Disgraceful website
January 17, 2018

We have found the same issue as all of these other reviewers. This company just allow anyone to post reviews, no validation. As a business with a hard working team, we are subject to commercial law and behave accordingly - yet websites likes this allow anyone to make up reviews and then try and get you to pay money to them to resolve! This should not and cannot be legal.

This site doesn't do any good to employees and employers. They foster their disgruntled reviewers to attack co's managers and bosses including C-level management. And they come around to the companies to sell their services and whatnot. This is very unethical. For employees, the site keeps removing some reviews that they don't want to post. Facts, compensations, other data on companies don't really reflect, however leveraging that incorrect info, they try to create their sales. This is one of those dot com companies trying very hard to acquire a big user base to raise the value of the company.

What a joke
January 9, 2017

I'm a marketing manager, trying to raise my company's profile, and am always professional, but someone at Glassdoor, if not everyone I've engaged with, acts like this is a joke. My own company profile which had been up for a month disappeared and they refused to restore it or look into why is disappeared. Not only did positive reviews disappear, new reviews are being blocked from being added (4 current employees). Perhaps they are just messing with me or their site just doesn't work. Either way, it's very frustrating dealing with them. My advice: SKIP GLASSDOOR - they are the joke!

Glassdoor is a website that gives cowardly under performers who get fired from their jobs a place to hide behind a keyboard and leave libel, slanderous, outrageous, defamatory claims about their former employers in an effort to harm them and their business.

Liars!
June 11, 2020

They state they can provide top quality applicants. They state they are more efficient at what they do and provide employers with better qualified applicants. These are all lies. I get 50 applicants a month using much more transparent methods with half the investment. For double my normal investment per month, Glassdoor provided me with 0 applicants in my area, and then tried to play their competency by saying that people who applied 1000 miles away were qualified applicants. Not the case. It's sad, don't do it. Their customer service sucks and they won't refund a penny. Best wishes to you all!

Does not portray an accurate review of business. Most posts or reviews are from disgruntled employees who seem to have it out for the company. I have worked for several companies who are rated horribly on glassdoor and can attest that the feelings of current and 99% of former employees are not the same as these reviews. I would recommend doing a lot more research before trusting the glassdoor reviews.

Beware!
December 3, 2015

Wow I wonder how long these guys are going to stay in business?!?! No fact checking - Allowing any disgruntled employee, vendor, boyfriend/ girlfriend, neighbour etc... basically anyone can write anything, no matter how slanderous and false, thus rendering the site useless. Negative reviews are one thing and expected from people who are fired. But making personal attacks and very serious false accusations? I don't even know if it's legal to publicly post such slanderous things! Yikes!

Glassdoor is a joke
January 6, 2022

Glassdoor is basically a site for former employees to hammer their employer. In my case, have inaccurate "statistics" that are easily verifiable from several public sources. Then they try to monetize the removal or mediation of these comments. Not impressed.

Job search via Glassdoor is virtually useless. Pretty stale reposts from elsewhere. Salary estimates are reasonably accurate. Culture comments and interview intelligence are sometimes useful but a lot is just upset employees venting...

I'm a hiring manager attempting to recruit top talent and I'm being repeatedly asked about a negative review on Glassdoor that is coming from a disgruntled worker in another division that literally didn't show up to work for a month before he was terminated for cause by management. In his claim he refers to the execs of our company as crooks and thieves with simply unbelievable claims that if true they would've been arrested years ago. Bottom line, Glassdoor does more harm than good for both the employer and any propspective employee. Un-verified employment, terminated for cause employee feedback, and non-constructive feedback are the staples of their business model.

Not a reliable source
January 25, 2019

This is most definitely the place for employees that are terminated or leave on bad terms to write fake reviews especially when they aren't really verified. We let an employee go and immediately following, that same employee posts that people should stay away from our company and that we have many lawsuits against us and we have none lol. Glassdoor refuse to remove the comment stating that "it is within our guidelines and will remain". Any one can post something and it is awful! In the past, I used to look up companies on glassdoor to see their reviews but I will no longer use them as a trustworthy source to find out more about the company.

Glassdoor states that they cannot remove reviews but allowed 2 problem employees, who had been written up and reprimanded by the office manager, to remove reviews when the office manager wrote responses. One employee made accusations about multiple bar complaints filed against the owner/attorney, which is absolutely false. Legal action needs to be taken against this company for allowing libelous statements.

We have several reviews on our company, both positive and negative, that are not from previous employees. You can clearly see from their posts they have the wrong company (wrong city, positions that don't exist with our organization or industry, etc.). However after multiple attempts to contact Glassdoor they say these are within their guidelines and have not even researched that these are clearly not valid reviews.

How can we trust anything on Glassdoor at this point? We can't.

As a company owner, we take our reputation very seriously and want to hear constructive feedback to improve where we can. Glassdoor provides anonymity to anyone (without verification) to post hate filled, personal vendettas that are neither constructive nor true, complete, accurate or insightful - in many cases. It is not a platform that improves employee- employer relationships, but one that tarnishes it.

I'm an extremely computer savvy person. Glassdoor is a ridiculous website. It must've been designed by a bunch of cretins on crack. Don't waste your time with this site. Go to Indeed.com, now that's a very good website. Hey Glassdoor.com, you guys should get rid of the G and the l, because Assdoor is a much more appropriate name for your site.

glassdoor.com is a scam as 3 full pages of bad reviews vanished over night as Walker Advertising became one of their corporate members and replaced all bad reviews with more favorable ones. Now their revolving door policy is hidden once again!

Unethical site
September 24, 2018

Basically we had a group of bullies in our office that were made redundant for the good of the company and they have done nothing but write lies on Glassdoor. How can a platform have reliable reviews if they aren't verified? You could literally write anything on there and get away with it. They don't care that this hurts smaller businesses as 5 or 10 reviews will make a huge impact on your ratings. It's ok of you run a company with 500 people as the good would probably outweigh the few bad eggs.

Very frustrating but doesn't seem to be anything that you can do to resolve it if someone is out to defame your company.

Glassdoor
September 9, 2018

The website is completely inaccurate. 1. They don't even have the right CEO listed. They have someone who was a fill-in CEO for 5 mins. 2. The glowing reviews of my agency are completely wrong. People are leaving left and right and of course, I am job hunting (the very reason I'm on glassdoor in the first place).

Unfortunately we paid with debit card so our $103 weekly budget wasn't delivered due to system crash yesterday and guess what,?
Instead of delivering our paid in full purchase the following day they cancelled the order and made us reorder yet problem is our $103 is now gone for the next 7 days until it is reimbursed. So now we run out in the morning and cant place order since Grassdoor hasn't figured out how to use software that delivers the following day.

I honestly love Grassdoor most of the time yet there's no excuse for this cluster@#%!

Money doesn't grow on everyone's trees and Grassdoor has essentially withheld our money and refused to deliver product the following day.

Please upgrade to a more modern ecommerce software so our $103 never gets withheld for up to 7 days again

I quit my job over a year ago due to management in which I wasn't happy with them. They threatened to fire me after I was pushed by a office co-worker. I decided to post my comments on Glassdoor.
But, Glassdoor claimed that "Your trust is our top concern, so companies can't alter or remove reviews.
However, several of former employees did posted their comments about the companies and without warning; their negative reviews were removed, only the positive comments were put.
Something is very wrong with the Glassdoor and my former company. I believe there is a secret handshake going on.
Shame on you, Glassdoor for preventing the real victims posting their claims and comments on glassdoor and you violated our first Amendments.
We have no way of making libels, just to express our words letting the public know what was going on with our corruption company that I used to work.
