Fraser Engines sold me a DIY motor, within a few thousand miles, had significant compression problems. Got a second motor from Fraser and this time they made us use a shop to install. Within 400 miles on the second replacement motor, it failed. Upon inspection at the shop, the motor was built incorrectly. Now Fraser doesn't want to address the build quality problems on the 2nd bad motor and wants to stick me with the bill again. I've been without my vehicle since the middle of December (5 months) on the 2nd failed motor. If you are in the market for a replacement motor, I would strongly discourage using Fraser Engines. Both engine failures were mechanical, not due to install. The Fraser tech told me on the first failed motor (with loss of compression) that the problem was ethanol in the fuel.
These guys are super easy to deal with and are very honest with quality builds! I would totally recommend them to anybody looking for a motor and they will help you in any way possible! They sent us a very good quality motor! Thanks guys.
The staff is so lazy and totally rude. The seller refuse to sell me anything because according to him I was just looking for a cheaper price. I totally would prefer to pay more and not buy from Fraser. He even referred me to Jasper Engines because I needed to pay more according to him. I have never had this experience on any other business, I thought it was a joke.
Prices are reasonable. Prompt call back times. E-mail alerts were very quick. No call waits. The service offers pick ups as well as installation. Both prices are excellent. Made two calls after I made a call to Fraser. Hands down, Fraser was more reasonable & affordable.
Awesome is all I can say about my Fraser experience! My 5.4 f150 truck engine they sold me was made in America (trust me I checked 1st), and by American standards and quality (I'm UAW, I'd know if any less). The price & value (free install parts kit) I received blew away every other call I made to replace or fix it. My opinion is that after 32 years working on the line in a Ford Truck Plant, directly in the Motor City; I'd say they have some of the best pricing and warranties in my industry. Seriously... call them!
I talk to the owner tonight once again about my order and he is going above and beyond to get an engine shipped out to me whenever they were out of stock. I explained to this guy the situation and my financial problems that I'm currently in without a vehicle and not being able to afford the upgraded engine that they did have in stock and Robert Frazier himself the owner contacted me and went above and beyond to help me get an engine back in my vehicle. This is a family run company and they are wonderful people they will help you out anyway possible.
I called 12 times in the morning on cyber Monday trying to place an order and I was told that they would call me back 12 times. Finally on my 13th call they tried telling me the same thing and furious I insisted my order be placed then because I was trying all morning and nobody was calling me back. Keep in mind I called them the very minute they opened and I didn't get the place my order until 1:30 PM. I called the next three days asking for tracking information because as their automated system Claims that they ship same day for most orders. Well that Friday I received a call finally after calling probably 10 times a day since I placed my order insisting on tracking information and they told me I was the fourth person to place an order for that particular engine that day and they only had three in stock. So, I am told I can pay an additional $300 for the same engine but with a higher warranty. Claims that they ship same day for most orders. Whenever I called back in to pay the 300 I am also told I have to pay at 4:50 core charge and they absolutely would not waive it for me even though the mistake was on their end. I tried explaining to the owner that I called in 12 times that day and I should've been the first person to place an order for that particular engine which is a 3.6 GMC for my GMC Acadia. This has caused me a new job that I was supposed to start now I have no way back-and-forth to work because of their sales people lying and not calling their customers back. I ordered an engine from Fraser, and not only did it get shipped out 3 weeks after I was told it would be. It came in with 2 bad cylinders. I was told that 1 of the techs would reach out to my installer, but nothing yet. Their customer service sucks. You can't reach anyone personally you have to leave a message and wait 2 to 3 days for someone to get back to you with a half $#*! answer. The sales department made sure they called and called you constantly until they got your money, but the warranty department and the customer service really needs work. I was planning on ordering a transmission from them, but now that won't happen. I was al so planning on referring a couple of people to them, but again that won't happen.
No one ever wants to face having to change an engine. But having that experience I am so glad Frazier was available. I got a great product at a great price and great service. I couldn't believe how much better my car performs with their engine. I am extremely satisfied with Frasier and would readily recommend them to anyone!
I would really like to give a 5. Buying the engine was easy and friendly. Trying to get core deposit return not so much. Core was sent back late March. I have called 3 times to talk to someone of why I have not received my money for the core return. I called in April, was told someone would call me in 1-2 business days. Nope. Called in early May. Again someone would return my call 1-2 business days. Called again May 22nd. Someone will call you 1-2 business days. Here it is going into June and yet no one has called me back. I was told in April core deposit would take 7-14 business days for me to receive my money back. Then when I called in May it would be 4 weeks. Of course no one can tell me if they even have received my core because why….? Someone will return my call in 1-2 business days. Funny how they call you back when buying their product. But not when you are trying to get your core deposit back! Customer service said they would put my complaint to the top of the list. But of course it must not be a big deal.
I bought my 5.7l hemi 2003 ram engine heavy duty high endurance from them and it's still running like hell on wheels! Damn good engine! Sounds like a lot of you people are having problems with customer service as did I even back then. But now it's sounds like customer service has gotten way worse. That's really a shame because they did make good engines 4 years ago and it sounds like management needs a revamp. If the actual owner reads this know that you make the far superior engines than what these garbage auto manufacturers are making as most of their engines are made in Mexico the very same country now flooding our border their rejects. We Americans have to stand together and I for one want to see this company grow stronger and it won't do that by insulting and degrading it's customers. Or lowering it's standards. If you have bad employees? Get rid of them even if they are family because family can destroy a good business faster than anything if they aren't devoted to said business. As for my engine I followed the break in instructions as if it was God himself talking to me and I keep nothing but clean oil in it. Engine is so damn good I decided to restore the whole truck. I couldn't buy this truck today because all they are making is crap. All I can say is that I bought this engine 4 years ago and I am not disappointed. As for staff, that was an issue 4 years ago and doesn't sound like it got fixed. Really be a shame to see another American company go to hell because of the help.
For the money a engine was the most difficult thing
I've ever had to shop for.
As far as customer service and warranty team is excellent. The first engine that was sent had chewed up threads on the crank. I called talked to Paul he squared everything away had a new engine delivered the next day. So far everything was awesome. Until it came to getting my core refund. Now they're saying they couldn't find it or it was never picked up. Of course they picked up the damaged unit and my core at the same time. They picked them up a week and a half ago and still nothing. My advice keep your original motor and sell ot locally you'll get more than 450 for it. Hopefully they make this right, like they did with the defective engine. But all in all their engine is running like a champ. I would recommend them to others but wouldn't recommend sending your core back to them.
I am still trying to get an engine from these people however they do have a rude customer service named Anthony who wants to sell you the highest thing possible probably trying to get a very good commission but not my dime with that ugly attitude. I will be reporting him today. This ashore told me that they did not have anymore engines because I would not let him direct me to the highest price he would not answer any of my questions he told me that I was argumentive because I wanted to ask questions. I that $#*! don't like his job then he need to quite. I will be calling again to see If could talk to his supervisor and to see if I could finish conducting business with the appropriate people. As of right now I going to give this business at least 2 stars only because of that rotten apple they have in their company.
Yesterday, 1/16/2023, I placed my engine order with a salesperson named Jimmy. At the conclusion of the phone call, I was informed that the sale was finalized and that my engine would arrive in 7-10 business days. This morning, 1/17/2023 around 0830, I phoned Frasier back since I did not receive a receipt nor did it post to my bank account. I was transferred to Jimmy. While on the call with Jimmy, I explained that I had not received a receipt, and he informed me that the transaction had been refused and that the last engine of that specification had been sold. He said that someone tried to call me yesterday and if I wanted an engine, I would have to consider purchasing one of the more expensive brands. I attempted to ask him what time whomever called, but he became agitated and said "that doesn't matter" and "who cares?" and became real irate. My experience has taught me that someone who denies to address a circumstance so strongly is being dishonest. He then abruptly ended the call like I didn't matter, and was just another "phone call." In addition, he is behaving in this manner against Veterans who have served the country for 20 years or more. This information was on my original product request form and I was "thanked for my service" yesterday. NEVER AGAIN WILL I conduct business with a company that treats ANYONE like I was treated. What happened over the past two days was not a coincidence; rather, it was a blessing in disguise, and I hope this helps someone make the correct choice.
Worst customer service disrespectful and VERY rude talked to a man called jimmy he said he was there for 30 years and he asked me how many engines did he have. Obviosly i dont no, he wouldnt transfer me as he said he was the only one that could help me he wouldnt take the quote number i received the prior day asked him again for a different salesman he got mad rude and told me he was going to block my number, so i called back and guess what i got a different sales person she said jimmy was a real problem My hopes are that the owner David Fraser see's this review and see whats happening in His own company. BIg companys go down too I noticed alot of bad reviews and its all about the sales reps and their rude and disrespectful attitudes I just bought 2 bad engines and both were put in the car im on engine 3 so his disrespect didnt help any
I order a triton 5.4 liter 2 valve engine for my 2001'f150 lariat maybe it was good timing but I had my engine in less than 9 days. Very happy with it thus far extremely strong and smooth running with all the bells and whistles. Also I purchased the 5 yrs unlimited miles warranty just incase but that alone shows confidence in their product. I recommend this company to anyone looking for a new ford engine!
The bad reviews that you're reading here are true. I purchased and engine in November 2021. It was shipped and delivered in January 2022. After being installed there were immediate problems with the engine. Coolant and oil leaks. I filed a claim in early April 2022 and after my mechanic got into the engine to repair it, he advised me that there were 10 freeze plugs leaking. Yes, every freeze plug was leaking. What he thought was a rear main seal leak was actually were the upper and lower engine block comes together. My mechanic advised me that this was an unrepairable engine. Fraser has asked us to return the unrepairable engine to them. I told them that I would not accept that same engine back and would only return it if they promised me that I would not get back the same engine. They told me that if they had another engine, I would not get that same engine back. I said that's no guarantee. So here we are now in late July 2022 and no word from Fraser. I've had to contact an attorney. Please find another engine company to use and don't support a company that is taking people's money and not providing what they promise.
The response was great during the process but f buying the engine but once it was paid for we have yet to get any information and every time we call they take our name and number and never call back. We also have left emails to let us know what's going on and still no answer back. This engine is For our Church bus so we can get our kids to church. I have some everything to try and get answers but have failed.
When attempting to get a quote the person responsible for providing one wasn't real happy having a consumer inquire about the product……. I asked for clarification on what does Remanufactured mean to me as a consumer, having never needed this service ….( I'm NOT a mechanic I wanted to see it in writing what constitutes a remanufactured engine regarding parts of said engine? The reply was " you are complicating this quote"…. With no other response…. Yea, definitely want to business with you guys…………not…

Answer: Do not do business with this company! Anthony told me he couldn't hold my engine. Pay tomorrow did not cancel the payment and now Fraser will not return the money. Dealng with Anthony is impossible; he is rude and obnoxious. Now I am going to get an attorney and probably fly to Michigan for a lawsuit.
