We pre ordered ham and turkey for our Thanksgiving diner tomorrow. We had our confirmation number and traveled one hour to pick up our order. The woman said, "We sold out." No, apologies offered. She did say, "Yea, a lot of people are going to be upset ". Who does this? Why take orders you cannot fill? Two hours driving for naught. We will not support this business in the future.
My husband visited the Coleraine store this morning, 12/21/22; Refused the 10% military discount displayed on line, "we don't do that anymore"; no hams over 9.8 lbs; don't allow customers to look at ham
Prior to purchase, which was always allowed? Are they trying for poor reviews? Another staple 'bites the dust'. It's just so disappointing, not to mention the price. Last year for us! JaL Fairfield, Ohio
Had 1/2 honey baked ham and a turkey breast. Not much flavor. Over promised, under delivered. My feet are walking elsewhere. Last three hams didn't taste like they used to. I wonder if they they have been sold.
Ordered the brisket. Package says Keep frozen, and instructions say from fresh. I emailed customer service and heard nothing. Searched online and found posts on Facebook from 8 year ago stating it needs thawed. Moved it to the fridge. Other comments that you cannot refreeze the meat once thawed.
2 days later customer care responds that it is cooked from frozen (3.5 pounds cook in 45 minute from frozen, doesn't make sense) and let's me know I can go ahead and refreeze MY brisket.
This has been a horrible experience and the last time I'll get anything from this company. Terrible service, zero care for quality. Never again.
Folks have always offered the best holiday ham in the world.
For the last 4 years you switched to a $5 supermarket brand coffee cake, and our holidays have changed, after 15 years, because we refuse to serve it for dessert
I went to buy a quarter ham for dinner today and with covid they aren't opening the hams so you can glance at them and decide if you want it, anyways my ham was burnt and bitter. The standards that they claim to have when glazing and preparing their hams is no longer there. Very dissatisfied and upset. I can not go return it since I don't have a ride until the following week & for then it is too late. I guess my dogs will enjoy an early Thanksgiving 45$ ham.
I went to the store located in Villa Park Illinois. The food was excellent and easy to prepare. Everyone loved it! My cashier Tracy was very helpful and a great lady. She helped me out to my car with a full ham and turkey meal with all the sides. Everything was excellent and easy to heat up. Thank you so much for making my Easter easier for me so I could spend more time with the kids and grandkids!
I specifically ordered a honey ham to be delivered on 12/20 as a holiday gift. I just received an email that it is being delivered today. I am disappointed with the change in the delivery date. I had wanted delivery on 12/23 but that delivery fee was over $50.00 so I picked the closest delivery date to 12/23 which because of the weekend was 12/20. Why ask when you want the item to arrive if you are going to change the delivery date... so I have since had to notify the person the honey ham was purchased for to let them know to expect it today. Luckily, they will be home.
Years ago, we enjoyed it every year, but then the quality went down and one year we got a horrible ham. Since then, we've only had it a couple times and it was good. This year, we received a gift certificate for a 7 lb. ham and I ordered it online. Unfortunately, the hams were 9 to 10 pounds, so we had to pay a little extra, but we also received a $5.00 discount for picking it up the next day. The ham was $81.00 and the gift certificate $64.00 off of that, we so saved $69.00 on an $81.00 ham. It was delicious and we've enjoyed it for an entire week now. Once the ham is gone, we'll have the ham bone for stock.
The ham was really good, but I'm bound to say that $81.00 for a ham is an outrageous price, even with the price increases in ham the past few years and the current inflationary spike we can thank our political and financial masters in Washington DC for.
Overall: Good Ham, Super High Price... and glad we got a gift certificate for it.
I have been buying honey baked and and Turkey for the past five years and have never had an issue. The line is usually around the building however it goes very fast and I've never had an issue picking up my products that I reserved. The staff at the San Jose location are fast, friendly, and efficient. The food is always a hit with my family and since I usually host Thanksgiving dinner I trust that I can relax and my food will be ready for pickup!
Is it me or is there ham and turkey way too salty? Last minute decison to buy instead of cooking. I was cook all my meats but this year COVID changed our plans and I needed meat at last minute. The ham and turkey breast were so salty you couldn't eat more than one piece. I spent alot of money on meat to put in freezer to use in soups or jambalaya because of salt content. Best part of Thanksgiving were the side I made. Lesson learned. Never again!
I am so angry and disappointed in Honey Baked Ham Company! I placed my Easter Dinner order a week ago and it never got delivered. L paid for it, they charged my card and the day before Easter, still has not gotten here. It was supposed to be here yesterday. I've sent 3 emails and the haven't responded. I call customer service, twice and both times they kept me on hold for over 3 hours just to disconnect me once I was down to caller 3 in the queue. In a time like this with us all locked down and our hopes are already low, I'm even more hopeless that this company can salvage our small plan for Easter. We will try though, at this last minute to see if some other local establishment an help us! Never will be a go to!
They use to be good, but this year and last year were a complete disappointment. There was no honey glaze on it at all which was their signature topping, now it's just an over smoked ham. I will say it was tender the first time we slice some off and heated it as instructed, but for the price I could have picked up 2 ham's from Ralphs that would have been better, even have a little extra money for other things. It may be because this was out of the Ventura business, not really sure but we will not be ordering again from them. My wife emailed them letting them know and they never responded at all, horrible customer service to top it off. Sorry not sorry, I work hard for my money and it will not be going to them next time.
I ordered two smoked turkey breast for Thanksgiving. Well I was told by honey ham I will receive on Nov 21st. Im hoping & praying it thaws out in time for Thanksgiving. I have not ever had a problem with them until now. I hope the CEO reads this so it wont happen to anyone else.
Like many recent reviews, I did not receive my order on the date promised (4/10) nor did they meet the follow up delivery of 4/11 or 4/12. I only received a single email from AFTER the initial missed delivery date. There was no tracking number or way to contact them aside from their standard support number. On Saturday, their support line had an estimated wait time of more than 600 minutes. Finally today, they replied to a message requesting a refund saying it would take them 2 weeks to issue a refund. It's funny how it takes them 30 seconds to charge my card but 2 weeks to issue a refund. One of the worst experiences I've had with an online business.
I have the same problem others have had with Easter deliveries. Ordered on 4/7 and my card was charged on 4/8. The delivery was scheduled by Honey baked on 4/10. We are home all day every day and no delivery. I tried calling but wait times where too long. Emailed and no response. My card still has the charge on it today. I would never order from this company again. Why did they continue to take orders they could not fulfill. So disappointing. I would not recommend any one use their delivery service. Such bad business.
This used to be the best ham you could buy, the usually glazed outside is sweet, my ham was black and very smoky tasting. The out side which is usually my fav was very hard and inedible. Sadly in trash, thank goodness there were a lot of great sides. I found location and service to be very good, but at the cost, I will go to Costco for my next ham.
I have bought a HBHam from the same location since 1994. When I arrived to get one today I was told the were "no hams available for walk in customers". I asked if I could make an online order and pick it up and was told no. I guess they don't really want to sell their over priced hams. Good thing the ones at Wegman's are of the price and just as tasty. Never buying from Honey Baked again.
I started buying Honey Baked Hams 40 years ago when I lived in Chicago. They were pink on the inside, tender and covered in a delightful golden sugary crust. Served with au gratin potatoes, a salad and a dessert, they made for an easy "company" dinner. Now, I live in Western Colorado. Bought a Honey Baked Ham today in Grand Junction for $75. Got it home and discovered that it was burned black on the outside, tough, dry, and dark red on the inside. What a disappointment. It's the second such HBH that I've gotten. Will never buy another!
My own body rejected this so-called turkey. The only part that we could try to stomach was the part that is sugar coated, most likely because the sugar covered up the bad taste. It tasted like it was meat gone bad. Unfortunately we purchased two back at thanksgiving and put one in the freezer for Christmas. So sad how dishonest these companies have become during the so=called pandemic. NEVER AGAIN!
Answer: Happy dog, Happy family? Our local store has good turkey but we go mostly for the hams. They are uniquely good
Answer: Hi Simone! The directions are from frozen, please enjoy! :)
Answer: Hi Angela! Our whole turkeys are fully cooked and ready to enjoy. From thawed, take the turkey out of the refrigerator and remove from bag. Place in a roasting pan breast side up then loosely cover with aluminum foil and bake for 1 1/2 - 2 hours or until warm. Carve, serve and refrigerate unused portions immediately. From frozen, preheat over to 350°. Remove turkey from bag and place in roasting pan breast side up then loosely cover with aluminum foil and bake for 4 - 4 1/2 hours or until warm. Carve, serve and refrigerate unused portions immediately.
Answer: I wish I did! Instead you get stuck on the phone waiting for 30-40 minutes and then they hang up on you! Trust me…I'm right with you! My Thanksgiving meal that was ordered on 10/31 was ruined!
Answer: Did the same thing to me! Who, wants to eat anything that has been un-refrigerated in a box for 5 days!
