Company is a JOKE. Microwave broke within 6 months. They sent in their repair crew and couple months later same problem reoccurs. It's a fired hazard and they refuse to replace it or repair it properly…Second technician came out to look at and said that first repair was DONE Improperly…Company does NOT want to responsibility for there BAD appliances…I work in construction WILL NOT recommend GE appliances to my customers EVER …..
We purchased GE Monogram fridge, double convection oven and microwave as part of a kitchen remodel (cooktop and dishwasher are Bosch). Inside of 8 years microwave has failed and been replaced and fridge has had $2K in repairs and died this morning. New KitchenAid coming tomorrow. Every appliance retailer I called said LG, Samsung, Frigidaire and GE were at the bottom of their reliability ratings. My experience supports that. Plus call GE service and it's a week for a "diagnostition" to come to your home and then another 7+ days for parts. Use 3rd party service and they try to tell you your warranty is void. All this while you now have no fridge to store your food and have thrown away $400+ worth of food. Will never buy GE again as their quality has gone downhill after the were sold to Haier.

I purchased a GE dishwasher from Home Depot in late June and it was delivered on July 4th. When I opened the door I realized that the middle rack was broken and the rails had come apart from the ball bearings. 1d the 0 days later it was repaired. After two more weeks the plastic that holds the door broke off so that the door just drops to the floor and now I have to wait for another period of time to get that fixed under warranty, most likely another 10 days. It is supposed to clean and dry well but it doesn't. The operating manual is one page and doesn't fully explain how to operate. And pressing buttons 12 times is just ridiculous. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE BUY THIS BRAND... ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. AND HOME DEPOT DOESN'T STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT. SO YOU BOUGHT IT, ITS YOURS... TOUGH LUCK TO YOU
Microwave keep blowing fuse, I brought it to their attention, the staff Jill requested a lot of info, proof documentation. I did she became a joke, Tatal wasted of time to no avail.
We purchased brand new GE Appliances October 2017. Did not take out extended warranty as l thought with new appliances, l wouldn't need. BIG MISTAKE. Our dishwasher broke down within a few months. Had it serviced, and broke down again. Replaced dishwasher, only to have to replace a 2nd time.
Outside by side fridge freezes up, and my husband has to unplug, let it sit for a few hours, and I starts again.
My washer had issues one month after purchasing. It just stops won't do anything. Let it sit and let it think it's going through a cycle and eventually it starts back up. Been doing this since day 1. Then this past week it just decides to work. Of course all of my warranties are finished. Had a local service company come out, and it's the computer system and the lock mechanisms. Apparently, he has replaced a lot of these computers in this machine. I called GE today and told the guy how disappointed we are with all machines. Told him, our old machines were over 20 yrs old and still being used by a relative. Of course, l get one explanation after another. Told the guy how disappointed l was with the appliances and the lack of empathy for consumers. I told him, as Seniors We don't have extra monies to repair these substandard machines.
It's so sad, that after 20 yrs and a new home, We decide to put out the monies for 5 new appliances, only to get garbage.
They don't care for their customers. Their appliances have frequent problems and when you call their technician then they over charge and don't even explain the problem. Never buy GE products again.
We bought a new home 3 years ago and unfortunately bought the GE appliances recommended--GE oven, refrigerator, washer and dryer. All had or have problems. The refrigerator has leaked in the water dispenser since we first used it. I called someone out to fix it when it was under warranty and the GE service person just blamed my new plumbing on high water pressure. I had that checked and that is not the problem, it is the GE refrigerator. Also, on the refrigerator to replace the filter because of the censor you need to replace it with genuine GE filters which are expensive. The GE customer service for replacement parts are terrible as the website is not user friendly and the phone personnel are not helpful either. I just tried to order replacement filters and in ordering the filter at the price given me from a recent GE letter these could not be ordered at the price given on-line nor by telephone which is dishonest advertising. Then there is my washer that leaks almost continuously and sometimes starts up on its own in the middle of the night. This is my first negative review of any appliances and I have bought several in my long life. Save yourself the frustration of using and maintaining these appliances by buying something else.

No water, alarm sounding even though doors are closed-interior lights go on and off-today is one day after the warranty expired-not getting any help from GE.

I don't often feel compelled to write customer reviews but given our terrible experience with this washer I needed to share in hopes of preventing someone else from making the same mistake. My husband and I moved into our new build in May 2019 and began using our new washer and dryer. Since day one we have been unhappy with the washer constantly being off balance. There is a reason that washers for years (and still do) have an agitator. They help to keep the clothes balanced and get the clothes/sheets/blankets cleaner. Almost every time I do laundry it is off balance and makes so much noise and moves the washer, scraping our new tile and rubbing against the dryer. 9 out of 10 times I have to pause the load and rebalance it myself. When washing blankets it never spins out to a point where it can be put in the washer and there is not just a spin function. If you do select spin it continues to add water to that load with the spin which the exact thing we don't need is more water. We have an 8 month old baby and I can't do laundry on the weekends when he is napping because the noise the washer makes when it is off balance wakes him up. Our washer is on a flat surface and we do not overload it. I always take care when washing blankets and towels to make sure it is as balanced as possible. I will be reaching out to GE to find out if we are within a return window. Do yourself a favor and do not go with this model it will not serve you well. And life is hard enough, so don't spend money on a washer that requires constant attention during each cycle.
I ordered a GE Cook Top from the GE online Appliance Store. It was never delivered and my promised refund was not credited to my credit card. Lots of promises, no action.
We just bought a house not even a year ago. The new appliance came with it. The dryer has already stopped working. It will take TWO weeks for a service tech to come fix it since it under warranty.
We got a new model GFE24 in mid June, it wouldn't get below 39 degrees. Most of the time it hovers around 41 degrees. The selling dealer came out 4 times to no avail, GE said replace it. We got another unit in September. Guess what, its just like the other one. The selling dealer suggested I ask GE to send some one out from A&E in case he was over looking something. A&E was out twice and decided to order a new board and sensor, the parts were shipped direct to me. We waited thru two missed appointments from A&E. I called GE and was told that service order has been finished, yet the news parts are still in the box they were shipped in. GE and A&E's service sucks as does the refrigerator. All I want now is my money back so I can buy a brand that works. GE says they have the right to fix it and they say the service order is closed yet here we sit with the second refrigerator that doesn't work, the selling dealer has one on there showroom floor and three other customers with the same problem. Shame on GE and A&E.

We got our GE refrigerator back in September and when it came off the truck it had a small dent on the door no problem we'll order you another door where in November and I'm still waiting for a door when I contacted GE they said the door was ordered finally the door came in this one had a dent in it so they had to reorder another door customer service isn't the best there I'm tempted to give him back his refrigerator and find another one
They said since the delivery driver said he did not do it I needed video evidence! Unreal. Here is iswhat is said back to their insurance company who handles this. I also called GE and they were zero help. UNBELIEVEABLE>
Hugo, that is an absolute misrepresentation of what happened and very disappointing to hear such a statement from the installer. He asked me to sign it when the brought it inside and unwrapped it in relation to any damage to the range, it had none so I signed it. He then slid it into place but it was not adjusted correctly, so he pulled it back out and began lowered the legs and started slide it in the space and I heard a loud grinding noise and told him to stop. Next we both discovered the gouges, after protecting the floor with my kitchen rug, and took pictures of the damage. He is not being forthright as to what happened if that is what he in fact told you I will not accept this and will continue to pursue are fair and reasonable resolution.
I sent them pictures, called them, made the driver call him before he left and explain what had occurred. I should have known they would pull this crap as they left and said they could not touch the oven again in fear of damaging the floor. They literally left it in the middle of my kitchen. GE SUCKS!
I bought cash a combo washer and dryer from the warehouse in end of Jan'21 - the machine have a manufactory defect and i contact the customer service regarding this problem in 24 hrs after we received and installed.
After 2.5 months on the phone almost everyday with the customer service people the machine is still not working - they didn't replace it as per manufactory warranty and they didn't repair it aider.
This company is one of the biggest unreliable company that i see in the last few years in the market - from sales personal to customer service personal everybody try to BS all day long. I left several messages to the managers and they never reply.
The BS that they try to sell me in the last 2-3 weeks is that the parts are coming from Mexico and is take more than 6 weeks to be delivered. An other BS if I drive by myself to Mexico I would have been back by now with the part(s). I can bring you any parts from anywhere in this world in less that 1 week but we cannot bring a something from Mexico in 4-6 weeks.
Very disappointed and I will never purchase anything from this company ever again.
In February we bought the gas range JGB00SEJSS (816$). Before buying we studied the review of buyers. Reviews were good because people wrote them right after purchase, but not after several months operation. In our range the oven badly works: does not hold the established temperature, long time preheat, convection badly works. The problem with oven door. The gap on the left side (1 inch) is two times larger than the right. We called the service technician. He told that it is necessary to change the oven door, but it is unavailable, and we need to wait for three weeks, and then to call him again. He will only change a door, and on the rest call other technician.
Passed more than 3 weeks, but we did not receive the door. We sent e-mail, but were not answered. We called. We were transferred from one to another (looked, as playing soccer where we were a ball)
As a result, it turned out that nobody ordered a door of an oven and we still waiting for completed fix.
Last year we bought the wall conditioner on GE ******* btu, two times to us brought also both times with damage. How it will work - we do not know since so far replaced - the summer ended.
I do not know what happened to GE appliance, but they are not the same quality as were before. My advice: never by from GE

Put GE APPLIANCES in our new house. Two out of 4 damaged or did not work. Repair techs were great, but the call center is worse than terrible. After 5 months the oven still isn't fixed.

Answer: Yes. I have repeatedly experienced this problem for the past 5 years on my 5 year old GE Refrigerator. Using your fist or a mallet, strongly tap on the fan's surround to break ice free. It will quiet down. However, a quality appliance would not require this type of user intervention. If it makes you feel better, I built a new house with all new GE appliances ( because we liked the slate color) and every single one has issues and has been a profound disappointment. NEVER NEVER NEVER buy GE. We learned the hard way.
