Tried to order and at the very end got an "unexpected error" error. No details. Called customer service. They gave me the run around then they said their security team would have to fix my account. No ETA. A week later no resolution. They are great at taking my money for a gift card but I can't use it. Seems on the edge of fraudulent.
I am writing this review after several experieces with Grubhub. They have about a 50% hit rate. My most recent experience involved ordering through Yelp and their partner, Grubhub. Funds deducted from account with no confirmed order. Chatted with Grubhub, and they only offer 2-3 day dispute resolution. It's just a monument PIA. Just use them for the menu, then call the restaurant directly and order. 5 years and they are still not ready for primetime. Save yourself the stress...
I ordered food two days prior to a business and scheduled delivery. I decided to try a $10 offer for new customers. First of all, it would not accept the email link requiring me to contact customer service who gave me a code. I went to use the code and it didn't work requiring me to contact customer service again. I was told I would see the $10 credit on my bank card within a few days. It took almost an hour to resolve all of this.
Even worse, the day of my meeting, Less than one hour before the food was to be delivered I receive a notice that the order was cancelled and they would not be able to deliver. ONE hour! Too late to order food online and have it delivered.
Twice this month I have ordered food and have been VERY specific with delivery instructions. As we are a business, I ask them to leave the food at the front door, knock, and text me. When I receive the text that the order should be coming soon, I always go stand by the door to wait. Twice now, I have waited about 30 minutes after they say it's on its way, and then it never arrives. The first time was on July 17th. They said they would send me a refund, which does not make me happy because I had to order elsewhere and wait, but at least I thought I would get my money back. As of July 30th, I still have not received my refund for that order. Today, the same thing happened. I waited for 30 minutes, nobody ever showed up, but when I checked the "Track my order" it claims it was delivered. Now I am going to be waiting for two refunds which will probably never come either. This is such a scam. At least with DoorDash, they tell me who my driver is, and provide a phone number to text the driver or communicate, and my food always shows up. I have even had drivers take a picture of my food at the door to prove it made it. Grubhub, if you are reading this, YOU CAN DO BETTER, and I would like my two refunds please.
We've made several orders from restaurants, the order doesn't go through and just keeps cycling with confirming order. Numerous conversations with customer service personnel was insulting, belittling and a total nightmare.
They were totally horrible. No attempts were made to rectify the situation. I will not be attempting to use their delivery service again. The suck and should be shut down.
We have had about 12 orders from GrubHub which we had no problem with. We gave our address and the people delivered the food. Within the last five days we placed two orders with GrubHub. Both orders were not delivered to us. However, GrubHub reported them as delivered by the drivers. When I contacted GrubHub after a certain amount of discussion, they told me it was my fault because the driver tried to contact me. I was busy with things in my house which is the reason we ordered the food. What bothers me, is that I had several orders that were delivered just fine without any communication other than placing the order. GrubHub offered only a 25% concession to the money I had spent which is entirely unsatisfactory
You pay delivery fees, extra fees and tip even if they screw up. Which they do. Both times I ordered from them. They gave me a wait time of 50 min max, the first time and took 1hr and 50min to deliver our food. Never ever again!
WORST DELIVERY FOOD SERVICE EVER! Do not waste your time. Have a company lunch account through these clowns order for the first time for a lunch delivery: ordered at 10.30am for delivery at 12.30pm received text to say they were going to be late 1.00/1.30pm called take restaurant - they were waiting for the driver would be there soon - speak to supervisor at grub hub who apologized, issued refund, said they would comp my meal and it would be there soon. 2pm received text stating the order was cancelled. Spoke to the supervisor against she said she would fix it and send food to evening instead - delivery was supposed to be 6pm they called to confirm and then I get text it going to be late! Surprise surprise 6.30 to 6.40pm - then text at 7pm cancelled called grub hub heard the same crap as before - if you're hungry you will stay hungry with these clowns!
Grub Hub sends out promo codes that don't work and customer service is totally useless saying unless you take a screen shot of the offer they will not apply it to the account. Also found out that the prices on the Grub Hub app is higher than the same restaurants onsite menu. Why bother with Grub Hub?
VERY DISAPPOINTED WILL NOT ORDER FROM THEM EVER AGAIN. I ORDERED FOOD AND ITEMS WERE MISSING. THEY WOULD NOT SEND ME THE CORRECT ORDER AND WERE GOING TO CREDIT ME FOR JELLY AND CREAM CHEESE I SPENT 16.00 DOLLARS FOR AN INCOMPLETE ORDER AND THEY WILL CREDIT ME 3.00... I WORK 12 HOUR SHIFTS AND I AM HUNGRY. THEY DO NOT CARE! NEVER AGAIN AND I WILL DISPUTE THE CHARGE TO MY CARD! THEY SUCK
My wife used her card to order food for us a few days before vacation. While we were on vacation she received fraud alert where multiple grub hub locations were charging her card on the same day. These locations were from NY to Kansas to Illinois. All in the same day. Beware of the Greedy Grub Hub.
My order was canceled 15 minutes after I ordered mind you it was 9 o'clock at night then you tell me you're not going to refund my money back to my card for 3 to 5 days unacceptable so I called doordash and got my food deliver with no problem that's where I'll go from now on. You guys need to get your customer service together badly. Never again!

My food was an hour late. Grub hub would NOT refund me my moment. My food was cold. The delivery driver went in opposite directions multiple times. I tried to call the delivery driver 3 times and texted twice. Grub hub offered a 20% off coupon on my next purchase. I will NEVER use Grubhub again and in fact would never recommend it to anyone! DOOR DASH is way better and the service is way nicer
Ordered Chinese food through them and they showed it delivered to us. It never arrived! We tried contacting the driver... no response! Contacted Door Dash and they couldn't reach the driver either. I guess the driver got a free meal on us! Don't use them
We ordered from Kobe. We noticed as soon as our driver pulled off, that we were missing two entrees. I called Kobe and they actually had already called the driver to let them know that they forgot a bag. I was informed that they would get another driver enroute to deliver our order. After nearly 90 minutes of waiting, I called Kobe back. They said they remade our food, contacted grub hub and grub hub and not assigned a driver to our order yet. I then called Grub Hub, spoke to a very apathetic male, he pretty much told me there's nothing he can do. I'm beyond frustrated with this company. My spouse and I are both Covid positive and unable to leave our residence to get food. The fact that over 2 hours have passed by and they couldn't even give a courtesy call, is just unacceptable. Don't waste your time using this service, they proved how much customers do not mean to them.
I have never in my life have someone refuse to deliver my food. THIS man refused to take the elevators. I explained to the guy that everyone is required to wear masks around the building and especially in the elevators but he did not care. If he was so scared of the elevators he should've taken the stairs. I didn't even know he wasn't going to deliver my food until I had called him when he said "can I help you". This man should not be delivering food. I called customer service who just had apologies, when I asked what was going to happen to this guy the phone got really quiet. They do not care about quality service just about your Stay far away from this app. My money is going to be spent on Grubhub or Postmates from now on. This is just about the worst service I've had.
My food was never delivered. Grubhub cancelled the order citing that something went wrong with the delivery of the order. I will never use Grubhub again.
So they just cancel your order without any information. I dont know if it was a payment issue, a driver issue, a restaurant issue! Totally frustrated!
