This company is inept, has poor customer service and finally lost my package. They notified me 3 times that they had missed the deadline to get my Dyson package on the truck. Then they notified me that the package had been delivered to my house. It wasn't. When I contacted the company the virtual assistant said - it was lost. Then they cut me off.
If you live in a gated community they'd rather not deliver the package if the gate is closed, rather than trying to get ahold of you and asking to open the gate they'd rather just not deliver the package instead cause a gate is a massive issue apparently.
I've seen UPS, Amazon, FedEx, and much more wait at the gate for someone to open it for them. Baffles me how a gate instantly tells you to turn around and say that the delivery was unsuccessful. This comes to show how they care for their customers' packages.
Worst shipping company and worst customer service of any company I've ever dealt with. My very important documents were overnighted to me, but never showed up. I've been trying to reach customer service for over a hour by phone and chat and I can't reach anyone.
I was first told me order would be delivered two weeks ago Friday. Claimed failed to deliver since I "wasn't home" although I definitely was and did t even see or hear anyone pull up. They then told me next Friday. No luck there. It is now Monday I set aside my morning because they said delivery between 8am to 12pm it is now almost 4pm I'm just sitting in my living room waiting customer support keeps pushing the "garunteed arrival time later and later. If it's not here by 4 I won't be able to get it once again and will be forced to go through the hassle of a refund.
Let me start by saying I've worked in logistics for over 8 years, and this company is beyond pathetic.
My order was supposed to be delivered on a Saturday. I received a text at 12:47pm telling me that my package was out for delivery. I never received a text nor call, nor attempt, but now the delivery status is changed to Monday and it says they attempted the delivery at 1:26pm. I have been waiting on the delivery all week. Last week, this same package was delivered to another address, signed for by another person, and I never received it. This time I was not notified of the attempt. Needless to say, I am VERY unsatisfied with this pathetic service.
The package was never delivered, neither to my house nor at the remote library where they later said they would drop it.
At first I received a message saying when they were coming home, so I organised to be there, then I received a few hours later another message saying that "due to technical reasons", they could not deliver it.
A few days later I received a message saying my package was available in a library 3 km away from my home. So I went there the next day but it wasn't there. I called the library a few times the following cays but my package had never arrived.
The librarian said it was a frequent problem with GLS (in Brussels at least).
I send a mail to GLS but they never replied.
I sent many emails to the company I had ordered from, but they were unable to do something useful.
And 2 weeks later they told me that my package had been returned (and I got refunded).
It is a shame that such an inept company is still in business.
Purchased items from 2 different companies and both companies make the mistake of using GSL Shipping. Packages have been sitting in Portland since July 7th and today is July 29th. Customer service is terrible. Long hold times on the phone and no answers. Chat service is just as bad. If you are a company selling and shipping products I recommend you do not use GSL. They will quickly become a reflection of your company.
You will be waiting in your house the full day waiting for them to ring the bell and then you will realise that they say that you were not there in their webpage... not even calling the bell/phone. And if you try to contact the client service, nobody knows anything, phones doesn't exist and you will just keep losing time trying to reach an answer that doesn't exist. Hope they burn in hell.
…when they lost the package, fine it's happening. We are humans…. But to solving that!… and that where started my "Golgota" several weeks of "searching"… dozens of calls back-and-forth dozens emails back and forth week by week, you have to proof that simple thing again and again; you sent the package, and how much worth it… in my case was easier because that's was a wrist watch -selling through a big international "usedwatchselling" comany… several different statement printed out, filled out, sent back …and the weeks just flying away and still nothing…
I feel bad even giving this company 1 star- they deserve a ZERO! Tracking stated an unsafe to deliver, no one even came to our house. I was home ALL day and have a ring camera. When I called they said the driver got lost. No phone call?! The seiver doesn't have your number. I request a Sat they will request and if they can deliver the driver will call me. But wait they just said the driver doesn't have my phone number.
I ask why the package now shows its in a city 2 hiurs away. They tell me its not.
So bottom line - their tracking system doesn't match that they tell you and the driver falsified his attempt to deliver with false information about being unsafe to deliver. And they lie to you as well on the phone.
DON'T USE this company and if you are buying from a company that uses them reconsider where you are buying from to insure you get your package!
Had contacted Eurosender to pick up a parcel in Paris. They seem to subcontract GLS (and that already didn't feel good). After receiving a confirmation for the requested pick up day, I asked my Paris contact to be available for handing over the parcel. She stayed home all day and GLS simply sint show up. Their track and trace "service" provides not reason and no alternative day/location. Simply HORRIBLE service!
I had a package sent to me from Directv via GLS. This is the first time they've used GLS to deliver anything for me. I was expecting the package on 3/27 and when I checked the tracking it would say Del Resched - no del attempt made. I called GLS to verify what the problem was and they gave me the address they had was incorrect. I told them the correct address and it still hasn't been corrected. I was told via email they lost my package and I had to contact Directv.
Terrible shipping company ever! I have experienced GLS three times and all three times they sent my packages to the GLS shop and requested me to pick them up with a message that they couldn't reach out to me, although I was at home all day long to wait for them. A big liar!
Delivery on the first day failed because I was not at home. So, i changed the settings in my account, stating that I allow my package to be left either in the mailbox or in front of the house door. Delivery on the second day, I decided to stay in and wait for the package just in case. Scheduled delivery time was 12.15-1pm. I tracked the package using my tracking number and the time just kept getting delayed. Finally, around 4pm, the page suddenly showed that my package cannot be delivered because the recipient is not in, and now I have to collect the package myself from their shop which is 5km away. The deliverer had not rung the doorbell nor tried to contact me in any way. Called their service hotline and the guy just kept insisting that there is nothing he can do (I requested for another delivery - even said the delivery could be next week), but he said he is unable to see who was the driver and also cannot schedule a new delivery. Completely terrible service.
This is my first time with GLS and they lost my items and made my items late for a week and it's been more then a week and they didn't find my items yet. I don't recommend GLS. There is ups and FedEx is way better
I have been receiving Hello Fresh deliveries for over a year and when my food is delivered by GLS it is always late. A few times it has never even made it to me. Here is the kicker... when my Hello Fresh order is delivered by UPS, it is ALWAYS on time! Thank you UPS! I keep trying to suggest that Hello Fresh no longer uses GLS as a delivery service. This is really out of my control, but if you have a choice in delivery providers, do not use GLS.
After 3 months of trying to get GSL to put my packages by my door, and not by the road, I'm beyond frustrated! I do business with Shield Healthcare in California, and they use GSL for their shipping. They switched from "OnTrac" which they had before with no problems. GSL is inept at best. I phone them to wait almost an hour to talk to a customer service agent, and finally get someone overseas that hardly speaks English. I ask to be transferred to a US agent, only to wait another 39 minutes, and then disconnected. I called my provider (Shield Healthcare) and they can do very little about GSL shipping (even though they chose them to save a few bucks. I got one thing to say….ITS NOT WORKING!" I've never heard of this company before, and now I'm sorry I have.
If you shop allot online (as I do), check their shipper. If it's GSL, run as fast as you can AWAY!
Never thought I would miss FedEx, but GSL has lowered the bar considerably. Tried to chat with an "expert" to find out some sort of actual pending delivery date (they, literally, have 12/31/0 as a pending date.), I waited *******@6-8 minutes, she entered the chat, I typed out a message about ten lines long, sent it and... agent had closed the chat 2 minutes after she opened it due to "no response". $@#%!. Tried again and was never able to get an agent to "chat" with. Last package they delivered to me (late, of course!) was dropped off at almost 7pm by someone in a random minivan, wearing what I took to be crossing guard vests, who, instead of getting a signature, took my picture with no warning after they handed me the parcel. What kind of rinky-dink, fly-by-night outfit is this? I almost laughed in their face it was so weird. It's like they're playing dress up... maybe tomorrow they'll be astronauts ;)
Don't waste your time and money for this company.

There is not even one good thing that I could tell about this company.
It took them A MONTH to pick up the parcel. After 6 attempts arriving on time they finally did pick it up and then they lost the parcel.
People who are answering the phone are not able to find the parcel using three tracking codes that I was given.

This is the absolute worst company.
They have people who answer phones who have NO IDEA what's going on and can't actually do anything to help you.
I have a package I tracked that read -
"The parcel could not be delivered as further address information is needed"
There was no info on how to contact them to confirm my address so I searched and found a number. They couldn't do anything at all.
Now for the last week it updates every couple of days and keeps saying -
"The parcel is stored in the parcel center"
But when I call they can't access it or do anything.
There's more but you get the idea.
