Always get great service, just wish rates were a little lower though. Service is always above and beyond. Claims and customer service are excellent!

I should have press charges against GEICO for what they almost did. I live in FL and at the same address for the last 10 years. I'm closing on a another home in Georgia on April 13th and today is March 30th, the day I called Geico. I told them I was going to close on a house in Georgia, gave them the address, and I had planned to drive one of my cars up there and leave it there permanently. They asked if the car registered in Georgia, i told them "no, I'll do that when I get it up there". I asked to know the premium difference. They calculated it, provided the quote, and I thought it was too high so I said okay nevermind, I'll have my significant other add this car to his policy up there. The agent proceeded to say that it's too late and that I've already declared my vehicle to be in Georgia. I immediately corrected that and said the car is not in Georgia, it's still here in Florida and will be for the next 2 weeks. This agent would not believe me! She kept saying I had admitted to it being in Georgia. It was purely insane! Knowing they record these conversations, I dared her to go listen to the recording and tell me where I said this car was currently in Georgia. She kept pushing back and said I had to prove I lived in FL by providing proof of utilities. She didn't ask to provide proof of utilities for Georgia (which I would have nothing to show because I don't live there yet!) but I had to prove I lived in FL?! I truly thought she was loosing her mind. I demanded to speak to a supervisor. She clicked to get a supervisor and was clicked over for a long time. I guarantee they were listening to the recording and I'm sure they realized I was telling the truth and was consistent in my story the entire time. She clicked back and said they would change it back after reading me a statement saying it's a felony to claim a vehicle is somewhere it's not. I immediately thought, Geico was committing a felony by not believing me. I could have pressed charges if I hadn't persisted

No insurance or assurance
December 22, 2022

Unfortunately there is not a negative star rating. I have continuously had insurance in my driving career. I had geico insurance and I will give them the little bracket of during covid, But I had an accident that was not my fault that was admitted by the other driver, I could not get my insurance agent to call me back respond or take care of my claim. The other insurance company did not Pay for my claim geico did not pay for my claim and now my truck that I owed 7 payments on is now on my credit because neither one of them are a very respectable orbit respectable or responsible insurance company. Do not waste your money with geico because obviously they will not take care of you. I have not gotten any kind of compensation for it from Geico or the other insurance. Both of them kept passing the buck over and over again until the statute of limitation was over. And now I am stuck with 7 payments left on my perfectly prestine condition truck on my credit that day stuck me with because they didn't want to pay. I had an insured motorist and that's what he was. He was not insured and he did not have a driver's license. But now I am stuck with the bill and with a ding on my credit because they did not do what we paid them to do. I have never been treated so poorly by somebody that I paid to protect me. All they did was protect themselves. My 7 payments totaled up to Maybe $8000. I guess they needed a new cage for the little lizard. This is my 1st post, But it won't be my last I will make d*** sure that everybody knows that their practices are not what they say they are. Spend your money somewhere else because they will not stand behind you or take care of you. I don't need proof of purchase of the vehicle or their c***** Is insurance.

Bad experience
June 26, 2022

If you can afford better insurance GET BETTER INSURANCE. Geico customer service is terrible, they're uncaring, unapologetic when they make a mistake on their end, and they have "policies" for everything that "do not allow them to" correct or acknowledge their errors. Here's the specifics: since moving a year ago, from a city to a suburb, I updated my address literally 5 times (throughout the year I've lived here). Because they never officially changed the policy, I kept changing it again and again. After each request to change my address, I received an email with a link to follow to request a policy change. I did that a few times as well, continuously being sent through this same loop. Long story short, I overpaid Geico $2,600 (over 6 months as it is a 6mo policy). When they finally changed my address on my policy 11 months later, my bill literally decreased by $237 a month. I did not even want to renew my policy with Geico but they did so automatically, which is also frustrating because I wanted to discuss policy changes (address, cost etc.) prior to renewing. Because I had proof of this, I called customer service (with 5 confirmation emails proving I made these changes), however it didn't matter. They obviously refused to admit or correct this because it will cost them money. They are literally stating "our company policy doesn't allow us to do retroactive refunds for address changes" lol. Whenever they want to increase your policy rates they are on top of it and it occurs automatically, but the second it doesn't benefit Geico, they have all these restrictions on what they can do to amend and/or acknowledge their errors. I had a really bad experience recently with Geico (not because of the mistake itself but more specifically since they're unwilling to provide a refund to my account). I am now going to do some research and get quotes as I plan to cancel my policy this week (which by the way, they also dont care about). Please, if you can afford to, give your money to an insurance company who cares more for their customers. I guess it is true that "you get what you pay for". Also, if you do decided to go with Geico, make sure you verify EVERYTHING (even simple address changes). The address on your account (saying this is where you park your car now) apparently doesn't count as changing it on your policy itself. Do not use the link to change your policy as it clearly does not work, just call them to change it when you move. Moving out of the city and into a nearby suburb literally saved me $237/month so pay attention and dont trust them to inform you. Also get confirmation numbers, names, etc…when making such changes; then immediately go back to ENSURE the change (to your policy) was made. Good luck.

Let me start by saying we have had coverage with GEICO for all of our vehicles for the past 31 years. This most recent claim was only the 3rd claim in over 3 decades. Our vehicle was struck from behind while at a traffic light (hit and run). The person was texting and the impact was tremendous. We used one of the companies provided by GEICO. The initial repair timeframe showed 9 days. We called on day 15 or so. We were informed that the painting was delayed due to the weather. We finally received the vehicle back after 22 days. The only repair was to paint (not replace)the bumper. Astonishing...22 days to paint a bumper. Ultimately, our credit card was charged $707 for the rental. We reached out to the claims adjuster Brianna and a refund check was mailed.

My husband was handwashing the vehicle 2 weeks later and discovered the rear drivers tail light cover was cracked. Obviously caused by the impact. We rarely drive the car as we have a company vehicle and an older SUV. We returned to the collision center (pics were taken), we reached out to Brianna and we were told to text additional pics, but no response, We reached out to customer service, posted pics and info on our online login and still it was only after repeated calls that Brianna finally responded stating..."I'm gonna say this was not related to the incident" because it was a "low hit". I was referred to and left messages for her supervisor Tyler Hubert and ultimately the representative even emailed Tyler's supervisor (Dane Palmer). We have not received a call back or email. Needleless to say it's time to look for another company to insure our 3 vehicle, flood insurance and now our umbrella policy... 372 months of monthly premiums and they have to ponder replacing a cracked tail light cover. SMH

I would like to leave here my bad experience with this insurance company that informs that it has 97% approval of its clients.
I have been a Geico customer since 2016. I have no history of accidents, no traffic violations or even parking. I have never used my Geico insurance for all these years.
In January of this year I needed to travel from California to where I live to solve some personal problems in the states of New York and Connecticut.
On March 1, another vehicle collided in front of my car, which was parked on the street in front of the house of a friend I visited. This vehicle left the scene of the accident without leaving your data as a phone or car plate.
I looked for a body shop to do the repair of my car. When I went through the data on my policy, I was informed that my car had no collision insurance which I disagreed with at that point and showed all the information on my policy.
I have in my policy the following insurance coverages: Comprehensive, Collision, Emergency Road Service, rental Reimbursement, Bodily Injury Liability, Property Damage Liability.
After much insistence on my part I was able to open a claim to make a cost estimate and request a rental car for use. At this point I had a very unpleasant surprise on the part of this company. I was informed that my case was under investigation and that I should wait for the authorizations for car repair, car rental authorization and any other procedure to be done or paid for by Geico.
The claim was opened on March 6. Today, March 16, I have no response from Geico. I have no car, I can not go back to my home in California and the answer I have is that I have to wait. Not to mention the 2 surveys done, interviews over the phone, interviews in person, calls and more calls.
Besides these problems the registration of my car sells on April 1st. From this date on, I can no longer use my car.
Therefore, it is registered here and a council to all who come to contract insurance of this company called Geico. Look for a company that respects the insured, do not believe in false promises or misleading advertisements. Geico does not have this percentage of approval, its service is horrible, its support is terrible, the process is bureaucratic and there is no respect for the client.
Unfortunately what I have left at this moment is to wait and take on all this damage that Geico is giving me. One more detail, the collision in my car affected front bumper, headlight, fog lights and a small dent in the fender. It was no major collision.
Before buying Ceico insurance, think, think and think again. There are other company options that will give you more confidence and respect.
