I have been hooked up to this website since day one. Now several years later I can honestly say it is a complete and utter rip off and a waste of time. If any consumer does their homework you will find that most of the deals they offer are no deals at all. You don't save money at all. By the time you jump through all the stupid conditions to using a groupon or figuring out too late there is an upgrade or some other stupid "CATCH" you just give up on using it. I have not purchased a thing in over 1.5 years but still look at their "DEALS" to laugh.
Here is an example... I just got an email about a nice hotel stay in the country, one nite for $79.00. The catch? You can only stay Sunday to Thursday. No other amenities offered. Where is the deal? This would be a deal if it were a weekend but nobody wants to go to the middle of nowhere during the week! Hotels can't give these rooms away for free! The funny thing is I have been to the town where this deal is offered. THE ENTIRE TOWN is closed Monday and Tuesday and most stores on Wednesday too. Seriously! You would be staying in a ghost town.
Consumers, do your homework before you decide to buy. Figure out what you are really getting because very few businesses can stay in business if they were offering too good to be true deals.
Wife bought tickets for our kids spring break trip to San Diego attractions (coupons was supposed to be good on any parks in San Diego area) we went to Seaworld and imagined our surprised that the ticket was not good. We were told that we should have bought the 3 days trip instead of the 2 days which were not specified in groupons ads. In short, we never used the ticket, and I had to pay cash since we drove from Washington state and we don't want to waste the trip. It's all ok, maybe the wife didn't read the "fine" print but the PROBLEM lies with the refund, it's been 2 weeks and my wife hasn't gotten any refund. We'll never used Groupon again!
Like another reviewer Matt S., I placed an order on 28th Nov for a tablet which was supposed to arrive within 12 working days (16the Dec). Up until now, my order hasn't even shipped. I have been constantly contacting groupon support and getting the same lame answers. As another reviewing also said, I got a dumb a$$ email about "strapping jetpacks on the reindees" a few days 5 days ago saying my order will "ship soon". Still waiting. NEVER will I ever order bfrom them again. Going to try to cancel this order, and it was a gift for my 7 yr old son too. How sad for this company. I am going to let everyone know how horrible they are and to never order from them.
This company are thieves, i recently bought lash serum they have taken my money, but when you go to that company and put in voucher number you are asked to add cookies and all sorts. Emailed Groupon, told to wait for reply ( 3 weeks now) tried to phone and you get cut off, they refuse to answer my emails, am fuming about it. I have repeatedly asked for a response to no avail. BUYERS BEWARE. DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE.
Booked a getaway - 4 nights with flights, hotel and one tour for £269 each - bargain we thought! But when we tried to book with the travel operator today we were told there would be a £150.00 supplement for the dates we wanted. £419 each was much more than we had anticipated paying for our "bargain" weekend away.
I searched around online and discovered that if I booked the flights, hotel and tour separately I could not only do the whole trip for slightly cheaper (£417 each), but get MUCH better value for money - I could get airport transfers, hold luggage and an extra tour all included within that price, which we'd have had to pay extra for with Groupon.
So my advice is only book a getaway with Groupon if you've searched all over the net for a better deal AND you're completely flexible with your dates AND you have phoned the travel company in advance to find out what the supplement is.
I'll now have to go through the hassle of cancelling my Groupon order and getting a refund, which will take about 7 days.
Groupon by far have THE WORST customer service I have EVER come across. They are fine as long as the groupon deal runs smoothly, however if you ever need a refund then this just won't happen, even if it was not your fault (In my case the company did not provide the goods I bought through Groupon...) They make endless promises and never honour them, I'm still waiting for my £20 refund over 3 months later... I'm really unhappy with my experience with Groupon and will NEVER use them again!

I purchased an item on groupon three weeks ago and it hasn't even shipped. Tried contacting customer support and even called 1800 number and no response at all. Three week? Really? I could get mail quick in a third world country. Shame on you Groupon and your groupon CEO. STICK WITH AMAZON PEOPLE. IT"S NOT WORTH THE 3-5% SAVINGS.
More then once I have order a few thing at a suppose price but when items arrive they are not like the picture and made with a cheap material. Not worth spending your money
I have used this site and it's been a money saver for some experiences. It is good for family trips at times, where you get a good deal instead of paying the full price.
My issue with Ideeli is a technical one but I won't start on a sour note: Ideeli has some fabulous deals and I think their return policy is reasonable and fairly easy. One time I needed to return an item, I had exceeded the amount of days allowed to return because I was out of town. I will say that they were not responsive over email. I googled "ideeli" and "phone number" to find their actual customer service line. After leaving a few messages, someone got back to me and they happily agreed to take back the return as a one time courtesy. Now if I have issues or questions I just use their "chat" option. Someone is always available w/ an answer. I think customers have to realize this isn't a huge operation like Gilt where you might get a response more quickly but the items are more expensive. Now for my real gripe. One day I logged on and the images just didn't show up when I clicked products. The "chat" rep informed me that the site does not work w/ any search engines out of date. At work we have to use IE 7 because some of the apps we use are not yet compatible w/ IE 8. To me it's ridiculous to have a site that goes on sale at 11:00 and not make your site accessible to many who are at work and have locked down settings. I really hope Ideeli fixes this soon because I won't be buying anything from them until then.
DON'T USE GROUPON, THEY ARE A BUNCH OF LYING STEALING THIEVES! Good luck getting help with an order than never arrived. It is your problem, you lost my package and you need to replace it or refund my money. NEVER USE THEM FOR ANYTHING, YOU WILL BE SCREWED!
Well I don't know what everyone else is talking about with their issues. But I have NEVER had an issue and when I have I called customer service (friendly by the way) they agreed to refund me my money every time. I highly recommended this site! But MAKE SURE TO READ THE FINE PRINT ON ALL PURCHASES. I can't stress this enough!
If I could go into the negatives I would, Groupon is terrible! They advertised a hotel which the hotel had no vacancies. When my partner and I arrived at the hotel, they explained that they have been booked and they aren't sure why Groupon would be advertising for them. Groupon then proceeded to charge me close to $200.00. I contacted Groupon, they mentioned that it was my "Bank's Fault", so I contacted my bank and they explained that in fact it was a charge made by Groupon. I have dealt with this for four days.
Also this was a mistake on their end (Groupon), they told me I cannot receive MY MONEY back for 7 to 10 days, which makes no sense to me, especially if this was their fault in the first place. I spoke to three different individuals, one being the "Account Manager" Jay, he was not helpful at all, and made my situation worst.
I am not one to post reviews, or to complain but this is absolutely ridiculous.

I'm back with providing feedback on Ideel.com. After many months as a reasonably happy shopper with this website, I have learned that Groupon had recently acquired Ideel.com. Ever since the acquisition, Ideel.com stops responding to emails or Live Chat. If you have customer grievance, good luck to you. Their return policy has changed for the worse, i. E., you no longer get free return shipping for credits. You get original payment back but have to pay a hefty $8.95 return shipping fee. At this point, I cannot get in touch with any customer service agent to even inquire about combining shipping fee for items from different orders. I also received an item whose color is different from the one stated on the website and I cannot get in touch with anyone to inquire about it. And then the return window for this item just closes so quickly and now I'm stuck with the item. Groupon has got their act together faster and get customer service back to an acceptable level at Ideel.com or I'll take my business elsewhere!

My son accidentally purchased two child instead of adults tickets to Universal, for the run around to try and pay difference before wasting a trip to California. No one helped up when I texted last year and this year had to go through two other people to get the assistance we needed. MIND YOU UNIVERSAL ASKED FOR REDEMPTION CODE I finally get from Groupon and now they can't help. This has been a nightmare. No one even cares. They got their money why would they?

Once u see a deal, do little bit of homework go to the company website and see what teh rates are, u are going to save or equal to the price, when groupon says its gooing to be 30-50% off, it isnt actually no more then 5%. Which comes with any normal website.
I have complained to groupon with all the printscreen and website details, not once, twice or thrice but 10 times now and i think they dont really care
Now i get why the company is dying slowly... BEWARE
The items are cute, sure. But don't let ANYTHING be wrong with your order because their customer service is HORRID. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. I'd rather be forced to shop at WalMart for my fashion items than ever deal with these people again. Service is a lost industry people - sometimes a great deal really isn't worth it.

We used the UPS SurePost shipping method which means that that package starts off with UPS and is then transferred to the USPS. There is no possible way to call this company before your cleaning service! ALSO! YOU ARE locked in to monthly service CONTRACT! It's all in the small print. Can't use for move in or move out either. Learned the hard way.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.

Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?

Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
