Green chef now has a QR code on their bags of food that leads you to a app call BIGO LIVE that is a hook up app for young people. Young women are in scantly dresses. WTF Here is a write up on BIGO LIVE.
Parents need to know BIGO LIVE - Live Stream is a free app that lets users make video blogs or livestream their activities with the object of monetizing their videos. Live streamers receive live commentary from other users, and the app lets you search for nearby users
The app stresses on connecting with strangers is a major red flag that this app is not safe for kids. Content on the app is almost always mature, inappropriate, vulgar, and violent. The app counts on its AI to verify a user's age, which can be bypassed somewhat easily.
The executive who decided to promote this app on their packaging is an idiot and should be fired. What were they thinking?
If I could give a company ZERO STARS I would. I ordered this service just for one week to give it a try and canceled my subscriptions so that I would not receive any further orders. I never received a confirmation email of my subscription or my cancellation. They sent me a box and refusing to reimburse me my money, they would not connect me to a manager right away, they would not provide a link for reviews, and they would not provide a copy of the date and time stamped confirmation email they said I received. The meals were not two portions, and they weren't even that good. The absolute worst customer service I have ever received, and this company steals your money. THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY.
The food is good but the portions for 2 grown adults are so small and I'm not a big person I only weigh 105lbs and it doesn't fill me up at all I can eat the whole portion ment for 2
I never order anything from Green Chef but received a bill of $202.86 below. I don't even know this company. How did they get my email?
Hello fresh came to my office to talk to staff about their product. I was excited when I found they have a vegan option through Green Chef. The Representative Lauren told me that I would be getting a discount if I signed up that day and that when I were ready to order the food I would already be set up. I gave her my credit card and told her that I would review the meals to see what I liked and then eventually order. The very next day my card was charged almost $80! I hadn't picked any meals or anything! There was no discounts just lied. I called customer service and they informed me that I would be getting my box on Monday. I explained to them (all through enail) what happened and that I wanted to cancel because I was misled and how could they be delivering food that I did not order. I get another enail apologizing and saying that my order would be canceled along with the service. Her I am at day 5 no refund. If they ever want to come to your office to offer your employees anything DO NOT DO IT! The Reps that they have working for them are obviously desperate to make sales and will lie to do it. It is very disappointing.
I wanted to try Green Chef and had to sign up before selecting the meals I wanted. Then I discovered how limited the menu was for vegan and gluten-free meals, so I canceled my account and did not place an order. I never received any confirmation or cancellation emails. About a week later, a package arrived at our doorstep from Green Chef with three meals I didn't order. While they were all vegan, one of them was not gluten free. I called their customer service, and the agent could see that the error was on their side and that I shouldn't have been charged or sent a box. There is no way to return the order, and the agent didn't have the authority to refund my purchase. He said he would check with his manager and email me the following day. No response. Meanwhile, since we couldn't return the meals, I cooked them and found them all disappointing (one was embarrassingly bad). All three meals had kale in them as the green vegetable, as if kale is the only thing vegans will eat. The sauces were too salty, and some of the produce wasn't very fresh. Never again! I have disputed the charge on my credit card since I never actually placed the order but was charged for it.
I have so many photos to show the poor quality of ingredients and won't even begin to explain how many brown bags were missing ingredients. The first meal I was to prep has only 3 of 10 ingredients By day 3 after canceling of course I opened a bag to find disgusting rotted kale and mushed artichokes. It's just awful and I have used two other services and did not experience anything this disappointing. Called customer service and he was very apologetic polite and gave me a whopping $40 credit for future purchases of course and I had ordered 6 meals for this first delivery. The very last photo shows ingredients for the Salmon Red Peppers and Olives recipe which had only 3 of the 10 ingredients but they kindly substituted a potato, 2 radishes, a bag of mushy peas and some honey mustard dressing which would not produce this recipe. I had to laugh after I was so furious. A Kindergartener could likely sort and compile the ingredients for each meal and wouldn't include molded onion, brown artichokes, rotten kale with slime etc. need I say more
I CALLED AND CANCELED THEY STILL SENT ME A ORDER WHICH I DID NOT ORDER IT WAS PORK AND CHILE AND DIARY WHICH I DO NOT EAT... AFTER I CANCELED FOR THE SECOND TIME THEY CHARGE MY CREIT CARD AGAIN SO WE REPORTED THEM TO MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS CRAZY BEHAVIOR THIS COMPANY WILL NOT LAST LONG TREATING CLIENT IN THIS BEHAVIOR... SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE!
I just received my first order and the food was spoiled. The cheese has visible mold on it. I will never use this company again.
Cancelling took me two attempts and at least 25 mins.
Avoid at all costs.
You can't just click a button like normal companies.
My wife tried it; then, couldn't cancel. Once they get a hold of your credit card they won't let go.
I Cancled with plenty of time before the cut off. They billed me via PayPal for the initial $36 charge as a friend gifted us a week with them. Their food is vastly overpriced. I can fill a grocery cart at any Krogers, Meijers, Publix, even half a cart at a Whole Foods, or you can get one box from this supremely dishonest organization. The representatives can't do anything but offer a refund that will take up to 2 weeks. Why are you so dishonest GreenChef? If someone canceled they obviously want to break up with you; that means STOP BILLING US, not steal money out of our account like a thief at night. Your system sucks. Your business model sucks. Your 1st level reps and their supervisors suck. I will be leaving bad reviews on any and all platform and filing a better business beureu complaint as well as filing a fraudulent transaction report with both PayPal and my bank that they billed through. You let your cancelation process take longer like Bank of America is known to do where if you deposit a check they'll run all the transactions first to make sure to trigger overdrafts. This is how bad businesses operate; ones that don't care about their customers.
Green Chef STOLE my money. I prepaid on Groupon for two weeks of Green Chef food. The first week I received the box and everything was fine, the second week I skipped (as I was not needing food that week) and the third week I chose to have my second and final order sent to me that I had already paid for on Groupon.
At first, Green Chef tried to charge my card $370, but my card stopped it as the charge was supposed to be waived as I brought two weeks of food.
I called GC and asked why were they trying to charge me $370 for my second week of delivery and they said it was a mistake and that because I skipped a week of delivery, it invalidates my Groupon. Nowhere on the Groupon does it say that if you skip a week, it counts as a delivery even if you do not receive any food. The customer service rep assured me the policy was not listed on the Groupon, he would waive the issue, let his managers know and that he fixed the issue and I would receive my box that I pre-paid for (which was not cheap). I downloaded this online chat conversation to my laptop as proof as well.
I called a second time that day to talk to a different rep to make sure the problem was fixed and they told me I would receive my box I paid for. The second rep assured me I would.
The next day I received an email about my box saying I would not receive it after talking to TWO reps who assured me I would receive it. I called Green Chef again today and another rep said that I would not be receiving my box because I brought it through a Groupon and they "do not have to honor that." He also told me I wouldn't be receiving the second box I paid for and couldn't tell me why, but just said there is nothing he can do about it. I asked to speak to a manager and he hung up on me.
I WAS VERY DISSAPOINTED WITH THIS SERVICES. I WISH I WOULD HAVE STOP WHEN THEY ASK FOR MY CREDIT CARD TO EVEN SEE THE MENU. THE FOOD WAS NASTY, AND I DON'T WANT THEM ANY MORE. BAD SERVICE.
Completely disappointed in the quality of meat, the peppers were slimy, and tiny portions. Cancelled!
We have been sampling the various meal kit boxes. Husband is an executive trained chef and I am not. As I am home most days and work part-time, I prepare dinner 3-4 nights a week. The boxes really help out with this task! When googling for 'Organic Meal box delivery' several come up, such as HungryRoot and Green Chef. I am finding not all ingredients are organic (or wild crafted). We cancelled HR due to Canola Oil in so much of their stuff and receiving s lot of conventional produce, no thank you. It isn't helping us to toss out the conventional foodstuffs because they are non-organic, right? Firstly, Green Chef is absolutely a level above HR in flavor profiles and produce. The plant-based/vegan options appear to be predominately organic. I wish there were ways to order ONE meal for one person and another for another member of the household who perhaps wants meat but the other is Vegan. Most recently, I ordered the steak and shrimp for my husband who stated it was tasty! That said, the meat was not grass-fed, organic etc. When my husband buys meats, he buys organic, wild, or Halal, and grass-fed, so this was a step down but much higher cost. We sprung for ricotta pancakes for a weekend brunch at $26 for two people and that was very disappointing in that every ingredient was conventional, non-organic. Again, we would never not buy organic flour, eggs, dairy...so that was tossed and wasted...and very expensive. We absolutely have been enjoying their vegan meals, which is what we signed up for and MOST of those ingredients have been organic. One of the most troubling things is that there is no easy way to review or ask a question about your meal, talk about an issue, etc, on the site. If your tomatoes were wrinkled, your lemon soggy, the ingredients not organic etc, there isn't a way to really easily inform anyone and get credit. So, I am putting my 2 cents here where I can speak my mind.
I've tried Home Chef, Blue Apron, and Green Chef. Green Chef is by far the best in terms of quality, variety, nutrition, and portion size. They offer so many more ingredients and flavors mixed together in ways that would be more expensive to build from scratch. And they aren't tricking you with fatty "flavors" by drowning simple ingredients in cheap cheeses and creams. I tried Green Chef because they are the only self-cooking service with a gourmet vegan option that delivers to my zip code. I'm so glad, because the competitors now seem boring and overpriced in terms of quality/serving size. Yes, Green Chef is a little pricier per serving than the competitors, but take the time to research their ingredients versus the others. And they do nice things like pre-dice the onions. Whoever said their packaging is worse, it's so not. It's mostly biodegradable and color-coded. Plus when I cook I can say, "Hey honey, tonight we're having pineapple tofu kabobs dipped in teriyaki sauce over a bed of black Thai rice noodles, cashews, garlic, mushrooms, bok choy, onions and garlic, carrots, and cabbage topped with a pineapple Sriracha dressing." He's nearly a carnivore, but now says "I love tempeh!" and looks forward to Green Chef as much as I do. I feel like a gourmet chef, and my cooking skills have excelled. Thank you, Green Chef!
I use them once a month and have had no problems with them. It nice to have everything ready to cook.
Answer: Good luck cancelling. I tried to do so a week prior to scheduled delivery with no success.
Answer: Join the club. They are scam artists, who are not very artistic at that. Just scammers...
Answer: Green chef and Hello Fresh are the same company. There are many food delivery options available at varying price points. I plan to try a company called Trifecta next as they are advertised as higher quality and better options to customize meals, to avoid food allergens for example.
Green Chef has a rating of 1.3 stars from 176 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Green Chef most frequently mention customer service, credit card and second box. Green Chef ranks 167th among Food Delivery sites.
