Purchased tickets for a boat ride in Chicago. Was given a deal but ended up paying twice, once to Groupon and then to Eventbrite. Called several times to both and with each call was told it wasn't their responsibility for the additional charge, or even issuing a refund! I even wrote a letter a letter to Groupon and mailed it to their office. No reply. So for one boat ride for two people I paid over $100.00. Neither company has a telephone number you can call.
Purchased over $109 but merchant wouldn't accept the offer. Groupon staff said wait 72 hours to investigate and they don't give refunds. I had to pay merchant too. I have Groupon documentation. Bank statement that I paid Groupon and Chuck E. Cheese receipt. If anything needs to be investigated…. It's Groupon
They lied and offered a Groupon in my area but it turns out it was for a completely different state and now they will not refund or credit my account. I can't even use the voucher! This is bull$#*! and they even lied and said they can't refund see where the purchase was made and named a completely wrong state and address, like I live in Colorado and made the purchase from home. I also fall in the 3 day refund policy and they still won't credit me or refund my money. Scammers and liars. They stole from me with false advertising and information
I purchased a copy of Windows 11 and received the email to confirm the sale. No voucher arrived in my account. I replied to the confirmation email and the message was blocked by Groupon? I tried the "Contact Us" option but you need to choose a purchased item. As the item was not in my account, I cannot even contact them to report the matter!
Groupon are absolutely thieves. I purchased tickets to Aquatica through their website, unbeknownst to me what was to come afterwards. Apparently due to a keying error by one letter of my email, the tickets were sent to an incorrect email account. As soon as I made the purchase and didn't receive a confirmation email, I knew something was wrong. From that point, I spent several and I do mean several minutes searching their website looking for ways to contact customer service and eventually found out there isn't any for actual paying customers, only merchants. I finally came across an obscure, well hidden link in which I could email the company about an issue that was related to payments. Which btw, they charged my card twice right upfront. So I email them and explain my issues including the double charge and a few hours later a rep emailed me back assuring me he would look into everything and help me with this issue. To make a very long story short, he did nothing but gaslight me. Confirming he could see the tickets but he was not able to send them to the correct email address. He then stoked the flames more by telling me I could recover those tickets by creating an account and linking the incorrect email to the new account and I would be able to recover the tickets they way. Impossible as a password was needed to access the incorrect email which I would not have because the email does not belong to me. After I realized this was going nowhere, I disputed the charges through my bank only to have Groupon reject my dispute. I am out $512. They know I can't access the tickets yet they want to proudly boast all sales are final and no refunds. It's insane because I never ever received the purchase to begin with so they have a free $512 and the tickets. Seems their business model only consists of theft and deception. I am anticipating the day this company goes totally out of business, never to be heard or thought of again.
Absolutely HORRIBLE ongoing experience. I purchased a service that could not be used in my area, even though Groupon sent me the ad for it. The company stated to request a refund through Groupon and they would honor it. 2 months later after requesting the refund, having to dispute the charge with my bank, Groupon is still refusing to refund my money. I have it in writing where they agreed to, but are now holding my money because I filed a dispute... which they advised me to do to speed up the process. This is completely unacceptable and I will NEVER use Groupon again and strongly advise everyone else to be ware of these practices.
I have no intention of wasting any more money on this scam site but im stuck with groupon bucks since they dont give refunds. I never would have purchased from them had i known
I should have known. Ultimately my fault. If the deal is to good to be true. I got scammed and you will too. Best part is the representative that emailed was completely RUDE and blamed me. Go to a legit site, spend the extra money and avoid this trashy site. Complete garbage.
I HATE groupon! They have charged me twice for something that i only purchased once and you CANNOT correct this. You CANNOT talk to ANYONE! They just keep sending you to customer support that has lists of topics that you an select, of course, nothing about this! And now it's going to expire and with it, any hopes of a refund. You know what? It didn't have to be a refund. They could have given me another voucher
Groupon's telephone system now blocks ALL calls for customer support. I ordered 18 bottles of wine for a FUNDRAISER for animals... all proceeds go to the care of cats and dogs. My order was not delivered and there is no way to contact Groupon by phone. Groupon CS is SOOO poor. Stay the heck away from Groupon. The public ratings from customers is between 1 to 1.5 stars out of 5... VERY POOR.
I'm reaching out regarding some ongoing challenges we're facing with Groupon on the business side. We currently have an active Groupon offer, but there's no way for us to verify the legitimacy of a voucher through our customer management software (CMS). I've requested that Groupon provide a method or API for us to validate vouchers through our CMS, but they've declined. I've also contacted our account manager, David Sprowl, asking to be connected with someone who can help us resolve this issue. Unfortunately, he has not escalated the matter and seems to be functioning as a gatekeeper. Despite several attempts to reach someone else—by phone and through alternate emails—everything continues to route back to Mr. Sprowl, who has been unable or unwilling to assist further. This lack of access to voucher validation is a serious issue. We've already encountered cases of fake Groupons, which are damaging to our business. In addition, if there is even a minor typo in the code we submit for redemption, the payment is denied and we receive no compensation for that customer. We're truly at our wits' end and would appreciate any assistance or guidance you can offer to help us move this forward. We want to continue offering deals through Groupon, but we need a more reliable and secure system in place to protect both our business and our customers. Thank you for your time and help.
I will never use Groupon again. I've been a customer for over 15 years and have 40 unused Groupons that they've already profited from. Recently, I accidentally purchased the wrong concealed carry course—I needed the more expensive in-person option. I realized the mistake as the payment was processing and contacted Groupon immediately, but they refused to issue a refund so I could buy the correct one. After all the money I've spent with them, this is how they treat their customers? Their customer service is terrible. I will never purchase from them again, and my family has also deleted the app and stopped supporting them. They can keep their awful policies—I'm done.
Don't waist your money on any purchases on this site. They're offering the worst selection of service and you are disappointed with your purchase there is no way for you to complaining about it because they are not answering your emails and they are not providing any customer service phone number as well.
I called Monro Tire Center first I have a 2023 Kia Forte GT Line for a front end alignment my appointment was for February 28,2025 11:00am then I purchased my Groupon Card. I arrived Monro Tire Center and the manager said we can't align a 2023 Kia because or cameras an sensors
Groupon will not refund my $70.00 They want to give me Groupon Credit. No way I said refund my money. Groupon said no
If you purchase a voucher from this company and the merchant refuses it they will not refund your money after 3 days. What company operates that way. I'll tell you one that is going out of business so beware that your voucher will not work and no refund!
I purchased a laser hair removal service through Groupon for $350 on 12/1 and was immediately charged but never received my Groupon. It was never emailed to me nor does it show within my account. I attempted to get in contact with customer service which is non existent, and had to send an email which was never responded to. I disputed the charge with my bank but Groupon claims that I was sent the voucher so my bank reversed the claim and allowed Groupon to charge me $350 for a service I never received. I have been fighting this since 12/1 and have yet to get an answer from Groupon and essentially got $350 stolen from me. 0/5
I purchase a coupon thru Groupon for an oil change at Mountain View Tire & Auto Service, at their Burbank, CA location. I had an appointment for 1/30/2024 at 2PM. I got there on time and was total I'd have to wait for up to 4 hours (6 o'clock at night) Total them this was unacceptable and to cancel everything.
I've attempted to get a refund on the CC I'd used with Groupon. There are no phone numbers to reach Groupon, just file a complaint on their website and they'll get back to you within 30 days. The 30 days has since passed and have not received a reply.
I will never use Groupon again nor go to a Mountain
Terrible online system, non existent customer service are the 2 ways that describe this company. They don't seem to ascertain that their vendors follow ethical practices and if a customer ends up with one such merchant, Groupon backs away taking no responsibility. Would recommend everyone to STAY AWAY from Groupon. No wonder the company is being treated shabbily by Wallstreet. They deserve this and much more.
Like many web based companies, Groupon offers NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Unless "there's a button for that" or AI can handle your inquiry, they are useless. I spent hours going in circles to resolve what should have been a simple issue - - - to date I have received multiple emails advising me how customer focused they are and how they want to help but not a single step towards resolving my issue. I highly doubt I will ever use this company again and I am pretty certain I will be telling everyone of my poor experience.
I purchased 3 Luzia Cirque Du Soleil tickets for Saturday March 15th, 2025 instead of Saturday March 22,2025 by accident. I did it late at night and when tired and simply clicked on the wrong Saturday. I realized my mistake immediately after purchase, I mean within minutes after opening the voucher and right away went to cancel the order and was unable to do so. Groupon is supposed to have a 3 day return policy. My chat experience and then emails from supervisors have been robot like in their answers to the point that I wonder if AI is responding to me instead of a human being. You can not reach anyone in person when you call their Customer support number which has a recorded message that all support is done online. This experience has been a nightmare and hours of my time have been wasted trying to get someone to give me exchange bucks for my order so that I can purchase tickets for the right date. I don't want a refund just an exchange. Everyone makes a mistake sometimes and what happened to their 3 days return policy? This has caused me so much stress. Their customer support deserves 0/5.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?
Answer: Groupon usually sends a tracking # via email If not do as the other people suggested, check My Groupons
Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.
Answer: I personally do not trust groupon. The question previous to yours printed on this site should answer your question as to its reliaiblity
Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
