I bought a GE profile fridge and spent over $3K and it hasn't worked in the 2.5 weeks that I have it. GE sent a senior technician from ELITE appliances to look at their fridge, and he DUCT TAPPED the air vents so that the food in the deli drawer, and vegetable drawers would no longer freeze. He left with that as a means to manage the airflow on my new fridge! I called GE on Monday afternoon when I got home and told them this was unacceptable. They said they would call the repairman back. I called on Tuesday and asked for a manager there was none available. I called on Wed and managed to speak to a customer relations person who recalled the same technician that came on Monday to come back on Friday. Now he confirmed that he will TRY a new air tower. It will take about a week to get the part then they will call me back and set up a time to come install it. He also said he would get an extra gasket to see if that would help. I asked him if that didn't work, will I get a new fridge he said NO a they would call the engineering department and see what else they could try. MEANWHILE I HAVE NO FRIDGE. IT DOES NOT WORK. IT FREEZES EVERYTHING IN THE DELI DRAWER AND THE VEGETABLE DRAWERS. So in another week I may have a working fridge, and I may not. The ice after two weeks is still cloudy, but it's not a defective fridge right? The air leaking from the freezer does not mean it's a DEFECTIVE a fridge, and certainly the fact that it hasn't worked since the day I got it delivered from the BRICK who will not take it back until GE declares it defective, doesn't need to be done in a timely manner coz no one really needs a fridge that badly right GE! I purchase a GE French door refrigerator model GFE26JSMAFSS February of 2019. Within the first three months I had experienced some problems with the unit. I contacted GE customer service to set up a service appointment. I was giving a time block of 1-5 on June 12 for the GE service tech to arrive. Unfortunately, the tech did not arrive until after 6 pm. After diagnosing the issue I was advised that four parts were ordered and the parts should be delivered to my home witin a week. After about a week and not receiving the parts I took it upon myself to contact GE customer service. The customer service rep explain to me the reason that I had not received any parts was because one of the parts was on backorder and it did not show that the part would be available until the latter part of July. I had to explain to the customer service rep that that would be way too long considering the major issue that I was having with my unit intermittently shutting off. I was then advise that my concern and issue would be turned over to a consumer relations rep. I did receive a call from the consumer relations rep advising me that they did try other avenues to see if they could get the part any sooner and she was unsuccessful and will continue to try to resolve the issue. On July 3rd of 2019 I received a text message from the consumer relations rap advising me that GE was unsuccessful and we're going to replace my unit and that it would take 7 to 10 more business days for me to receive it. The new unit arrived July 10th and during the installation they experienced some minor issues with getting the ice maker to work properly which was one of the issues from the previous unit eventually they did get it to work, but I did afterwards experience some problems and notice some defects to the unit. I have now had to contact customer service again in order to get another service appointment. Unfortunately, I will have to monitor the issue closely until my appointment date which I had to schedule for the week of my vacation to keep missing work again for a third time.
GE Washer tub began to erode after a few months and dryer not working at all by the end of year 2!
DOES NOT WORK - TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE (THE WORST)! See the video I made and sent to GE. Brand-New out of the box, installed by a licensed electrician in the business for 50 years, and the cooktop does not work. I literally have a $3,000 non-functioning paperweight in my kitchen and cannot cook for my family. GE Customer Relations Department has been awful and has not helped us. They obviously do not care. They pretend to be helpful, but they do not help at all and they lie, lie, and then lie some more. Me and my family have been unable to cook for 3 weeks. GE has not offered us any assistance nor have they apologized. GE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ME OR YOU OR ANYBODY FOR THAT MATTER - PERIOD! I asked them to simply send me a brand-new functioning cooktop and and they said, "No, that's not how our procedures work." They said it needs a new part and they'll ship that part to me and send out a repairman to install it. I requested the part be shipped overnight. They agreed to ship it overnight. Well, the part should have arrived today, but it has not arrived. I contacted GE and they said, "Oopsie, we forgot to ship it overnight. You'll receive it in 7 to 10 days." No apology. No offer to help us financially with the high cost of eating out due to not being able to cook - NOTHING. This is the worst possible situation anyone can ever be in with a company. I literally asked their representative Amy, "Per your policy, what is the amount of time you are willing to allow your client to stew before you step in and fix the problem." Amy's answer (per the recorded phone call), "It's on a case-by-case basis." You cannot make this garbage up, folks! I do not recommend GE, and I do not recommend any GE products. In fact, I'd suggest you run hard and fast away from GE! I will be calling the BBB tomorrow and filing a report and I will also call whomever else I can think of to complain and/or fill out a report. GE SIMPLE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ANYONE BUT THEMSELVES AND THEIR BOTTOM LINE $$$. If you buy GE, you may as well bend over and get ready to scream!
I purchased a very expensive GE range, the Profile 5.3 cu. Ft. Electric Range with Steam-Cleaning Convection Oven and Air Fry. For the price, we expected nothing but exceptional performance. We've had other GE ranges we were very happy with and couldn't believe the performance of this one. This range is not self-cleaning although it was advertised as so where we purchased it. It only steam cleans and make no mistake, it does not clean. After using the steam cleaning a couple of times, the oven floor warped something terrible. It was still under warranty so we arranged for an exchange since it could not be fixed.
What happened next was a nightmare.
1)The first range sent was obviously used, wrapped very poorly and scuffed up so we refused it.
2) A second range was ordered and delivered. It looked fine on the outside but when installed the display was defective.
3) It was decided that the part could be replaced. I agreed to this but when the part was sent, no one at GE was acknowledging that it had been sent and needed installing other than to say the part wouldn't be available til late December. At some point, since service was very slow, I asked that a tech be sent to see if the part sent to my home could be installed. It turned out to be the wrong part. The tech ordered another part based on the model number. We received it but again it was the wrong part.
4) Another third part was ordered. This time, it wouldn't be available til the end of January. I agreed rather than have GE buy the range back because we figured that, although it would take time, it would be an easy fix and we wouldn't be left without a range while trying to purchase another.
5) A couple days after this, when I decided to use the air fry, it didn't work. I also suspect that the oven doesn't heat up to the appropriate temperature because it took far longer than usual to cook a chicken.
The above are just some of the problems I encountered. Their customer service created 2 different case numbers causing a huge disconnect with contradicting responses by e-mail. It turned out to be very frustrating.
In summary, I've taken just as much as I can stand with this company over quite a stretch of time. This time, I have asked that they honor their prior offer of buying it back. At this time, it still needs approval although it had been approved previously.
Never again.
I BOUGHT THIS AT THE SAME TIME I BOUGHT A GE DRYER. THE DRYER HAS NOT WORKED FROM THE GET GO. AND NOW THE WASHING MACHINE IS NOT WORKING.
On Nov 2020 my husband and I renovated our kitchen and decided to buy high end appliances. We chose GE MONOGRAM because we have had a good experience with this line. All the new appliances has worked well except for the REFRIGERATOR MODEL Z1SS480XDNBSS Serie: TR*******. From the beginning it was just a weird sound from the ice maker that we had it repair a few times and the sound would always come back...but 6 months ago started a new problem: The refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling and I have had a technician more than 8 TIMES in my house. It gets repair and one week later it doesn't work anymore. The technician has replaced several parts of the machine and the cooling problem as well as the sound problem always come back. The computer of the refrigerator also sents us to our cell phone misinformation like the refrigerator is opened (and it is not!)The technician opened the case # ******* for this refrigerator since He hasn't been able to repair it. I have felt VERY MISTREATED for GE customer service who have told I still doesn't have a case for a refrigerator replacement. I spent the whole Christmas time without refrigerator (the service didn't work much on Hollidays and right now I already have 3 WEEKS without refrigerator, waiting for some new parts arrive (which by the way I called customer service because the parts hadn't arrived and the person in charge told me the order didn't go through I had to deliver a new order!). I had to buy my own thermometers because the refrigerator always marks wrong temperatures and not the actual ones. I had lost so much money in food! And now I can only buying what I can eat soon. I went to talk to the dealer where I bought the appliances ( House of Appliances, in coral Gables). The owner, Ray said he was going to talk to his representative to open a "customer complaint" but it doesn't seem to work either.
For a client who spent ******* $ in GE MONOGRAM APPLIANCES I expected to be treated with much much respect that what I have received. I guess my next step will be to call my lawyer to sue the company...but honestly the only thing I want is a REFRIGERATOR THAT WORKS PERFECTLY FINE!
It broke within three years, spilling black oil on my sheets that were being washed.

Achat d'un ensemble laveuse/sécheuse le 19 janvier 2022 a un prix de plus de 4000$. Livré le 21 janvier 2022. Petit bris sur la sécheuse (le loquet de la porte est brisé), ce qui rend la sécheuse inutilisable. Famille de 4 (2 adultes et 2 jeunes enfants). J'ai 48h pour déclarer mon bris, ce que je fais la journée même de la livraison. On me propose une réparation et non un remplacement, je me montre compréhensive puisqu'il s'agit d'un petit bris. Appel de service fait par GE à leur sous-traitant. Rendez-vous de réparation prévu le 1er mars 2022. Les réparateurs viennent, ils ont commandé seulement 1 pièce de 2, il ne peuvent donc pas réparer. C'est reparti pour un tour, délai de livraison pour recevoir la pièce manquante, délai ensuite pour avoir un rendez-vous avec le réparateur, j'ai ai donc encore jusqu'à la mi-mai minimum. J'appel GE pour leur dire que ça n'a pas de sens.

Mais j'ai payé en ligne avec ma carte de crédit, donc j'ai déjà 2 ans de garantie. Elle ne peut rien faire d'autre, aucun rabais, aucun échange possible car ses stocks de ce modèle sont à sec.

2 years ago my dishwasher was replaced under warranty. They sent a young boy who obviously didn't have much experience setting up a dishwasher. He first installed it crooked. I Noticed my floor was warping near the dishwasher. I pulled it out only to discover a slow leak in the drain line. It was never clamped as directed in manual. My floor have to be ripped out and replace. My insurance doesn't pay till deductible is met. Total night thanks to that fake installer GE sent.
I purchased the GE Washer/Dryer All-in-One unit in December, and just a few months later, the dryer stopped working. It has now been over two months with the issue still unresolved. Despite several calls and emails, GE customer service has been completely unhelpful.
They've sent a technician three times and even replaced a part – yet the machine still doesn't work. Now, they've stopped responding to my emails and phone calls altogether. This has been an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience.
Terrible customer service and absolutely no accountability. I expected better from a brand like GE. I will never buy any GE product again, and I strongly advise others to stay away as well.
Our less than 6 month old dryer is completely broken and it has been over three months waiting for the warranty work to be done. The amount of time I have used calling and requesting better service is incermountable and still our dryer is not working and they have now pushed back out service date another 2 weeks. They do not offer compensation for being burdened by having a non working unit. From their reviews, it is easy to see that they do not care about their customers. If their plane engines are built as poorly as their appliances, we should all be afraid to fly

Answer: Yes. I have repeatedly experienced this problem for the past 5 years on my 5 year old GE Refrigerator. Using your fist or a mallet, strongly tap on the fan's surround to break ice free. It will quiet down. However, a quality appliance would not require this type of user intervention. If it makes you feel better, I built a new house with all new GE appliances ( because we liked the slate color) and every single one has issues and has been a profound disappointment. NEVER NEVER NEVER buy GE. We learned the hard way.
