So when my order got here, the delivery guy couldn't find my place so he just asked the nearest person if they were me. The person said yes and ended up stealing my food.
I waited 2 hours for my order and I received a notification that my order I was delivered. NO FOOD CAME! I called the restaurant and they informed me that the driver came and picked up 3 orders of BBQ which came up to 86.00. I called the driver and she would not answer my call (Grub hub company tried to contact her too and no answer).

For the third time, and the last two orders in a row a driver has put my order down as delivered and has failed to show up at all. When we call customer service they call the driver, they say they tried to deliver but couldn't. We have been watching and waiting for them there has been no call and no text from the driver. And they report it as delivered which is a lie. So essentially they keep our food or money gets refunded and we have to start all over again and re-order. GrubHub does nothing to make the driver return with the food they just make some lame apology and say they're going to issue a credit for your inconvenience to use on a future order which we never seem to get And they report it as delivered which is a lie. I ordered from grubhub because I haven't been able to grocery shop being a stay at home mom of 3. Babysitters are nonexistent right now for me because of COVID. So I ordered my children some Wendy's for dinner at 5:23pm. I kept getting messages from grubhub that my order was on it's way on it's way and then after 7:30pm I get a message saying we cancelled your order. WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO FEED MY CHILDREN NOW? So I decided to try DoorDash and my order is already on the way within 20 minutes! GRUBHUB GET IT TOGETHER and your customer service reps are rude and unsentimental to your customers needs
Driver text me multiple times and whined about her life out of the blue. Kept texting that its taking a long time. Also told me "So much for making a living" Then I get an email from Grub Hub that my order was unexpectedly canceled. I text the driver and asked if she canceled my order and she did not text back. Oddly the food was from a local reputable business in Portland called Portland Pie. I did not hear back from driver so I ordered it from Portland Pie as they delivered and it will be here in 1/2 hour and it was much cheaper than Grub Slug.

DO NOT GO ON THIS SITE TO ORDER! GO TO DOORDASH! This site took my money 2 TIMES! Then they gave us 9! I SAID 9! I called exactly 19 times they didn't answer then I looked up the actual number and they never picked up! I called popeyes 3 times they said they NEVER got my order I CALLED EVERY POPEYES IN MY CITY! Overall they charged my 34.00 for a sandwich and some chicken I waited 2 hours for them to come and watched the driver drive in circles missing my house exactly 4 times! AGAIN! DONT GO HERE!
I ordered food from it, the follow my order map showed me the driver driving around Boston, before crossing the bridge to Cambridge and my boyfriend waited for this guy for more than 40minutes at the hotel door and the guy never made it with the dood.
I've contacted the customer support and they just said the driver had been there but that is a lie. Never did the driver tried to contact me - they had my phone number.
I did not accepted a voucher - as I cannot trust a company that lies so bluntly to my face not do I want to male business with them again. So after I said no they Told me to wait for a minute and never got back to me to solve this problem. So I was scammed on roughly 48USD.
I'm an assistant manager at a restaurant and we have issues with grubhub several times a week. Drivers are either arriving way too early or way too late. Their drivers generally have a poor attitude. We also had an incident where a driver stole food from us. She arrived to pick up the order then canceled it shortly after so we called her and told her she needs to return the food and she claimed that grubhub told her to give it to a homeless person. We called grubhub and told them not to have that driver return to our location anymore well... just a couple of weeks later she arrives to pick an order up and the owner told her she's not welcome here and to leave immediately. She refused so we ended up getting the police involved and grubhub DID NOT want to address the situation so we ended filing a police report and now the driver is banned from the premises. Since grubhub didn't address the problem and no consequence was given to the thieving driver I guess grubhub doesn't mind having thieves work them.
Wanting to do something nice for our large family of 9 we ordered dinner on Grub Hub for the first time. Due to some kind of malfunction in the App the address changed after I completed the order and our expensive order ($$$) was heading to the wrong address. The contact information for the driver was wrong and I was unable to reach her. I contacted GrubHub. This was all done immediately after our order was placed. The first Customer Service Rep told me he couldn't reach the driver either but assured me that the order would be redirected to our home. Immediately after that conversation the driver marked our order as delivered. To the incorrect address which was a closed business. I called GrubHub back and the new Customer Service Rep told me that they would refund my money but lectured me about not verifying the address (I did) and told me to be thankful for their courtesy. They expect me to be grateful that their app produced an incorrect address that was not in my account and grateful they refunded my money for food and service we did not recieve?! I am absolutely not grateful and will not use this service again.
These clowns couldn't hit their $#*! with both hands if they fell on it. I have had consistent issues with them in the past, but today was unbelievable. I placed an order at 3:45 from a Popeye's restaurant about 5 minutes away. My original delivery time was to be 40 minutes later. Over 2 hours later, I got a text my order was being cancelled. I contacted their "alleged" customer service and got a gentleman who could barely speak English and whose accent was so thick I could hardly understand him. And why, you may ask, was my order cancelled? I was told they couldn't find a driver! What!? I asked the rep, "Isn't that you business?! Delivery drivers?!
These clowns are consistently horrible in every aspect of customer service and satisfaction. I have only one word of advice... POSTMATES!

I ordered two sandwiches and got a chicken dinner with mashed potatoes and vegetables. I did get a refund but never got the food I wanted.
You have to set up an acct. They want way too much personal info. It took forever to just order a sandwich. I actually had to call them on the phone. Not worth the time. Stick with the other delivery businesses.
Every time Ive used them I've been screwed, Which was only twice, First, order was totally wrong when I received it and I know they don't check them when they pick them up, but there should be some kind of assurance of a right orders, Second, the place I ordered from closed when they got there and I received a call from GrubHub saying I will be receiving a refund within 5 to 10 business days, That was the 26th of March and still no refund, even after multiple emails, the last email I asked if they would at least just tell me I'm not getting the refund, no response,
It's absolutely horrible I hate grubhub because literally it was my first time ordering from their and I literally got no food nothing not even a single thing I'm literally livid that made me so mad I'm very very disappointed. I ordered my first order for Grub Hub in Allentown/ over $100 in sushi. My driver was to call upon delivery, did not and said it was delivered. His name was Jonathan, when the restaurant tried to reach him, he wouldn't answer his phone! Pictured below be careful using these apps.
With Grubhub, after 2 hours, with a simple order from KFC not even a mile from where I live, nothing. Order cancelled. I did the same exact order through Doordash, and the food was at my door within 15 minutes. Grubhub can go pound it. Doordash for me for now on. Now I see why there are nothing but 1 star reviews here. Grubhub sucks. Go elsewhere.
Preordered my lunch (around 8:30) to be delivered at 12:00 pm. Said order was confirmed and was ready to be picked up (which it was according to restaurant). 12:00 came, no food. Tracking the driver, they were going ALL OVER the place but never to the restaurant that I ordered from. Then I finally message the driver from the app and they replied with "sorry mybapp isnt letting me or anyone see any orders" but yet when I spoke with the restaurant they said ALL of their grubhub orders have been picked up EXCEPT mine. Fast forward I call to request a different driver, they say they cant do that. Needless to say my lunch was over at this point and I still had no food and when I asked for a refund the lady with customer service had an attitude. I'll stick with doordash from now on. They are always on time and never any hassle. This was my 2and bad experience with Grubhub but I let the first one slide. Never again.
I could write an entire book about why you should not give your money to this business... yet. If they get their $#*! together... potentially reconsider. If this post is current, do not... Grubhub does not communicate with the restaurant nor the customer to ensure the food arrives let alone what happens if it does not.
Picture this: You're at a restaurant ordering. You order burgers for your entire family. The waitress takes orders and responds with "Okay I'll get that right in for you" and then never returns for hours to let you know that they in fact didn't have hamburger meat. Picture worse: After not informing you... a friend offers to go out of their way to make sure you got your food because by now it was late and your family has not had dinner and they know how much it meant to you because they took your call 3 times. (The friend is Blu Sushi which is who the order was with). The order my family never received so we made Macaroni family size at 10pm. Grubhub responds with a "we have no drivers available at this time" - (even when Blu had co formed our sushi was waiting for a pickup and would stay later than when they were open just to wait for the grubhub driver. SHOUTOUT TO BLU. Blu even asked where I lived to see if it was close enough for them to PERSONALLY DELIVER IT to me.
At this time when money is tough... please reconsider where you are really putting it. What if I was a single mom/dad trying to feed my kids for the night and was never notified my food wasn't on the way? Unacceptable. There are many other apps like

I wish there was a lower star. If you are looking to wait for hours, be infuriated and then told sorry but not sorry then this is your delivery service. They canceled on my 7 times out of 10 after waiting for hours. Terrible customer service. Terrible business overall. Yelp needs to remove this as a preferred vender.
