Complete Scam
September 10, 2023

Hopper refused to refund my card after I purchased car insurance directly through the rental car company. Reason I did this was I found out that Hoppers rental car insurance is sub-par and if an accident were to happen, I would be on the hook for the charges. Thankfully I listened to the rental car company rep and purchased car insurance through them. The Hopper rep argued with me for over an hour while I contacted the rental car company directly to get itemized receipts. Even after providing this to Hopper they refused to refund me $60. Do not use them! Do your research with rental car insurance and you will understand why Hopper is false advertising and fraudulent.

I booked a hotel with hopper. When I checked in the room there was a roach infestation so horrible that roaches were literally crawling on my feet when I checked in to the room, the room was still filthy from the last guest, I had to sleep in my car because the roaches were literally crawling out of the bed sheets. Hopper chose not to put me in another hotel. I have never had a more experience with a booking site. I recommend exepedia because they would never have let this monstrosity happen. The hotel desk then became hostile with me because I told hopper about the roach infestation.

I absolutely love the Hopper Travel App! It's a game-changer for finding the best flight deals. The predictive fare alerts are spot on, and the user-friendly interface makes booking a breeze. Saving money and time has never been so easy! Highly recommended. Get a $25 Hotel Voucher by downloading the app, going to "EARN" on Main Screen, go to bottom and tap; "Redeem A Code" and enter PAULS7EB. Then on the "EARN" page at the top tap the "REWARDS" tab and then tap "CLAIM". That's It and it's good immune for any hotel immediately with no blackout dates.

So Disappointed

I hate this app and have lost so much money. I got the cancel for any reason because life happens. The first cancelation I was given a credit and one year to use it, not a refund. On a second flight no matter how many times I tried to cancel the flight was still scheduled. I had the cancel for any reason yet I could not cancel. When I spoke to customer service instead of canceling and giving me a refund they said they had to investigate the problem. This app will rob you any way they can. You are warned Hopper is a bunch of false promises.

I haven't had too many problems with them but then the moment I do they tell me they can't help me. I accidentally clicked freeze price and was charged $120! I purchased the ticket 5 minutes later so obviously I didn't need the freeze option. They wouldn't refund my money. For this reason I will not be doing business with them in the future, they stand to lose much more than the $120. No future referrals will be given to this company and I will go to the competition.

Fraud!

Looked into Hopper but never signed up for any travel. BUT! A massive charge went through on my credit card that I had reversed.

The replacement card number was known by no one but the bank and me. Guess what? Two more unauthorized charges that had to be reversed.

Hopper made three charges I never ordered. Absolutely the worst. Would never trust this firm with my personal or credit card info. No deal is worth this and from what I see, they don't have really good deal either, especially when the bad charges show up.

Beware it's a scam

Absolutely not to be trusted and worst customer service ever! We booked flights to Tunisia, they contacted us a few weeks before the trip to tell us that the dates we booked are not available and we need to change to their other suggested date and so we did. Once there, 3 days before our return they said the flights were cancelled and that we had to book new ones on our own. They offer us a "refund" that wasn't even a quarter of what we paid and only reach our bank accounts after 3 months. We lost money, were stranded in a foreign country and had to go on overdraft to pay on our own on an extremely short notice. Responses and customer service were super slow. They also have no phone line. What a scam

Total garbage and forced to double pay for my car.
Booked and prepaid through Hopper to rent a car with Budget. I got charged from Budget- more than the original amount on Hopper. Tried to get help from Hopper and they basically shrugged and said that there was nothing to be done. The CS rep kept saying that they had probably charged for insurance which was absolutely wrong and had nothing to do with anything. I will NEVER EVER use them again. Way better resources out there. I am really sorry i took the chance on them.

DONT USE HOPPER

I booked a hotel room for my birthday and when I got there, they would not let me check in so I called hopper for a refund which they approved the next day (08/12/2023) and I am still waiting (08/26/2023). I have called hopper several times and each time they told me that they have processed it but I still don't have it. Today I called and they asked for my bank statements! NEVER BOOK A HOTEL WITH THEM.

Walk by it but don't stay

It is a cute historic home but it is definitely not worth the price or having to deal with the management. I booked through a third party and was never contacted by the hotel. When I called to find out how to check in I was literally screamed at because the third party didn't send them my contact info. I gave the owner/manager my info and then when I didn't receive the instructions via email I called back. The manager/owner had taken down the wrong information for no other reason than they wouldn't stop yelling over me. Being that it is a historic home the plumbing doesn't work well and you will have spiders as room guests

Customer service is very bad, if you need their service urgently they are not interested in your situation, they play with your time regardless of your need for their service. I do not recommend them, I spent all day trying to solve a problem I had and still no answers.

Desagradable experiencia

Esta aplicación es una estafa, te hacen creer que rentaras un auto económico y cuando llegar a recoger el auto te dicen que como eres residente de la florida, tienes que dar un depósito mayor, tienes que comprar un seguro de 40 dlls diarios, pagar otro fee de 40 dlls y al final terminas pagando el seguro que te vende hopper en su app y el auto, para llegar a la conclusión hopper no me quizo devolver nada por cancelar la renta después de que te mienten con la información que te proporcionan.
Tengan muchísimo cuidado no la recomiendo en absoluto

Booked at Hyatt times Square in May. Hotel took my Hopper Reservation and billed me a second time.$250. Hotel wouldn't do anything, saying I had to deal with Hopper. Credit card, Chase, wouldn't do anything and said I had to deal with hotel, I cancelled the card. I followed Hopper's customer service steps and nothing. No return email, no answer to a follow up email. 100% rip off. Sound up spending $500 for a band box of a room.could've just driven home.

DON'T DO IT

Can't decide which is worse the app or the customer service. I highly recommend booking through the actual airline or literally any other booking resource. I lost so much money because of hopper.

A scam. I booked a private room in a hostel - because that is exactly what the hostel had advertised. Despite having screenshots of both the advertised room and the room that I booked both showing a private room (and not a 12 bed dorm as the hostel then told me it would be) to prove this when requesting a refund because of false advertising, I was accused of lying for 45 minutes on the phone and given a non-monitored email inbox to send the actual proof to. I have literally done nothing wrong and have been the victim of a scam, then somehow accused of being the problem. Now when I check the hostels advertised rooms, the images and ads are no longer for a single private room but have been corrected for the dorm, yet still no response to or refund to me. Appalling behaviour from any business.
