I didn't realize my family had used my account and changed delivery address. When I discovered I tried to redirect my order but Hello Fresh is not a company that can pivot. Now I will accept responsibility but I am done with company's whose customer service cannot pivot and be flexible. In my business I have to pivot all the time to meet customers demands. So after years of being a customer I am done- will try another service.
I decided to give this service a shot after seeing the great deal, but it turned out to be a huge letdown. The ingredients were either old or damaged, and it didn't include the essentials I always have at home like oil, sugar, or seasoning—despite claiming to cover everything. Instead of saving me time, it just added another trip to the store because I still needed a handful of items to complete the meals. I also tried to share the offer with family and friends, hoping they'd get a good deal too, but the code didn't work for them at all, which was just frustrating. To top it off, when I reached out to customer service for help, there was no response or resolution. Really disappointed and won't be ordering again.
Food is good "when you get it". Their delivery service really sucks. They lost or damaged 2 deliveries in 6 weeks.
We were loyal weekly customers for almost a year. While this was convenient, when the ingredients started to become subpar, we found ourselves having to purchase separate ingredients at the grocery store to replace poor quality items. We realized we were really paying a lot for a handful of, sometimes not fresh, ingredients. So therefore, we communicated/complained on several occasions. This did nothing to improve the quality of the meals. We kept pausing but now we will cancel. Never having received any response to our complaints, we've lost interest in this company who's products turned out to not be great.
If you like past due or damaged fruit and vegetables you will love hello fresh they base there deliverys on it.its by far the worst company on the web today
It's impossible to pause or cancel membership. They asked me money after I was asking for cancellation. I'm very disappointed
What a slammers!avoid!saying one thing and do other,don't order from them stilling money.i wasn't able to get recieve a box so the agent canceled the delivery but I still recieved it and had to give it away to my neighbour so as it wasn't my fault I was given a credit of £67.we agreed that I wiudo ve able to use it on my next delivery but instead they've charged me for my next box and changed their mind and get me the credit after using another couple of boxes.so as I stopped the delivery, they started to threatening me to send my account to debt collectors
Several days ago, I logged in and tried various promo codes to find the best deal. But I didnt commit so I was surprise today when I got a HelloFresh box. I tried to log into the account, but was asked to input a zip code to see if HelloFresh delivers in my area. Had I not just logged in a few days ago? So how was my account now closed? I quickly checked my bank account and saw that I was charged for the box. I am not sure how, because I never entered a credit card when I was trying out the promo codes. I was charged on the same credit card I had used years ago to pay for the service.
I called customer service to find out what was going on. How could I be charged if I had not entered a credit card and did not have an active account? The rep kept telling me that I had reactivated the account, had chosen my meals and an add-on. I was very frustrated but said that I was going to sign up anyways, so if she could please retroactively apply the promo code I wanted and get me access to the account. She kept saying she could not. I asked for her supervisor or someone who could help me, but I was given the same answer that no-one with HelloFresh could help me. I just gave up and asked to cancel the account and said that HelloFresh had lost me permanently as a customer.
I asked the rep to put me through to the 'review your experience' survey. She said OK but then promptly hung up on me. Giving her the benefit of the doubt, I called back and briefly gave a summary to the new rep and asked for the "review your experience" phone tree as I had been hung up on before. She said OK and then hung up on me. Wow. I am simply amazed at how much the company's customer service has degraded since my experience with them years ago. I am also deeply concerned about the security of my personal info since no-one knew anything.
This is not the same HelloFresh from years ago. Beware if you have any issues becasue you will be given the run around.
I signed up with very high hopes, and the only reason I did so was because of the kids' free meals offer. I selected my meals right away, and the kids' meals were nowhere to be seen, I contacted customer service by chat, and representatives keep telling me that they were there, when they were clearly not, so they weren't able to help me. I called this morning, and was told a very different story about how the kids' meal were in testing mode, and they weren't yet available! When I told the representative to cancel my membership, he put me on hold to "go check if kids' meals were ready" and by a miracle they were now! I told him to add it to my first box then, because it wasn't my fault they weren't available. He said it was too late to add it, even though it won't ship until 3 days, I asked if I was supposed to starve my kid...no solution was offered, I asked for my membership to be canceled, and money refunded, he said it was too late for that as well.
Not only is this a clear false advertisement, but the worst customer service and lack of empathy I've encountered in a while.
Cheating & Fooling New Customer
Last week I have seen their offer for new subscription for $21.96 for 4 meals in a week, but NO WHERE they have mentioned that the subscription will be doubled from 2nd week onwards. They have charged $45.46 for 2nd week. After checking with their call centre support, he said that they have added shipping, handling, packaging, etc? So why its not been cleared in their communication on 1st instance only, why kepy all hidden and cheating/fooling customers? Pathetic experience
Live chat is the only way to chat with this lot - they are rude and robotic. Save yourself the expense and time by NEVER signing up. If you are already a customer - PROBLEMS will happen and they simply do NOT give a toss and you will lose out.
Signed up May 4,2024, hello fresh picked 2 meals. I was not interested. Emptied the cart, looked at other meals did not find anything I was interested in. Several hours later I noticed 2 unauthorized charges on my debit card to HelloFresh. Cancelled subscription. Customer Service is awful!
Still attempting to obtain refund.
I recently have moved and have been declining hello fresh boxes for months. This week I apparently forgot to skip and when I called customer service they informed me I could not get a refund because it was already being prepared. I informed them I didn't pick any of the meals and it was being shipped to an address I no longer live at and they told me I could change the recipes and the address of the box but not receive a refund. This tells me no box has been shipped yet and you just want to keep my money. I am absurdly frustrated and will never be ordering from hello fresh again. I hope this helps others when making their decisions about subscription boxes!
They miss to add the protein ingredients, and aren't willing to refund the cost, just partially. It's a scam
Someone got ahold of my credit card information and has been charging food, total of1800.00 plus. I have contacted Hello Fresh and they keep telling me contact my bank. They either laugh at me or hang up. I had to cancel one card, and my new card gets charged. Beware if who you do business with.
I tried the Hello Fresh service but wasn't impressed. The food was ok but all the recipe cards were 'screwed up' in the box and I did not feel it represented good value for money so ultimately I cancelled my subscription and deleted the app. Months later I then had notification of an order going out to me so I immediately called them but they refused to cancel it, saying it was 8 hours after the cut off (but I knew nothing about it until after the cut off!). I disputed the payment with the bank whilst it was still pending and was advised to cancel my debit card, which I did, but the payment has now debited my account. I have advised Evri that I cannot accept delivery and raised another bank dispute. I also spoke with a manager at Hello Fresh who told me that if they didn't receive payment for this 'order' - which I did not place! - they would pass my details onto a debt collection agency. I will fight this all the way through to court if necessary but in the meantime please take note of the numerous negative reviews here and AVOID using this company!

Hello fresh sent me a package full of things I don't eat, and didn't pick. Now they won't return it. Thanks to hello fresh I'll never use another meal prep.
Be aware if you look at HelloFresh they consider your account to be activated and will send food regardless charging your credit card…. I had not used this service since 2019 was thinking about it / they arbitrarily sent an order for $82.99 to my old residents even though I never claimed to order anything. The new occupants called me to say there was a delivery not a good delivery just a delivery - it had since gone bad as I didn't pick up from my old home until 2 days later. The fact that my looking at an account and Hello Fresh automatically shipped goods is bull$#*!!
I am very unhappy with Hello fresh. I was doing an online review of a product I ordered last month & at the end there was a link with an offer for a discount on 6 meals at Hello fresh. I ordered from them once, a while back so I thought I'd look into it so I clicked the link to check out their meals. The next thing I knew I got an email notice of a Hellofresh charge on my PayPal! I'M SHOCKED. I NEVER submitted an order for any meals and I'm demanding a refund. I will NEVER clink on any offer from them I will tell everyone I know to steer clear of Hellofresh! Any company who uses this of tactic is DISGUSTING
After ordering their products we have not even had time to cook one of their meals and they are billing me again in the same month via a subscription. We don't have the space to store all this food that I didn't even order yet. It's just a money thing with these people. Do not get involved with this subscription.
Answer: I signed up and realised its a scam - your first order is only able to be placed 2 weeks away, meaning they get your money even if you use a coupon... and from other reviews they won't let you cancel. I just registered a voucher, saw the dates and tried to cancel... and can't - there is no "cancel" on their website
Answer: You will still have to pay for delivery and such because this company says those things cannot be covered by a gift card. Beware signing up, because they will subscribe you as soon as you enter credit card information. It is in their Terms and Conditions at the beginning of the process.
Answer: You're automatically on auto ship…any week you don't overtly cancel will get sent out and you'll get charged.
Answer: Nor really. They will want to give you a partial refund of the single ingredient you found to be of poor quality... and that's if you want to take the time to navigate the website to find out how to do it. Their website is totally designed to make customer service difficult.
