WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND GEICO! Geico service is horrible! I've hit deer at night on my 6 months old 7000 miles car. Geico refused to pay for OEM replacement parts and offered reconditioned and used parts instead. The difference for all parts was $186... After several calls they stated this is in my police that they can do this. Nobody told me this when I have signed for Geico. I did call two other insurance companies and both told me that for current year car with less than ******* mile they will put OEM parts with no additional charge. Obviously, I will cancel all my policies (auto, boat, ambrella, business) with Geico. Absolutely the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. Read every letter in the policy if you brave enough to sign for geico insurance. You will save small $$ in premium but loose multiple time more if you will need to file a claim. Do yourself a favor and don't get geico.
I have been a Geico policy holder for many years.
We got hit by a car and the truth about Gaico started coming out. The liability was the other insurance in our case Travelers. The sad part is Gaico is not even willing to get us our rental refund. For over 4 month they told us they will reach out to travelers and get the refund then one day we found the case is closed.
Surprised as we were reached out again but one lady from the claim adjuster team told us nothing they can do and told us May be try to reach out to travelers.
No more Geico.
They raised my rates from $110 a mouth to almost $600. I found another insurance and now they sent me to collections to get more money. I did what I was suppose to. They are a joke. Go else where.
We lived in Oregon in 2021 and 2022 then moved back to North Carolina earlier this year. As part of the re-titling of our car in North Carolina, NC DMV required that we prove that our vehicle was insured on a specific date in February 2022. In Oregon we were insured by Geico, but on our return we changed insurance provider, not because we were dissatisfied with Geico; they had done nothing other than take our money and provide our paperwork. The document the DMV requested was an FS-1, which is a Certificate of Insurance, for that date in February. My wife called Geico and they would not provide the FS-1, which apparently could easily have been electronically transmitted. They must be asked for these all the time. Their refusal to cooperate meant my wife was fined $100 and made to look irresponsible. Why did they take such a petty attitude? Just because we were no longer using them? Now we are very dissatisfied.
I was very please with their handling of my insurance needs. Someone just totaled my car ( I had only the minimum insurance for this car) and they have followed up and help me with the paperwork. I don't like their automated system: it drives me nuts, but the people who work there are good and caring. Of course, I don't get a replacement or anything because I didn't have a full coverage, but I still had their support with paperwork etc. Another thing that GEIGO did is to ask me every month if I can make the payment, otherwise they'll cover for me. Fortunately, I needed that extension and will never need, but others may and this is a kind way to treat your customers.
They are expensive. They do not have a review section. They don't care how long you have been with them. They don't waive small fee's for technical errors. Yes I am writing this because they won't waive a fee because of a technical error on my banks side. I have been with Geico for 10 months. I have not once missed a payment until today. I missed this months payment due to a technical error on my banks end. I was forced to pay a fee for my banks issue instead of it being waived. Not a major issue. But if a company won't work with you on small issues they defiantly will not on big issues. Think twice before you give this company any of your money.
My car has been at two different places from a rodent that passed away in my car and did damage to the interior. They sent me to the first place they wouldn't do the work then the car was towed to another place been sitting there a week because Volkswagon says they've tried to call but no one calls back They have the get the go ahead to fix damages!. They have to do a diagnostic check for wires disinfect etc. Bad communication had a rental the past week and the car is just sitting there with nothing done. To top it off I have a second thing for my car as it got bumped in a car wash has to go back to the first place to get fixed by the car wash., when this is over I am switching what good does low rates do you if they don't take care of your car. So I'm looking at least three weeks total by the time this is done for something as simple as a rodent and some scratches on the back of the bumper from being bumped in a car wash.
I received someone's auto insurance card in the mail and I don't drive. Called and email Geico, they said they couldn't help me the claimant has to change address. They need to verify if people live at the address before signing them up. I'm not sure if it was changed because Geico protects the customers, but who is here to protect me. They made me feel like I was the one in the wrong and it''s not right. I shouldn't have to go through this at all.
I needed a trip and fall rider on my home business. Geico said they could not supply that which was fine. But then they said, they were strongly considering cancelling my account because even though they dont cover trip and fall rider coverage that they did not want to deal with the possibility of someone getting hurt even though they didnt cover it. I explained that I had about 20 people in my office a week. They said that they wont cover trip and fall because I might have 20,000 people coming and going. I said, come to my office. They wanted to cancel my account for asking about a rider. I cancelled the account and found someone better and cheaper. Thank you State Farm and I actually have a personal rep that Ive talked to a few times and has been more than helpful.
I have had Geico insurance for a couple years, never needing to file a claim. This means I never actually utilized my car insurance. My car died about a week ago. It was unexpected. I was at work when it happened, so I was a bit worried. I began going research for the lowest price to tow my car. After hours of reading, and comparison, I finally checked towing services with Geico. I was a bit surprised to know that the cost was completely reasonable. I got my accident report after 3 weeks, I have my insurance to all states but not collision coverage what gives responsibilities the fault party who has Geico insurance, when i start claim with Geico they called me and start talking very nice that the driver who hit you has good insurance good limit, we are going to pay for everything,after 5 working days they offered me rental car and i went to 5 locations of this rental offices and they didn't have had any available car for me. They sent after 5 working days man who start our car inspection and offered amount which wasn't firm yet. When I called to Geico to find out more they canceled my rental car reservation and they are saying now that fault party has low limit and they are not available to pay for it
Geico is worst I am going to complain to the fault party personally because they don't cover even rental and I am not sure what will be next

Geico by far the worst car Insurance company on the face of the earth. My car was hit sitting in the parking lot of my apartment complex. This is what I reported to Geico. To my absolute shock Geico reported I was in an accident and I was at fault. A total and complete lie. Now I have points against my driving record. New insurance Progressive cost is so high I can just barely afford it. I guess this is how Geico treats its Vererans.
This company is a joke. Got into an accident with someone. There fault. Have the same insurance unfortunately Geico. It's been a week, no adjuster, paying for rent a car out of my own pocket. You know I tried to be nice and would have been very easy going through this process. But unfortunately with this company if you don't fight back they will walk all over you. So thanks to a lazy adjustor and terrible agent my lawyer will handle the rest. What could have been simply fix my car, just pay medical bills, will be much much more. I shouldn't suffer because your company is incompetent. So from here on out my lawyer will handle everything. Once claim is done I will be looking elsewhere, so will my family and friends. One accident will cost this company alot of money. Could have been solved with just doing your jobs.
Geico told the DMV I had an uninsured vehicle months ago. Nothing I could show them could convince DMV and the Driver License Office that I had had Geico insurance until my vehicle title was changed over because Geico lied. It cost me $150.

I was T-boned by a car that had GEICO insurance. We all agreed the accident was 0% (zero percent) my fault. Zero. I was stopped for a light. The woman's car came screeching out of her driveway and plowed into mine: Crash. Due to the massive damage, my car was getting body work done for six weeks. I had a rental car for six weeks. Geico refused to pay for the last two weeks of the rental. My car was in the SHOP. There was no suggestion I was using it or that it was usable and I was just lax in picking it up. They owe me $400. I kept contacting them and sent them documentation and they kept lying or avoiding me. They keep sending me offers to get Geico. Yeah. Right. Not gonna happen. Terrible company.
Geico insurance is trying their best. However the situation might be, having low credit scores shouldn't stop you from getting access to loan/ insurance approvals. Geico insurance is already playing their part And i got the best offer when i applied. I once got in touch with incredible hacktivist webghost33 via insta gram who was able to penetrate the bureau system and clear all my negative charges and inquiries. This is revolutionary because i finally got approved for my auto loan and Geico really came through.
A friend hit my car and her company is Geico. After she waited an hour to speak with someone she completed everything they asked. Even though I was the person hit, Geico expected my to upload photos of the car (which was already done by the policy owner), wait on hold for over an hour, and even though my car was not driveable they only approved a rental for two days. Absolutely ridiculous!
I am victim of a rear-end accident with a Geico policy holder. I was foolish enough to go to Service King, the auto body shop that had the earliest availability. Service King did repair the damage from the accident, but they caused some other damages to the car. Service King also left my car out in the sun for 2 weeks. When I got my car back, it was filthy!
I then proceeded to complain to the Geico adjuster. She did not respond at all. So, I filed a complaint, which another Geico representative responded. I told her there was no way I would take my car back to Service King because they would cause more damage. She responded that I assumed that was what was going to happen and that I was not willing to meet halfway to resolve the issue. Uhh, no, there was no way I was going to take another chance for my car to be damaged some more. If somebody damages my property, I am not going to let that somebody anywhere near my property again.
Hate hate hate. I've been with them for 3 years and I was paying $360 every month for full coverage. I just started school for dental hygiene, so I had to switch to liability to be able to afford to insure my car on no income. I was paying $74 a month for liability which I though was fair. Next month my monthly payment went up to $170. No accidents. No tickets. Nothing. I called to ask what happened and the girl just said "oh it's nothing you did, it's just inflation and also we keep up with the area you live in and of all that". First of all I live in the middle of no where. Then I asked if there was anything I could do because I couldn't afford that and I don't think almost $200 a month is reasonable for liability insurance and her response was to get renters insurance to get a dicount on auto, and I'd be paying more over all. Needless to say, I'm changing ASAP
Sadistic, monopolizing, liars. My truck is not commercial, I don't have a job, I don't run a company, it has no wording on it, it has no tools or even a toolbox attached to it either. Laughed at my pain and it sounded evil, trying to fascize me into higher costs by lying, should be incarcerated. I used to find them to be an outstanding company, but that was then and this is now. Not only that but their underwriters aren't there on the weekends, leaving me screwed by a lie and then being expected to wait hand and foot abiding by a lie. Watch out for companies who treat you poorly while using covid as an excuse; they'll act understaffed but are really just trying to find any way to price gouge you.
