I have never had any issues with Gettington. Maybe it was the particular items I bought I don't know. I just know that I will miss the products they do offer. But on the bright side, I do shop Country Door and Grandin Road along with Wards and Ginny's to name a few so all will not be lost. Good luck to those who will now be laid off etc...

Update: The company is closing, that's why everyone's accounts are being closed. Why couldn't they just tell people that?

I paid my bill down to the very last payment for $68 which will be due Mid-May. I was never late and used the account responsibly, only making another purchase once the last one was paid off and never returned anything. The next thing I know, I receive a notification from Experian stating my Gettington account was closed/settled due to inactivity. I never received any notice at all from the company and my credit score has increased by 53 points this year so they can't even say their annual financial review for me was derogatory. Very bad business practice.

Jacket for Xmas
December 10, 2020

Never received a jacket i ordered 3 weeks ago for Xmas gift. Called customer service three times. I have to go through so much to try to solve. There still trying to charge me. The worst policy I've ever heard of.

Sad to see you go

I've never had any bad service from Gettington. Paid my bill on time and sometimes make an early payoff. The last thing I bought was a dining table and chairs. It was perfect! The best table I've ever purchased. I hate to see you go Gettington you will be missed in this household.

My account was closed for no reason without my knowledge. I was getting ready to make an order, but found out that the account was closed without any notification or any phone call. Terrible way to conduct business. Worst of it all, I can't reapply for a credit application through Gettington. This is not the way to treat your valuable customers that have done great business with you in the past. Gettington needs to be investigated on how they conduct business with dealing with their customers going forward.

Beware! This company has a habit of closing accounts without your knowledge while affecting your credit history. They do not stand by the products they sell. They are overpriced by up to 2x the value on some items. Supervisor VIC employee number 410 is un help and made an excuse for another person named ALAN who contradicted another employee named Alexa. I waited two weeks for them to fix the issue on my account only to here lies being spun. Also... I believe the supervisor VIC and ALAN were the same person I spoke to and all they did was lie to me. They have lost my business and trust.

They have the worse made products and don't stand by their product. If you have a return you have to pay to return and they decide weather it's returnable after u pay for shipping then send it back or throw it away with no credit to your acct. Their customer support is horrible. They don't care about their customers. I gave them one star only because I had to.

Stay away from this company, I am reporting them for unauthorized activity using my bank account. Two Transactions were done, one for $685.50 and other for $500 and are already cleared from my bank account. This is the second time they tried to mess up with my finances. I am wonder how many people they are stealing using bank accounts. I am reporting this activity.

Gettington wants you to keep ordering or they will reduce you line or credit If you don't order in a lot they will close your account with out any notice this hurt you credit score when they close your account their item s are way over price any way and real poor customer service

I had a balance $37.00 and paid it off. The next month I received an alert that I had a balance of $20. I received a call from an individual repressing Gettington, stating my payment of $20 was past due. I explained to her that my balance was paid off. Meanwhile, chickens are crowing in the background. She confirmed that my balance was paid in full, but gave me a number to call. She was unable to explain the discrepancy.
Yesterday, I received notification that my balance is now $40,
I know they have gone out of business, but it seems that these people are scammers. I have reported it.
Word to the wise: Monitor your balances.

I initially opened an account with Gettington to help further build up my credit. For five (5) years I ordered items here or there, and always paid the balance off within 30 days. Got my credit score up to a 775. This week my score took a 25 point hit. After investigating why, I discovered that Gettington closed my account (without warning to me), causing my available credit to drop by $1500 and my credit utilization to rocket to over 30%. My average age of credit also suffered because this was my 3rd oldest open account. They penalized me for being a responsible consumer by not ordering their overpriced items unnecessarily during an economic downturn. You heard me right. My reward for being a loyal customer for 5 years, with not one late or missed payment, not one bit of drama, by kicking me in the nads for no reason! Forget you too, Gettington / Webbank / Fingerhut!

They closed my account because I have yet to order. It's not my fault they didnt have my size for the item I wanted. And then they said they not accepting reinstatement or new credit applications. Sounds like financial trouble for them.

I've been buying from gettington for 3 years and have never had a problem. I don't work for them & am not being paid to leave a review. I've ordered furniture & kitchen appliances. All have been delivered quickly in brand new condition & cheaper than other online retailers. Often they have free shipping promotions so I suggest getting on their mailing list and order bulky items during promo times. I started with $500 credit but now it's almost $3000. They allow you 22 months to pay back with nominal interest fees. It's great to build your credit.

After they sent my item to the wrong state and I immediately made them aware of it, someone in India suggested I drive from Florida to New York to change my address. Sounds reasonable to me huh? I spent a day and a half arguing with these idiots that I wanted to just be refunded because I will never see the item and they kept asking for my social security number. At least 10 times! I said you don't have a chance in hell of getting it and if you ask me one more time, I'm climbing through the phone you idiot! I usually am well restrained but this is why the US better stop farming out chunks of their business before it's too late.

First Of all I've had them for a couple years! Very addictive! :) Good Quality products, Huge selection, Great sale prices from time to time, Fast delivery and easy to set up automatic payments. Some people I see here complaining seem to either pay their bill late and Don't expect a call for payment, Or are notorious Returners!. Give them a chance. Great Company *****

First of all i just wanted to say this company has been incredible to me. They approved me when no one else would, and i thought they would be as high priced as fingerhut but they are NOT! I purchased a 42 inch TV from Gettington, and i got it cheaper than Best Buy and 200.00 cheaper than fingerhut. This was my fourth purchase with them, they have good interest rates (14% if you pay off within 4 months or 19% if you pay off over 2 years or less depending on how much you spend) and are very dependable with name brands. Thank you Gettington for not taking a HUGE advantage of people who are just starting out with credit!

Gosh, I am shocked to read some of these reviews. I have been a customer for several years and have bought numerous "name brand" items (Dyson, Canon, Apple) without a single issue. While I agree some prices are a bit higher than what you might find in big box stores, the convenience of ordering online and being able to make flex payments is what made this company attractive to me. They also offer great deals with online coupons and free shipping. Just bought a Dyson hard floor cleaner with free shipping for $227 dollars. Research this product, it retails for almost $300! I find that to be a great find.

Ordered items mid October. Items were never received. UPS claims that delivered, but never did. Filled out affidavit along with police report. Everytime I contact Gettington team, constant run around. It's now December 1,2016, still have not receive credit of over $350.00 on my account. Supervisor has been telling me for weeks now, it's still under investigation. When I'm done and satisfy with credit on my account.

I'm done with this company. No letters, no follow-up customer service does not exist.

Please buyer beware! If you choose to purchase a beaten up, piece of junk product that wont last more than a season, then finance it to establish credit, they will sell your information to more than one collector to hurt your credit and then take money from you and never settle your account or update it or even remove it. They are scum. There customer service is not helpful and pretend to be dumbfounded when presented with a problem. Please I made the mistake of allowing myself to be a victim, save up and buy in cash. These are seedy businesses you would never find working with the average people, they prey on those with not so attractive credit.
