Rob you blind for months after cancellation

Where do I start?! I only received 1 box yet my bank account is full of transactions from this company. They have taken so many unauthorised payments from my account, even though they have acknowledged my cancelled subscription! I started off being nice to them about it but now I'm just fed up and threatened them with Tranding Standards etc. They can't get away with that surely?! The box I did receive contained false eye lashes with no glue, a face scrub and a hair mask... definately not worth all this back and fourth nonsense!

The most shady business practises I've experienced. I got the december box and knew about the subscription auto renewals as I've had many subscription services before but could not find any option to cancel it on the webpage. I assumed it was not part of a subscription because I used a code and got a different box then those who have subscribed. (I saw comments who have the subscription complaining not getting it and being neglected) In January they took my money for January and finally found an option to cancel and did. Because the subscription says still active although I received a confirmation e-mail that I cancelled I contacted CS. They stated me the policies for a 3,6 & 12 month subscription which does not apply here at all. After a bit back and forth, they even admitted that once you sign up and cancel immediately one more box will be generated after cancellation which means you automatically sign up for 2 boxes. Didn't even response to their missing cancellation option.

I liked my first box, but the second one was a joke. Like the sample ipsy size but double the price. So i cancelled, buuut they keep on billing me. Finally after trying all ways to contact them they accused me of having a yearly not monthly subscription... good thing i had my original email. Then she back peddled real fast. They are liars and scammers. And they try to trick you into thinking you are stuck in a yearly even if you have a monthly., pay attention... we will see next month if they actual cancel. She assured me it will be.

Do not waste your money
November 19, 2022

Do not bother! I decided to give it a go for a year subscription but first ordered a "try" x2 boxes. I do agree it is not expensive but what have arrived was rubbish. Its like you put money in your pocket and you lost them or someone stole it. But more then a month later I decided to give it another go for another try, and what was there - IDENTICAL 2 boxes that I have received more than a month ago. Fuming! Support says - it's blind boxes and they can't help me, But EVERY item in BOTH boxes came identical. Rubbish company! If I knew Glossybox is a scam - there are many other beauty boxes to chose from!

Avoid this company
July 4, 2024

Avoid this company. You do not get what you pay for. When you complain about it you get ignored. I've tried to cancel this 4 times and I keep being charged for it and boxes sent. I'm going to have to cancel my card to stop the payments as the refuse to cancel.

I ordered two advent calendars for my daughters. One is missing an entire row of product. I finally got ahold of a customer service agent at Glossybox and they will not replace the missing product that I paid for. Not a good experience. I will not ever order from this company again.

Bad Quality
December 28, 2021

For the past 3 years we have ordered the advent calendar from Glossy Box for my mother, and she has enjoyed them. When we ordered this year, it came late on the 18 of December and this was ordered in October. When we opened the boxes, it was very disappointing; out of the whole glossy box we only received 4 items which were makeup. Most of the products were serums, and on the 25 day we received a tiny eyeshadow pallet and two brushes that felt very cheap. Did not enjoy the advent calendar and probably will not purchase again next year.

DO NOT USE!
You will be signed to a continual annual subscription even if you intend a one off payment. If you order extra items you will be signed to another annual subscription.
Glossybox will take £130 from you bank account annually thereafter, but you will not receive any items. It is not possible to contact by telephone as the lines are permanently closed. The online chat is just a robot. If you complete the online enquiry form you will receive a reply that does not address the issue, then after you will be blanked
The only way to receive reimbursement is to enter a lengthy 'Dispute Procedure' with your Bank.
Please be aware and do not make any purchase from Glossybox,

I want to cancle my subscription since there are "shipping restrictions" for the 3 box bundles but none for the regular subscription, but you told my refferal her order was canceled due to supply orders is just unprofessional and I will not be a member with service like this. I wish I could give a zero star they would receive it.

I ordered a 12 month subscription for my mom for xmas. She received 5 months and then it stopped. No contact; no refund; nothing. After many, many messages, they said it was backordered, they no longer ship to the US, we never paid, etc etc etc. Overall they stole my money and I'd never use them again.

I signed up at the end of the month for a months subscription to Glossybox to see if I liked the products they sent. I was automatically charged two days later for the next month when I hadn't even received the first box. Glossybox told me; " If you choose to subscribe to the Monthly Plan between the 15th to the end of the month, you automatically agree to following month's charge." This means up to 50% of people could be in this situation and charged for something they don't want. Very underhand tactics.

Began my 12 month Subscription in October 2021. Received a box every month from October to September (12 months of boxes).
Emailed to cancel on 23rd September 2022. Was informed that the cutoff date (14th) to cancel for the following month had passed so I would still be charged and receive October 2022s edition, then it would not renew.
Woke up this morning (1st November 2022) to find they have charged my card for November's box. Contacted them right away and received a response back saying:

"Please not that this was cancelled on 23-09-2022. And note the subscription full term is 12 months"

As you can imagine, I am confused and fuming that they continue to take money from my account and receive a generic, incorrect response like this when I have clearly and evidentially completed the full 12 month term!

The boxes are not worth their money anyway and I had been waiting for the 12 months to be up in order to cancel but it seems they will not let me!

Products are tiny, cheap( I can find better products at the dollar tree) and ugly colors! Customer service is horrible! Dont waste your money! If your looking for a great subscription box try boxycharm!

One last thing... they wont post a bad review on their site... Ive tested it.

Buyer beware
July 7, 2017

My husband gave this to me as a gift. It was kind of fun for the first year (although there were not that many products that I would actually use or buy on my own -- and almost every product was TINY). Suddenly, a few days ago, up pops a "welcome to glossy box" email. The subscription had automatically renewed, without any warning. I emailed saying that I did not want to renew. Customer "service" says simply: that's our policy. Again, there was no warning that this was an automatic renewal. So, I am stuck with another year -- it has gone from somewhat fun to being a trap.

Fraud Alert!

I never received anything from this company, I contacted them when my first box didn't arrive. Brittany didn't do anything, gave me 3 page UPS form to fill, and even after that nothing was done. And thereafter they had the nerve to me charge me one more time, and again not deliver. I can understand that stuff gets lost, but at least address the issue before shipping another one out. Never seen a company with a worst customer service. It is a scam, dont get it! They have refunded my money, or sent a replacement.

They "fished" me with what seemed a "generous" offer for the 3 months.
The products are not worthy, honestly, you can get things at the super market, and the subscription is set up in a way it is automatically renewed! You know how it goes: the automatic renewal term is written in the FAQ or somewhere that one needs to look for, and once you get invoiced you cannot claim the money back... pure scam disguised as "so sorry for your loss, you should have known better". Thank you for the lesson glossybox.

No May Box received; Initial email to customer service was on 5/20. This is they're automated response: "his automated message is a confirmation that your ticket has been received by the Customer Care team and will be responded to within 5-8 days, as we are experiencing a much higher than normal backlog." I have not heard anything. As second email received the same response. Again, have not heard from Glossybox customer care. Phoned 4 times - automated response said my call was place in a queue and they would call back. The line then went dead. This happened 4 times and have never heard back from them. Something appears to be "fishy" to receive absolutely no response.

Poor customer service, products are advertised as luxury-- but we seriously got head and shoulders shampoo and conditioner in last months box. This was not my serious issue however.

Everything boils down to customer service-- just read all the other reviews-- they are just like my experience

BUYER BEWARE

I was a customer of Glossybox for 2 years. I realized that they paid little to no attention to my requests and continued to send items I had specifically said /I don't use.
Cancelled my subscription 8 days before the renewal date and they charged me anyways. I have been fighting with them for THREE months now to return my money. I've been promised it back three times by different sales consultants/ service reps and today now they're saying they won't process my refund unless I remove my Paypal dispute. Paypal has advised against that in light of the fact that they are not following through as promised as then I will have no recourse. It has been a nightmare.
There are many better subscription boxes that are easier to deal with and actually send you what you'd like to try (Ipsy, Birchbox to name a few). I will never deal with Glossybox again. Nightmare to just get MY own money returned to me and I'm coming to think they never will.
