Terrible company full of lies
May 10, 2022

I booked a flight with Flight Network (FN) while living in New Zealand before the pandemic (17th January 2020). Flight was booked for 29th June. A few weeks before my trip, airline cancelled my flight on June 16th. I received an email from FN asking me to contact them about the cancellation which i did same day. They said my ticket would be held in the system & I'd be able to use it once it was safe to do so. I contacted the airline (porter) April 25th 2022 and tried to rebook my flight but they said I had to go back through FN as thats who I booked with but they confirmed I was entitled to my one free change with NO change fees because of the waiver code they had in place for flights cancelled by the airline during covid.
I've spoken to different agents at FN who have all given me different info and straight lies. I've been told 4 times (i have called 9 times in almost 3 weeks) they will have it sorted in 48hrs. Each time they have not had it sorted in that time. I've called the airline 5 times and each time they have confirmed that FN have not put notes on my ticket or questions to the airline asking to change my ticket - like FN claim they have done multiple times. I ask on Friday last week for an update and they said "it'll take 48 hours please wait miss". It is now 4 days later and i just received an email from FN asking me to call as i am now able to rebook my flight. Guess what? I called straight after the email and they said "we need to escalate we cannot change your flight we are waiting for the airline" the same rubbish theyve been telling me for weeks - why email me then? I call the airline and they say they have not seen any notes or auth requests from them as expected. I am now making it my mission to let every review site know how awful this company are for robbing people of things they are entitled to. Over 3 weeks for a simple flight change. Outrageous.

Wow... Little did I know that in my neck of the woods lives and breathes a true passion to provide ultimate in global travel service... Flightnetwork - I admit - was in my blind spot for a while... but this year they emerged on my radar as I was growing more and more dissatisfied with cold indifference of off-shore call centres that most global brands use to hide themselves from their customers, thus increasing the distance between recipients and providers of the service that gave them a reason to exist - in the first place.
I admit I was shocked when your telephone specialist Patt revealed to me that he works his magic out of you Mississauga location... Wait, so I am actually dealing here with a neighbourhood business who has not outsourced and actually is a player on the global scene I somehow missed?
Kudos to you guys for winning my business today. I am so glad I actually got to speak with one of your best and brightest who quickly took charge of my request, understood my objective and over delivered in effortless execution of a time sensitive booking for me Patt, thank you for restoring my faith in home-grown world class customer service.
And for your colleague Courtney from the Marketing Department maybe a hint - Patt deserves praise for phenomenally handling my irate attitude and turning the situation around (I had a very poor experience just prior to reaching out to him, with two different agencies who have outsourced their customer facing departments, and their Manila and Kairo teams seam indifferent, out of touch, and out to lunch - unwilling to serve the customer). Patt really made an effort to be of service, and I am glad I didn't just go online after my search and clicked my way through to booking my seats on practically sold out flights for my upcoming vacation. I had the pleasure of stumbling upon a better way to make my travel happen - which Flightnetwork made very easy.

So try and retain more people like Patt, Courtney (he also had a discount coupon up his sleeve) and you will have something to be really proud off when market research benchmarks Flightnetwork against Expedia, FlightHub and all other major outsourced players in the field - whom you clearly blow out of the water.

And now I must pack and arrange a veggie meal for all 4 flights.

Cheers,
Phil

Don't ever deal with Flight Network. I booked a one way flight from Marrakech to Rome via Casablanca 2 weeks ahead of travel date. I looked through airline websites and then used one of the on-line booking sites and Flight Network came up with the best price and modest (3 star) rating. Basically most flights are either through or code share with Air Maroc. I received a 'confirmed booking' from Flight Network with ITA flights code-share on Air Maroc but when I went to check-in on the day before using the booking number the only flight listed was Casablanca to Rome (with both ITA and Air Maroc). Checked again using the e-ticket number and same story. Phoned Air Maroc who said only last leg was booked but to call ITA. Called ITA and they said the first leg had been 'cancelled by the agent' so told me to call the agent but that there were still seats available on a 6am flight that the agent could still book. The ITA website showed that a Mastercard (not mine so presumable the agent) had been charged 269 Euro but had only paid 197 Euro. I had been charged A$387 (250 Euro) to my Amex. So what this says to me is that I was billed a fare by the agent that was insufficient when the agent paid the airline. Instead of cancelling the whole booking and informing me they proceeded to book only the second leg, leaving me without a first leg booked and pocketing the difference. When I rang Flight Network I was told 'ring the airline'. When I said I'd rung both airlines (ticketer and code share) they said that it was my responsibility to contact the airline to discover why the first leg had been unconfirmed. When I said that the airline had told me that the agent cancelled the first leg, I was put on hold to transfer to 'another department'. Same story 'transferred to another department' again. Finally was told that 'we will forward this and you will receive an email'. I knew where this would end and received no email. This was their mistake but they took no responsibility, made no communication, and I was given the run around and wasted over 2 hours. I ended up booking the first leg again for 87 Euro. I have all the screen caps but can't post without revealing personal details

A portion of my dad's flight from Brazil was cancelled (Azul Airlines) so I decided to get a refund for the trip.

First, the *******815 number listed on their website had a message saying that due to technical errors they could not talk to us and we needed to call again later. Well, three days in a row and we still got the same answer.

There was a link on the website with information about COVID-19. On that page there was another number listed *******278. This number told us that only people with flights scheduled within 14 days would be helped (we had three days until his flight on March 25,2020). We called this number 4 times every day and after exactly 2 hours on hold, it would drop us!

Yesterday, I was able to get through finally and the agent told me that I needed to call Azul. I told him that I had already called Azul AND Jetblue (the other portion of the flight) and that BOTH companies told me that they could not do anything since I bought the tickets through a third party (FlightNetwork). ****BOTH AIRLINES WOULD HAVE REFUNDED THESE FLIGHTS WITHOUT ANY FEES.****

I explained this information to him and he said that he was going to do some research and put me on hold for another 30 minutes then they dropped the call!

The flight is today and I may never see that $750!

Btw, I was surprised when I first got confirmation of the ticket I bought back in November 2019. It was $80 more than I was quoted on Kayak. It turns out that without my consent they added travel insurance.

That only makes me more upset because on their site it says "If you have purchased Manulife Insurance coverage and are leaving on or after Tuesday, March 17,2020, you will NOT be covered for COVID-19."

Seriously?

So, not only I was never given a chance to get a refund for a flight canceled by the airline but the insurance I never intended to have, but paid for otherwise, is now worthless.

Thanks FlightNetwork, I will make sure everyone I know is aware of this level of service.

The worse travel agency
January 19, 2023

If there was a zero star, I would gladly give this travel agency one. Folks, don't book through any travel agency. They will not help you if something goes wrong. All they care about is MONEY, nothing else. We were on our way to Nairobi Kenya to visit family from my wife's side. We live in AZ. You can imagine that it would be a long flight. I called this travel agency ( FlightNetwork) and inquired about booking with them since my previous flight was canceled. I told the agent that I am a little bit skeptical because of the reviews and some terrible stories people share on so many platforms. I called around 12:25AM on 01/17/2023. The agent reassured me that "there is nothing for me to worry about as long as I cancel within 16 hours". My worst nightmare came to pass once I booked to Qatar airline. I stayed at a hotel the night before. So, I used their shuttle service to take me to the airport. I got there with my wife and my 2 year old daughter, getting ready to check my luggage. Then, a Qatar airline employee notified that my 2 year old needs a Kenyan Visa even though we were told that a Visa would be issue to her at port of entry in Nairobi Kenya airport. My wife is from Kenya and she knows that Visas are issued at point of entry. The airline would not let me check my luggage and board. I was then given a piece of paper with some number to call. I called the airline customer and I called the travel agent more 12 times while I remained at LAX and hope at least that I would find someone to help me book another flight. We tried to talk to even the employees for Qatar airline but they told me there was nothing they could do. We then contacted the Kenya embassy and sorted through the visa situation for my 2 year old. When I realized that nobody from the airline or the travel agency was willing to help me, I decided to head back home to AZ BY GETTING RENTAL CAR. Of course, the travel agency already processed payment. I wish I did not listen to this lying travel agent. I will never anything from any travel agency. I hope this review helps someone avoid the same mistake that I've made by booking with this scamming travel agency. This is the worst customer service ever and the worst experience. Book directly from the airline instead.
