Dishonest practices

If zero star was a rating, they would deserve it. Please don't waste your money. The shoes are not made in Italy as they state. It's not real leather, it's plastic, worth about $9.99. They remind me of PayLess shoes, they are of such poor quality. I hope at least one person sees this and opt to buy shoe from Thomas Bird. You'll see the quality and the difference in the craftsmanship. They are made it Italy and certified as so. There are no refunds, even if you cancel 10 seconds after purchasing them. They do this because their product is garbage.

Please don't spend your money here. The shoes are of poor quality and their refund policy is nonexistent. They lie, don't pick up your calls and then direct you to some pseudo, fake return policy that is not visible on the website. They email it to you when you question where on the site this information was listed. It's not there when you go to place an order. I hope one person sees this and decide to go with a reputable company. The are truly dishonest. Oh, BTW, the shoes are plastic and made in China, not in Italy, as they state.

Buy with confidence

I designed and ordered a pair of Girotti shoes. The website is awesome, very easy to use, and what a fun idea to get to create your own shoes! My order arrived to Canada sooner than expected. The shoes looked beautiful, very well made, no defects, exactly as expected, but they did not fit right on my feet. I asked for a return and remake with a changed model and size and got it approved. My new pair came to Canada in a month time, and they are gorgeous and they fit perfectly. The support person also asked that I donate the first pair to charity rather than return it. I am very happy with my shoes and with the level of service! I will definitely buy more shoes from the one and only Girotti.

The nightmare continues

Finally the shoes after a long wait. They were not at all as pictured, plus were too small - not the size they were supposed to be.
Tried contacting Girotti repeatedly - no reply. I'm giving up and tossing the shoes in the donations pile. $200+ and all the time and frustration make for an expensive lesson to learn. Luckily, you can learn from my experience and save your money.

I ordered my shoes a month ago. Pretty promptly got an email that the shoes were being shipped. After that, nothing. No shoes, no communication. Tracking number shows error. The phone goes to voice mail and calls are not returned. Emails are answered by the same standard form email they sent me three weeks ago, ignoring my requests and questions. At this point I'm pretty sure my shoes are either lost or were never shipped in the first place. I wish I had checked their reviews before giving them my money. The whole thing appears to be a sham.

RUN! DO NOT ORDER!

I placed an order in August 2021 for a pair of shoes. Nothing special. Nothing custom. Just a size 10. After countless emails requesting help, it is now 2/11/22 and still no shoes. They won't cancel as they say they are custom. My credit card company will cancel. This has been a complete nightmare.

First, they consider ANY order a custom order. That includes purchasing a normal size of a standard model right off of their site. I am not certain what there turn around time is, as after a month they have still not arrived despite being 'on their way' for the last two weeks. The even I had ordered them for has come and gone. They have refused to cancel the order, work with me on price to cover my shoe rental expense, provide any level of real customer service. They said it would be 'illegal' to refund any portion of my order which was a laughable response. Then a week ago they went on sale 25% off which would have easily covered my shoe rental. Whatever the case, I wouldn't engage with this company for any reason. Awful customer care, and I still haven't received the product.

I ordered 3 pair so far. These shoes are it! At first I was afraid to order because the shoes are made and shipped from Italy but they arrived exactly when the website said. My wife and friends are impressed. I'm absolutely satisfied and will be ordering again very soon.

Go green

After seeing the reviews some may be leery, but i had a great experience! I NEVER write reviews but I had to this time. I ordered these green shoes that look amazing! Very well made! I will definitely purchase again. Only this it took much longer to arrive than promised BUT It was worth the wait!

Putting Italy To Shame

Girotti shoes epitomises everything that is wrong from an Italian run production company. False promises, diabolical service and lack od accountability. They charged for express service and after 3 weeks no delivery, when contacted and questioned they refused to accept express was quick delivery. To top it all, they took payment in advance, no shoes have arrived and they refuse a refund.

Very disappointed
November 2, 2021

It took over a month for me to receive my shoe and shoes were poorly made. Could smell shoe glue all over it. Their customer service was very poor when I wanted make changes to my order. Am very disappointed with their product and will not recommend anyone to buy from them.

I ordered custom shoes - both design and fit, from Girotti and the didn't fit. As per their terms and conditions they say their policy is they will remake custom shoes once. But they refused to remake, exchange, or allow for a return. I purchased from them for the first time based on their policy. Terribly disappointing. Communication was also poor. I recommend anyone that experiences the same to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.

Top notch shoes

This is my third pair from this store and I am more than satisfied with the shoes I ordered. I am planning to order a travel bag as well, but can't find many reviews on Girotti bags. If someone has experience with them I will appreciate any feedback.

Dear all
My experience with them was extremely bad and disappointing. It takes a long long time for production and delivery (if they are delivered).
Out of 3 pairs: 1 pair does not fit at all and I never received the 2 other ones!
Cherry on top of the cake, they refuse to reimburse me!….
I strongly recommend to avoid this shop.

My patients is waning

Ordered a pair of shoes took some time to come They just didn't fit The shoes instep was too long for my foot.
So they said sorry we only do returns if the shoe is damaged. I explained to them that I wasn't looking for a refund I just wanted credit to purchase another style, with a shorter instep, that would be more suitable for my feet. They agreed, but now I'm waiting weeks for the return address label This company has poor customer service I'm still waiting

I purchased some boots from this company months ago but they were too small. So on top of paying $159 for the boots, I spent another $60 sending them back. I have reached out to Girotti several times but they refuse to respond. The thing is most of their reviews come from overseas. When they deal with Americans the reviews are bad. This indicates they do not respect us as a culture and it cost them too much to stand by their promise of "free return" & "free remake." At this point all I want is my money back. Remember, it is worth paying more to get better service and a better product. If you are from the United States please do not consider this company. They will quickly take your money but evade you if there are any issues. The "One and only" Italian Girotti will evade you make you feel regretful. My fellow Americans, we deserve better.

Goofy company. As lovely as they are, Girotti shoes simply won't fit if your feet are over size 9. I'm a 9.5. I sent them precise measurements and a paper pattern. Got the shoes, very quickly, and they were beautifully made. But they were too small. I sent them back and asked for a half size larger. They sent back the first pair, and told me that they don't make shoes over size 9. I asked for the men's size. No response. Then they sent me another pair. Precisely the same--they didn't fit either. On this second go, they didn't respond to my requests as to what to do next, and didn't issue a refund. So I have two identical pairs of shoes, neither of which fit. And it's not a language issue--I was dealing with the New York office.

Pervert central

Stay clear. They website is appealing and fun too design your own shoes. However what comes after is disturbing. I ordered 2 pairs extra large width 39. What I got is 2 pairs of extra narrow 39. I started return and refund process and had to escalate to Paypal resolution after being disgusted with they customer service asking for pictures of my feet. Yes, and this is after I provided them with 22 images showing measurements of they shoes at A, B and C areas. They customer service is set up to test customer via no reply, circular reference, repeat request for information they are just replying to (play dumb big time). I think they are high. Giving 1 star because I cannot give no star. There are many shoemakers on the internet. Girotti is Grrrrr

My evaluation is on the Girotti brand which makes us believe that this product is Italian made in Italy but when you receive it there is nothing written either on the box or on the shoe either Girotti or made in Italy them answer me "Please note that generally in Europe people expect minimal branding and stamping on high-end products, because it looks more discreet and stylish. This is why we, as an European company, have made the conscious decision to avoid having big brand logos on our products and only include discreet branding on the insole of some pairs." I don't believe that, let's see a shoe made in Italy has a greater value than made in china. If nothing is written, they are unable to write it, false representation. If you want shoes made in Italy do not order that.

Bad experience

I had very bad experience with this company, earlier during the summer I would pair of sandals, and they were good.
Unfortunately, next pair of shoes I ordered in the same size as previous ones came much too tight, so I called them and they sent me another pair which supposed to have bigger width.
Unfortunately, there was no difference between the first and the second pair they sent me, so I looked it up with having to useless shoes, and the company refused to return my money or exchange it.
I have to mention that I don't have any problems with my feet. I am buying shoes in regular stores and this was very best experience I ever had with shoes.

Sizing is way off

I am used to buying European shoes and I'm very familiar with the sizing. I ordered to size 9 American. They were so big that my heel was coming out of the boot I tried to tighten them and they are as tight as they can be with laces and they're still way too big. They fit more like a 9 1/2 or a 10 so I called them and I told them that's nice that they would make another pair and these are so small I can't even get my foot in it so they're more like a 7 1/2 or an eight I can go to them again I said don't you have a size in between these shoes and she said no, there is a 0.6 cm difference in the shoe sizes. I looked it up an American half sizes we have a 0.3 mm difference so it makes a big difference in the size of the shoe now I'm stuck with two pairs of beautiful purple leather lace up boots, and I can't wear either of them.
