DO NOT USE HOPPER.COM

If I could, I would give a -10 review for hopper.com. The hotel I stayed at was supposed to be a four-star hotel, which ended up being a disaster filled with roaches bathroom that hardly worked. Did you have to say the hotel manager was very pleasant and offered to give me a full refund. Here is where the problem lies, she tried to initiate the refund and hopper, who went through their "partner" booking.com blocked the refund and said I needed to contact them so I try to contact booking.com because that is what the message told the manager of the hotel. I was unable to talk to them because I didn't have the confirmation code and pin number for booking.com which come to find hopper.com had but would not provide to me, so I didn't contact Hopper and it is impossible to find anything on their health section about my issue let alone a simple email button to email them. I had to join their VIP service just for the opportunity to message someone that cost $25. I spoke to them, and they said they would contact their partner, to contact the hotel, to approve the refund, which is already been approved and I've heard it done all the legwork for. And over a three week process got the excuse repeatedly from hopper.com that the hotel was unavailable and they could not get a hold of them, which was funny because I had told him multiple times during this period. I finally got so frustrated. I drove two hours to the hotel that I stayed at had to sit down with the manager face-to-face contact Hopper to tell them I was at the hotel face-to-face with the manager and that there would be no excuse they could not get a hold of her finally, after doing so magically they got a hold of her and my refund was processed. Which took three weeks and I had to drive a round-trip of four hours, which I had to takeoff work early to do so. So my advice is spend the extra $10 and he was booking.com yourself because that is all they're doing. I do not know how this company has stayed in business with the ridiculous business practices. Spend the extra money, book it yourself at the hotel or booking.com and avoid this joke sideshow of a business at all cost!

Love this app. Awesome deals. I recently got a room. The hotel was horrible. I wrote them and their ended up covering all the expenses for us to go to another hotel. I highly recommend hopper to everyone

SCAM

They will do everything to scam you out of your money and there is almost no way to contact anyone to fix issues. They also purposefully make their app confusing to the customer so that you cant get all the information you need to be an informed consumer. I was refunded a voucher, even though I requested a refund well before 24 hours after purchasing. When using the voucher, I assumed I could use part of it and the rest of it later but they told me it was a voucher and I forfeited the rest of it and refused to budge. This was not explained to me when they gave me the voucher and take no responsibility for their lack of communication. This site is intended for you to make mistakes and have to pay for it.

Hello, I'm Lisa G a special needs counselor, daycare provide, and a army veteran.

After talking to a cousin who had used hopper more several times, I decide to try it.
On March 16th bought charged; I bought 2 JetBlue plane tickets through the company Hopper costing $2,746.90. Flight Going from DCA to JFK to UVF Returning from UVF to JFK to DCA. JetBlue canceled/removed the return flight that goes from JFK to DCA and added a flight to BOS ending there. No flights were added or made available to take us back to DCA. JetBlue issued a refund to me but I told them thats not my credit card number I purchased the ticket with. Now I can't even get Hopper online to even request my refund to a flight that JetBlue canceled and changed. Hopper has put in place a system that actual does not get you to any help once the booking was removed to give me my money back. It is a total scam. I should't even have to request a refund for a trip JetBlue canceled. JetBlue should be sending me my money directly. Please investigate their practices. There is no way to even have a conversation about my issue; Hopper has no contact number or just a chat line agent for questions or issues. Help Center press contact support, takes you to visit help center back booking; lest just say its a vicious cycle going round and around. Easy to purchase. Hard to reach Help.
Please Help Me. I'm working 2 jobs so to not be refunded is not only financially hurting me but mentally. JetBlue is so wrong for this too. I had to quickly buy more expensive flights with AA. How they canceled my flight to get home, with no alternatives to the flight they removed. It's just wrong. Unable to add the proof pic but will as soon as I figure out how its not accepting the pic pixcel.

Expiring vouchers

Instead of refunding your money they give you a voucher so you can spend even more money with there company this company robs you with no gun they took advantage of a situation there was a death in my family and I needed to get somewhere and the flight was cancelled and instead of giving me my money back they gave me a voucher and told me I signed up for it but never showed me the proof

Not happy this time

I have to say, this is the first time i'm not happy with Hopper. Hopper charged me twice for the same car rental. So far, going back & forth via email is frustrating; each time (4 email so far) I get a response from a different person and have to provide the same documents. The only way you can speak to a customer service representative is by paying $9.00. WTF. Still no refund.

First time i made an online hotel booking using Hopper with 3 separate bills charged to my credit card. Before the booking they already charged me $126 for price freeze and $25 for VIP support then $366.98 for the hotel. Reservation is confirmed and is fully refundable. Then when i needed to cancel my reservation, they said the $126 price freeze is non-refundable. I usually use expedia and for the same price total of $488 as shown in one straight pricing is actually easy to refund in full. I don't recommend and i will never again use this site or app to book in the future. Use other travel sites that will show you one straight upfront pricing. Fully refundable means full refund for your total payments!

It wasn't the first time, the first time they didn't give me the price guarantee I bought and later they couldn't provide me with the flight that I froze with them, they had my money in their ac for 21 days that they could use and in the end, they just returned me the money. All in all, they advertise things they cant offer. Don't be fooled by their offers as all are just ways to scam. The airline already provides customers with another flight if the flight is canceled, don't need to pay Hopper for that! And their price freeze is just a scam as they couldnt provide me with the flight I froze with.

We presented our confirmation info to our hotel in Moab, UT for our family trip. My husband could not check in because the front desk had zero of our info. We had our Hopper confirmation info and it was useless. We attempted to contact customer support but the site said they'd get back to us within 24 hours. We recreated our booking with the front desk and filed a claim with our credit card company to get our initial investment back. They totally took our money and screwed us over. Will never use Hopper again.

It can take hours to figure out how to complete. After failing at that, you have to contact Hopper and pay $40 for chat support. I had to change days on one of two tickets and it ended up a nightmare.

I recently got the app and book a trip to Hong Kong and China, be awere that this app sold me a premium economy ticket for $2000, I was happy!
Then realized that they full me, they send me premium economy on my way there and now I'm am in normal economic! Please pay attention to detail, they are NOT to be trusted, in the end was more expensive then any other ticket NEVER AGAIN! And jut FYI they will try to sale all types of insurances and other crap to take your money, horrible deal!

My mom made a reservation on Hopper and got confirmation by email. Then the next day, she got an email saying our reservation was canceled. When she called the airline, they said that our reservation was in the system but that Hopper had to finish processing it. As my mom was going back-and-forth with the Hopper representative via email, (since it's not possible to speak to Hopper by phone), eventually, the representative got back to us and said that our flight was canceled because of unavailability and we would have to rebook. Of course, now the tickets for that flight are $70 per person more. This is absolutely unacceptable. There are seven of us traveling, and those dollars add up! We should not have to pay for their mistake.

Worst experience

Even though I signed up and paid heavily for "no charge" cancel/change for my flight I was still charged 200 dollars to change my flight. They also seriously limit your options for rebooking to use the same airports and other restrictions. But the story gets even even "better" Ie. Worse from there! I booked a return flight using 2 different airlines, as that was all that was available. And had to pay two sets of hefty baggage checking fees. The first flight left 3 hours late, causing me to miss the connecting flight. Hopper told me I lost the money on the checked bag fee for the second flight, and had to pay a THIRD checked bag fee for the return flight. Smh! Also, they make you pay 15 dollars every single time you need to interact with a customer service rep in real time. Or else you have to email and take 48 hours to get a response. No customer service number to be found either. Biggest scam going. And this hopper app is absolutely not any kind of budget/deal. You will end up spending hundreds more dollars than you thought you would, rather than saving money. So it's absolutely better to just buy from an airline instead of these 3rd party con artists. I cannot stress enough— never use hopper!

I have never used Hopper and did not know about its existence until there were a series of charges from Hopper on my Mastercard. I tried to contact customer service, to find out why they were hitting my credit card, but evidently there is no straightforward way to get ahold of them, nor do they seem to have a fraud division.
BE CAREFUL if you use a credit card with them if you want to avoid the hassle of delegitimizing their charges.

Hopper is the worst 3rd party to book with! They will make everything sound like a sweet deal but then in the end scam you. Getting your money back from them even after the hotel or where ever you rented agrees to issue one they will not or they will try to give you partial ans keep
The other half. It's so complicated to speak to a representative, then if you do they are not helpful at all! You can find the "deals" they have on the original company's website! I'd use Priceline before them!
