I love me some Groupon but seriously, read ALL the fine print and ask questions before you buy. If you do you should have no issues. I've gotten some awesome deals with Groupon and I love the local feature.
I had about $80 worth of credit on my Ideeli account which has now disappeared. I think everyone here having similar issues we should all become one voice and go after these people legally. Like filing an action lawsuit for stealing people's money. This is absurd.
They should have just said they were closing Ideel since that's what effectively happened. No more Tahari, BCBG, Vinice Camuto and other favorite luxury steals! The Ideel platform with limited quantity and limited time to grab them was unique and felt exclusive. Who wants to see cheap leggings between headphones and a flat iron with "500+ purchased" under it? No thanks.

I loved Ideel and now on Groupon it is just crap I find. No dresses, no Sue Wong. Just crap.
I shopped at Ideel for years and now they are just a pile of Groupon trash. Judging from other reviews, I'm happy I didn't have any credit from Ideel when the switch was made. I wouldn't have even needed store credit back since I wouldn't be able to find anything worth buying on Groupon anyway. I've moved to Hautelook and Gilt, but it's just not the same.
I returned 5 dresses in Jan. 2016. It is now March 4 2016 and I have not been credited. I have the tracking number and have confirmed it was delivered in Jan. Plenty of time to give me my credit. I have tried for weeks to get someone to respond to my emails, no response.Don't even try to call you can not get through on any number. I am very disappointed and feel that Ideeli's customer service is in much need for a new manger. Does anyone know what I can do to get my money back. They have the dresses and my money. Groupon is really a good deal, but you have to watch the small print as the people they present for the "good deals" are sometimes shady. There are hidden charges sometimes or something less than advertised. Groupon usually come to the rescue if they can.
I paid for a pair of SMS HEADPHONES by 50 cent in black. On the day of ordering them I was sent a email with order of conformation which only had half of my address on, so I called them and emailed them to sort the problem out at least 7 times finally I got a email saying they have sorted out the problem.
On the 7 working day I emailed with no reply and I phoned them, when I got hold of them my address was still not on there system.
All this last week I emailed them to find out what was happening I got they was looking into it resolution team was sorting it out. They made me feel as if I've done something wrong but I had prof in a email saying it was there fault and sorry.
So this morning I phoned them again and someone on the team said I would have the headphones by Monday. Later today I got a email saying I can have a refund in groupon credits so I phoned back and as of now I'm getting a refund put back into my account.
GROUPON LIE. Thay say things that are not true thay take your money and you get nothing. All I wanted was the headphones not a refund thay are rubbish NEVER USE THEM THAY LIE AND MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE YOU HAVE DONE SOMTHING WRONG...
I just found out that Ideeli has been acquired by Groupon. I had over $200 in store credit at Ideeli and called Groupon customer service today to inquire about it. Customer service said that they would escalate the situation and do some research and that it would take up to 72 hours for them to get back to me. I asked if there was a way to reach their Ideeli department directly and was told that I couldn't do that. I felt like I was given the run-around, but will give them the benefit of a doubt and wait for 72 hours to see if they respond.
I also tried to email *******@groupon.com like a previous reviewer on this site suggested and got the following error message:

I have 2 pieces of clothing that I had been waiting to hear from Ideel about. All of a sudden they are now Groupon and now telling me that basically I am stuck with these items. The problem was they were both the wrong sizes and I was waiting to hear if they had the correct sizes. Now what do I do? I was a loyal customer and spent thousands of dollars on this site! Purchased $30.00 50% OFF Voucher from Groupon for Body Shop for Christmas. Attended store and most items werer 50% OFF. After picking several sale items, at the cashier, I was advised the 50% voucher was only good on items NOT ON SALE. The stocking stuffer items I wanted, were on sale so I ended up buying useless things so I could us my voucher.
It was stated in the fine print voucher is only good for regular priced items. I would of been better with out it.
2nd Groupon I bought was a colouring book for adults for $9. At a large saving. I paid for the item, but when I got to the shipping page, they chared $15.00 for shipping. I could have bought the book at a store cheaper but because I already paid for the voucher, they had me for the extra $15.00.
When I complained, was advised it was again- in the fine print. Make sure you read all the instructions before paying. Wish there was a way I could of cancelled the order and got my money back. Have not heard from them since...
There was a time when I loved shopping on this website. I got a few good deals and was very pleased, until one day I bought a groupon for a massage and reflexology session. I did not have a chance to use my coupon before it expired (missed it by 2 months) and was told by Groupon.ca that I would not lose this money, and could use the coupon for its face value ($50) at this business, at anytime. One month later, I called to book an appointment and the business had gone under. Contacted Goupon.ca but never got my money back. They basically sold me a coupon for a business that they probably knew was going under in 3 months, and claimed no responsibility. Total rip off! Won't be shopping there again, even if they gave everything for free!
I was a regular shopper in the Ideeli website. I am surprised to see what Google has done since the took over this business. The selection is greatly reduced and the presentation is not nearly as attractive. This would be a hard sell business for Google. I won't be visiting this site any longer.
Hi, I have been a customer of ideeli for 5 years. I always did shopping for myself and friends from this website. I don't know what happened to the old website, the new one is just disappointing. I don't like it!
This is the worst possible service EVER, if I could give it less then -100 I would! Very unhelpful customer service, you wait on the phone hours and then they hang up, deals are a scam. They hold your refund then give excuses. If you're the type to do research and take advice before buying something from a site then take mine DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SITE!

You show no consideration to your loyal customer whom have been with you since the beginning. Groupon and Ideel are like oil and vinegar - it doesn't mix. Those hooker dresses, cheap shoes.

Only two so so experiences. One, I didn't get a gift certificate in a timely manner and I was told to call the restaurant for it. Two, the hair dryer I bought did not have the features groupon claimed. Other than that, all my shopping has been pretty decent on there.
As a Merchant customer I have been trying to change something in my campaign for 2 month. Im still waiting for this person

I cannot believe Groupon would acquire Ideeli to trash it, ruin it completely. I used to buy so much stuff from them, great customer service, fantastic choices, the daily emails were something I looked forward to. Now, it is all gone.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.

Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?

Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
