I ordered a code for a photobook through groupon at the cost of £15. When I went to log on to my account to find the code but I couldn't log it, the password reset didn't work either. So I went on to live chat. I spoke with Reycel N and was told he can't find my account and there was nothing more he could do. I provided proof of payment and my account email address. He just said there was nothing he could do, just kept asking for my email address. Which I gave him 10+ times. Taking money without providing the product is theft. I am absolutely disgusted by the awful customer service and theft of my hard earned money.
BEWARE! I have been struggling for over 5 months to get a refund - they claim my credit card was refunded but after contacting my credit card company several times & groupon back & forth all afternoon yesterday, I have filed a complaint with the CC collections department now - groupon claims "its out of our hands" & has no proper receipt that the money was deposited to my credit card - scam me out of $400 BUYERS beware

I am a business owner and started a Groupon campaign. They are selling vouchers and I am providing services. GROUPON IS NOT PAYING ME! They are finding silly reasons like my EIN is not validated and other stuff. My sales rep is not answering my calls and not returning my calls! I am not going to accept any more vouchers and I am going to sue them!

Groupon is a amazing I recently bought a laptop for 124.00 that's refurbished. WORKS PERFECTLY! It's a HP 11 Blue great price and great service! Shipped in 2 days just like it had assured me. It looks new! (Reminder it's REFURBISHED) All in all groupon is a great sight with amazing deals!
Purchased tickets to a Vegas show, I'm visiting for a week. The venue said they didn't have any seats for that night, (it only plays twice a week), they said come back next month but the tickets expire the month before. I said I'm visiting from Canada, I don't live there.
Contacted Groupon for a refund, they wanted copies of all emails from the vendor and myself, and all transaction numbers, etc, they said it may take up to 7 days to complete their refund investigation. I had to contact them a week later, and they asked for all that info all over again. I said check the claim number I gave you. After a few minutes they said the original agent dealt with it. I said I never heard anything except to wait until they contacted me. They didn't.
They said the "fine print" specified the tickets were subjected to availability. REALLY? They oversold the event, and that's my problem?
So who gets my money? And for what? I didn't receive any merchandise and I didn't receive a service.
This company is only bent on selling, selling, selling and not servicing their customers. They don't even know what they're selling. They are a "turd" party middleman with their fingers in your wallet.
This is the first time I've ever used them and it will be the last. Don't make the same mistake I did!

My e-mail has been given to mannnnnny other selling sites. I have unsubscribed to Groupon and all the spam sales e-mails I am now getting. I get 3 to 4 unwanted "deals " a day from peole who have gotten my address from Groupon. And I unsubscribe to all but I keep getting more. Groupon people... please make these people you give my e-mail to, to unsubscribe me like I asked them to.

I am no longer going to be using Groupon and I encourage others to not use it either. This review would have been written to the company, but like all other things in this company, they are very shifty and don't even provide an address where they can be reached. BUYER BEWARE. Groupon plays very fast & loose with your money. They use false advertising and the old bait and switch. They are good at hiding important information and not giving you a way to find the answers. Even when I left a question for them about my order, they did not answer it. This is the last straw. I had purchased a groupon for a product which was listed at $180.00. When the bill was sent to me it was for over $250.00, but they would not tell me why the change. (And that didn't even include shipping.) There was nothing on the offer that made any mention of a difference in pricing. Since it was 2 hours after I purchased the item, I am now stuck with it. I would not have purchased this item at the higher price because it was not that much of a bargain. I have had similar experiences in the past so I thought I was being extra careful. NO MORE. First off I booked a room thru Groupon to save only to arrive at my confirmed paid hotel to find out Groupon is not accepted there. Which rise a red flag of why did Groupon take my money if they knew there no longer with the property. So the hotel GM stated I would have to be refunded by Groupon cause one they have no reservation in their system and two they don't accept Groupon. So I contact Groupon via email cause they have no C's number. The state I have to get a letter in writing from the hotel stating I didn't stay there. Wait, wtf do I have to get a letter when y'all know I didn't stay there cause y'all not affiliated with them no mo as of 8 months ago. Smh you mfs contact them not me smh. I had a great experience with this site. I was reticent at first to order anything because I had never heard of it before- I kept seeing the banner ads on Facebook and decided to give it a try. I looked at a lot of consumer review sites before ordering just to make sure it wasn't a scam because I am old and afraid of technology. There were some mixed reviews but they were generally favorable so I decided to try it and see what was the what.
I originally went on looking for a cute dress but ended up getting a really gorgeous turquoise and gold necklace. It was very easy to order, the sites rules and regulations were clearly outlined and the ship dates were clearly listed on the receipt. I was bummed a bit that I had to wait but getting a $200 necklace for $30 was worth it! I even got it a bit sooner than anticiapted! I love the necklave and get compliments on it whenever I wear it. I will definitely use ideeli again for future purchases. :)
I just got off the phone with a sales rep by name of Jessica regarding a return. I had tried within a 3 month period to return items for store credit. I was out of the country and was unable to do so earlier. Upon making a recent move and coming across the unused items, one of which was a wrong item and not what I ordered, I thought I would try again. I did this as respectfully as possible and still got a very rude and disrespectful tone in return. Here is an except from my live chat.
"Jessica: However, if you insist on returning them, I will see if we're able to fully refund you - there would be no need to return - and we would close your account as it appears you are not happy with our return policy. "

The rep offered to take my items but they would close my account. I was completely surprised since I had not asked for my account to be closed. I'm happy to share the whole transcript. But I was completely shocked by the tone of the rep in question especially after being a customer for almost 5 years now. I have ignored their cancelled orders, cancelled account and mistakes in orders. Merchandise is usually as shown but customer service is a hit and miss.

We purchased 2 engagement rings based on the return policy because I feel in love with both rings. The $1,300 ring was a so cloudy-I took it to a jeweler who was infuriated and stated I should contact Consumer Affairs-which I did. We returned the rings, and wrote a review-Groupon denied (2) professionally civil reviews off their site... I called and spoke with several people who stated, "there was notheing they could do about my review. Really? What company has the right to deny a review? So Sad! I was a true dedicated shopper-DO NO PURCHASE THEIR DIAMOND RINGS! :(
I will NEVER USE GROUPON AGAIN. They are crooks. No refunds back to your Groupon account for any reason if your Groupon expires and customer service does not care one bit for you, just to take your money. NEVER let a Groupon you purchase expire! Yes, you are supposed to be able to PAY MORE money and use that Groupon value toward the original (or hiked up) business price but a LOT more money will be needed and not worth it. Sometimes the businesses go out and you lose out as many customers have complained of. I have seen people post that Groupon stole their money and closed their account for no reason. I know business owners who got totally screwed by Groupon, not getting their rightful money. Groupon is a greedy grubby company and there are plenty of competitors out there who won't look for every opportunity to steal all the nickels, dimes and dollars theuy can without providing anything to you in return.
Bougt a $219 Groupon for a limo service and followed instrucitons to submit limo reservation request. No response from limo company for 11 days (despite 2 emails & 3 voicemails). Finally contacted Groupon & heard from limo co. That day. They told me they had been booked up for the following month (the month I needed a limo) for a very long time. The Groupon was useless to me, given the fact that they were booked up. I complained to Groupon - - they should have disclosed that the co. Was already booked up. They refused to refund my $219. Finished with Groupon! You should be too.
Just for my own curiosity, I was taking a free MOOC at coursera.org about complex analysis, you know like about the Mandelbrot set and Cauchy-Riemann equations. But not being super smart, I needed help! I found a grad student nearby who charged $50/hour so I hired him for some help. But then I found KJS Tutoring which had an active Groupon going on. I joined Groupon, got their promotional discount for first-time Groupon users, then bought the KJS Tutoring Groupon, and voila! I have a two hours of very affordable (almost free) tutoring in a difficult math subject via Skype from KJS Tutoring!

Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.

I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.

They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
