Ever played basketball with a chicken cutlet? You can now with this garbage. It bounces and is exactly like rubber. I've been to Mexico enough to know dog meat when I see and smell it. This company needs to go out of business. The meat is not right. None of it is good. The vegetables are moldy and stink. I couldn't store it in my fridge. Rotten potatoes, rotten everything. I'm disgusted. Waste of money no one has these days. Someone is going to get very sick on the fake meat. I hope they sue.
Terrible customer support and t&c is filled with hidden authorizations. I was recently looking at menus on hello fresh and was prompted to reactivate my account in order to see menus. It did not indicate that I would be charfed and sent food even if I didn't choose anything. Well it does and it did. Additionally they do not notify you until they are within the non-cancellation window of the charges. Thus you get stuck with a charge and in our case stuck with food being delivered while we are out of town. This is a bad business model and bad policy all around. Shame on them. Never again will we use or recommend this service.
I took a chance and ordered HelloFresh to try to make our week easier and to cook meals together as a family. Unfortunately, first week of orders, they sent ground pork instead of chicken with one of the meals. They also did not include the necessary spices in the order which would have come with them. These are not spices most would have on hand either. Second week was so much worse. We ordered a box of 4 meals. One with porkchops, 2 chicken, and a 4th of fish. We did not get any fish, only one chicken. The other two proteins they sent were ground pork again. The pork didn't go with any of the ingredients well, so we ended up with only having one meal of the 4 able to be made. Also, the cucumbers for one of the meals was rotten. When I contacted customer support both weeks, I found they do not give refunds but credits that I would receive after 16 boxes. That's 16 weeks of food that I no longer wanted because of the issues. On top of that, they don't credit the full meal that proteins are missing from and just give credits for the proteins themselves which meant the other ingredients went unused because we could not get to store to get replacements. I canceled and will not look back. Complete failure because I lost so much money on unusable food. I do not recommend them in any way.
You have to create an account to view meal options. After I decided it wasn't for me, I cancelled same day and received a cancellation confirmation. A month later a random box shows up and I'm charged $40. CS says I cancelled the subscription but not the delivery and it was already a "deep" discount so they will not refund. What even is a subscription if not delivery? A SCAM
Please be aware that you will be charged for your first meal order if you sign up on their website. JUST BY SIGNING UP IN THEIR WEBSITE! No freedom to go see and stay without ordering or planning to submit the order later! There is no exploring option given to customers. You cannot see what meals they offer or what would be the prices until you sign up and when you sign up, you are automatically charged for the meal plan that you are forced to choose when you sign up. This is cheating! For someone like me who is new to the system, you don't even realize that you made a Hello Fresh purchase until you get the purchase confirmation email with a charge to your credit card (you have to give the credit card number when you sign up too). I am very satisfied with the customer service though. The lady who responded to my call explained this clearly and cancelled my order without giving me any more trouble. However, I will get the refund in 3-5 business days only :) BUSINESS TRICKS! How many of us will spend time calling them, waiting in line, and cancelling the order? The majority of us will just let it pass thinking 'Oh, it is just one order. I don't have time to call and cancel. I will just accept it.'. That means they got another purchase order! She also said that they have alerted customers about this on their home page, but I didn't see any such messages there. Moreover, there was a HelloFresh booth at CNE Toronto and I got a discount code from there (that's why I went to the website and see what they offer and I was actually interested in giving it a try), but when I entered the code on the website, it said that the code was invalid! I checked the code several times thinking I made a mistake, but no, I entered the code I was given. This looked like a decent service, but now I don't think so. Very disappointed!
DO NOT TRUST THEM. THEY WILL USE YOUR CREDIT CARD AND SEND YOU WHAT THEY EANT. Hello Fresh are thieves. MAKE SURE YOU DONT ENTER YOUR CREDIT CARD. I was looking into buying from HelloFresh and take advantage of their discount to try their service. So I started putting on my information. I got to the point where they ask for your Credit card. They ask for that before you get to choose your meals. So I entered it. Then something came up and I thought I would come back later and finish it. I got sick and figured I would do it later. But before I can do that, a package shows up with meals I did not order. What was worse is we can't eat most of it because they sent spicy meals.
I called them and they just do not care. They said when I entered my credit card, that gave them permission to send whatever they want.
I have been pausing the weekly delivery every week because I did not even see that I could put my account on hold. I swear I did it for this week as I have done the past three weeks because I have a lot of bills and only started because I accidentally signed up. I wanted to see the menu and had planned to give it a try in the future. And instead it jumped to automatically sending me a box and no way to stop it. So I said okay it's fine I will see if it is cheaper than groceries. It is not. Now I had an urgent 300 dollar bill that I needed paid today. They tell me the card on file was denied. I go to check and hello fresh for 141 had taken out, removing the money I needed to pay this bill. The deliveries come on Thursday and it's Monday at noon. So I call and assume they will just refund the money and cancel the box since they ship from a warehouse close to your location day of. Instead the customer service that is of course in India tells me I agreed to the terms so deal with it and that they absolutely cannot stop the box because it's being assembled. I said so they are assembly it now with meat and other stuff to come on Thursday. They give me some rambling excuse because they know what they are telling me is bull$#*!. I emailed them and was told to please call. So I called them again and hear the same script being read to me because they cannot think for themselves and have no clue how to deal with customer service. I ask to speak to a supervisor and they tell me they will call me in 24 hours. So by the time they talk to me the box likely would be getting made. I've never used a service that has such a disregard for their clientele. I regret ever signing up. And I only got three boxes and two out of the three had some food that had gone bad. If you want to sign up do so at your own discretion. Cause they're super convenient until something goes wrong.
I tried hello fresh and my house burned down and the food was Sooooo bad that my sister died of that.
I will sue this scam loophole and save the world.
I tried HelloFresh, and the first week the produce was rotten. I decided to give it a second go for another week, with hopes it was a one-off. Unfortunately, the second box was more rotten. I tried to seek customer support and they only offered a small "credit" on my account, which only can be used when I order again (with no other discount/promo). Terrible quality and customer service.

I would give 0 stars if I could. I had nothing but problems with this company. They sent food to my old address several times after I gave them my new address. They gave me a credit for it and took it away.
They, then, sent me another box out of the blue and charged me for it. Don't waste your time and money.
I signed for a trial of 3 deliveries.
Was able to choose two and the third one was sent randomly!
Anyway to my surprise a month later they sent another box which I haven't ordered and they charged me for it! More to that when I refused the delivery, they said I was supposed to let them know 5 days in advance?!
So for 9 meals they charged me more than £100! This is more expensive than take away!
Scam. Beware. Their customer support can only apologise and ignore your queries, without even registering the complaint!
I tried a Hello Fresh trial box. Then they billed me $109 for a second box that I did not order. How do you sent a second box when I didn't pick the food? The lady said they can't cancel it even though the box didn't ship yet. I asked for a supervisor, she said they didn't have one. No supervisor on a Monday at 10:30am? Terrible customer service and bad business practice.
I ordered a box from Hello Fresh for delivery last Saturday, 12th August. When it arrived I had two packs of pork mince which was out of date - 11th August. This meant I had two meals I could not do. I have contacted Hello Fresh via live chat, via their customer service phone line twice and via Facebook messenger twice. They keep saying someone will contact me and 6 days later no one has and I have had no refund.
I would avoid this company at all costs. They customer service is useless and their product is not fresh.
Apparently you have to cancel both the subscription AND the boxes, otherwise they keep sending them and charging. We canceled the subscription and thought we were done, nope! You have to cancel the boxes too! So 4+ days after canceling, we get a notification that a box was delivered. Since we had canceled and didn't pick the recipes, HelloFresh just sent whatever was left in overstock. And of course it was everything that is not edible due to severe food allergies. They were asked to come get it back, but they won't. They just prefer to send people to the hospital and have them waste their money on low quality food. And since we had canceled the service several days before hand, noone could plan on being home to pick up the food. So it will sit for 12+ hrs in 90 degrees weather and spoil.
It was going to have to be thrown out anyways since nothing was allergy safe, but now it will be all nasty and smelly on the patio before it makes it to the trash. The credit card was closed down due to the company's untrustworthy practices and a charge dispute was also made.
I have called so many times regarding a gift card that I received for my birthday in May. I attempted to use the card and was told that I needed a credit card before I could use it. I DO NOT HAVE A CREDIT CARD.
I was told that I needed a form of ID I offered to send a copy of my passport or drivers license.
PLEASE REFUND THE 60.00 FOR THE GIFT CARD THAT I CANNOT USE
We ordered hellofresh for the first time and No cheese. On two of the dishes the cheese was missing. The fist evening we could use our cheese the second evening we did run out of cheese. A bad start and we canceled the service immediately.
I have been a member on and off for several years now. But they have forgotten my protein in my orders several times. I got no apology, from customer service. And no compensation for their mistake. They didn't care when I threatened to cancel my service. So I did.
I will never use their service again!
If you ever experience an issue that requires reaching out to speak to a representative, just know that while they are requesting that you wait while they reach out to a "specialist" for help the answer is already "no, we have no intention of actually trying to help. We just want you to think we are". They would rather lose customers before resolving an issue. There are some things in business that can't be fixed and some that can. The answer should not always be no. Doing the right thing is just lost on company's like Hello fresh.

I tried this once, one box at a discount rate as a trial, I wasn't able to navigate around the website so cancelled the subscription straight after. Since then I was called lastweek by the most extremely pushy and forceful sales person I have ever dealt with. Offering me discount, giving me dates, telling me that if I end the call I won't get the discount. Constantly ignoring my no thank yous and saying pick a date. I ended the call completely co fused by the whole thing and honestly shocked that this sales technique was still

I didn't trust the call as it felt very wrong, since then I have been back into the old account to see if there had been anything changed by the advisor, I could see meals (randomly selected) in the basket but no delivery date so thought that all was good and that I wouldn't be charged for anything and I wasn't receiving anything.
I was wrong, I have woken today to a text message from the courier to say my delivery is out for today. I have checked my bank account and Hellofresh have taken the money out my bank for another box that I never ordered!
I called hellofresh helpline within minutes only to be told that 1) it's too late the cancel which is why I'm being charged. 2) as I reactivated my account the deliveries will still continue to come and I'll continue to be charged. 3) I cannot refuse the box as they do not have a returns policy. 4) I have randomly selected meals. 5) they don't email or text to inform you about an upcoming delivery on the text when the courier is delivering. 6) I cannot have a refund because it's too late to cancel. 7) I am apparently still activated so boxes will continue to be sent and charged THIS HAS NOW BEEN DEACTIVATED! The caller conned me, put me in such a panic that the only reason I signed back in the account was to make sure all was ok. I didn't see anything that said if I sign in it's confirmation that I am reactivating and entering into a new agreement!
I didn't deactivate because I didn't know I had reactivated.
I just want my money back and the food gone and never have to deal with a company like this again.
Beware when using and especially when they call you!
Answer: I signed up and realised its a scam - your first order is only able to be placed 2 weeks away, meaning they get your money even if you use a coupon... and from other reviews they won't let you cancel. I just registered a voucher, saw the dates and tried to cancel... and can't - there is no "cancel" on their website
Answer: You will still have to pay for delivery and such because this company says those things cannot be covered by a gift card. Beware signing up, because they will subscribe you as soon as you enter credit card information. It is in their Terms and Conditions at the beginning of the process.
Answer: You're automatically on auto ship…any week you don't overtly cancel will get sent out and you'll get charged.
Answer: Nor really. They will want to give you a partial refund of the single ingredient you found to be of poor quality... and that's if you want to take the time to navigate the website to find out how to do it. Their website is totally designed to make customer service difficult.
