Booked a car through Holiday Autos (see my review) and was allocated a car from Goldcar. When I arrived after a 20 minute wait I was booked in and showed all the relevant documents including my extra insurance that I bought before travelling. I gave my credit card to allow them to block an amount in case of damage. All was well until I returned home and found that Goldcar had taken £165 from my credit card. I contacted Holiday Autos but the couldn't/wouldn't help so I contacted Goldcar who said I had purchased extra insurance. They emailed me a copy of the insurance document that had no customer signature on it. This was no surprise as I had never seen it and never asked for insurance, however they would not reimburse me. DO NOT GO NEAR GOLDCAR they will steal from you and you won't get your money back. On the upside because I could show my credit card provider evidence that I already had insurance and provided correspondence with Goldcar they reimbursed me. Don't rely on that happening, choose a reputable company and pay a bit more.
