Ordered a pair of sunglasses with prescription lenses that I'm very happy with. The website was full of options, with filters that helped to narrow my choices down to the point where I selected a great pair of Maui Jim's. The process was not difficult at all. My only complaint was that the promotional messages that followed all offered discounts, none of which applied to my eventual purchase.

First off the return process is very complicated and I think it's part of their business plan. The 2 pairs of glasses I purchased were terrible. They're made of cheap plastic and do not stay on your head. It was a waste of money and I will be going somewhere else to get a pair that works. I did try and go through their support before writing this review and that was just a waste of time.

The ordering system makes you pick between packages that have no coatings and all the coatings. You can't get clear lenses with just anti reflective coating. The coating option makes the lenses and everything you see yellow. The no coating option allows glare and reflection in your lenses which is extremely annoying. There is no real human to express these concerns to. Their sunglasses are good but their actual clear lense glasses are garbage.

Tip for consumers:
Individual choices instead of packages. Actual customer service instead of dumb robots that say the same stuff over and over again!

I purchased a pair of glasses 12/2023. Now on their website, there is no evidence of my order #. It just disappeared. I have the original email, though. Ordered anti-glare, this picture shows, they are not, also paid for their 20/20 coverage, I wasn't informed of a copay, until I needed help with replacement. Not an honest broker.

We understand from your correspondence with our Customer Care Team that you had accidentally stepped on your glasses. The 20/20 Enhanced Coverage covers damage from normal day to day wear and tear, accidental damage from handling and changes to your glasses prescription. Lost or stolen glasses are not covered. A co-payment is required to replace the order. The co-payment charge will depend on the frame selected and lens package.

I gave this review 2 stars because I do like the quality of glasses I received. However, the customer service is the worst that I have ever dealt with. You cannot talk to an actual person and they just want you to continue to chat with the AI. I tried emailing them and received an email back that stated they do not monitor their email, so I am not sure why they have one. Good glasses, the absolute worst customer service.

Horrific and non-existent. I most likely will not order from here again simply due to customer service. You cannot talk to a person and they keep funneling you to the exact same spot every time.

My only problem was that your website claims glasses in up to 6 business days from order. I placed an order for prescription sun glasses, and selected express delivery. I had a trip to Thailand coming up and in worst case scenario, 6 days production, 5 days shipping, I would have my glasses in time for my trip. Unfortunately production took quite a bit longer and my glasses arrived well into my trip. It was just disappointing, but your customer service did refund my shipping cost, it was appreciated.

It was difficult to get through the chat bot/phone bot to an actual agent

I ordered just a pair of frames. Non prescription. I've always ordered from Glasses.com and it's never taken longer than 10 days. I paid $115+ not including shipping. It took almost 3 weeks to receive them. Trying to get ahold of someone live to talk to eas even more frustrating as i tried a few times and gave up. I don't know if I'll order from here in the future. I was disappointed that the frames felt somewhat cheap given the cost of them. I'm hoping that my lenses being fitting for them frames won't damage them.

Was not able to get in touch with a live agent. Emailed as well and was told that the contact email for questions is not regularly maintained.

Reason I chose this business:

Used them in the past and receiving the item was quicker than most places but this time, not so much.

This is my second and possibly final order with GlassesUSA. I ordered contacts with expedited shipping on Monday and had not received an update after two days, so I finally contacted them for an update. There is no customer service. There is no live person on the phone, bot chat system and emails were never responded to. Just lack in the communication department

I've purchased several pairs of glasses from them. The most recent were in 2017. They have great prices and selection. Customer service was kind of meh, but I was happy with the glasses. Over the past year however the lenses have developed a strange rainbow like effect which I can only assume is the coatings wearing off or thin. I've bought glasses from several other online retailers and from optometrists over the years and never had this problem before. I have glasses 10 years old without this problem. I take very good care of them. Very hesitant to make another purchase as the lenses or coatings don't last and are cheap. Even the two pairs of Zenni glasses I bought that were $6 each haven't had this issue. So be aware longevity with their lenses may not be good.

Glasses look fine but lenses were not made correctly -progressive lens was not set in proper location, so there is no clear middle distance vision and I can only read out of the 2 mm on the bottom. This was confirmed by a local optometrist. A big disappointment.

We also recommend you verify your PD (Pupillary Distance) as most optometrists do not provide this information on the prescription. You can measure your PD easily by placing a ruler on the bridge of your nose and measuring the distance between your pupils in millimeters. Ordered glasses and they looked great, but only lasted about seven months. I am a retired grandmother, so there is no rough housing or reasoning for them to break except they were made very cheaply contacted the company, and they offered to reimburse half of my money towards another pair of glasses, but I definitely could not replace my glasses for half the amount so I had to get sunglasses with no bifocal in them and I was actually disappointed with those two. They look like they are sized for children. Lesson learned.

I ordered contacts the first week of January...the system couldn't handle my prescription apparently and so I was sent a handful of automated emails requesting my input. Each went unread from them (apparently) because I would receive an identical email the next day from a different (fake) person. Once I FINALLY got someone on the phone (try asking to speak to someone in Spanish, it gets you a real person) they took care of things. But then I got another series of automated emails asking if I wanted to continue with my order...um, yes please! Called again, spoke to someone in "Spanish" again (actually they speak English, but it's the only way to talk to a real person) and now APPARENTLY my contacts are on the way to me... it's currently Feb 23. This has been nearly a 7 week process. I won't be doing it again. I'm hopeful the correct script gets to me, or else I'm gonna be super unhappy.

My glasses broke and when they sent a replacement they did not include any of the upgrades that I paid for on my original purchase. Thin and light lenses, progressive, and brown gradient. I got plain black ugly glasses that are not even close to what I ordered.

I had originally bought two and was happy with the lenses so decided to buy two then another three. Then first pair broke, then another and yet another. So now less than a year with three broken pairs from the fragile frames. You get what you pay for and apparently I need to find a better manufacturer of glasses with a better quality. Offer 50% replacement and pay for the shipping.

Tip for consumers:
Be careful for the quality of the frames that go with the glasses. Really quite fragile and breaking calls them normal....really?

Ordered glasses and got an email saying production would take around 6 days and 2 days for inspection, very reasonable. However 2 weeks later with no update on anything started the frustration and only when threatening to cancel the order did they get back to me saying they would be shipped ASAP. Then they canceled my expedited shipping due to address and said they refunded which they have not still then charged me again to change back to expedited.

Ordered a set of prescription glasses that I obtained from a local chain store(Lens**) that had become unusable due to being sat on. Very accurate prescription (you get what u order so be carefull ordering). Only problem I had was getting them adjusted to not slide down and getting the earpiece adjusted properly.
All in all good quality set of glasses much cheaper then I could purchase locally.

Upon ordering I was very excited to recieve my glasses 2 weeks went buy and they didn't even start making my glasses (without prescription) I emailed to get an update and this is the response I was given
"Production and shipping times vary depending on your prescription and the nature of your order, as well as which shipping method you choose.

Our typical production time is as follows:

Single vision (general use/near vision): approximately 2-4 business days

Multifocal / bifocal/ tinted lenses: approximately 6 business days

Once your glasses are ready our Quality Assurance Team will test them for approximately 1-2 business days before shipping them out.

Shipping can take between 5-10 business days, depending on the Courier:

Standard (free): up to 7-10 business days

Expedited ($9.95): up to 5-7 business days

I placed the order on 4/15/20 and just got them 05/13/20 (having driven to post office to get them) 2 days shy of a month later and yet everytime I asked about them they said " we're in the time frame for your selected shipping" tell me Ashley how a month is within the time frame provided? Horrible customer service I asked if I could pay to expedite the shipping and they said I could not when they should have offered it for free. Since upon purchasing it says 7-10 business days it took over 14 just for my again (non prescription) glasses to start production i buy online a lot and this is by far the worst experience i have had doing so

Both lenses have an unsightly number inscribed in the upper corner. The tortoise shell frames have, not discreet, if not unsightly,clear plastic nose pieces.The overall appearance lacks elegance which perhaps should not be expected at a bargain price, as any buyer must remember. You get what you pay for.

Glasses are great - but don't expect any help from customer service.

Chat or email - they give you canned cut-and-paste responses and rarely actually address your inquiry. When you insist on the issue you need addressed they can't help, you simply have to wait for their "billing" team to get back to you... And good luck if they ever do.

Additionally, they claim that customers can edit/manage their contact subscriptions from their "my account"... There is NO WHERE on the account that provides this functionality. I have sent them screenshots of the view from my side and never once have they addressed specifically where this is... My inquiry gets sent to "billing" and I never hear from anyone.

Glassesusa. Bad experience paying extra for shipping.
Do not believe the wording for quicker expedited delivery. I paid $12.95 for that. They finished my glasses in two days. Wonderful. But then they take 5 business days to deliver by USPS and I couldn't get any further info from them online from the third day on. They blame the carrier which they picked

I have bought 2 pair of glasses from GlassesUSA before and been satisfied. This pair is the only time I have had a problem but I feel helpless trying to fix it. Glasses have been stuck in production for almost a week and a half when its supposed to be 3 or less days and I haven't found a way to talk to real person.

Order glasses and got a text that they had shipped. Said tracking would update in 72 hours. Well that's come and gone and still no update. Thought I had found somewhere to purchase glasses easily, but with shipping issues I don't think I will ever do this again.

First of all, just to be clear. I understand orders and production are delayed due to COVID-19. That's not what this is about. For the last month, I have been told my glasses were in production and even told it was in Quality Assurance. None of the representatives I spoke with bothered to tell me that my glasses were out of stock this whole time! I do not appreciate being lied to.
Can't speak to the product because I haven't received them yet. But customer service has been horrible.

I ordered contacts on 6/13/22 received an email on 6/14/22 needed more information. I replied to email on6/14/*******@12:37 pm with the information that was needed to process this order! It is now going on 10 days since I gave the information, I have spoke to 2 reps and have received 7 different emails. But the issue hasn't been resolved yet!

The glasses were well made, prescription was correct. But I ordered based on photos of me in the frames and the colors in the photos are NOT accurate. If color is important to you, don't trust what you see on the screen.
One pair was supposed to be purple, the other blue. Both look silver.
