GLS is terrible! Incompentent drivers and not enough agents in customer service. No way to contact the local office. Just a nation wide number that they never answer. If you want your parcel delivered, do not used this carrier
100% agree with all of these terrible reviews. They constantly give excuses as to why they can't deliver. My personal favorite being "Unsafe Location" My delivery address is the front desk of a hotel at one of the busiest tourist attractions in the country, it couldn't be farther from "unsafe". If its not blatant lies about why they were unable to delivery, they will just repeatedly reschedule delivery for the next day, the current package I am trying to track down has been rescheduled for the next day for over a week now. I do not understand how this company can continue to business with anyone, I am personally out 5 packages worth hundreds of dollars at this point and I am far from the only person at my company experiencing these delivery issues. No one answers the customer service phone number and the "Live Agent Chat" is a joke, they can't actually tell you anything regarding your package, only that they will send an e-mail inquiry for you.
Lost package? Good luck getting anyone that's helpful in customer service. Chat agents are useless and know nothing, not sure why they have them. You'll never get anyone on the phone. I suggest just disputing your credit card if you havee an issue with them and avoid the ever disappointing customer service.
If a company uses this service to deliver your goods please be aware that you will never get your package on time if you pay for one day delivery. This is the third time I paid for one day delivery and this company failed to do so. I ordered my package on a Wednesday morning and it won't be here until Monday!
We are a winery located in California (Central Coast). GLS is used for our club allotment bulk shipping as well as general west coast shipments. As the Tasting Room and Wine Club Manager I deal with GLS daily regarding problems and there are many to deal with all day long.
1. There is no customer service. You will never get someone on the phone after 3pm and plan to be on hold at least 30 minute or more.
2. There is no accountability for lost items which basically have been stolen by GLS staff either at the hub or in transport.
3. You cannot count on any confirmation you receive from customer Service. Basically they lie to get you off the phone.
This is by far the worst courier/shipping service I have ever witnessed.
They said it will arrive between 12:30 and 15:30 on the day 21th of 03.2023. I really wanted to get this package, I was waiting for it for a month already so I constantly had my phone next to me being at home. I checked the online tracking every half an hour.
At 15:26 they wrote that I was not at home with the time of 14:22.
I can cope with it if it didn't fit in the schedule but lying about my presence is unprofessional.
As a company you can be as good as your employees. Hire people who can be trusted.

Still waiting for my package that is 40 miles away. They literally lied and said the road was closed…TWICE. I even contacted the dispatch and told them it was a lie and gave my number for issues. Still no delivery. I have never heard of this company before this experience, and I never wanna hear about them again. I only gave a 1 rating since it wouldn't let me do a ZERO. Joke of a company
I have a food delivery subscription that uses GLS for shipping. There have been several occasions in which my box was thrown away by GLS because they exceeded the timeline to deliver it to me. When I check tracking notes it shows that the box has been in my town on the date delivery was scheduled and then a few days later it was shipped to another state. By the time it got back to my town the box had to be thrown away. Waste of food and money. Their customer service is terrible and rude.
I have used this company for a few years. They were a very good company when it was GSO. When they were bought out the price went up and the service got much worse. The customer service or lack of is virtually no help if you wait two plus hours to talk to someone.
Their drop boxes are not picked up every day, sometimes once to twice a week causing packages to be late.
I do not recommend this company at all.
The first package was completely lost. When finally "customer service - ha!" was involved, they had no answers. Hmmmm. It must be lost. No kidding sherlock. Second package shipped with them - (fool me twice). While a delivery date was given, I'm hardly holding my breath.
Customer service is rude and awful, delivery people lie about delivering and then it just so happened to be "lost" refuses to accept fault and I can't receive my gift that was supposed to be for Christmas
I needed to send the package from Slovakia to Italy. Because of the public holidays in slovakia I was very nervous if the package arrives on time. Using the tracking I could see that the package arrived really the lowest level delivery time within EU 3 zones as declared. From my point of view - very good job.
GLS do not care about anything. They do not deliver on the date that they themselves confirm. They do not provide an option to reschedule. And worst of all, they send you a feedback form which doesn't work. Avoid like the plague. Unfortunately my ordered goods have been sent by GLS several times. Now I specifically request not to use them.
Driver mis-delivered my parcel even though my eircode was on the parcel in several places. Then forged my initials on the receiving docket. He could not be reached by customer service who said they'd leave a note for him to see when he picked up his load this morning. I was then instructed by GLS customer service to wait 3 business days before filing a claim (even though they already knew the parcel had gone missing). To add insult to injury, my parcel magically appeared on my outer wall this morning. Rather than walk the 20ft to put it under cover by the front door. Pure laziness. Instead it got drenched in the pouring rain. Luckily the shipper had double bagged everything inside. The shipper emailed me today to see if I'd received the parcel as GLS notified them. I haven't heard anything back from GLS to confirm or discern if I received the parcel. Very poor service and customer service in my opinion. Avoid using if at all possible.
We ordered twice a couch from a company working with GLS delivery service. First time we ordered, the couch was sent back because apparently they did find nobody home. However we had no clue when the delivery would take place and never received any phonecard. The numbers of the trace and tracking app are not being recognised as we call. No one is responding on messages left with their client service. Communication 0. We are going to cancel now, as 1 month and with second delivery, we have no clue where our couch is!
My package arrived damaged. The box completely crushed and torn open. The driver who delivered walked to my gate w/o package in hand and then returned to van to drive away. I flagged her down and confirmed she was GLS. This driver proceeded to crawl around the back of van digging for my package. Once she opened the back door i could see every package in the truck was squished. I watched her step on boxes while searching for mine. My box was finally discovered underneath everything and was destroyed with the product exposed. Terrible service.
Unreliable tracking system where the customer has no knowledge of where their package is located. Unable to get anyone on the phone or online. My package was scheduled for the 30th and today is 12/2/2022 and I am still waiting. Worst part is that I have been home waiting for three days not knowing if and when they will come which is very inconvenient. Horrible service and the fact that no one is there online via chat or on the phone to let me know what is going on and when it will actually come. Please do not use this service unless you have no life outside of waiting for a package. RIDICULOUS!
Dropped off a overnight package at the drop off location after confirming from customer service there will be daily pickup. However the pickup was no performed until next day and right now my package could not be trace. Called customer service for help but they just want me to wait. It almost a week past and the package still could not be trace. Bad service.

I waited in for five days, they kept giving me vague delivery windows then not showing up. Day 3 lady phoned me to explain there was an issue with the address, when she read it back to me, it was... my address. Still not recieved parcel.
Box was left OUTSIDE the gate. Steps from the street and in clear view of traffic. Food items in the box were crushed again, like last week; it's like something very heavy was on it or someone sat on the box again. Very unsatisfactory service.
Answer: Minimum 20 minute wait time via online or by phone. Longest time I waited was 3 hours and still no one picked up
