Awful customer service, have waited a whole month for my box, kept being told it would be shipped that day, funnily enough, that day kept not coming! I finally got my box with only a partial refund, and the box was half full! No information on the products which are in all the other boxes (seen online etc) and the wrong products. Absolute joke!
The pros -- packaging is very nice, and the boxes I've received have had interesting items.
The cons -- You can't trust this company. I signed up for a three month deal, and they charged me, but never sent the first month. When I contacted them about it, they refused to send a replacement, or honor the third month of the deal. Contacting customer service just gets you an "oh well, I can't do anything about that" response -- and I went through MONTHS of that. I had to go through PayPal for a refund - which is what I should have done to begin with.
The products were okay. (After several attempts to find out why I didn't receive any boxes but was charged for two!) Several hour long waits and being hung up on. Boxes are on their way. I have cancelled. I should have listened to warnings. What a mess! Boxycharm is the way to go! Better products and issues are solved much easier.
I have been a suscriber for over a year. My December box has still not arrived. Their customer service is no help. When you ask on instagram you get a generic response but no explanation for why so many people have not received what they paid for. They also overcharged me and keep asking for proof. Well if you look at my account you can see you charged me 23.00 instead of 21.00. I cancelled and wil be switching to birchbox.
I signed up for the monthly box 4 months ago and do far, I'm satisfied. It's fun and the presentation of the box is beautiful. I don't really buy many beauty products, I hate to spend the money and end up disliking the product. With glossybox, there's a variety of beauty products and a description of how they work. I've even found products I plan to use daily and will probably buy in the future. I love the hey honey products, a few good eyeliners and my favorite, the nail polishes. There's masks in most of the boxes too, I give them to my mom, I'm not big on masks, but she loves the ones I've given her. I tried birchbox and glossy is so much better.
I got my 1st box ever. They include a picture with products you're supposed to get with what they are. Problem is 2 of the items inside were valued at respected $20 EACH lower then item I was supposed to get.
They said it was only about $5 off retail. I call b. S. because I've looked up and purchased both before.
Wss supposed to get the Josephine Cosmetics Full sz Dew You(avg $38)and received bella pierre finishing powder(cost average $13) and supposed to get the Polaar deluxe Mini mask and received the nailpolish). Like I told them, for a first time purchase you try to please a new subscription buyer (not make excuses)
They are quick to make excuses and take money out if your account fir next month's box, which came out PROMPTLY ON 1ST of the month for this month but I will not receive it until end of this month
Glossybox is a scam! They will continue to try to get money from your account every week, you cannot talk to anyone and its impossible to cancel your menbership
First, I want to highlight that the only good thing in this box is the packaging.
The Company has the worse customer service that I have ever received in 11 Subs that I have been with. Glossy box is an Irresponsible Company that does not know how to handle marketing problem. They lack of KNOWLEDGE. For example they recently advertise a box for $13.3 and after customers ordered they cancelled orders saying that and employee messed up wit the advertisement. WHAT A SHAME to blame an employee publicly. Moreover, they are not giving anything back to customers to at list compensate this situation. Other company out there would handle this situation in another way. But OOH! Wait! Why are you surprised? Is Glossybox again!
Ordered two weeks ago. Was billed. Received no updates. Emailed company multiple times with receipt from paypal for purchase. No response. No product. I bet they will still bill me for a subscription that they claim they can't find
WARNING! Do NOT subscribe to this company! The customer service is awful - basically non-existent. The number they give is never answered and the chat feature is always down! I cancelled my subscription and they renewed it anyway. I sent 10 emails seeking resolution and they refused to cancel my subscription. I am working with my states attorney generals office for resolution. I received numerous boxes with damaged or missing products - no resolution. Not with the money! Mediocre products at best and AWFUL customer service!
I recently ordered a May box using a code that also gave me a free Pink Diamond box. I was super excited until I noticed that my e-receipt didn't mention I would receive the free box (which was my whole reason for signing up). I've emailed customer service twice and so far no response. I tried calling and was on hold for 30 minutes before the line went dead. If I don't hear back I'll have to contact my credit card and stop the charge. So far, not impressed at all!
I signed up for a 3 month automatic subscription, and nothing about it has been automatic. After not receiving my first box, I went through at least 5 Customer service reps over the course of 3 weeks to finally get by first box. Each rep always states or writes that I'll be getting my box in 5 business days, as if they have resolved the matter, but sure enough 5 business days later for some unknown or unexplained reason the box never shipped, manual order wasn't processed, other random explanation provided. Each rep fails to follow through. I had to follow up constantly. I've had to repeat this process every month for 3 months. Over 22 emails and 8 phone calls with customer service for a 3 month subscription. Reps are friendly when you talk to them but fully inadequate in fulfilling their promises and processes.
Sigh... I wanted to love Glossybox and bought 3 advent calendars as gifts for Christmas 2021. I ordered more than 2 months in advance, but still no boxes have arrived. I followed up multiple times with the company who kept cheerily assuring me that I would receive tracking when the boxes had shipped. Never once did they indicate they would not ship until after Advent had started. Sadly, the boxes are scheduled to arrive on December 9th which is close to halfway through advent. Called the company, and no accommodation was made for the delay. This is just so odd to me. It's like a company shipping you a Halloween costume on November 5th and wondering why you no longer find it useful. I gave Glossybox 4 opportunities to fix it (2 emails to customer service and 2 phone calls) before I wrote my review. In short, Glossybox could not deliver their advent calendars in time for Advent which seems to me like they are offering a pointless product and deeply frustrating experience. You had one job, Glossybox, one job! I will never order from them again. There are plenty of other beauty subscription boxes and beauty Advent calendars out there that value their customers and keep their promises.
This business is absolutely despicable. I had a 12 month subscription. 2 boxes I didn't even recieve. The boxes are pretty bad, repeated products, leaking, broken. Then I tried to cancel 3 x and they ignored it and charged me. Now I've tried to contact them through EVERY POSSIBLE METHOD. I have evidence of cancelling in October and they are playing dumb ignoring me. I'm going to the media and every review site to make sure people don't fall for this. I reviewed on Other sites and they replied in 2 minutes claiming to have sent me a message when they've actually ignored me. It's hilariously terrible. If you do read this GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK AND RESPOND TO MY MESSAGE.
I was charged for 2 months and recieved nothing. Their phone is cut off and customer service doesn't exist. I had to cancek my card to keep them from robbing me blind. This company is a scam, please think twice.
Don't sign up because even if you cancel your subscription they'll still charge you.
Also the full size products they claim they give is a lie. The 3 month's i was with them I've gotten one full size product that wasn't a color pop liquid lipstick.
I am completely distraught trying to get help with Glossybox customer service and relations team. I ordered an advent calendar on 2nd Oct 2020 as a present for someone and I still have not received anything over 2 months later. We are now well into December and the product has lost its value and meaning now. I have been back and forth with their agents who have not provided any help. They have repeatedly told me it is an "active order" and there is nothing they can do. I have asked several times for a refund and today after a week of messages they are saying my order is "sorted" and they will not give me a refund. My order has never arrived and is not sorted. I am disgusted and let down immensely as is the young girl I bought this as a gift for. I am being left out of pocket before Christmas and feel they have just stolen my hard earned money.
I just received my January and February boxes today and I am in love with the packaging! The "Valentine's Day" themed box is just the cutest. I also love how sturdy the boxes are, as well. Great for storage. Once I opened the boxes, I noticed how much care they took to make sure it all was placed in the box well so nothing could happen during transit. I really appreciate that. As for the items in the box, I freaking love! Some of the items I would never have thought to get for myself but since I'm willing to try everything, I cannot wait to see what it does for my skin or hair. I am still amazed by their customer service and how quickly not only did I receive a response, but how quickly I got my box replacement. I really appreciate it and that will definitely keep me a customer for a long time.
I am making this review solely on their customer service so far. I was supposed to receive my box by 31st January and upon nothing being received and not seeing any movement on my box since the 27th, I emailed GLOSSYBOX through their site about the situation. I received an email stating they'll be back to me within 24 hours. They got back to me within 6 hours, which is pretty quick. Turns out USPS had lost my box (i've had this happen a few times with the USPS down here in Florida) so it wasn't a big surprise to me. Then they offered three decisions to make it right: replace the box immediately, refund me the money (I had ordered a 3 month subscription) or credit me the money on their LookFantastic partner site. I was really impressed with the options to make this right. I was really looking forward to my box so I opted for the first one. It has only been 6 hours again and I've been given a tracking number for a new replacement box. Now that to me, is customer service. I don't fault them for the loss of my package in transit, as it is out of their control. Disappointing? Absolutely. But did they make up for it? Oh yeah.
I subscribe to for March's box I never received! They are trying to charge me for April's when I have sent over 10 emails stating I never got my first box. I refused to pay for something else and not receive it. I been subscribed birchbox, boxy charm, Sephora's play box, and I have never received such $#*!ty service in my life! I sent over so many emails and screenshots showing they were supposed to send my box. And done only one email saying they were going to contact their warehouse but I never heard from them again! I've already contacted my credit card company trying to dispute the charge. I wish I would have never tried glossybox and I will post on their page.
TERRIBLE! Charged twice and no box, no customer service number works. I so that Consumer Reports rated it their favorite cosmetic box, I'll be calling them next. Terrible take 48 hours to get a response BY email. I am in the process of canceling subscription. Hopefully I can get a refund.
Answer: No! Products from Glossybox are not worth the money. Most products are deluxe samples, which is fine if they did not claim otherwise, as well as if the monthly price reflected deluxe sample prices. From my experience, Glossybox tended to include a lot of deluxe samples of hair products, individual sheet masks, nail polish, usually full size, and items of this nature. Very little makeup products other than eyeliners. The products are not unique as is with other companies offering the same subscription services.
Answer: Glossybox list price for the full sized item on their information card, Birchbox does the same thing. Ive only ever been able to get replies from Glossybox on their social media accounts.
Answer: How I got them to answer is I used the review section and copy and pasted my issue on every review and told them I would keep giving lousy reviews until they resolved my issue. That worked, and they did
