Please do not take anything from Groupon as they take the money and will give nothing. I have booked hotel from Groupon and confirmed over phone but when we visited that place the hotel owner told us that there is no any booking over here through Groupon. After several mails to Groupon we have not received our money back. Even you could not find the number on time. So please don't go with Groupon.
I am now waiting a full 2 months for the half of a bed that never arrived. Customer Support are nothing short of disgraceful, I get a reply to them every 2 days and they simply offer me store credit, which is no good to me as I am never shopping with Groupon again. Might be handy for a voucher for a trip away but their lack of respect for dealing with the issue is disgusting and shameless.
They never helped me even after they tell you to ask for support via emails! Groupon spare me the reply back because its not worth your time anymore! I recommend not using groupon because third party merhcants can take your money not provide you with product and groupon will not do anything about it! Groupon use to have superb customer service and now because many use them they have no more care for consumers!
If you see the below 2 images you will can easily see how they fool around.
For an adult 30 min biking they show 250 and their price as 109 where they make you
Be-lie-ve that you are saving 56%. But if you look at the second image the cost is 120. So you save only 10 bucks and not 141 (250-109). This is how they take you for a ride thinking you have a deal.
I purchased a jacket from Groupon. It was too big on me and I requested twice for a return. All Groupon customer service replied was they have already contacted the seller and the seller will have to handle my return. It's been weeks so far I haven't heard anything from the seller, or Groupon to follow up. Very irresponsible. I will not purchase anything again from Groupon.
I am very suspicious of such deep discounts. Today I got a deal of $350-worth of yoga classes for $20... seriously? This can't be real. If the business in question honours the deal, I would just feel bad taking advantage of them like that. And if not, then it's just a scam. Why not run a more sensible, socially responsible version of Groupon... say, 25-40% discounts that encourage new customers to discover a business.
A second point - you have to be very careful with the deals. A few days ago I almost bought a Groupon admission for a rock concert - $35 for tickets worth "up to $80". The catch? The tickets are for a section seating where prices range from $25-80, so you could actually be paying $35 for $25 tickets, and for all that, have a "Groupon" instead of a proper ticket, and zero ability to select your seats. I won't be buying tickets from Groupon again.
Purchased two deals this year for services in the Madison WI area. The businesses are clearly too small to handle the number of customers generated by Groupon. In both cases, it was virtually impossible to get through to the businesses 'due to the large number of calls we are currently receiving'. I never did get through to one business, the second business has repeatedly failed to put my appointment in the computer. I've shown up twice only to find there is no appointment. Today I called to confirm my appointment and same problem, no record of my appointment. Groupon will refund me, but I think they need to do a better job making sure the participating merchants have the ability to meet demand.
My daughter and son-in-law had purchased a Groupon for my husband and myself, as a gift last Christmas, 2016. It was for a dolphin sightseeing tour in St. Augustine, FL, and expired 12/31/17. I was going to book a tour after returning from a Disney Cruise on 12/4/17. But when I pulled up the Groupon, it was saying it was Redeemed on 12/1/17 at 6 something PM. Well, at that day and time, we were out to sea on the cruise. I had never marked it Redeemed. Multiple emails back and forth to Groupon, even mentioning that my daughter had purchased it, and no resolution was made. They then, with only a few days remaining on this Groupon, told me that my daughter needed to email them, since she was the one who purchased it. She did, and still nothing! It now expires in 2 days! I'm so angry with them and will never buy another Groupon! Their customer service STINKS!
This isa shambles i bought a teeth whitening voucher and when u call the number it says its not in service so i tried to call groupon who just puts u on hold and not answer i sent them 2 emails and had no reply people should be warned of this as its a scam
I have ordered 2 items using my store credit. The items arrived on the last day of the eligible return and became not returnable. The life chat doesn't work, e-mails are not answered. I lost my money. This company is a scam, stay away from them!
Pictures on the website are way too off from what I've got. And at the end they gave me $50 of Groupon money. $#*!ty website and helpless CS I've ever deal with. It was expensive mistake. Never deal with this guys. App deleted and lesson learned.
Be aware! I ordered product which showed with the tracking number that it was delivered and left in my mailbox (with no signature!), however, I have never received it. It took me a whole battle to get my refund. The rudest and helpless customer service ever!
Groupon Goods are the worst! My first order, for whatever reason
Failed to arrive. Then I ordered Motorola Blue tooth Buds, $50.
After 90 days they just stopped working. My email to customer service only generated an I'm Sorry!' response. I'm sorry but we only cover product if damaged in delivery, I'm sorry but 14 days is our max coverage. No help in resolution. No help in contact source to resolve, only I'm sorry. And with that I agree, THEY ARE SORRY! Never again!
These agent are locking how to speak to someone. Its even worse when you ask to speak to a manager because they're no different from the reps. I am very disappointed in the level of service I received and worse the long wait on the phone. I would never do business with this company again.
Liars and thieves. My package never reached the carrier, but Groupon said it was in transit. Then they show on the site they refunded my money. I checked with my bank and there was no refund. They will not offer a cash refund even though that was their policy. So now I'm out $228 with no product or even store credit to show for it.
I bought a Groupon for Fuel Vegetarian. I was unable to get through to the restaurant to make the reservation required. I left a message on their phone and also sent an e-mail. I did not hear anything back from the restaurant. I thought perhaps they didn't confirm reservations. My friend - who drove over 2 hours for a special birthday meal - and I went to Fuel Vegetarian. They were closed. I've been trying to find a way to ask for my money back from Groupon, but can't find any way to communicate with them. Maybe they will see this. If so, I want my ten dollars back! The Groupon expires May 1st and my friend and I won't be wasting gas money going there again.
This company is completely unreliable. I placed an order on May 2 for six bracelets for my bridesmaids, yet received only two of them by May 28. At that point I contacted customer service, only to be told that there was no guarantee I receive the items. I simply don't understand how I can be told that there are enough items available to place my order, yet never receive them. I received nothing from customer service other than a cursory "we apologize for the inconvenience." I needed to receive this order in a timely fashion, and was not updated on its status once. They've lost a customer.
Through Groupon I bought ticket to Ripley's Aquarium in Toronto. I didn't notice in fine print that they charged me in US dollars not in Canadian. When I got my Credit card statement I found that I paid Groupon $ 7 Canadian dollars more for each ticket than I will be pay in Canada! What the kind of sale it is?! I lost my money. When I called Groupon they explained "Sales is final" no refund! Final sales?! Is it last item on shelf for sale?! Disgusting! Never using Groupon again.
I purchased a Groupon for a couple's combo massage and made an appointment for Sunday afternoon, Mother's Day, right away. I received TWO confirmations: an email and a text message. All we had to do was show up. When we did, the lady in charge told us she had no app't for us and we should come back 'tomorrow'. When we said, "No, we can't do that" she then said, "Come back 1 hour". We showed her our confirmations, but she didn't seem to care so we left. Please also note that NO ONE was in the chairs except 1 person (an employee) who was relaxing. When I called Groupon the next morning, I was offered an apology and credit to my account. After I insisted on a refund, I was granted one. Having ruined my Mother's Day, they should have offered more!
I responded to an email for Counting Crows tickets through Groupon thinking it was the show that was near me. Well it was not. It was the one 400 miles away. Instead of sending me the Jones Beach one they sent me Woodstock! They won't exchange tickets or do a refund. Disputed the charge with Visa and they denied it over the phone. Never using Groupon again and cancelling my Visa cards. The best is when my concert got cancelled and they wouldn't return my money. They gave me Groupon Bucks!
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?
Answer: Groupon usually sends a tracking # via email If not do as the other people suggested, check My Groupons
Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.
Answer: I personally do not trust groupon. The question previous to yours printed on this site should answer your question as to its reliaiblity
Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
