They sell you car will "complete" insurance that the actual car rental company will refuse to accept, then Holiday Auto refuses to refund your money because you had to go to pick up your car and can only learn this once you're there and Holiday Auto says, too late." Just go to your credit card company to recover your money because Holiday Auto is knowingly creating fraudulent misrepresentation. A criminal offense.
Placed a reservation, waited all day for a confirmation. Reached out to customer service and they say they could not do anything at this time, the rep suggested to cancel the reservation and made further arrangements. Only to find out that the agent never cancel the reservation and got stuck with a cancelation fee. Don't recommend! Don't use this service!
Absolutely avoid at all costs! Will ruin your holiday or hire experience. I booked a car through holiday autos. Only once booked do they mention that you have to have a valid credit card for collection. But they are happy to take the money from your debit card. Once booked and the money is taken there is no option for a refund or cancellation. The biggest scam artists out there. They have no customer contact number and the website is awful to navigate once a booking is made. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid!
I would rate them with negative stars if I could. When I arrived in Mexico they tried to charge me an additional 5x what they initially said the price would be. We were stranded and had to piece it together with Uber since they are deceptive referring to BS fine print and not taking reasonable forms of payment. HORRIBLE experience and subsequent "support" from the company.
I reserved a rental through holiday auto rentals and of course they charged me for it. When I got to my destination, I was denied for the rental even though I had proof of the rental. So they made me to do another rental policy and told me that I would get my money back from the first one. Well, they denied the credit and said that there is nothing they can do!
Don't touch these guys. They are thieves. I cancelled my 12 day rental contract on the first day of the contract when I found I could not fly due to COVID results. They retained every penny of the £550 I paid them. I feel sick.
I will never use this company again. There provided us the wrong information leaving us unable to locate our rental. Wehad to pay the insurance twice. There is no way to contact them at any time until the location ended.
I booked 3 days in advance a car in Barcelona, for 5 days, at a good price, thru holidays auto. I received the voucher with booking confirmation 3 days in advance of my flight. The night before my morning fight, I received an email from them, that my booking was cancelled because they couldn't contact me, and if I have any questions to write back. I responded asking not to cancel that reservation. Never got any response back. They let me hang to dry, with no rental reservation when I arrived in Barcelona.
Booked car rental, travel plans changed - tried to modify the car reservation, they do not answer e-mails, only chat. And then they give the runaround - call the car company, car company tells you that the consolidator can only modify the reservation. I have an outstanding of $250 - because of this screw up. NEVER use them. Bunch of scammers.

It happened to me, my flight was delayed by less than 2h, my booking got cancelled, they took all money and refused to refund. My family was stuck at airport, and exhausted after a long flight. Before the trip I tried several times to add my flight number to my booking, but their website did not accept my flight number due to "technical issue", I explained and they still refused to refund.
Trying to get in touch with them to claim a refund. According to one of their agents it is not possible to use any Apple devices to cancel or modify a booking. I have use my iPad to make a booking so it is been a nightmare to get back top them. I have used my laptop from work to do open that booking.
I will have to reject the payment in my bank if nobody gets back to me.
I will definitely not use them anymore
We rented the car from then in Vancouver, Canada, paid upfront for everything and returned the car to them in Calgary Airport, 2 weeks later. The inspector examined the car and found it in perfect condition.
A month later their branch in Mississauga charged my credit card for £185. First, we never went to Mississauga, second, when called, they denied the charge. However, never took the charge away from my card. I called again, they couldn't find a reason for charging me. So they lied: additional taxes, they said. When asked for the specification, they hanged up. Impossible to communicate with them.
I could not believe it is happening. Arrived in Miami airport, waited for shuttle, after 15 min of waiting called the number provided in reservation and the answer was - " sorry, we don't have a car for you". To my question, "how come? I have a reservation?", the answer was "yes, you have reservation but we don't have a car…."
To my question "but I paid paid even for the reservation and it was confirmed …", the answer was - "yes, you paid for reservation only - it is not full amount - so why to worry …"
It was a start if of my family vacation…. If you don't want such surprises - don't even try this company …
Rented a car from Budget via holidayautos and they said they'd just refund the days I'm not using but holidayautos doesn't refund or allow early return. That's beyond inconvenient and incompetent, plans change and it's not a big effort to pass the refund on to the customer, never going to rent from this place again.
Do not rent from this company! They will rip you off! If you do, read, read, read the fine print and always ask for an explanation of charges before you leave. Ask for an explanation of charges before you drive the vehicle off the lot. Still, I would not recommend this company. Pay a little more for piece of mind and rent from a reputable rental car company.
I reserved and paid the rental of a car in Monterrey, MX through Holiday Autos and when I went to get it, Europcar wanted to charge me 500 Dóllars minimum for the insurance, would not accept the insurance included in my credit car, and the amount that I had to leave as a deposit was ******* US instead of ******* Us included in the conditions. They were also really rude and threatening regarding the insurance, that they wanted to sell me at any cost, which was twice as expensive as the total cost of a car in any other rental company. So I lost all my money and my time getting to pick it up to the airport. There is no way to contact Holiday Autos to complain or to try to find a solution. Horrible experience! Never again!
Holiday Autos will happily send you to Goldcar who will steal money off you, then when you ask holiday Autos for help they will refer you to the people who stole off you. When I booked I thought I had a contract with holiday Autos but they say no and will do nothing to get your stolen money back. So why bother using them?
Booked a car at Sixt through them. Paid for insurance coverage through Holiday Autos, and thoir site said "The car hire supplier may ask you to purchase excess insurance at the desk. You should not need this insurance as you are covered if you add our Damage Refund Insurance." However at the counter I was told I'd have to pay a deposit of $3000 to rent the car! Then when I canceled the rental through Holiday Autos, they charged me a $59 "cancelation fee" for a car I never was able to rent due to their deceptive lies on their website! Avoid this company at all costs!

If I could give them zero stars, then I would. Booked to pick up a car in Tenerife over Christmas. This car had a much smaller boot size then we booked for and no alternative was available. I couldn't fit in two small suitcases into a car boot that was supposed to fit three suitcases. Advised by their representative not to take the car and holiday autos would give us a full refund. To date no refund received, they said they would not give me one as I did not take the car upgrade offered (not an alternative, an upgrade that I would have to pay more for) and furthermore emails have not been answered. Avoid this company at all costs.
