I have had several experiences with trying to get help with things I have purchased with NO solution! The latest was a cell phone that was late to arrive and then was defective. I have sent a couple emails and keep getting the run around. Now being told Groupon can't help me and I need to contact the warranty. Which I had to email again! I have had it! I will never do business with them again. There is a reason things are cheap!
Don't buy a groupon! Service is not guaranteed to be good, you always end up paying more or getting bad products and services. On top of that, Groupon offers a horrible customer service. I bought an $85 window tint and schedule an app. When I got to the place they had three cars to work on at the same time of my appointment, they said it would take them about 7 hours to get my car ready. I drove an hour to get there and it was a bad area for me to stay that long. Groupon denied a refund even though the place was not honoring the time of their appointment and was also asking for more money if I wanted a good tinted film that was dark enough to make a difference. It was a terrible experience and I lost my money. The worse is, I bought one for a spa and I had a terrible experience on my first appointment, I still have three more to go and I'm considering to lose my money too because they won't care if the service is bad, they won't return your money no matter what.
I had used Groupon before, 2-3 times and that was fine. This time, with a different business, I am having a really hard time redeeming my Groupon because the business is not responding to me. I ask for help, and the customer support team has been trying to reach out to the business since 2 weeks ago. Because they also couldn't help me use the Groupon, I asked for a full refund via email. Since then, I have not heard back from them. Today I talked to another customer support staff via chat, and it was like talking to a computer. She said her team is different than the "email" team, and she will talk to her supervisor. It's been over 3.5 weeks since I purchased this groupon - I wanted to start going to a gym, but because of this, it's been delayed for 3.5 weeks. I hope it gets resolved soon. Either way, I don't think I will come back to use Groupon in the future. This is too risky.
I ordered a Roku 2 from groupon and it never arrived. In order for UPS to do an investigation the sender has to contact them. I asked groupon to do this, and they refused and told me to ask my neighbors if they got my package.
Overall, I like their site and what they are doing. Their customer service is WAY better than livingsocial. I had similar problems with the referrals with both and groupon responded within hours of my email and refunded my account quickly while livingsocial has not responded in over a month with repeated inquiries.
It seems like in my area, the reps aren't telling the local businesses exactly how things work as some have canceled their deals after the fact but luckily, I haven't had a problem with that.
On the 22nd of April I ordered shoe racks. On the 24th I got an email confirmation of my order being dispatched. And here we are a month later, still no product. I have been told many times to wait another week and another 5 days, then 24-48 hours. It's an absolute joke, disgrace to treat a customer in such way. I asked a couple of times for my refund, but I am getting nowhere. Never again will I use groupon and I will advise everyone to stay of their website.
I purchased 2 different products from this site and both merchants of those products honored the vouchers with no problem. The products were an excellent buy as they were discounted by 70% or more the retail value.
The return policy. I need to return an item but it's day 15 on a 14 day return policy. And they only give store credit! Horrible. I thought I had more time but they only allow 14 days from SHIP DATE!, not delivery date. So, the longer it takes to arrive, the shorter the time to return. This REEKS.
Groupon is the worst to order from. I requested a refund for services I bought but the place closed so I was unable to redeem the Groupon which cost $85.00. Groupon agreed to refund me but never gave me my refund. Tried to do a charge back and still didn't get my money back. I let it go just chalked it up as a loss ordered City Passes that cost me $250 for a trip I'm taking but tried to get a refund right now for it and they are refusing my refund so basically Groupon stole $335.00 from me. I will never order with them again horrible customer service!
We have had multiple unsatisfactory conversations with Groupon over their support of vendors who use Groupon to bait/switch consumers. MassageLuxe is an example. They run promotional offers on Groupon, then do not honor the Groupon. They tell the holder of the Groupon that the price paid will be credited against a full price purchase. This is a classic bait/switch. In response to our complaints, Groupon supports the vendor and takes a 'buyer beware' approach. Be careful of Groupon and their bait/switch vendors like MassageLuxe.
I had an issue with a service provider to which I had purchased a Groupon. I got no where with the provider. They were actually quite bad to do business with. I contacted customer service at groupon to see what they could do. They agreed to refund my money in groupon bucks (having been a long time member). Sure I would have rather had my money back, but groupon didn't have to do anything at all as the deal was between me and the third party. As far as I am concerned they went above and beyond to keep me a happy customer. Plus I heard back from customer service within a couple hours of my initial email. Thank you Groupon. You rock!
I don't understand the bad reviews because I have been using Groupon for over 2 years and have had 90 percent satisfaction. The other 10percent was a bad experience but it was with the merchant that I bought it from and groupon happily credited my account to use on something else with no problem. I also had a situation where I was sent the wrong size and they gladly fixed that issue with no problem as well. I really love this website and will say if you have a problem just email them and they will fix it with awesome customer service satisfaction. I would give a five but because of the 10percent I can't.
I ordered a Gap groupon last week, went to use it and it did not work. Talk about a waste of time. To drive down to the mall, brave the crazy back-to-school shoppers and get to the register to have the manager think you are trying to scam them with a used Groupon. I had just received it in my email and am an honest person. Groupon should either have their vendors better trained on how to handle problems with Groupons or "fix it" on the back end. When I emailed them to explain my situation, I just got a refund. No "sorry for the incovenience", no "it's our fault, not yours", nothing. Glad I at least got the refund- but be weary of this site!
Groupon is nice, but I strongly recommend that you make sure you are going to use the coupon. If you don't it's worth the face value at the merchant, and if the merchant refuses to accept or goes out of business, you can get a refund, but you do need to do some work to get it.
Like many others, Groupon is a poorly ran business. There's no quality control over the restaurants and it's like playing russian roulette. The last 2 restuarants we went to was atrocious. Food was terrible, service was even worst. Groupon needs to get their act together and not allow the dodgy restuarants pull them under. There's a reason why the restaurants advertise on Groupon, the reason being is that they can't generate enough business by themselves and are forced to flog their menus as a last minute attempt to stay afloat!
Groupon - Please get your act together. Very soon, people will recognize your buiness as Sh#ton!
Does any one know what number Groupon Management can be contacted. Not the automated number displayed on their site. I need to get hold of some one responsible. I tried my best but did not find any one to talk to.
Do not buy anything in Groupon where you have to make an appointment. I still have 2 or 3 expire groupons that I could never used because the providers never returned the calls or the appointments where for a time that only someone who doesn't work can attend. It's a problem to request the refund and do not refund expire purchases even though the providers never return your calls. I lost around $120,00 because of this
I recently received an email from(at least I think it was from)Groupon, stating that my password and billing information had been deleted because of unusual activity in your Groupon account. To protect your account, weve proactively deleted your billing information and removed your existing Groupon password. I searched for a contact number to confirm that it was indeed from Groupon. Nowhere could I find a number. After a number of clicks on the SIte, I found a general email address. This is unacceptable in my opinion and I will not purchase any more products or services from a company that will not provide a contact number.
I bought an item on groupon goods well before Christmas. I received an email saying that my order would be shipped soon. 4 weeks later (3 weeks before Christmas) groupon sent me an apology email saying that they decided to cancel my order because they oversold their available quantities. What $#*! hats. Right before Christmas! Now I'm scrambling to find a replacement gift and I couldn't be more furious. I hope the company goes belly up.
I never got to use my Groupon. The merchant's site denied my Groupon and a Groupon representative was able to replicate the error. I went to visit the merchant's shop in person, and they said they could not help me. The merchant told me to contact Groupon for a refund. Groupon had to conduct an investigation. I explained I would no longer be in the same city and would like a refund. Even still, I received a reply to go to try the Groupon again. I cannot try the Groupon again. Because I'm no longer in the same city. I've requested a refund multiple times. Groupon is ignoring my email. And the support option on the site has been dysfunctional for weeks. This is unreal. What a scam.
I'm so tired of this site. They denied me a refund over a year ago for a service I stupidly used to pay hundreds for on their site. Instead, they issued me a credit I have been struggling to use for YEARS. I will ensure I'm done within the next month and close my account for good. What a headache.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?
Answer: Groupon usually sends a tracking # via email If not do as the other people suggested, check My Groupons
Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.
Answer: I personally do not trust groupon. The question previous to yours printed on this site should answer your question as to its reliaiblity
Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
