Walmart Its a small package. What a mistake, Don't you know what is going on. For years my Union always told us no to buy from Walmart. I guess we like saving a few cents.
So, I placed an order for an accent chair on July 2nd, and now is July 30th, y chair hasn't shipped. I called multiple times. Sent numerous email, and all I got were false dates of delivery that never happened. Many times was promised that there were not more delays, and yet, every time my order was placed on backorder. Today I contacted the customer service to cancel the order, to what she informed me that she is unable because the supplier already has the order to ship?! Really? The supplier had the order to ship a month ago, and it hasn't shipped. I told her that I want my order canceled no matter what and that I am not interested in waiting any longer. Now I have to wait for 72 hrs for the supplier to confirm my cancelation. This whole situation is very frustrating and I will never shop again through their website. I am completely disappointed with Hayneedle!
They blame the shipping company when all they would have to do is get a more accurate delivery date from the delivery company
Attitude seems to be 'we have your money, now you play by OUR rules"
Customer svc on the phone is VERY abrupt "my way or the highway"
I would NOT deal with them or recommend them again
In a nutshell, I had ordered couch cushions to be shipped to Hawaii and the order was canceled with no notification sent to me. Today I called to check on the status of my shipment and was informed of this. Very, very annoyed. I spoke to a customer rep today who is very nice and helpful and listen to my disappointment. He expedited it up the chain to see if it was possible to resend out to Hawaii. Evidently the problem was the shipping address was different from the billing address. Whaaaat? I believe that's quite common. Anyway I see an email now from Hayneedle stating my new order is being processed. I have requested that it be sent out priority mail but it looks like they won't do that even though it's holding up decorating my condo I plan to rent out.
We ordered 5 ceiling fans on sale. Only one was shipped and 4 put on backorder. Apparently Hayneedle were not authorized to put that item on sale. After promise after promise that the issue would be resolved "in the next 2 days" they now have stopped answering calls and emails. They are NOT and HONEST company. DO NOT SHOP WITH THEM!
I ordered an $80 item. Some how I received two of them. I went back and checked my order history and sure enough there were two separate orders for the same product, on the same day and within minutes of the first order. I checked my credit card and YEP, I was charged for two.
I contacted Wal-Mart first, be cause I originally ordered through them. However, they told me that I have to go through PlumStruck. They were nice enough, but would not pay for the return shipping. EVEN THOUGH IT WAS THEIR ERROR!
Purchased outdoor garden bench, I though, from Walmart. When order confirmation came back it was from some company named "PLUM STRUCK.COM" with a whole host of disclaimers from Walmart. The bench showed up with missing hardware, hardware that didn't fit and very poor assembly instructions. After I bought proper hardware I was able to assemble bench. I placed the bench outside in a covey adjacent to my garage. Couple days later a summer shower blew up and all the bench paint washed off and onto my drive way. I could not find no info in packing docs to contact PLUMB STRUCKas they had no phonev# listed and e-mail address was erroneous. This is SHAM company and WALMART is damaging their reputation by partnering with this sham.
My order arrived on time, but it does not fit because it is not the dimensions advertised in Amazon - so I am trying to return it... none of their websites work - what to do?
I never ordered anything from this company, but was charged $133.98 for a product that was delivered to MA (even though I don't live there, have never lived there, and don't know anyone from ther. I disputed the charge with my credit card company, who in turn disputed the charge with Hayneedle. Needless to say, they still claimed it was a valid transaction. Ultimately, I will litigate if I have any more problems with them. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!
Ordered binoculars for a Christmas gift in the middle of December. Was not advised that the product was on backorder prior to purchase which I found deceiving. Was told that the product would be in shortly after Christmas. Continued to follow up every few weeks (they never reached out to me once to provide an update on the backorder status)but was continuously told that the product was still on backorder. Wound up canceling the order IN MARCH when product was still not in. Merry Christmas-I will NEVER order from them again.
Ordered four directors chairs online from Wal-Mart with an estimated delivery date of March 2-4. Upon reviewing my order confirmation I noticed that the chairs were actually coming from Plumbstruck.com. Had never heard of them before so a couple days later I looked them up. Wow, read some very scary reviews. My immediate thought was "Oh man, my wife is going to kill me". Lessened learned here for me, read all the reviews not just the negative ones... So here's my review. The chairs arrived ten days earlier than expected, professionally packaged, absolutely no damage and all parts were included. Assembly was a piece of cake. Note, when mounting the foot rest, insert the fixed post in the hole and hold in back from the chair leg approx. 3/8 to 1/2 of an inch. Doing so makes it a lot easier to thread the screw on the other side. Chairs are well built, very comfortable, look great and an excellent valve for the price. The chairs are everything and more than the advertisement claims. I highly recommend this product and Plumbstruck. I'm very happy with this purchase but more importantly my wife is happy too!
Possibly the worst service I have ever had anywhere. Looooong hold times. Cancelled my order without a phone call to fix a minor issue they caused. I recommend not doing business with them!
My wife has ordered from Hayneedle a couple times and never had any problems/issues. Recently, Feb. 8,2018, I ordered a sewing table for her thru Hayneedle. The item arrived three days before it was due! Ok, this was a first for any product we have ever ordered from anyone. Great!
The item itself had sustained minor damage in no less than 10 areas due to packing punctures. Shipped through Fedex we were not surprised but were very disappointed. We have had this problem with Fedex deliveries, i. E., beat up packages.
However, the problem began with the manufacturer, South Shore Furniture. They did not securely package the item to help prevent damage in case of package puncturing.
Hayneedle customer service gets an A+ for handling our product problem. A more than 50% refund is being processed. We think this is very generous. The assembled item will stay here. Difficulty of returning a 144lb., box of MDF pieces was too much. We will ignore the minor damage.
The product from South Shore Furniture (see my review here) had missing parts, some vagueness in assembly instructions, cabinet drawers out of square and ill fitting in the cabinet structure, holes not drilled and so forth.
This is their issue NOT Hayneedle. If anything I encourage customers/readers to NOT buy South Shore products. One of their customer service reps basically "blew off" our attempt to help them with packaging feedback. We essentially got the middle finger over the phone. True.
We will order again but next time fully research the product manufacturer's rep before purchase.
Thank you so much for taking the time and sharing your experience Elon.
Product came damaged. Upon reading other reviews it seems they have a tendancy to send out damaged items and charge a large amount for return shipping or will not refund completely.
I bought 3 kitchen stools from them. All of which fell apart after 3 months... the screws completely fell out. They wouldn't take back the product or even offer a store credit. AWFUL! Buyer beware!
I was excited to place my first order with Hayneedle using a 10% new customer coupon code that was emailed to me on purchases over $50. I had a $146 item purchase and went to apply my code only to find out that the item I chose did not meet the $50 minimum? I then had to call customer service to find out this item was an "exclusion". The coupon did not state what those exclusions were. I was placed on hold for a lengthy period of time only to find out that in fact they would not be able to honor my coupon. She was pleasant and apologized for the "inconvenience" (which turned out to be about 45 min of my time) and I told her they really should list the exclusions before putting people through all of this waste of time. I asked if they value feedback like this and she connected me to a supervisor who absolutely could't care less about my concerns. She placed me on hold for another lengthy period of time also to come back and speak very condescendingly to me that if I would have simply clicked on the coupon, it would have listed the exclusions? They obviously don't care about customers or value their time. Sorry Hayneedle, you lost what could have been a great customer who would have spent a lot of money over the years, I will give my business to someone who cares.
Short version:
Placed an order hoping to get it in 2-3 weeks later, after 20+ emails and calls and 6+ weeks, our order was canceled since it was lost in transit.
Long version:
I wish we had researched Hayneedle before placing an order with them. We were re-directed through Amazon, so we thought that they were a reputable company. My recommendation to any friend would be to avoid doing business with this company at all costs. All of the poor reviews that we have read online have resonated with our experience. We ordered patio furniture from them due to cost, function and delivery date. It was ordered 3 weeks before a party and the estimated delivery date was 2 weeks, giving us a 1 week buffer. It's been 6 weeks and they can't even give us a status on our order (which was already charged to our card). The website proclaims 2 days shipping all over it. However, if you read reviews online then you'll see that every customer is complaining about the long shipment times and lack of customer service when trying to locate placed orders. Now, summer is half way over and we have no patio furniture for our new patio. It's so frustrating! We have called Hayneedle about 5 times and each time they claim that they will research it and get back to us. Of course, we are continuously calling back for a follow up in which they say that they don't have an answer for us. The most inept and frustrating customer service that I have worked with in memory! And shame on Amazon for promoting such a incompetent company!
Robin, ne need to reply with your form letter since I already reached out to you with no positive result.
The product was just as depicted. I love the wind chimes
Sending it to best friend states away to celebrate her 60th birthday. Its beautiful and shipped so quickly.
Thank you so much for the positive review. The wind chimes have been a popular choice for many of our customers. We are delighted that you were able to find just the perfect ones to "ring" in your friends new year! Thanks again for shopping with us and for sharing your wonderful experience.
Terrible! Ordered bunk beds and trundle. First bed shipped to us and multiple pieces were cracked and damaged, totally unusable. Was a nightmare to deal with customer service and then had to miss work so that the freight company could pick up the entire order (that I had to repackage for them) and then miss again to accept delivery on the new bed. The new bed was fine except for a cracked guardrail. Again dealt with rude and slow customer service trying to get a replacement guardrail. They refuse to replace just the one piece and say I must send back the guardrail AND everything else that was in the box with it. This means I'd have to disassemble the entire perfectly good bed to replace the one guardrail. Ridiculous. I am not doing that. I guess the next step is to file a BBB complaint. Don't shop here - no hassle guarantee is a joke.
Answer: We are sorry to hear this, Margie. If you have an order number (it may be on the box as a reference number) or the tracking number, we would be able to take a look and see how we can assist you with this umbrella. Thank you for reaching out to us.
Answer: My mom just got a similar email - guessing that it is a scam - shes going to contact paypal
Answer: Every time I ordered these glasses, they came in a well-padded with good bubble-wrap box. The box itself was very strong, too.
