Be very careful about trying to use an expired Groupon. According to the printed "rules," "the amount paid will never expire and may be applied to ANY (my emphasis) goods or services offered by the merchant if the promotion is no longer available." Since my "promotional value" was for a meal for two, and since that promotion had expired, I expected the restaurant to honor a meal for one to the dollar amount I had already paid. Wrong! I was expected to sucker a friend into paying an ADDITIONAL amount for their meal. The amount paid for a voucher may "never expire," but you cannot simply use that amount for a meal for one -- i. E., for yourself!
When a restaurant to which I'd purchased a deal closed, they refunded my money even though we'd claimed the offer (we just hadn't used it yet). There was no muss, no fuss.
I always have great experiences with them and appreciate the deals!
Warning! Do not order anything from Groupon! They are deceptive by falsely advertising pictures and info and the products are either purely deceptive, have missing parts, and they lie about choices that do not exist.
They used to be reputable, but no longer! They don't get back to you on email or phone, they disconnect you probably hoping that you'll just give up. Well, Joe, Mr. "supervisor", I hope you had a nice lunch, while keeping me waiting once again! I don't need your $10 pathetic credit offer because I will not be using your $#*!ty services again. Send me the damn return labels. I'd rather have the jelly of the month!
"If this isn't a bag over the head, punch in the face... GD it!... hallelujah, holy $#*!, where's the Tylenol?"
Haha!
I ordered groupon goods twice and had to wait for 2-3 weeks due to their slow shipping speed! Finally I didn't receive an order and when complained, they said my address was not right! What a horrible customer service! Thy also charge $2.99 shipping for goods which are less than $14.99.
I ordered a so- called diamond hoop earrings again. Received it today and it looks so crappy. Like a cheap metal ans no stones at all! In the groupon ad it was mentioned as 1/10th carot diamonds with clarity J n all bull$#*!...
Shut down your bloody company "groupon"!
I have purchased 2 Groupon deals, only for them to refund my money back days later, with no explanation from Groupon. I was made aware I didn't have deals via my credit card company refunds. One of the deals purchased was for 528.00 for concert tickets, I reached out to Groupon via email a couple of times, I was informed at one time to check my credit card info, any rep said try to repurchase the tickets in different section. Clearly my credit card was fine because both purchases were charged and refunded. Reached out to manager, he tells me sorry, section is not available try another section. I tried a couple more times, no section were available, but still showing on website. So it ended with my credit card company sending me a fraud alert., due to the many attempts of 528.00 going thorugh and then Groupon refunding. Manager was of zero help.
I've been following Groupon since my original purchase of a $99 "deal" at Salon 505 in Austin. I originally purchased one, but an advert on Craigslist a few days later was my wake-up call. Basically, it said "Show up and you are hired. Must work 7 days a week. Experience not necessary." So I cancelled my "deal" started reading reviews. They sold 5,000 (not 3,200 as listed on groupon). They charged $82 to your card as a pre-tip when you made an appt. And they KEPT it, the employees didn't get those tips. The appts (if you could get them to answer) were set 2 years out. The customer service was horrid across the board. ------- NOW (July 2011)... Groupon still has Salon 505 listed as a spa "past deal"... even though Salon 505 is out of business and didn't honor their certificates. So I will not do business with Groupon, regardless of how good the "deal" seems to be.
Firstly, aren't all the vouchers in here are valid for 24 hours only?
I was taking note on one of their items a no longer in production old flip phone by Sony Ericsson at the following Link:-
http://www.groupon.my/deals/national-deal/nky-electronic-center/*******
I found this product was on sale yesterday night and it had only 2 hours left to be purchased. When i checked just not too long ago the timer has increased to 10 hours?
Truly now is it a scam or what? Or can all those company really pro-long the duration whenever they like after it's expired?
I purchase from Groupon twice recently and it was as if I did not get a deal at all. The shipping a lone cost so much that it was not even worth purchasing a Groupon. Also, you have to read the fine print before you purchase from Groupon. They will rip you off so be careful.
This company is a joke, there is no way to contact service support, there is no customer service phone number and their email system online does no allow you to click the send button, stay away from this fraudulent company
I booked a hotel. Groupon say to 1. Bring photo ID, 2. Bring the Groupon proof and 3. Enjoy. Well I get to my hotel and I need a government issue photo id. My husband has his so the hotel asked to have Groupon our the reservation in his name. I live chatted 3 people who assured my it would be done in a few minutes (meanwhile I'm stranded with 3 kids and a baby in the lobby). Over 2 hours later and they didn't do it. The hotel took pity and let us in. I'll never use Groupon again
If asked to review a few weeks ago, I would have given them a five star rating.
However, after being ripped off this week for Tennessee Titans tickets through them via charmcitytickets.com I am appalled at the lack of a deal I got. Wow, sure, I will pay 43 bucks for a 61 value ticket. Just bring the turnip truck on around bc I think that is where I fell from. Who wouldn't want to pay that for the LAST ROW on the visitor side? Their supplier is selling that row for five bucks right now. I know prices fluctuate but this is really bad business Groupon. Yes, the seats were within the stated sections, so you listed quite a few sections. However, lets give out the worst possible seats we can find to keep a good customer, right? Heck no. I plan to see if my bank will recall payment when they open tomorrow. Customer service was of no help.
Groupon goods customer service is horrible. Couldn't even find a phone number to contact them on their site. Had to google and find elsewhere... because they DON"T want to hear from you. Lost my shipment and wouldn't reship because the deal was over. Didn't care to make any offer to rectify other than giving me $10 towards a future purchase. Tried multiple times... issues each time. Won't be ordering again.
I have recently purchased numerous items from Groupon. None of which do as stated. The chair arm organiser. Doesn't sit straight on slightly curved arms and anything you try to balance on it falls off. Charcoal whitening tooth paste - after 2 weeks of use has turned my teeth more discoloured and caused bad oral health. Black blackheads mask - absolutely nothing! Not one came out. Crap! The holiday travel shoulder bag with loads of pockets. So cheap it doesnt keep its shape and the lining has started fraying when just trying out in the house. A power bank - paid for 1600 and got sent 800. Lol scammed!
It's completely laughable.
What a nightmare trying to get any help from Groupon customer support. The only way to get support is through email now, and all their support reps are based in India. No offense, but it was clear they don't care to look into your support request, they just use their AI software to type some generic response that doesn't address what's going on. All they kept giving me were these canned, robot-sounding answers that didn't solve squat. To top it off, they asked for my credit card info even though I wasn't buying anything! I knew I shouldn't have given it to them because guess what — there were fraudulent charges on there the very next day. Do yourself a favor, don't use Groupon, you're really not getting a bargain on anything. It's a fraudulent company that is operating on years of corporate cuts to try and remain afloat.
Zero benefits--- That's what I get from their sneaky subscription. To this date I'm paying to the useless subscription that I was forced to pay and surprisingly, I am not seeing myself subscribed to the subscription I am paying for. I tried to reach customer service-- Zero response. Waste of money time effort. Groupon is becoming a theft.
I used to spend tons on Ideali. No more since acquired by Groupon. Such a bummer. I wish Ideali would come back as it was.
Groupon doesn't appear to sell most of what Ideali offered. However, their site is so poorly organized you can't even be sure. I'm tired of seeing endless vibrators when searching for things like Tahari dresses and Marika tees, which I no longer can find.
I've been their customer for a year now. Stuff I purchased were mostly low-priced items so everything was fine, until last week. I received this 20% off coupon so I decided to use it on some designer shoes. Suddenly saw this Ferragamo Vara and immediately made the purchase. So excited to open the box when UPS finally arrived and guess what? Wrong item! It's still Ferragamo but the style or the color all went wrong. And what's worse? It's a worn item! So somebody else must've returned it. There is no dust bags、no stuffings in the shoes and the packaging was terrible! I don't believe it's an honest mistake, they simply don't want their customers to use the 20% off coupon on items priced above 30 dollars. Already wrote a letter to costumer service and hopefully to get my refund without a hassle. After this experience, I will never purchased from them again.
Groupon is a trusted site of mine. If you can put up with multiple daily emails, it's worth it. You may have to delete a lot of emails/deals that come through but that you don't need, but it's worth it when they post a deal that's relevant to you.
They offer at least 1/2 off on everything -- from food, spas, salons, clothes, adventures, event and movie tickets, even trips. They have a new feature now, called Groupon Now, that offers good deals that are available as soon as you purchase and expire within the day -- perfect for last minute lunch plans or a quick car wash.
All in all, definitely worth scoping out for gifts or for items that you would normally buy at full price anyway. A bonus to get things you wouldn't normally splurge on, but can afford at half off!
Im so shocked at how low their rating is! I've had such a great experience with Groupon as a *consumer*... although I may not be interested in all the deals they give me in my area, it's still fun to see what the deal of the day is, and the site is really easy to navigate for technically-challenged people like me haha :). Also, their website says that they stand behind all groupon vouchers, so I feel pretty confident whenever I purchase my groupon! I live in the San Diego area and have bought... a groupon for movie tickets, one for Nordstrom Rack and I know my sister's bought at least 4 groupons herself (mostly restaurants) and neither of us have had any trouble thus far... you should definitely try it out, I sincerely think it's worth a shot :D.
My friend told me about Ideeli so I signed up a few days ago. I was so excited because I found the perfect watch for my husband for our 1 year anniversary, and found a couple pairs of shoes and jewelry for myself. When I couldn't log in to my account today I contacted customer service and was told that they cancelled all of my orders and deleted my entire Ideeli account because they couldn't get a hold of me which is complete BS - they hardly tried. My husband is disappointed because he doesn't have the watch he fell in love with, and now I don't have shoes and jewelry for a wedding I'm attending this month... what a joke. Stay away. It's a headache to find something you like and then have this happen.

Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?
Answer: Groupon usually sends a tracking # via email If not do as the other people suggested, check My Groupons
Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.
Answer: I personally do not trust groupon. The question previous to yours printed on this site should answer your question as to its reliaiblity
Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
Groupon has a rating of 1.6 stars from 5,286 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Groupon most frequently mention customer service, credit card and fine print. Groupon ranks 250th among Daily Deals sites.
Hi Tina,
Thank you for giving us feedback here on SiteJabber. I'm so sorry that the package you received contained the wrong item. The purpose of our 20% off promo is to excite our members with a greater value on their order - then follow through with accurate and speedy shipping of your items. It's our goal to have every order we ship out be correct and in good condition when it reaches you. However, we do ship over 100,000 packages a month, and as such mistakes can happen. Additionally, for your security, none of your billing information - which includes promotional discounts - is shared with our fulfillment center, which is where your items are picked, packed and shipped.
I would like to help assure you that your return has been set up, and that you have all the necessary information to send this item back to us for a full refund. Please provide me the order number for this item, and I will be happy to assist you in resolving this issue as quickly as possible.
Best,
