“Very poor business practices”

Although I had no difficulties with the webhosting service, their customer service turned into a nightmare when I decided not to renew. They phoned me three weeks prior to my renewal date. When I heard the cost for renewal, I said "Absolutely not!" They sent me a curt email offering a slightly reduced price for "24 hours only" with a kind of nasty tone that the offer would disappear. I didn't respond since I had decided not to renew. My account had a big banner on it saying they did not have any billing info, and that I needed to provide it. Since I had not intention of renewing... Twenty-four hours prior to the expiration of what I had paid for, they billed my expired Visa card $550CA for 3 more years of service. I noticed this and contacted them within about 6 hours. Over several frustrating days, the best solution they offered was that I would fill out a cancellation document, they would immediately and permanently disable my site, and they would then decide what, if any money they would refund to me. My bank reversed the Visa charge. I never went into the control panel again. I did not renew my domain name and so my site went down. It took GreenGeeks 6 months to realize they did not have my money, at which point they demanded I pay or they would shut down my site. Idiots.

Tip for consumers:
Although I was pleased with my initial purchase of 3 years of hosting, their cancelation process at the end of that 3 years is hidden in the fine print allowing them to charge a renewal unexpectedly for whatever term you initially purchased. They then totally refuse to refund the charge.

This is hands down the worst most nonprofessional hosting service I've ever worked with!
I joined them to support Canadian companies, which is, unfortunately, my Country, but it was a huge mistake!
Don't get fooled by all the offers they give you when you first sign up! Just after you go through the first year with them, they'll change completely!
First they disabled all my websites due to concerns of malware! I thought that's fine to protect the server. I chatted with their customer service, and they said they'll take care of everything.
5 minutes later they emailed me saying I have to take care of all malware and delete it! They couldn't help me with that! $#*!in garbage service!

Then a few days later they send me an email saying I've exceeded my inodes threshold which I didn't even know what it was! The email said if you need our help reply to us! So I did reply asking for help!
They emailed me saying that I have to deal with this on my own, and gave me some options. They also threatened me if I continue to exceed my inodes threshold they should suspend my account!

Do not go for this service ever! They are very unprofessional and not even cheap!

Seems like a total scam to me. Do not truck them with any of your information.

Scam. Don't trust them with anything personal or important. They pay people to write 'good' reviews, they are not green in anyway. It's all a cash generator for them. Spend your money elsewhere.
