BEWARE! Do not get pulled in by the the "you have 10 minutes to secure this price" bs! Ended up paying more for the "special deal" WITH NO PARKING INCLUDED, than going with regular hotel reservations, including the parking. Then at the end before you even get a price, they zap you with a non-refundable clause. NOPE, NATTA, NEVER AGAIN. These types of businesses give great travel services a bad name. DONT DO IT!
Booked an Ibis hotel in Malaga. Thought I was on Ibis's site but somehow made a mistake and eneded up on Guest Reservations. Through deceptive practices, they marked up the cost of the room by 91.82%. Total scam artists. Report to Better Bureau Business Bureau in the US, Google Advertising, and your local bank. Challenge all charges and you can win. It will take work, but they always loose with the banks because they recognize that they are scam artists. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Guest Reservations stole $1750 from my credit card for a room that was $400 in the online add. When I clicked on tie room to find out more, my credit card was slammed $1750 within 2 seconds. I finally found the US number even though I am in Australia. I was informed that I could cancel and loose all of the money or keep the booking! Now I am stuck with a booking for 2 apartments that sleep 8!
NoThere is no way to modify a reservation with them they did not want to help at all. The only thing they kept repeting is something written on a piece of paper. Incompetent all of them. There was no way to talk to a supervisor either. Do not book with them. There is no policy for modification and they couldn't care less.
Do NOT book your reservation with this site! Unfortunately it came up first in my Google search for the hotel and I was fooled by it. There are hidden fees and you will not be told what exactly you are paying for. When I asked, I was hung up on. I booked two rooms and the hotel has no record of the second room. All attempts to speak to the site's customer service have not helped. They claim to be in contact with the hotel, but the hotel cannot confirm what they tell you. Use a more reputable site...
They are scammers - tell you the nightly rate as the full rate for 2 or 3 day stays, eg you think you are paying $300 then you receive your confirmation you have actually paid $650 - much higher than you thought you were paying - then they are impossible to contact either by phone or email to even query it let alone get a refund/correction. Hotel does get booking but wont help as not booked directly with them. All numbers disconnected, mail daemon errors for email addresses. DO NOT USE - much better booking sites available that are far more reliable.
DON'T Use this website! It's a total scam. Read through the BBB ratings not the ones here that are clearly created by the company. https://www.bbb.org/us/de/wilmington/profile/travel-agency/guestreservationscom-*******4332/customer-reviews
This is a SCAM of Texas size. DON'T USE
I reserved room for two nights that was suppose to cost $387 they charged me $109 for tax recovery and service fee what ever that means. I will take it with Texas authorities soon.
I made a reservation through their website and they charged me for a service of 50 euros when the room cost 130 euros almost 40%. On the hotel website as well as in the booking there was only a cost of city tax of 2 euros per night. I feel robbed. I certainly did not order from them again and I also suggest you do not order from this site
They use deceptive business practices and undisclosed fees when attempting to make a hotel reservation. Don't know how the owners are not in jail. Hotel told me the room rate was $126. Guest Reservations.com charged me $205, incl $50 in undisclosed fees.
I was in a rush and thought I was on the hotel website with their service charge I paid an extra $20 than if I would have booked directly on the hotel website
When you put the name of a hotel into Google, this site often comes up top. It tends to look like the hotel site itself. But it is not; it is a commercial booking site. If you use it, you will find that you are charged an extra booking fee, which is often substantial. Don't use it!
Shocking site amends dates n has awful cancellation policy. Takes your money n then doesn't want to know …. Don't use!
They start their scam by giving the site visitor the impression that you are booking with the hotel website, they do this by including the hotel name within the domain, for example: guestreservations.marriott.com. Then they show you a rate lower than other legit booking sites. Then they never reveal the full charges including taxes before charging the card. They will only show the room charge. They never tell you that your booking is none refundable. All of this critical information is hidden, then once you book, booom! They hit you with 55% fees. So a booking for $400 will end up costing you $220 more in fees. When you call them and tell them there is an error, the agent (with a barking dog noise in the background) tells you, "sorry everything was disclosed to you and the fee is none refundable."
When I called the hotel, they said the booking shows that it was booked thru Agoda.com! I am sure agoda does not know about how this company is misleading their clients. Total fraud!. Stay away and check the web domain before booking, and if you don't see the full charges on the statement BEFORE giving them your card details, DO NOT complete the transaction.
They show you one cancellation date and then when you cancel they show another one which makes it too late to get a full refund. The hotel didn't even see a cancellation on the computer, so your information is totally in the hands of these scammers. I was horrified when a foreigner answered the phone with roosters crowing in background. Please don't use this site, call the hotel. They inflate prices anyway. The original price was $177. I knew there would be fees but this not even at checkout yet, so I can imagine what my checkout bill would have been.
This site will list one price and then pretend it's the total and then charge you 40-50% in service fees that they hide in light, barely visible text. They play Google and they're gonna play you. Don't book or use guest reservations. They are a scam. Do your research and don't book with them.
Hi Tom.
I am afraid that you are a fraud because you are not associated with the hotel like your website name indicates.
Also in Indonesia it is a punishable violation to lie about tax recovery charges and other taxes - trying to blame an extra 60+ % on taxes when in fact they are only = 10%
