I do luv to use Groupon. The only reason I chose 3 stars is because there is no way to save things I would like to buy, and every time you click on a product to check it out, when you go back they start you back at the top of list of what you have already veiwed not where you where. And their lists are long. Its easier to just close site then trying to find where I actually was. And that sucks because Groupon has awsome deals and their own goods they sell are just such great prices.
I have tried to get help from customer service and have been unable to resolve my complaint. I will not purchase any more Groupon deals because they no longer sttand behind their guarantee that you will not lose the original purchase price. The last product I bought was not as advertised and not worth the time and expense to return it. I am through with Groupon.
I purchased a groupon and when I arrived at the vendor I discovered that it was cheaper to purchase the service ($12) than what I paid for the groupon ($21). So I went ahead and paid for the service out of pocket and contacted groupon to get a refund assuming they would be happy to issue it since the groupon was basically a rip off - they refused! I was astounded! They suggested I give it to someone "worthy" (yes he actually used that word) as a gift. Hmmm... who is worthy of a rip off groupon? I want everyone to know that groupon does not value their customers or make any guarantees that their vouchers are actually a good deal! Buyer beware!
I have used Groupon for couple years and had not been disappointed until now. I purchased a voucher for group couples massage class end November. I had checked the website of Stonewater Massage and read that their group classes would be offered Tuesdays, Thursdays and one Saturday a month. After purchasing the Groupon deal, I called to reserve a spot in the class only to be old that they were only offering it on Wednesday that month. I was told I would be called in couple weeks and there would be a class next month that would be on a Tuesday or Thursday. I never received a phone call. When I called back after few weeks, I was told they are only offering the class on Wednesdays which I can not make.
I contacted Groupon twice now to ask for a refund since the merchant was not able to follow through on their offer. I did not receive any response. It's been very frustrating. I've had to dispute the charge on my credit card.
NEVER BUY THEIR PRODUCT. It's either fake or cheaply made. For example, their shoe rack that's suppose to hold 50 shoes broke within the first 2 days and I spent more money reinforcing the structure than the rack itself. Contacted customer service and said pretty much too bad so sad. No refunds. Hate them.
Bought a Groupon for an Escape Room experience. The Escape Room website didn't work and they never answered a phone call from me to schedule a visit. When I contact Groupon for help they attempted to contact the business but were unable to get in touch with them either. Because this process took longer than 3 days after my purchase, they were unable to refund me my money.
Groupon is a middleman that doesn't even gaurantee that the things you buy from them will actually be delivered. This was an experience, but if what I bought was an actual item and it took longer than 3 days to arrive, Groupon will not reimburse you.
That's not just a poor online experience, that's just a terrible company in general. While other companies like Uber and Amazon strive to do more and spread by word of mouth, a company like this deserves to go banrupt.
They can keep my $69.95. But be warned, cut out this middleman and look in the papers for its ultimate demise.
I went to the site of Groupon and what wonderful deals. I place a large order, got ready to check out and was informed of the sad news that they don't ship to Alaska. Now in the part that I live in we don't pay sales tax and the things were cheap and things I remember from my mom using with them still lasting today. Well guess I have to move back to the lower 48 if I want Groupon to ship to me. Enjoy for I know I would have. Happy Days in 2016
I used to like this company but their return policy if awful. You have to speak to a supervisor and beg for your money back if you make a mistake and purchase something you don't want. I much prefer to shop at Living Social because their return policy is awesome.
I want to love groupon, and the idea of it is perfect... but I bought 2 items there. Both christmas gifts... and they are of the worst quality. Seriously. I would give them 0 stars for it if I could. First bamboo cutting boards... one broke basically the first week it was used. I was skeptical but I tried again with a blow dryer. And when reading the instructions (which I never ever never do) I noticed about 100 grammatical errors and typos. I find it hard to believe that the company for this "genuine" new item would let that all slip. It looks and feels like its going to blow up at any moment and the plug that goes into the wall I noticed says patent pending. Wtf? Honestly I'm afraid to use it. And it does none of what the typos say it will do. Ex: reduce static and frizz.
Most definitely sticking to services if I ever buy from them again. And reading the reviews from companies who use them... that makes me think twice anyway. :(
I bought a horseback riding ticket for my husband birthday. But they couldn't fit me in the day I wanted to go. That was alright I knew it may happen, so we went to there different day. They were nice and advised I can call Groupon to get refund.
Then I did... The women I talked was so rude, I know so many consumers called you claim, but before I started talking She had already gave me bad manner.
The point is
We have all knew the Groupon doesn'r have good service.
The business owner!
You shouldn't deal with the Groupon. They make your businesses looks bad!
I know I am small business owner, and I used them as free Advertisement.
Bad Idea!
I love scrolling through Groupon and seeing the great deals they offer! But as a first time customer, I was disappointed. I had purchased tickets for a certain event and two days later my tickets were still "pending." I live chatted with their customer service and found out that their inventory department had canceled my order because the show had sold out. It doesn't bother me that the show sold out, but they neglected to inform me in any way that my order was canceled. Luckily, I found out soon enough to be able to purchase tickets somewhere else. Groupon, please be professional and keep your customers informed!
I wish I could give negative stars. They list false information for hotels, when you try to cancel with the hotel the hotel tells you no problem, Then groupon says the hotels policy is that you cannot cancel. Supervisors will not get back to you after you're told that they will contact you even when you send multiple emails. I rented a hotel New York City that was listed with a pool. You had to pay extra for amenities. This pool closed at 5:45 and you were not allowed to check in until 4:00 PM. What was not listed on Was that you have no access to the pool for any more than an hour and 45 minutes, And you only have access when you rent out a lien for 30 minutes at a time. I had three children with me I'm not sure what children are satisfied with 30 minutes of a li I had three children with me I'm not sure what children are satisfied with 30 minutes of a lane. I ended up having to pay over $200 for a room that I didn't even stay in all when I tried to dispute it previously
I was supposed to receive a $61 refund and they tried telling me the charge didn't exist in order to keep my money. I gave them all my bank information and they still denied it. I finally submitted a claim through my bank and they were able to find it easily. What a scam!
Extremely poor customer service. They're located out of the United States, and the lady I spoke with was extremely rude. I'll never call that customer service number again! She was talking over me, and would barely let me get a word in edgewise.
When these companies outsource American jobs to other countries, they aren't aware of the quality of person they're hiring to speak with their paying customers.
Pitiful!
I received the product DAMAGED! I tried to contact them and they say we apologize for any inconvenience but your item is not eligible... I say no I wanted the product it is just damaged. Again well sorry but your item is not eligible. So now Im stuck with a broken product. I will never use them again.
Set of four moscow mule mugs - regularly priced at $99 - on sale for $30. Recieved the mugs in time frame described. First one i opened was all scrtached. THe mugs were very cheaply made. Barely weighed anything, shine was not as advertised and the etching was almost unnoticeable.
No wonder they cant sell at $99 - not worth the $30 I paid - crap product, misleading advertising and lost a customer
I would say most of the Groupon discounts are a deal. SOme are not, if you can find it elsewhere for the same price, even though Groupon make it seem you are getting better value than it really is. I found most of the restaurants are good value, some are again, the real value would not have been justified for what you get in service, food quality etc.
In fact the best thing about Groupon is really for the vendors. They get to market their product and customers get to try them for discounted (try out pass) for their services.
I would like them to succeed because it is great win win for everyone.
I have been burned by them over and over. They don't respond when a company goes out of business. Used one Groupon and the "cost" at the place was cheaper at the place than the cost of the Groupon. Traded in a Groupon and the money never showed up nor would they respond. If you know a particular place, go ahead. Otherwise they don't deliver things and blame you. Often a rip off.
I ordered a pair of boots & didn t receive them, so asked for a refund. Not only didn t I get the boots but I was charged 3 times on my credit card for $112.57. I have not received a refund for any amount! I have tried e-mailing them & no response. I have tried to contact Groupon for a response as they took over ideel I. This is absurd!
Someone got into my Groupon account and tried to buy over 25 Spa certificates. Groupon did NOT alert me to this problem. I had to call them and they did not admit to having any fraud issue. It wasn't my credit card that was compromised because the Groupon purchases were the only thing the 'thief' tried to get away with. My credit card company rejected the purchases except the first one (I don't understand this either) and after I talked to them, they rejected that one too. I closed my Groupon account because Groupon did not have a system to 'stop' or send an 'alert' about odd activities.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?
Answer: Groupon usually sends a tracking # via email If not do as the other people suggested, check My Groupons
Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.
Answer: I personally do not trust groupon. The question previous to yours printed on this site should answer your question as to its reliaiblity
Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
