Stadium used to be a place we would frequent because of its happy hour and the fact that most places in the area closed down. About a month ago we ordered nachos the same way we have been ordering for years. After about 45 minutes of waiting for our food the nachos came out burnt and the chicken looked like someone chewed it up and placed it on our nachos. The waiter never checked on us and I had to ask three people to come to the table. 30 minutes later someone came by and said they would fix it. Another 40 minutes went by and they had the nerve to bring out the same exact nachos that we returned! I cannot believe that someone would give two children food that was brought back and bring it out again especially during Covid! We could have gotten really sick. We left and went to Buffalo Wild Wings to eat after sitting in the heat at Stadium with no food. Waiter was rude and never came to our table. My kids wanted to try Stadium nachos again even after our experience last time and knowing they charge $20 for nachos. When we arrived the manager told me that even though they messed up our food and service was horrible that the owner said we are not welcome back ever again! Can you believe that! To the owner, grow a backbone and talk to your customers when you are there when they ask for you and get over yourself. Your food is not good. Location is the only plus for you. Customer service is always number one. Don't forget that. My kids learned a good lesson that day on how to not treat guests.
We ordered from a local restaurant though GrubHub noticing the price hike of $1 per dish. The initial time provided was 11:40 (order was placed around 10:45) - this went from 11:40 to 12:15 to 12:59. I chatted via the box and requested them to cancel the order and went and picked it up myself. We had guests and hungry kids waiting for their food. The company offered to compensate me through the NEXT order - as if I would ever use their service again. The meal was delayed because GrubHub could not find a driver. If their staffing and process are so flawed - they deserve to be run out of business. Useless promises made about "caring for the customer"... NOT!
I would give them minus 5 stars if I could
Picked up my order and delivered it an hour later. Driver waited at another restaurant to pick up another order while my food got cold. Food was cold and inedible. Delivered 40 minutes later than end of the promised delivery window. Will never use these people again. San Francisco experience, just horrible.
This will be the second time I have ordered food from grubhub. They charged my bank account but never showed up with my food. I will NOT be using this service again! On top of immediately debating my account for my delivery they told me I now have to wait 5 days for a refund. That isn't right! BAD BUISNESS
I have repeatedly had overwhelmingly awful experiences with Grubhub. The drivers pick up multiple orders at once so my wait time becomes almost 2 hours long, my food is always cold and nasty, and the drivers are incredibly unprofessional. Their customer service operates off one brain cell. I will only ever use Doordarsh now.
They have a worker named Quentin who never brought my order... he is stealing food and eating it. Dont order from this site?! They dont refund entire amount. They still charge me 2 dollars and for what1!
GRUBHUB has Pizza Mia in Billerica MA erroneously listed on their platform.
WE HAVE NO AFFILIATION WITH GRUBHUB.
https://www.pizzamiabillerica.com/fullmenu.html
They are listing wrong prices, a completely incorrect menu, wrong hours and it's causing confusion, loss of customers besides very angry people blaming us for this.
We've call them, emailed them, reached out over social media to no avail.
If you use Grubhub, please message them, put a review, anything that could help us fix this.
All we want is for them to take us off their platform!
Please help...
I hate Grubhub.
1. They have restaurants listed on their site, even if those restaurants don't use 3rd party delivery services. So you'll order your food, and then find out 45 minutes later that your order is canceled.
2. For restaurants that do take 3rd party orders, Grubhub will often cancel your order and give no reason. You can call the restaurant and they'll tell you that they never received the order, then confirm that it happens OFTEN with Grubhub.
I have ordered from Grubhub at least 10 times, and they have failed at least 5 of those times. They're downright terrible.
I was a driver for Grubhub, I done multiple deliveries that I was never paid for. And then they deactivated my account. I was told the only way they help with driver payment issue is to send an email that they don't answer for 5-7 days. If they answer at all. The 1 or 2 times they answered back no one knew anything and they can't help me. GrubHub suck and their customer service is horrible. They don't pay their drivers ( in my case). And not willing to try to fix the problem. DO NOT USE GRUBHUB! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
I've ordered from this app 3 times. All three times my orders were canceled due to A) the restaurant doesn't have what I choose on the menu from the website ( how?) Second time, I ordered around 1130am for lunch. Cancelled order cause they open at 12. They take the order but refunds are not available until 3-5 business days. Literally HATE THIS APP definitely deleted it
I was in Boise, ID and placed an order for delivery thru GrubHub. The restaurant said it would be 40-50min, and after 15 min I got a call from the driver, he said he was at the restaurant and the food wouldn't be ready for 40 min and asked if he could cancel. I said NO, they had told us it would be that long, and I wanted my food. He yelled that he didn't want to wait, I said that I was not cancelling could he get another driver, and he said yes. 5 min later I then got a message from GrubHub syaing that due to an issue the order was cancelled. I called the restaurant, they said he had yelled at them too, and said he'd come back and left. The food was still being cooked. I then called GrubHub, and they said he'd told them that the restaurant was closed and cancelled the order. I told them that I'd spoke w/the restaurant, told them the lies he gave to me and to them (and to GrubHub) and that my food was still there, I wanted it, and needed another driver to pick it up. They said since it was cancelled they couldn't do that. So, they put $25 on my account to reorder... but when I went to the website to order again (after telling the restaurant what happened), at that time GrubHub was no longer delivering at that time for them. So I had to use another pickup service to get my order, and didn't get to use the $ they gave me. The phone service was as bad as the driver... and in the future if I try to place an order and see it is thru GrubHub I'll go somewhere else.
Not worth it. Takes forever to even get a driver to pick up your damn food, even with a 10 dollar tip. Either 30 minutes or 2 hours late, with some in-betweens. Just use doordash.
The driver came and WOULDN'T GIVE ME MY FOOD because I only tipped 20%. He held his food in his hand, and then he YELLED at me for not tipping him more. As a teacher trying to get back into the swing of things, this is not what any of us need. Grub hub is the WORST!
I am reviewing Grubhub as a restaurant manager, not just a customer. I also spent 6 months doing delivery for food service apps, so I know how hard (not hard) it is.
Many people don't realize Grubhub (and Postmates) work differently from Ubereats, Doordash, Caviar, etc. They partner with some restaurants, but if a restaurant is not partnered with them, a driver will physically go to the store, wait in line if necessary, and place the order.
This means much longer wait times for the customer. If the wait time is long a driver often gives up after a few minutes and cancels the order.
If the menu for a restaurant is incorrect on Grubhub's website, there is no way for us to fix it without signing up for their service. There is also no easy way for us to give feedback for drivers.
The drivers are consistently rude to us, the worst of any delivery service by far. They walk into the restaurant, don't say a word, and shove their phones in our face. I've had drivers yell at me and my employees because we wouldn't use their personal cell phones to talk to customers about the menu being incorrect- this is part of their job, but also I would never use someone else's cell phone (gross) and during Covid it's especially dangerous.
The drivers often place orders incorrectly, leading to unsatisfied customers calling my restaurant, and I then have to explain how Grubhub works to them.
They aren't offering a quality service so much as they are trying to coerce restaurants to sign up for their service. All of these issues create a bad experience for the restaurant and the customer. I have fielded so many phone calls from angry customers who don't realize how Grubhub actually works.
Finally, While Ubereats, Doordash, and Caviar have all made it easier for customers to tip the people preparing their food, their is no way on Grubhub to do that. While many people don't tip, at least these apps allow it.
In a time when my staff is under more stress from the pandemic and making less money than usual, this is especially inconsiderate. As I mentioned above, I have worked as a food delivery person, and I can tell you I work a lot harder as the person preparing the food. It's insulting you can tip the grubhub driver but not the restaurant.
I order. Then i get an email that says they sent the order to the restaurant. Then the email says they're preparing the food. Then, finally, the food is on the way. And I wait. And wait. And wait. I call the restaurant - they never got the order. I call Grubhub and they have no answers for this. They never called. (they may have called a restaurat which has been closed for YEARS - but why would they say it's being prepared? That it's on the way? This company is bull$#*!. Disaster. Sucks. NEVER AGAIN!
Tried to order and GH site stated the transaction didn't go through. GH sent to another account that was compromised and someone else used it. Again, GH said original order did NOT go through. Do not use Grubhub.
I ordered lunch for a disabled person - someone with autism. The lunch order arrived incomplete - something that would easily set an autistic person off. Worse off they will not eat something incomplete. I called Grubhub to report this as all I wanted was the missing item replaced. They could not comply. They instead refunded me $2 for an incomplete meal that I will need to throw out - nothing else would be done. As I was now out $38 and no lunch - I informed the phone operator I would be leaving a bad review. They proceeded to remove my ability to leave an order review. This company is outrageous in their practice - and I will report this to as many places as I can.
Seamless and GrubHub appear to be the same thing, at the back end. Their order interface, processing, and customer service are the same.
I have ordered food delivery through Seamless/GrubHub successfully before, in amounts in excess of $100. Never had any problem with order processing or delivery. This time I tried to order 3 days of food for 2x people, so the total amount of the order was higher ($200+).
On this occasion, Seamless/GrubHub charged my card, then immediately refunded, flagged the whole thing as fraudulent, and blocked my account. (This is what happened behind the scenes; the web site itself explained none of this, offered a vacuous/unhelpful "please try again later" error message, and offered no instructions and no customer service contact information.)
Since my account was flagged as fraudulent and blocked, subsequent attempts to order via both Seamless and Grubhub web sites, and charge to different cards, were handled identically (the amount charged to my card, immediately refunded, order did not go through, I was presented with a vacuous/unhelpful error message).
In speaking with Seamless/GrubHub customer service, their initial explanation was that my initial order was over $100, but they immediately contradicted their own implication (denying that there was any maximum order amount and that this was in any way the cause of the fraud assumption on their part). And why charge the card in the first place, if fraud is suspected? All rather strange.
In the end, they explained that it would take 48+ hours to clear my account so that I could use their service again. Though they denied it, it is my suspicion is that if I order over $100 (*including* all tax, fees, etc... i. e. If the total gross charge to the credit card exceeds $100), the who circus will be repeated.
Seems like delivery via Seamless/Grubhub can be rather fraught. It appears there are undocumented restrictions that a legitimate user can violate rather trivially. The result is that they can end up simply refusing service to anyone, even repeat customers, for reasons that seem to confuse even their own customer service people, and which require days of lead time to rectify.
I have had severe delivery problems with DoorDash (they simply report as having delivered without actually delivering, and then I have to ask the merchant for a refund, get blown off, dispute credit card charges, etc), so my options for delivery seem to have narrowed basically to none.
From now on, I will be ordering via the restaurant's own app or phone number, and picking up in person.
I ordered from Dusties in Matteson who has a contract with Grub hub. My ham hocks was missing my food was placed on the porch doing Covid 19. Dusties said they have had many problems with Grub hub and unfornately they cant do anything because its a contract. I CANNOT!
I ordered food on Grub Hub to pick up. When I went to pick up, restuarant was closed. This was Sunday, three days ago. I still can't get a hold of Grub Hub or the restaurant, Taqueria Moroleon. I am still out over $33. This is so frustrating and such a rip off. I do not recommend at all! Terrible service. Try to help a restaurant out and order food from them and get ripped off. Shame on Grub Hub and Taqueria Moroleon on 9th street in Springfield, IL.
Answer: I travel for a living and have experienced the lousy service that is Grub Hub. From Philadelphia PA to Shreveport LA and multiple other cities THIS SERVICE SUCKS. There's nothing good to say about it.
Answer: Both. But he is not alone, unfortunately. He only got exposed. Millions others are working in politically intolerant places. We have to change that.
Answer: Yes, it is normal. Original delivery times are almost never met. No drivers, Lost Drivers, Poorly trained or untrained drivers.
Answer: LOL... no kidding right! How can places take 2 hours to get food to you and not necessarily at a peak time. Good luck! Hope you were able to cancel it, but wonder if it showed up in the mean time. For this reason I no longer use a card but pay cash when I get the food. Hope you've managed to eat something by now.
Answer: Never Folks keep using them Until they began to see decline in sales, they will not change
Answer: Answer: Grub Hub does suck big time. No real answer. If you like cold food, delivered late and an "oh well" customer service attitude, Grub Hub is the company you should use.
Answer: They just don't care. Company motto must be "customer comes last". They simply trying to salvage whatever market share they can before they get bought out by a superior service that actually cares about customers.
Answer: Nothing. By this inaction I would say to quit using this bad business. Go with UberEats or maybe try getting your own food.
Answer: This can be expected with a bad company such as Grub Hub. CEO gets his Chub Hub off screwing customers.
Answer: It all starts at the top. Worst management, worst operational model, worst operational supervision, worst driver compensation.
