I finally got my refund... Keep fighting! It may take awhile but it is starting to happen! Report to anyone you can and contact customer service DAILY if not more.

I ordered a Groupon for a hotel stay that was to happen on April 24th through the 26th of 2020. I purchased this group on on May 4th 2020. When I originally purchased this group on the confirmation from the Groupon and the hotel said that as long as I canceled within nine days of the reservation I would receive a full refund. Because of the Corona virus my reservation was canceled by not only the hotel but by Groupon. The hotel issued me an email saying they were going to refund the amount to my payment. If I did not do anything by April 2nd it would be automatically refunded. Today April 3rd 2020, I received an email saying that the refund had not been issued to my form of payment, that instead Groupon had decided because of the Corona virus situation, that they were doing all refunds in the form of Groupon bucks. Groupon bucks can only be used to purchase things from Groupon and nothing else. I contacted Groupon and told them I did not want Groupon bucks. This reservation was for a birthday party obviously we will now have to do something else for this and have no intention of going to the hotel. Groupons response was that during the Corona virus they will only issue refunds to Groupon bucks and nothing else. I'd ask them for a refund again through another customer service agent and again explained that I never chose to get Groupon bucks and then I did not want to use any Groupon services. This was well within the cancellation period that was given to me initially when I made the reservation. Again they denied giving me the refund saying that they had already processed the refund into Groupon bucks and we're only doing that at this time.
I ordered a 3 tablets on the 28th of Nov. It clearly states DELIVERED within 12 biz days. My order has not even shipped yet. They are xmas gifts so i got worried and called because everything takes forever to make it here because they use the slowest and cheapest shipping available. I spent 22 min just to get to the 1st person. I asked to just cancel the order since it hasnt shipped yet and ill just buy them somewhere local. Most companies do not charge you until item ships. They said no way. I have to wait until i finally receive item then return it then WAIT 30 DAYS for a refund. That is if THEY receive it in time. One rep told me i had 4 days to return, the website says 14 but jan 15th for xmas seaso. N I got bounced around to about 5 other super rude customer service rep. Another said they did ship. I said well give me a trk #. He answered "well they all got scrambled so i cant"! Lol. Never ordering again and ive been a customer since they started.
I did deals for my business with Amazon before - SMOOTH AS SILK. This company called me because they saw my ad on Amazon so I gave them a try. Very slick during the sale, but after that CRICKETS! And my payment was supposed to be 50% of each deal but ended up being 30%! I tried reaching my sales guy and customer care - to this day - - - NOTHING.
It took multiple emails and opening a dispute with PayPal to get my order from Roos Remnants. While the tumblers are cute, the stickers will never stand up to washing.
Groupon sold me services from a company that's out of business and took nearly two weeks to get back with me and offer me "Groupon Bucks" When I refused the Groupon bucks and made my 4th request for a refund, they finally issued a partial refund. I paid $55 and they refunded $44 with the irrational and ridiculous explanation being that the difference was for the discount I got because the Groupon was on sale when I bought it?!?!
I bought 2 concert tickets then checked a month later purchase was wiped clean kept my money they have no number to contact them only a email they don't respond
Worst experience ever not only was there no parking for more than an hour if you could find a spot on the very busy high street it meant I couldn't have my hours treatment for fear of receiving a ticket. Then when I arrived they had booked me in for the wrong treatment and then tryed to argue it and say it was my fault when they had redeemed my groupon voucher codes they knew what treatment I was having but they were so unprofessional and lazy they didn't check and used the excuse they redeem them altogether and do not check who's is who... Great customer service and care NOT! Then I got a 20 min chat with the Ciropractor who then said come back for your results after travelling over an hour to get there for 1hrs treatment I got 20mins and was told to go back another time naturally I would never step foot in there again... It's no wonder they are using groupon for customers they clearly can't keep them because they have a bad approach not even one apology was made for their mistake..
I have found no end of good deals at groupon. Only ever had 1 problem transaction and they refunded me and send a courier out to collect the item in question which was good of them.
I purchased a Groupon voucher for a family vacation during Spring break for our first visit to the Great Wolf Lodge. Everyone was looking forward to the stay. Well, when two of my children grew ill, I called and spoke with Groupon and the Lodge to see if we could cancel. The representative told us yes over the phone. Days later we received an email from Groupon saying no and that we were not getting our money back because we were deemed a "no show". I reminded them that per our recorded phone conversation, they were to process a cancellation. After many emails and a certified letter asking them to honor their recorded agreement to refund us the money or to just issue a credit towards another package, they stopped communicating and even the corporate office refuses to honor what they said they would do. The person who contacted me on behalf of the CEO was very rude, abrasive in his tone, and basically called me a liar and said I was to blame for losing over a thousand dollars on this booking, even though I was following their directives. He then promptly disconnected the phone, without answering my questions. This was an expensive lesson that I pray others can take heed. Beware because they do not value the customer or honor their agreements. So disappointed in Groupon's travel department.
When I joined Groupon 7 or 8 years ago, it seemed pretty straight forward, $20 certificate for $10 at a local restaurant, good business practice to get people in the door. Now, there is an issue with every interaction, there are no straight forward deals any more, everything has a hidden catch.
I ordered a patio umbrella and later that day a tree fell on my patio so I asked if I could cancel? They emailed me saying they canceled it, and my refund would post in a couple days. Three days later I get an email saying they are so sorry but the item is out of stock, so my shipment wont happen. Again, they said my refund would post a few days... still no refund!
I bought a voucher for "fresh food" to be delivered. The offer, and the voucher said "shipping included" but when I went to the web site to sign up, I had to provide a credit card because they are charging me shipping. They also put me on an auto renewal program.
Virtually every "deal" has "fine print" that contradicts the offering! It's one step short of a full blown scam!
Awful service! I purchased egyptian towels and i received the cheapest looking towels ever. I tried to return them and there is no return for this product. Really? How funny GROUPON takes our money right away but doesnt take customer's feedback nor returns. I will never buy anythingfromthem again. I regret so much to referred my frinedsto purchase onthis website because service is realy bad!
Items not received. All my emails unanswered for months. When they finally responded they Would not refund saying it was too late. Never again. You only get me once..
Love to shop with ideel.com. Their products have good quality and good discount prices. The only thing I find offensive with them is lack of customer service phone contact

Item ordered but never arrived. Phone calls made but only once answered. So unhelpful. Emailed the supplier in Madrid myself ( only advice offered by groupon). Several emails ignored. Useless.
I've only had pretty good experiences with Groupon. Any time I've had an issue, they have resolved it. Great way to save on restaurants, activities and other local services.
Note-- this is my first negative review of a company. BEWARE!
Just a warning to even those of you that think it's great now. Like I had once upon a time:
1. The customer satisfaction pledge is false (which is the reason I felt confident about purchasing a trip from the site. I purchased a trip from a very shady company who did not respond to my efforts to contact and was not as it was advertised. I contacted Groupon 2 days after the purchase for the trip 7 months away, confident that the satisfaction pledge would stand up. No.
2.The customer service is the worst I'd ever seen. Ever. You can only communicate through email, and you only get a canned response (from what I assume is an offshore vendor) is canned and ridiculously irrelevant to your inquiry. There is no phone number, no escalation path- well except for the attorney general, which is now my new path.
3.The Ebates link that advertises cash back. Does not give you cash back, even if it's on the trip you clicked on. The promise of getting cash back is also false. As verified by Ebates.
I had used Groupon for years for local purchases, but will never again. This is the worst experience that I've had with any company of it's size. How can it still be operating?
Ordered something by mistake wanted to cancel few mins later and said I cant cancel cause it shipped will never order again go to eBay a lot better service
Purchased a voucher when on holiday for the Angel Hotel In Cardiff and tried several times to redeem it and book a date for November. Unfortunately the booking process kept failing so tried to sort it out on my computer when I got home only to find the expiry date has now passed and I have lost my money and the voucher. Bouncing!
Customer service do not want to know, even it was their site's fault that I couldn't make the booking.
Will never use them again, and as mentioned above they have gone downhill since covid and turned into a scamming company, hoping people forget or blocking their bookings until after the expiry date. Dreadful customer service and company. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
I recently had the worst online purchase experience ever with Groupon! I bought a cell phone from them only to find out they are shipping it to an address I lived at four years ago. I made sure before purchasing the phone that my address listed on Groupon's site was my current address. When I tried to call them to correct the mistake, I was told that I have two hours to call them about the error. Unfortunately, the confirmation was sent at 1:47 am while I was fast asleep. Mind you, there is still no tracking information posted which most likely means it still hasn't shipped! So I asked "what happens if who ever is living in my old apartment doesn't return it?" Their answer was "it gives you a definite OPPORTUNITY for a refund". What?! So they know they are going to send it to the wrong address and it may never be returned. What are they willing to do to correct this? "We can file a claim and TRY to get you a refund after you wait 7 business days to prove you didn't get it." My only hope is they ship it UPS who may be able to change the ship to address. Wonderful right? I will never buy another thing from Groupon and I sure hope anyone that reads this thinks at least twice before doing so. Oh by the way... there is still no tracking info. Dan in SC
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?

Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.

Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!

I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
