G. E sucks
November 30, 2020

I bought the intire Cafe series
Plus front load washer and dryer.
Firstly I tried to order water filters for my refrigerator. Talk about a fale, first month they send a empty box, 2nd month they send me 1 filter. ( I ordered a 3 pack) 3rd time was a charm I got the other 2. One was broken. Understand that calling them is a trile all on its own. Well touch back on that.
My washer, water pump breaks again takes a week to get through to customer service finely getva app. To have repair man look at the washer. Tells me water pump is broken and they won't have a replacement untill late Dec.
Here i am back on the phone with $#*!y customer service 3 weeks before I get consumer relations only to have them tell me the part will be shipped January 17. Are you $#*!ing kidding me. I explain nicely that it is Unacceptable. That 4 months is for a part and having to wait for weeks to finally take to a rep
Is no way to treat customers. In turn she replies I can cancel my order then hangs upon me. $#*! you G. E will never purchase anything from you our related to you ever again.

Don't waste your hard earned money!
December 3, 2021

Don't waste your time with GE appliances. I bought an expensive GE dishwasher with steam, disposal and etc. It lasted 2 1/2 years then developed a major leak that that went through the floor and into my basement. It was out of warranty, of course, so I bought another one that wasn't nearly as expensive because quiet frankly, I couldn't afford anything better. This one didn't last a year and still has warranty. They scheduled a tech to come out 2 weeks later for the 19th and the tech said it was a manufacturers defect that damaged the motor and timer. Of course he didn't have the parts for this 'common' problem so he ordered them and had them delivered to my address and rescheduled for the 1st. Another 2 weeks. They sent a different tech this time that managed to make the problem worse. He damaged the timer knob apparently with a pair of pliers not to mention the knob sticks way out of place now. He also managed to screw up the latch so the door won't stay closed. He also damaged the inside of the door apparently with a screwdriver trying to remove a vent. He also managed mess up the detergent dispenser door so that it won't shut. Now the dishwasher won't get the top rack wet and won't heat the water. Now the dishwasher looks and acts like something I bought at a garage sale. I have lost 2 days work that is more money than I paid for the dishwasher and now have to wait until the 17th for another technician to show up and I guarantee you all these issues won't be taken care of. GE appliances and their repair service is the absolute worst service experience I have ever had. So much for buying American unfortunately.

I purchased a general electric side by side stainless refrigerator from Home Depot in March on 2022. After a few days, I still wasn't getting more than a glass of ice in a whole day, the refrigerator makes a roaring noise occasionally like it is going to get up and race out of the house, and the freezer side door barely shuts, it just does not seal. Home Depot says they only give you 48 hours and then it is your problem. I am a pro account member at Home Depot and spend thousands of dollars a year at their store. Then, I have to try and call General Electric, which is a hold time of several hours. One time I was transferred many times, and finally the lady tole me to hang up and dial a certain number. When I hung up and went to dial, I realized it was the same number I had dialed. I have taken off work without pay and have received four service calls. They never give you a window of when they will come, for instance, afternoon or morning. The service guy ordered a new door seal and made an appointment for three months later. The part came in a week, I called the guy, left a message to please come back before the three month appointment. He never responded. I have been driving to the bar-b-q restaurant by my house a couple of times a day and they are nice enough to give me some ice in my cups. They love my dog and they are so kind to us. I am old and on a fixed income. I substitute teach to make ends meet and having to take off work has been a problem. Also, having to pay every month for a defective product is discouraging and the wrong way to treat someone. As stated, four service calls, no help from Home Depot, spending over $2,200.00 of hard earned money, and waiting almost eight months just doesn't seem right. I always thought General Electric was a good company. BUYER BEWARE

We had a condo built and it came with GE appliances. Our brand new side by side refrigerator's freezer side was not freezing the food. After many attempts to fix it, the GE tech said it had to be replaced. We were told about two weeks for replacement by one service person. I called when that time came and a different person began to tell me we we didn't have a replacement coming, then we did but it didn't leave yet, and then it wasn't on its way, then we got an email saying we weren't covered under warranty. I called again, found out we had two account claims created by customer service reps at GE, one saying one thing and one saying the other? Was given noting but the run area d for 3 -4 weeks, they refused to put me on with a manager or send a request to head office. We finally had a fridge in transit and when the company they hired showed up the refused to exchanges the fridges because we were on the second level and they said GE doesn't pay them enough to do that job and they left! My husband leaving work to meet them there 40 mins away and left him hanging! We called GE was given the run around again. They told us to hire someone as they are not responsible either? After fighting and arguing they got the company to agree to come back and send a new team…. That team came back a week later and refused as well because GE doesn't pay them enough to go up stairs (only $20 they said they got paid) but they pay another company more money… finally after flashing $$ at them they did it in 5 minutes. They came up with no problems! They fridge however was damaged on the side from shipping. At this point we were out a fridge/freezer for about a month! Lost hours at work and money in waisted food! GE was not sympathetic. We didn't even. Other complaining about the damage on the side because we knew it was a waste of breath and not worth anymore of our time getting worked up with the careless responses we would get. Please don't waste money on GE products, if you are covered under warranty you will be taken for a long stressful ride just to get your item replaced.

I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD. DO NOT BUY A GE APPLIANCE I got my brand new $7k fridge, plugged it in and it does not cool at all. Nothing. Called service they state I have to wait up to 48 hrs to get a call from a technician. I wait, no call. Call them back they say the tech asked to reassign the service to someone else, and the customer service dept says its up to me to let them know I did not receive a call. I now have to wait another 48 hours for another tech to call, and lets be real it could happen all over again. I ask to escalate the matter and speak to a manager, they say there is not department like that, that they can create a escalation ticket but I will have to wait up to 72 hours to hear from a manager. I have no fridge, and believe me GE Canada could care less, they have your money and will not help in any way. STAY AWAY, AND DO NO BUY APPLIANCES FROM CANADIAN APPLIANCE SOURCE either, they are absolutely no help at all, they have my money (Spent of $20k on appliance there) now I am on my own. I am not posting proof but if you want to call me I would happily send you proof (service ref # *******181)

NEVER, EVER AGAIN GE
February 20, 2020

I have been dealing with GE's No-Customer Support Dept, even have a case number... I purchased their GE Adora dishwasher, had my closing 2 1/2 weeks ago the machine stopped working in less than 2 weeks, it happens I know, and it would have been fine if they even cared but nope.
Called GE they send me a 3rd party A & E to fix it yesterday, between A & E AND GE they could not pinpoint the issue but thought they had it fixed (yesterda,) today the exact same issue, blinking light, no dishwasher. I call GE 3 times, spoke to a rep that tells me yes, they have an issue with their locks, I'm sent back to A & E, I have to wait for another week before they even show up AND GE NOR A & E will be bringing ANY parts to fix the issue that GE is aware they have, but GE gave me a 3 month extended warranty on an appliance that will be out of commision for the foreseeable future, one they KNEW had problems. You would think that after making a customer wait 2 weeks (at the VERY least) what they should do is bring the parts to be able to fix the issue so that THEIR customer won't be further inconvenienced, but that would mean they actually care and want to do right.
THE ONLY REASON I WENT WITH GE WAS BECAUSE OF ALL THE BAD PRESS THEY WERE GETTING, I WANTED TO STAND BEHIND THEM... THE JOKE IS ON ME, THEY HAVE OBVIOUSLY EARNED EVERY NEGATIVE REVIEW/COMMENT.
WHAT A COMPLETE LET DOWN.

Beware! Go elsewhere. 2 attempts and $2500 later and my washer and dryer still have not been installed. Delivery guy called once, my phone rang once, I know because I was holding it when the call came in, and they left no voicemail. I called back multiple times within 5 minutes and was sent to voicemail after 1 or 2 rings. Clearly they were clicking me. I called GE Appliances and waited on hold for 20 minutes with their HORRIBLE hold music playing (sounds like roller coaster tyson music with people screaming on the rides... I'm not kidding) to get an update on the status of the order. Finally, a representative answered, checked the system, and told me they attempted to deliver it and were unsuccessful. Funny, because when they called I was standing in the lobby of my building with a notary signing paperwork for something unrelated. No delivery people were there. The "best she can do" was a next delivery 7 days from now. Ridiculous! I asked to speak with a supervisor. The rep places me on another hold, this time for 40 minutes with that HORRIBLE HOLD MUSIC! Only to come back and tell me she couldn't get hold of a supervisor and "the best she can do" is reschedule the delivery... I am now a month without a washer and dryer because of their incompetence and utter lack of respect for their customers. I missed 2 days of work and they expect me to potentially miss a 3rd? No thanks! I asked the rep to please cancel the order and refund both of the amounts (they still have yet to refund the 1st attempt which was over 5 days ago when they said they would because they couldn't install the first unit because of the "vent") and the woman stated she was unable to cancel or refund the orders. No problem. I called American Express and had the charges reversed in a matter of minutes. Thank you American Express. Never want to deal with this company ever again. Their employees should feel ashamed to work for such a bad company.

March of 2019 we bought the top-of-the-line Monogram appliances for our kitchen: double oven, stove top, dishwasher, speed oven/microwave, and café' refrigerator. Within one week of instillation, we had problems with the refrigerator and within 9 months all appliances had at least 2+ service calls on them to where each service call required parts to be replaced. Less than 2 years later all dishwasher baskets are rusted through. Never have I had a dishwasher rust; especially a high-end and fairly new one. The refrigerator had so many service calls I lost count; at least 2 a month with most being the same problem: the refrigerator section was freezing all food. Each time a service man would come out he would try something new, eventually just replacing what he replaced the time before. After the one year was up and with so many calls in on all the appliances we were forced, in a way, to buy into an extended warranty plan. It was good that we did for there were more service calls on the appliances and the refrigerator was freezing food continually. The service calls for the freezing problem on the refrigerator were occurring 2 to 3 weeks apart. A Service man would come "fix" the problem, 2 weeks later food would begin to freeze and a week later a service man would come out replace parts for the freezing problem only to have the same thing occur 2 weeks later. Today after the 11th service call in less than a year the service repair department of GE declared our refrigerator requiring excessive part replacements and thus has well exceeded the cost of the refrigerator. GE service department will no longer come out for the refrigerator, thus putting in a case number for the extended warranty company to decide what to do next. We are told most likely nothing will be done to right this wrong. It has been a nightmare from day one with GE refusing to honor their products and I know why. Their products are poor quality and do not last. Thus, we are out the high expense of buying GE high end appliances, the high cost of an extended warranty, the cost of all the food damaged from freezing, and the time and money lost from taking off work so many times throughout the almost 2 years.

I purchased a GE dishwasher model GDF645SMNES, front control. I am not at all satisfied with the control panel on this dishwasher. The buttons light up at the slightest touch, yet it is very difficult to select cycles or turn the dishwasher on. The first time I attempted to use this dishwasher, nothing at all happened. It would not start. The instructions provided in the quick start manual were useless. I called GE for help and the technician that was sent informed me that I needed an updated computer application program. I had to wait another week for this and have the technician return. I was tied up waiting for the technician to arrive during the 11 am to 11:59 pm window. No one arrived! After waiting another couple of days to have the program uploaded, I got the same results - difficulty selecting a cycle and starting the dishwasher. After the third call for service on this brand new dishwasher, I am completely fed up. I have to push the buttons very hard to get anything to happen. I requested to have a replacement dishwasher and I have been told that the dishwasher is repairable. I have been unable to operate this dishwasher without a problem and I have been placed in a loop between the protection plan people and GE with neither being willing to replace this dishwasher. I was told during my third call that my complaint is "buyer's remorse". DO NOT purchase this dishwasher. By the way, I discovered that the protection plan I purchased for $115.00 does not include replacement and GE and Home Depot Protection are one and the same. This explains why it has been useless to complain since there appears to be no incentive to replace a defective product or respond to a legitimate product complaint in a satisfactory manner. Shame on you GE!

7 month delay!?! Really?
I wish I could actually post a review about a product I purchased from GECafe, but it seems I won't be receiving the appliances that I purchased anytime soon! I placed my order for a range, refrigerator, and dishwasher through Home Depot on March 1,2021. I was given a delivery date of May 26,2021... Not great, but I had heard of delays with appliances, so not a huge surprise. Continued checking the order status and still had a date of May 26th stating ‘on schedule'. On 5/18/2021 I received an email from Home Depot regarding delivery titled "Important preparation steps for your new appliance" still giving my delivery date of May 26th. In the evening on May 24th I received a phone call message indicating that my appliances were delayed and the soonest available delivery date would be October 2nd! So you wait until 2 days before delivery is supposed to take place to inform me that I now have to wait another 4 months!?! That's really unbelievably poor customer service. Maybe you could be honest with your customers and let them know up front about this HUGE delay so that an informed decision could be made. GE customer service rep was entirely unhelpful and rather glib about the situation... I really didn't need to hear that GE was founded by Thomas Edison and has been in business over a hundred years. Telling me I can just cancel my order with Home Depot doesn't feel like you value your customers much! Well, my search for different appliances begins! I'll be sure to warn everyone that will listen to beware! Btw... please update your website that indicates these appliances are in stock at Home Depot... Clearly they are not!

Purchased model home with all GE appliance so all warranties were no longer valid. Water from fridge stopped working and had GE service tech come out on Aug 5 who ordered parts that were back ordered, but not too long. Came back out on Aug 27 and still didn't work. Ordered two more parts that were on back order even though he told me that he believed that would not fix the problem. I asked him why order the parts if he didn't think it would work. He said just to rule it out. I called GE mid Sept and said the parts would be in the warehouse on Oct 5 and would ship to use after that date. I called GE on Oct 13 and said I still have not received the parts and the first person said the parts are no longer on back order and in the warehouse waiting for the label to be printed. I asked to speak to someone else and she just gave me to a different agent who told me the parts were still on back order and didn't know when they would be in to the warehouse. She said she could leave a message with dispatch but could not give me their number, but ultimately did not give them my message as I have yet to hear from them. She said I should speak with Consumer Relations and gave me their number. I called the next day on Oct 14 to find out you can't speak with anyone unless you have a case number. Sooooo, I called customer service again to find out that the parts were on back order and "expected" to be in the warehouse on Oct 19, but that was not certain and could change. I told her about Consumer Relations and she said the ONLY way to get a case number was to be forwarded by customer service... well... I've been on hold now for 40 minutes and counting at this point. If I hang up, no case number. I could be on hold for hours...
If anyone from GE would like to contact me, feel free to reach out at *******@gmail.com.

Consumer beware
September 15, 2022

I have all of my Monogram for all my appliances in my kitchen. We have all of them under extended warranties. We have asked for the repair of springs for our dishwasher and it has taken 4 visits to get the springs repaired. Jesus Ovaando Sanchez was the first repair technician and he no only scratched our wood floors pulling the appliance out, he failed to attach the springs to fix the door. The second repair guys, Emerlin Cordero was the second technician to come. He attached the springs and repaired the door but did not install the dishwasher back correctly to the cabinet. I requested from GE to correct their last visit and now we are placed on a DO NOT SERVICE LIST. Shockingly poor customer service and technian skill. They completely misinstalled the dishwasher and missed the wood when putting it back together. I've tried and spoked with Patience in customer service. If someone in GE Corporate reads this. Please help with quality of this GE repair services. I was a big fan of MONOGRAM until now. Very dissapointed.

Around August 28th, 2020, I purchased a brand new GE air conditioner/Heater window unit from Lowe's. I spoke with a representative and they informed me that this unit blew heat so I was sold. I had a room added onto my house (start date at the beginning of September - end date around the end of October). Once the room was complete, I decided to test the air (which was in November). I noticed that the unit did not blow heat. I checked the settings to make sure I had everything right, I had it set for heat and turned up to 86 degrees, which is the max. I thought I may had been doing something wrong so I called GE appliances, they troubleshooted me through the situation and said I did everything right. There was still no heat... only cold air so she scheduled a technician to come out on last week (around December 16th). The technician looked at the unit and said everything was set right but long story short, the unit wasn't going to blow heat. His exact words were "I don't know why GE continues selling these units because they don't blow heat". I in return said thats called false advertisement. The unit clearly states air conditioner/heat and it goes up 86 degrees so why is it colder when I turn the unit on heat than when its off? The technician also told me that I would have to run the unit for over 24 hours... possibly 2 to 3 days in order for it to be room temperature. Who does that? So I have complained numerous times to GE appliances and the consumer complaints department and nothing. One representative offered me $50 but thats nothing when I have spent over $500 for a unit that only blows air. I wasted money because I could've bought an air conditioner and a fireplace. Now they want to send another technician out in two weeks. The technician isn't going to tell me nothing different than the first one... its just to save the companies reputation. It will be summer before this is resolved and I'm TIRED. I don't like my hard earned money being played with.
