Geico is the shadiest most scumiest company ever! I am picking up a brand new car tomorrow! With the addition of this new car my insurance is going through the roof. I am talking stupid pricing thanks to living in NJ. Well Geico gave me the best rate by $500. They qualified me and I committed to them. I give them my credit card. As soon as they go to run payment their story changes. Now they need to verify something and send me something in the mail and it can take 3 weeks. Are you serious? 1 hour on the phone trying to give you my business for 2 cars and 2 condos (not 1 but 2). Is the $500 even worth the hassle at this point? I am frustrated! The amount of time I have invested in car insurance shopping far exceeds the value of the dollar figure that I am going to save! Moral of the story…suck it up and go work harder to pay for the things you want!

All I can say is, thank goodness they're not my insurance company. But I have just spent the last hour trying to make a payment for a relative who is hospitalized and they couldn't care less. Don't mind so much if there is a wait time, although I find it annoying to listen to the same loop OVER AND OVER about how you should just hang up and stop bothering them; but to be told there is a twenty minute wait time and then repeatedly hung up on at the nineteen minute mark is beyond the pale. I would try to find an insurance company that it is possible to contact, if I were you.

Rate Games played
August 31, 2022

I have had Geico auto for 10 years. In the last 4 years my rates increased 40%. No claims, No tickets and my vehicles are only getting older so lower values. I only get canned repsonses from them and can only text to them. No customer service, no customer loyalty and only use the "statewide" increases, higher replacement costs (my vehicles are 7 and 18 years old so doubt they would replace), higher med. Costs (not up 40% in last 4 years and they only cover limited amt of medical on my policy) and inflation (not 40% over the last 4 years). No consideration for me being low risk and no claims. Just price gouging and I think it's a shame they are so poor at customer service.

I've been a loyal Geico customer for over 30 years but am deeply disappointed with a recent incident. My auto insurance policy was canceled due to an AutoPay malfunction. This was shocking as I received no prior notice of any payment issues.
Upon reinstatement, my premium was raised by 25% - an unwarranted increase that I was told was my fault. A supervisor named Trisha demonstrated a complete lack of empathy, even suggesting that I file a complaint with the NYS Department of Financial Services.
The poor service and unfair treatment I've experienced are not what I've come to expect from Geico. It's disheartening to see this lack of customer care and it indeed will negatively affect the company's reputation if not addressed. I'm seeking a satisfactory resolution to these issues from the NYS Department of Financial Services.

After 11yrs and 7 mo. Of paying a high cost premium insurance on 2 people, NO tickets, NO accidents and NEVER LATE paying my bill. My windshield cracked from the passenger side to the drivers side from a nick that happened when a rock flew off a truck 2 yrs prior. I went online and submitted a claim and was told that I would have to pay 500 dollars deductable, so I called and waited 25 minutes to speak to someone who finally told me that Since the replacement would be less that 500 dollars, geico will not pay to have it replaced and that I will have to pay for it. What good is having insurance if I cant use it when I need it. And why should I have to pay twice. Shopping for another company as you read this. Check your policy people!

It was the most pleasant experience. Having agents that have many years of experience who were able to help us. Because they are NOT commissioned everyone helps each other. The ladies in the office were great. Special cudos to Tyanne Kelly - senior agent. We switched from AARP Hartford - GEICO premiums saved us over $750/year. Fellow AARP Hartford customers check out GEICO. Hartford is no longer an affordable option for us SENIORS. Thank YOU Ladies!

A Frustrating Experience
December 5, 2023

**Review of Geico's Driving App: A Frustrating Experience**

I regret to share my disappointing experience with Geico's driving app, particularly in relation to its accuracy in assessing driving behavior. Initially marketed as a tool to save money by promoting safe driving habits, the app has proven to be a source of frustration and inaccuracy.

The app's claim of accurately measuring driving behavior seems far from reality. Despite driving responsibly, the app often indicates otherwise, suggesting phone usage or other inaccuracies that are not reflective of the actual driving experience. This has led to negative reviews, an issue I've personally encountered.

Attempts to address these concerns with Geico's customer service have been met with limited success. Despite contacting them multiple times, the response has been that there is nothing they can do about the inaccuracies reported by the app. This lack of resolution is disheartening, especially when considering the potential impact on insurance rates.

Comparisons with other insurance providers, such as Progressive and Allstate, reveal a stark contrast. These competitors utilize similar driving apps without the reported issues. Geico's failure to distinguish between actual phone usage and background processes is not only inconvenient but also raises concerns about the app's reliability and the fairness of the associated insurance pricing model.

For those seeking a reliable driving app to save on insurance premiums, my advice would be to steer clear of Geico. The frustration caused by inaccurate assessments and the lack of resolution from customer service make it an unreliable option. In the competitive landscape of insurance providers offering driving apps, Geico falls short, and I would caution against choosing them for this particular feature.

Geoic doesn't cover up full 100 percent amount OEM. Their phrase is likely to the OEM which is Aftermarket.
Geoic ISN'T CHEAP. Im paying 1700 dollars in 6 months for one car
They only covered up to 61 percent of the OEM. If you have expensive car. Do not chose them as insurance. NO, I DONT WANT AFTERMARKET. YOU NEED TO PAY FOR OEM PART THAT WAS ON THE CAR.

Constantly increasing
September 12, 2022

They always make some excuse about why they keep increasing they always say a statewide thing but I've come to find out that geico is a rip off they are the only ones that keep increasing people's bills by $40 every time renewal and I'm sick of it no accidents no tickets over the age of 49 and I'm still getting increases in my car insurance I don't understand it and I'm over it and their customer service the possible worst they come up with every explanation of giving you a reason why the increase instead of saying we value you as a customer let me see what I can do they don't care

Geico is a total SCAM
August 15, 2023

Geico is a scam company, please do not believe what they said to you!
I was informed and confirmed by the representative on April 6 that adding an extra name into the same vehicle as me won't get extra charge and the price increased is because of National wide increases.
When I cancel the policy they said I owe the balance of adding extra name to the policy.
Informed that I had representative confirm with me that it was for National wide increase not for adding an extra name.

They said because they have provided the coverage they will need to charge for it.

Basically, doesn't matter how they clarify the quote or your billing even they have confirmed that adding an extra name won't have extra charge or they tell you the incorrect information in which they won't be responsible for it.

Even it's their fault you must pay for it because they have provided the coverage to you!

Be careful record every phone call if you are speaking with Geico.

Be careful and ask the details of policy in text as evidence.

So, I have been a longterm Geico insurer for over 20 years... Yes, they used to say how thankful they were. But every time I tried to shave my bloated policy down, I got the runaround. So, I moved it to Liberty Mutual, because they are Geico, at least Geico owns them. Recently my significantly ADHD son who works 2 jobs to survive, was at a full stop and mildly rear-ended another car, he thought had moved on. Happens. Because he was exhausted, going home to eat then sleep, probably in a little shock and again, has ADHD, he grabbed the insurance docs out of the glovebox. Those happened to be mine. Now, because of a loophole, LM won't connect us with the drivers and insists that I have to run it through them and hike my coverage up! Companies love to bury these little rotten easter eggs in the 20-30 page legal docs and burn their customers, acting like its the customers fault for not reading that book.

If you're smart, you'll stay away from this joke/jokes. BTW - the jerk who just kept repeating company policies name was Robin Copass, who apparently was very astute at reciting all the rules and pointing out my ineptness, but had zero compassion.

GEICO so disappointed in your customer service and coverage! I have been a faithful and safe customer for 17 years and the FIRST time I have to make a claim, they won't take care me as a loyal customer! Such a shame to take my vehicle away from a working mother for MINIMUM TWO WEEKS to get a correct estimate, take my vehicle apart so it's not drive-able and ask for me to pay out of pocket for a rental while you do a job that I pay MONTHLY for! PATHETIC!

You should be ashamed of yourselves and just lost a loyal customer of 17 years!

Geico refuses to refund me $1045. 00 after claiming to have sent a check multiple times. I cancelled my homeowners insurance policy prior to taking effect back on September 4,2018 after having an issue with Geico regarding my car insurance policy. I was told that I was going to receive a check within 10-15 days which I never received. I called Geico in early November and I was told that they will cancel the original check and reissue payment and that I should receive the new check within 10-15 days. I called Geico again in mid November and multiple times since regarding my refund and I was told to wait a few more days. I called again today January 16,2019 and they're claiming that a new check will be issued and that I should get it soon. I requested Geico make a direct deposit into my account because I don't believe they're sending the check. I was told that they can't direct deposit to my account. I then asked for a certified mail delivery of the new check and I was told that someone will contact me within 48 hours to see if it could be done. I filed a complaint with with the BBB regarding my vehicle insurance back in September 2018 and I I believe someone is retaliating by not issuing the check. My Address, Name, ZIP Code has not changed and my mail is delivered 6 days a week by the US post office. There's no excuse to have to wait months for a refund check.

I am a travel nurse working in colorado and was in a car accident on January 17th 2023.
Police report deemed it not my fault.
Other driver's insurance "Geico" took 100% responsibility. Since then i have had nothing but problems with the insurance adjuster.
I am a travel nurse so colorado is not my home so therefore i need a rental vehicle.
Per law the insurance company of the driver at fault has to cover the other drivers rental until vehicle is repaired.
I had to return my rental today because i found out the insurance company stopped paying the rental on May 5th. I was unaware. I called the insurance company and they gave excuse after excuse saying we were reasonable for even giving you this rental this long.
Again, i was not at fault for this accident. I am not even from here.
I had to come up with almost $800 today plus an additional $200 that I already paid earlier for a rental from this accident.
I am again not at fault and just traveling out here for my job.
Feels to me like they are doing some illegal things and just want to get compensated the money that i should have never owed.
I have been without my own vehicle for almost 5 months and now this.
I still don't know how i am going to get to work this week. " i am a healthcare worker" i care for you and your loved ones.
This has caused me nothing but stress and anxiety in my already stressful life.
My adjuster has been nothing but rude and disrespectful to me.
Her name Yana Fowler, she is an adjuster for Geico.
Phone number for her is *******137
