If you value your customer and most importantly your business, stay away from groupon. They take days to get back to you, and when they do they aren't helpful at all. For us they had the irrelevant and in accurate information which they would not change, no matter how many times we tried. No assistance on the weekend at all. And most of the editing team is located off site where you can't talk to them. It was a very poor experience.
My only problem was missing the expirations. I was so pleased when the paid value became good forever. And just recently - they emailed me with an offer to let me trade in an expired groupon for value on a new purchase! Fantastic idea!
I'm a business owner, after filling out the application and waiting a week i still hadn't heard back so i gave them a call. The gentleman clearly stated, "yeh were overwhelmed, someone may get back to you in a month, if not there is nothing i can do". You would think, if you had too much business you would hire more people. This company is a sham. It preys on smaller businesses. That's it. - Done with Groupon!
I used to think they were great but then I realized that you can get stuff directly from merchants for about the same or better deals and will get better customer service. If something goes wrong with Groupon they will copy and paste stock answers and over that repeat the same thing saying why they cannot help you. Cut out the middle man and go directly to merchants.

I had a scheduled trip for 3/27/20 to Jackson Hole, Wyoming and hotel stay at Snow King Mountain Resort. (Snow King Mountain Resort has been very professional and prompt in the responses.) I purchased the hotel stay via Groupon. Due to Corona virus outbreak all ski resorts are closed. As well authorities discourage non-essential travel because it is a health risk. I am trying to get a hold of someone for a refund. There is no customer support. You cannot call and speak to anyone if you call their number. You cannot email anyone at *******@groupon.com because they send you a return email directing you to their online support at groupon.com/support. At that page you will find the following message:
We're experiencing higher than normal wait times due to Coronavirus. You can reach us via email and chat. We appreciate your patience.

I have been dealing with this bunch of disgusting, liars and good for nothing customer service representatives! They shorten my credit. I returned the poor quality items and they did not return the full amount owed to me. I have sent them so many emails only to have all these automated (it seems) emails saying that they had processed my refund. What they don't seem to get is that my complain is due to a shortage on my refund! I am furious with this company! Anyone has or wishes to file a formal complain let me know. *******@gmail.com
I've had 2 out of 3 orders delayed. This is on top of their already slow delivery system which usually takes an order about 2-3+ weeks for it to be delivered.
To give you an idea:
I made an order on 9/5 with expected shipping between 9/23-29. When I checked UPS tracking number, it seems they shipped the items on 9/29 with delivery either today, 10/5 or tomorrow. Wasn't I supposed to receive the items (at latest) the day they shipped it?
So I have two complaints:
1. Why is their delivery system so freaking slow? Other online flash sale sites ship and deliver within a week.
2. Why is it delayed even further?
I understand that they have vendors who ship the items. But it's ideeli who is ultimately responsible for the delivery as I am purchasing these items from them.
Although they have some great sales, it's not worth the time and money. And forget about buying items as gifts, unless that person's birthday is a year away.
I bought one restaurant groupon for the Italian inn. They wouldn't answer the phones there you only got recordings. Then no return calls. Then next was for a news paper subscription. Groupon denied the offer I paid for even after I called the Fort Worth Star Telegram newspaper several times and they said they would honor it. Groupon hung up the phone on me, I called back again they were more than happy to refund my money on the newspaper subscription because they didn't want to confirm with the newspaper. But not on the restaurant groupon it was almost $40.00. Just be very careful with these so called good deals! I will never use them again!
I love the website - but two items I have ordered and PAID FOR have not arrived, weeks after the order was placed and follow up enquiries to Groupon. What is it with the service side of things with this site? Surely an email advising of slow dispatch would help allay fears that they had "taken the money and run"? I am going to unsubscribe as I have had enough!
I purchased Angels baseball tickets thinking I would get better seats than I could purchase on my own. Groupon does not tell you where the tickets are until game day. You find out two hours prior to the game where you can pick them up at will call. I ended up getting the worst seats ever! I paid $38 (with discount) a piece for $18 seats. I was ripped off! I could not return them and get better seats because the office was closed at the time I received my tickets. I called to complain and get some of my money back and they gave me 25 groupon bucks. Wow! I did notice that the tickets are now $6 a piece. Groupon knows they ripped me off and refused to make reparations... But they did reduce the price of the tickets on their website which is great for people purchasing from here on.
I went o to Las Vegas and paid for a burlesque show. The show was cancelled and I did not get a notification. When asking the venue for a refund, they said I needed to contact Groupon who sold the ticket. Upon contact, they refused to refund me for 1. Not cancelling the payment within 24 hours of purchasing (because I can foresee the future) and 2. They told me to read the fine print. I did and it said nothing about refunding a cancelled show except they will notify the buyer of the cancellation. Which they did not.
They are still refusing to refund me my money.
I have been trying for almost 3 weeks to find out how to post reviews for items I purchased on their site. They keep telling me that they will send me out a link to due that and still have never got one. Finally they told me to just tell them my review and they'll post it as me. I think their reviews are fake for the supposed great products they sell since after all my purchases and emails I have never once been allowed to comment on anything I bought.
Tried to purchase the Costco deal and the order did not go through. Despite using Google Pay the transaction was declined. I got an email asking me to update my card on file. I updated my card on file. The order showed processing for 24 hours so I contacted customer support. I was told they could not do anything because it had to be escalated to the "special Costco group" and I would receive a reply via email. It's been three days and I finally get "I've verified that no charges were processed due to a general card decline. Any charges shown on your card's statement should disappear within 3–5 business days. The Costco Deal is currently unavailable." So groupon screws up AND I don't get the voucher. Crappy customer service whether you are a customer trying to get a voucher or a business trying to offer a deal. Groupon is AWFUL!
I placed an order for a £500 TV with a promised delivery date of 7 days four weeks later no TV and my refund has been refused whilst it contacts the supplier. This is despite cancelling as is my legal right within 14 days. As a result I have had to raise a resolution via PayPal to receive my refund dreadful customer service who simply stated they know they are breaking the law but it is company policy unbelievable I will never ever order again!
I used Groupon for years and spent over a thousand dollars on past deals, so I trusted that they had their patrons best interest in mind. Unfortunately, this was not the case.
The most recent Groupon I bought had additional stipulations added by the merchant that were not included in the fine print on Groupon. Instead of helping me, or at least adding the additional fine print to the Groupon, they basically told me I was out of luck.
So, never again will I let Groupon scam me, and hopefully you will not fall for their scammy deals either. It's one thing to sell a coupon and have the merchant make additional fine print without Groupon knowing, it's quite another for Groupon to knowingly sell deals that do not have all the fine print listed, and then leave their customers in the lurch.
Warning! Do not purchase any brand name item through Groupon. I just purchased a $2000 Prada purse from them and took to let Prada check it out and is totally Fake. I can get the same fake one for less than $200 else where. I trusted Groupon and confirmed with them before I purchased and still got trapped into it. The worst part is I didn't receive the item pictured they shipped me a different color and didn't provide me with any explanation. They are using Groupon name to do this type of illegal thing. Please don't be a victim like me if you want to see my receipt I will be happy to show it.
The companies that are using Groupon have no idea what they are doing. They sell vouchers and make offers that they can not follow through. I bought a voucher for a local restaurant and when we tried to book a table we were just fobbed off, we either rang at the wrong time and "the person who deals with groupon" was off that day or they only take groupon booking between 10am & 4pm.
Groupon - scan. I paid them money for tickets, but didn't get it. Customer service can't help me with it. They said me, that I will get my tickets from seller. But Groupon is seller. I paid money to Groupon. I spent 7 days dealing with an incompetent support service that does not want to solve the problem and does not send me tickets. In one of the messages they wrote that they did not have my tickets. So, they are scam.
The absolute worst booking website on the internet today! I would not recommend this company for anything! They are a scam and will take your money! Don't let the cheap stuff fool you, they will get you in the end! I wish there was a way to give a zero star because they don't deserve one star!
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.

Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!

They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
