Don't rent a vehicle from these people they are disgrace and need to be put out of business. They took my payments and refused to give me a rental car when I showed up
These guys are the worst. We reserved a car - actually paid in advance for it through them on Kayak. Arrived a little bit late to pick the car up on the day of the rental. Not only was there NO CAR there for us to pick up - they still charged us 100% of the rental cost. They then lied to our credit card bank and said we were later than we actually were. I've been back and forth with my bank trying to clear the charges but these guys are relentless. Avoid them at all costs. You will get no car but will be charged.
12 day rental taken because pickup time incorrect but flight number entered correctly, couldn't pick up next day or any attempt to help, left with family stuck at airport 11pm at night, had to hire another car for 12 days. No customer care just hiding behind t and cs.
Reserved a car with HA 3 years ago for ~50€, then they charged my credit card ~350€ and said it was Hertz fault. Told them I won't do business with them again and have tried repeatedly to unsubscribe from their emails, but they keep spamming me every week. Very poorly run outfit, look elsewhere.
First time renting a car and it was an absolute nightmare through this company. They charged me twice for a single vehicle reservation and I have yet to receive a refund for the double charge. I highly recommend avoiding this 3rd party booking website if you can.
I rented a vehicle with them to pick up in Brazil on July 28 at 9:00 am and return on Aug 13. Our flight to Brazil was delayed and I was not able to call them before the pick up time to let them know we were going to be late. I called at 10:45 and I was told our reservation had already been cancelled and there was nothing they could do. They never return my money and said that I had agreed to they policy to call them in case of a delay. I was not able to call them before as I was inside of a plane. Now that I have read their reviews, I see that they are scammers. I never used them before and I will never use them again. Be aware, do not waste your money
Telling a customer in the midst of a coronavirus outbreak who just wants to use the entire day he's paid for because of a flight change that "next time, you need to pick a time that you can commit to", and then hanging up in his face when he finds that advice ridiculous, is probably not the best way to handle traveling customers during the biggest travel slump since 9/11
I could not be more disappointed in the service we got from Holiday Autos. When we showed up they literally DID NOT have the car that we had paid for. I waited hours on the phone to talk to customer service and they didn't give me any money back whatsoever. Hundreds of dollars down the drain for literally no car and terrible service.
Definitely stay away. They knowingly overbook car rental agencies and then claim you were a no-show at the airport. Attendant left before we got there and they had our flight information. They didn't have a car for us. Happened to several others who were at the airport too. We were informed this is a common scam.
I had the misfortune of booking with this rental company over the holidays during the omicron surge. I was traveling internationally and experienced delays that prevented me from arriving on time to pick up the car. I was a mere 10 minutes late to picking up a car within their arcane 24-hour policy. I traveled with four children to Jamaica, and for two weeks we had to fend for ourselves because of this companies inexplicable policy that takes your money and leaves you stranded in a foreign country. I would be very careful -- when I tried to retrieve the car, they almost ran out of cars and there was no guarantee that we would have gotten the car even if we were on time. There was no recourse for the circumstances, no effort at customer service outside of two emails and automated emails to remind you that they are reviewing your account. Worse, they not only refused me service, they refused to give me a refund. It was awful and I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone else.
We book a car on their website for 486 $, and when we arrive to take it near the Miami Airport they forced us to take their insurance and added other fees to come up to a total of 1155 US$.
Impossible to get any refund for our deposit or to talk to an agent
Rented through Holiday autos expecting my whole payment to go through, when I arrived rental company I was told the insurance part of the payment did not go though due to holiday autos error. The only solution given was to forget about the car and money paid or pay over the triple amount the insurance would of originally cost. Holiday autos scams their customers, don't rent with them!
What a terrible company. I booked a car for pick up at Heathrow T5 and they changed it to T2. When I realised I contacted them but as was within 48hrs they would not change / cancel without a charge. My wife has mobility issues, combined with late arrival, heading to different terminal was not an option - besides, we had specially booked to pick up at T5. I had to cancel and have paid the charge and now can not get a sensible response out of them. What a load of rubbish and NEVER use this service.
Do not use Holiday Autos unless you want to be absolutely robbed! I booked a car through this service and when I arrived the car was not there. I was told to make a second booking and was assured I would be refunded for the first booking. It is now months later and I have been told I will never be refunded for my booking. I cannot emphasize enough how much you should never book through Holiday Autos.
I rented a car for a week in a foreign country and due to delays, arrived a day later. At that point, the rental company gave away the car and had no car to provide when I arrived. Despite this, these crooks charged me for the entire week even though I had not used the car for a single day because no cars were available.
They took the booking and canceled after 2 weeks! Now I have to pay more for a new booking as they did not rent the van for me at the source! Also, 25 days waiting time for the refund! Avoid at all cost!
We rented from Europcar trough Holiday Autos for $165 USD for our vacation in Mexico. Europcar told us if we want to decline the CDW Insurance, we must pay a fee (not an insurance ot taxes but an additional fee) of over $360 USD. The contract clearly states that I can deny their CDW but does not mention anything about an additional fee if I choose to do so. After spending 40 minutes international call with Holiday Autos, I was advised just to walk away and file a claim with Holiday Autos. It was a big pain to file a claim trough their automated chat bot. After going back and forth with multiple phone calls and email, they came up with all excuses to make it look like it is my fault that I didn't pay and that's why the car was not released to me. Absolute scam!
Goldcar in Mallorca airport mentioned as an excuse to charge me 10x more for the car that I should not use Holiday Autos. It was humiliating. Both Goldcar and Holiday Autos are a shame to work with.
The extra insurance Holiday Autos sells on top of the rental fee itself was not taken into consideration by Goldcar who charged me a lot more for the service.
Humiliating. Goldcar is a scam. It was a horrible way to start my holidays.

We paid for car rent in Bari (from 24 to 26 of August) on their cite, payment was accepted. But when we come to the renting point (Goldcar in Bari Airport, Italy), we couldn't take the car.
Because Holiday cars didn't warn us about details of renting. On their site they accept all kinds of card, but in email they didn't warn that we need to have specific type of card while on the renting point.
So we didn't get the car, we lose more than 100 euros. We want a refund for this poor service. But they just ignored us. Scammers!
We didn't know that Holiday Autos had been sold to Car Trawler when we booked a car from Madeira Airport, and we subsequently paid for it.
They use the dreaded Goldcar (ace rip-off merchants) who bill you for a quick return despite them wanting you to park 600m away and await them arriving to check the car - a non-existent service costing 36 euro.
They also give you a hard time on arrival if (woe betide) you haven't bought their own insurance excess policy - available for another 115 euro for a week.
Don't bother complaining to Holiday Autos as they aren't the slightest bit interested.
Go elsewhere and do yourself a favour
