Legal proceedings begin tomorrow after a flight they cancelled in September with no compensation to follow. 6 months of documentation will be filed with Small Claims Court. Blatant robbery - will do everything in my legal power to help take this company down.

Horrible
August 12, 2020

I just booked a flight for 2 people and only hours later had to remove one of the passengers. The airline would give a full refund but gotogate wants to charge $71 on a $101 ticket. Nowhere does their site say a 71% fee for cancel/change.

Doesn't even deserve the 1 star. Words can't describe how awful, stressful and disgraceful this company are. Messed up their end, countless times they told me they'd ring back, they didn't. Messed up their end by accidentally cancelling the flight, not admitting it and went to the airport unknowing if we were actually going to make it. They do not care about you, messed up absolutely everything and I strongly advise no one ever to use this company. A holiday should be relaxing not the complete opposite. How awful to tell your kids at the airport that go to gate have messed up our flight and we can't go on holiday. Customer service is shocking and disgraceful. I strongly advise anyone to never ever go through this company. Worst company out there. No one use if you're actually wanting a stress free holiday- or a holiday at all for that matter.

GOTOGATE A BIG SCAM
November 21, 2020

GOTOGATE booked ticket via a route which was not allowed destination country and airport authority declined me to board.
Return flight was also not showing in the airline itinerary but gotogate provided a confirmed ticket.
They never returned ticket cost and never cancelled all they said that it is mistake of Airline, airline people are not aware of rules.
Furthermore you need to wait minimum 30-40 minutes for single call or 1-2 days for email reply so no urgent help available.
If someone know a way I can make a complaint against them in Canada then please let me know I have all proof and call recordings.

They booked me on a flight that did not exist, just to get my business. Showed up to the airport to find out that Flare Air does not fly on Sundays. They felt it was okay to advertise and sell me a flight that didn't exist and stick me on a flight on Monday instead. They refused any kind of refund for me having to deal with this inconvenience as they stated I cancelled the flight and that goes against the return policy. Please book directly through the airline to avoid these major mess ups. The amount you save will never be worth the hassle. I feel there should be a class action lawsuit against this company and others like it.

Extremely poor customer service

I have booked with gotogate previously with no issues, however on my last booking the airline cancelled our flights. The airline message gave me options but would have to contact the agent if I want a refund, I have asked for a refund by their contact form and have not received a reply (only an automated one). I have tried many times to ring waiting hours on end to get through, one said my flight was not cancelled, then put in queue again and phone call dropped. Do some research, there are many similar cases waiting with no real customer service, particularly with the current covid situation putting a stain on the travel industry as a whole. Back to booking direct with the airline otherwise you will be taking a gamble.

My flight was meant to be 89 euro (because it stated, if paid by visa debit)
I PAID IT THAT WAY, and they charged me full price 124.99 euro.

Their number is out of service.
Their chats are BOTS, and if you do get a human, it's just a repeat of conversation.
No email contact. There is this one: *******@support.uk.gotogate.com
(but same repeated responses to no solution or avail)

No refund link.

All in all, scam unfortunately.

GoToGate attempted to help this customer through the Sitejabber Resolution Center, but the customer did not respond

I booked a flight through Gotogate. There was a stopover in London where I had to change airports (Gatwick to Heathrow) that was impossible to make. The change of airport was very well hidden when you purchase the tickets

I informed them of this issue as it seemed like an error on their part. They told me that it was not possible to make the flight and they will not be refunding me.

Support was incredibly rude. If you chose to do business with them be prepared. You may end up paying for nothing

SCAM. DO NOT USE

#gotogate: Watch-out. Do not use them. This is a scam. They changed our flights without any warning (and at a different date. The tickets are useless). We asked for a refund, and after many emails/communications nothing happened. They refused (and this was several months ago).

This site is a complete scam and will take your money quickly but when it comes to refunding after you cancel a ticket they will string you along for months.

Same as all other reviews, avoid at all costs your refund will never be processed

Scammers

Don't ever use their website or book a flight with them. Nothing but scammers. Had a family member pass away and they charge $71 just to get a refund. Never again. No sympathy, don't want to work with you at all.

This is the worst travel agency I have dealt with.

We had a flexible ticket booked with them, but when we tried to change the booking, they put a remarkably larger difference in price, way higher than the original ticket price on the airline website.

Every time I call them, I find they give a different, higher price by £100, even though the flight's original price doesn't change between two days!

They are a fraudulent company. Never deal with them.

Their customer service is the worst too. They don't help at all. When I ask about the price breakdown to understand where this difference is coming from, they refuse to answer properly.

It is scam!

Don't trust them. They will not reveal handling fees in their terms and conditions or on call. But if you will cancel or make changes they will deduct more than 50% and then there is no resolution for your problem. My experience is worst with them. Please book directly through airline rather than giving them your money. They are no help at all.

Too many ways to charge the passenger more money. I had to go through lots of questions and tries to finish the reservation. Also, a charge of $53 just to book any seat is terrible for each way. People are not stupid!

No customer service. Even if the airlines has processed the refund and confirmed me many times that the money is paid back to travel agent. They wont refund it to me at all. Its been more than 1 month I have been waiting for my money. Like thieves they will just shamelessly keep you money. In my case it was more than USD $ 2500

THE WORST COMPANY IN THE WORLD!

I purchased the absolute MAXIMUM in every insurance category because I was travelling with very expensive computer equipment for work and everything arrived broken. It's been two months and they haven't responded to my claim, nor can I reach anyone on the phone after 20 phone calls and emails. I'm not giving up. I'm tasked one of my employees to destroy them in every travel forum and review site online. Only in AMERICA can $#*! companies like this exist. This was for my ticket and AA/Japan Airline made me pay another $500+ for one extra suitcase that was 23kg. On an international flight from Bangkok to Toronto. I was told that the insurance only covers Americans. So they will not honour it. Then why did you sell it to me?

After waiting for two hours to try to change the destination on my "flexible fare" which cost an extra $60, I am now being told that I can't change the destination, only the date and time. You can book directly and get much better service for much less money. Please do not waste your time. I'm sorry that I didn't see this site before I handed them my money. Live and learn.

This is the most disappointing airline service

This is the most disappointing airline service. I had to change the dates of my flights, so this person told me that I would have to pay an extra $160 for that. Then, I purchased their platinum package to avoid the additional fees. Because they have mentioned that they will not charge an administration fee if you bought a platinum package. But after that, they said I'll have to pay $212 extra for the changes? What is wrong with these people?

My flights of €3,000 were cancelled in April 2020. It is now June 2021 and no refund has been refused. Gotogate do not accept queries or complaints. They say they are guaranteed etc. but refuse to refund what the airline refunded to then which is dishonest. I would not book with them again and advise others not to book with them
