Fiverr are not interested in resolving issues when work is not done.
Better to use Upwork our any platform that has third party hold money until work is done.
I paid upfront twice to same worker. I was happy to give work to developing country people. But after initial engagement there was none after they got the money.
I'm pretty sure most of the "designers" there are scammers. I purchased a gig, (extremely cheap and you get what you paid for), they took up to 20 hours to deliver the revisions and at the 6th or 7th I had to look myself for examples for them to understand what I wanted. Thanks to that I found out they were working over pre-made free images from Shutterstock. Not only they didn't get what my idea was (no wonder why) but they didn't even work on making an original design.
Attached is what they sent me (geekirumi) and what they were using in the first place.
I've bought many times in different sections. From art to voiceover and web design. The sellers are really professional and have lots of reviews, the community is active and supportive in reviews. I see small sellers get a few reviews and take off like crazy. And the people love their jobs- there's a blog sharing about it. I've never had any issues with Fiverr. I've done freelance work online and Fiverr offers a much easier platform for new beginners than many freelance bidding sites- which are much more competitive and far less personal.
DO NOT use Fiverr! Very unethically run business. I ordered a logo to be developed from the same designer I had previously used, but she had me pay for the order up front (BAD idea... won't do that again) and then never delivered anything. After a MONTH of asking her where my order was, she claimed personal problems and that she couldn't do my logo but had already spent my money so... oh well. Seriously!? This is unbelievable! I contacted Fiverr but they would not refund my money or even offer a credit. HORRIBLE business practices. They stole my money and delivered nothing in return. Pretty sure that's illegal! Run the other way!
Fiverr learn courses are so bad, they are covered with phony money back guarantee.
First in fine print they say if you watch 100% of the course you will NOT be refunded. Okay I watched 40%.
Second if you ask for refund they cannot locate the order (sent screenshots)
Third: they are not quite sure, is there an order, they ask again! (re-sent)
Fourth: they will let the relevant team check it out
Fifth: they ignore you completely and go IN SILENCE!
They are scammers, don't honor any money back gaurantee!

Immediately sends me a message asking if I want "unlimited revisions" for an add'l $15 and recommended that I "trust" him/her. The "gig" that I bought said unlimited revisions were included. Yeah, no. I don't trust anyone until they earn my trust. Sent me a completely $#*!ty logo I could have done myself. $6 lesson learned.
Horrible experience with Fiverr. Not only was the quality of the work delivered poor, but the customer service representatives hide behind little-publicized policies that limit how much time you have to either request a refund or leave a review.
I actually tried giving my Fiverr seller a chance because she seemed to be trying, but she was obviously incapable of delivering what she had committed and clearly did not possess the skills she advertised.
I actually have a much bigger isssue with Fiverr as a company - sponging money from buyers and providing little in terms of customer service - than I do with the Fiverrs I've worked with.
This site is a great resource for purchasing cheap assets for websites/print/video. I have purchased illustrations and backing music tracks. With pricing, you definitley get what you pay for so remember that when bidding jobs out. Also, several artists will advertise their prices "start at" $20. However, in my experience, once you discuss details, you never get a job completed at the lowest price advertised and I have been asked for $10 the amount at different times. Be careful to read the reviews of the artists you work with as some take a very long time getting final products and some have very poor English language skills which can make the design process arduous at times. Also, be sure to specify the file formats you need because if you accept a final product and later need a different format (for print for example) you can expect to pay again. Overall, this is a good resource to have avaialble, just remember the results can be hit or miss depending on the artist(s) you work with.
I had an account but it was deleted when I went back to use it after a while.
No worries. But when trying to make a new one, my phone number was not accepted.
So support said, to give them the old username and email.
When I did, the new account was deleted, or at least suspended.
No reason is given, though there may be some type of vague accusation.
You cannot get to Support with an account, and when I make another, I am accused of breaking their rule of having more than one account.
What a useless circle.
I want to know what this is really all about, but...there seems to be no one to speak to.
Very weird.
Seller didn't deliver 3d logo that I paid 138 euro for.
Fiverr support keeps defending seller and basicly keeps giving the seller deadlines he doesn't meet.
Paid 7 day delivery now over 2 months
Stay away from Fiverr or just give your money to charity
Fiverr is a cool site for making money online and they have some interesting gigs to buy and valuable services. It's not the greatest site in the world but it's neat and I like it. Also, their gifts section has a TON of cool, unique gifts for Christmas presents etc.
I have been trying to get a logo made for an organization I am starting. The first designer I worked with was great, professional, quick, etc I just didnt like the final product. I paid for it but don't plan on using it. The next three either failed to respond, failed to complete, or falsely advertised and tried to get me to pay more. I also did not receive my refund from Fiverr. Bad company, unethical designers...
I hired a seller (anna_isk) to help me with coding. She took her sweet time and wasted mine. Project never got finished and I am stuck with code thats useless. Fiverr didn't step in to help and the seller is still on Fiverr selling and has an "excellent" rating. Total crap website. Fiverr allows medicore freelancers to use their platform and doesn't protect the rights of buyers. Just don't use this website. It's a waste of time and you will loose your money. Upwork has its negative elements, but way better than Fiverr.
I paid $55 for a logo and artwork. I was sent one draft which was terrible. The artist, through broken English, told me it was "my fault." I simply asked for a refund, which he refused. I contacted Fiverr support, and went back and forth with them a dozen times -- all they will do is "ask seller for a refund" and ask you to jump through hoops, but never actually deliver. I was never delivered anything beyond a mock-up (not the PSD files I pad for) -- yet they wouldn't refund anything. I eventually contested the charge with Paypal, who thankfully refunded it. I ended up paying a local graphic artist a higher rate, and was THRILLED to. $5 is too much for the junk on that site, let alone $55. Terrible stressful experience. Avoid like the plague.
Paid $11 for a flyer that even after 7-8 modifications (or whatever the word is) turned out like my 12 year old did it. I can't believe someone who has such a high rating for making flyers could be so incompetent on what I wanted. Still gave Fiverr another shot and paid $6 for a google review. The lady promised me it was all good and that google wouldn't delete it paid for the work and a week later google deleted the review? I'll chalk that up to karma but still it was all waste of money and a reminder that if you want anything done right do it your self or pay big $$.
I found a "gig" that was modern vintage provided a bunch of information and photos etc. what I got was some really hokey work. Although it's listed as guaranteed, in the end you will pay a lot more having to dole out to various "gig" designers to find one that actually delivers the quality of work they show esp. Since you have to pay upfront. Fiverr doesn't honor guarantees unless seller doesn't deliver. This whole thing is a scam.
First of all if you're looking to hire someone for something lewd to write, don't say anything in the chat to your hiree about details because they'll flag your account as inappropriately talking in chat. Plus a lot of the buyers seem to just be desperate people trying to make a quick buck while not listening to you and writing their own thing. Do not use this site.
I was a buyer on fiverr for a long time before I was a seller. I had all of my book covers made on fiverr. When I decided to start freelance ghostwriting, I gave fiverr a try. It's been amazing as a seller. I get great clients. I work on really interesting projects, and I'm making a few thousand bucks a month. There are some rotten sellers on Fiverr and more plagiarism than I'd care to see on the site. However, buyers can avoid these scammers, by doing their due diligence, looking through reviews, and be willing to pay higher rates. No one who is actually doing the writing is going to take $5 for 3000 words. Use common sense when picking a seller, and you'll be fine. Sellers at Level Two or Top Rated are more likely to be decent.
I did not had a good experience as buyer on fiverr. The seller (thesocial...) was not responsive and responsible to my questions which resulted in my waste of time. Even after repeated request for reply she did not respond.
I am a buyer for this site. I ordered some banners for my business and for whatever reason both orders totalling $61 were cancelled and the funds placed in my fiverr balance, only problem with this is there is no way of transferring that money to your bank account. I paid via Paypal so I expect refunds to go back to my original payment method- PayPal. I was left with no option but to open a dispute with Paypal and now I'm getting emails telling me that my fiverr account has been restricted and guess what?! The $61 has vanished! This is a nightmare of a company- I've emailed them and they never get back to you. I should have seen the warning flags from the start, I mean what company doesnt have a contact number? Their contact email is not easy to find either. Steer clear of this company everyone, whether you're a buyer, like me, or a seller. Something dodgy about these cowboys. Thankfully I paid with Paypal so I'm hoping I can escalate it with them and receive a full refund.
Answer: I used Fiverr for my company logo. The guy lives in Vietnam and speak minimal English. I paid for an upgraded package with an unlimited amount of revisions, 3 original logos, stationary and Facebook as well as Twitter page covers. What does unlimited mean if a revision takes 24 hours and each revision is correcting spelling mistakes or telling him you don't want a green dog in your logo, I want a natural looking dog. His response is "you choose font and gives you a pale old lady stockings colour dog" instead of a white Dalmatian with black dots or a brown German Shepard. In the end I used an online translator to translate my requests from English to Vietnamese. He told me to sketch something and he'd make something. If I could sketch something then I would do my own logo. The one logo that I liked was the one I gave him all my ideas for. All he did was put it together in the right format. I was so frustrated with his other two attempts that I said ok give me the first logo with stationary and everything I've paid for. I got the most basic design, no stationary or headers. Did I go through customer service? OF COURSE! Throughout this whole ordeal. I described every little detail. Each time a different person would reply and say "I can understand your frustration and I will contact him". Only to have him return with the same dog in orange or turquoise and every time customer service would spit out the same line "I can understand your frustration and I will contact him. We see he is responding to you within 24 hours so for us that means you are trying to work things out. I want my money back! Sorry we can't give you your money back. The seller has received his money and its up to him to give you any money back if he so chooses. It was a dreadful experience. I ended up using an online logo maker and I loved it. PLUS it actually cost less. I'm now doing my own website. If you have the patience then try to do it yourself. Do NOT skimp on your website. The way the world is run today you want your website and all social media presence to correctly reflect your quality. If at the end I'm not happy with my website I will go to a professional and pay what it costs. Hope this helped and good luck
Answer: I know I have to wade through a lot of questionable sellers to get a good one. Happy hunting. There are good ones out there though.
Answer: All I can say id Fiverr is the BIGGEST SCAM going. Had to dispute the charges through my bank to get the money back
Answer: Stay far away from fiverr. I paid a guy to do some work and proved with third party techniques they used bots for fake views to my site. Yet this guy had many many great reviews. You cannot trust this site whatsoever. Stick with paypal as you most likely will get nowhere with fiverr.
Answer: If you want a site designed to steal credit card data from hard-working, civilized people, please use Fiverr. It is designed for one thing: to take your credit card data and leave you to deal with a mess. More details, reply or search for my previous posts.
Answer: I can only imagine you got swindled and feel bad about the fact you trusted someone. Don't feel bad, you did nothing wrong. There are sites who take the time to vet their sellers and then there are sites like Fiverr who let's anyone to join with zero check on their credentials. The entry into selling on Fiverr is so easy that it borders on ridiculousness. Anyone can lie about their location, experience, education, and just about any credentials. Some of them are really clever and mask their fake profile pictures and gig descriptions really well. Fiverr is so secretive about their vetting process, which I seriously doubt there is anything in writing, that you can't trust it. The seller's level is a joke - I've gotten cheated by ones with thousands of reviews. How they received literally a thousand or more review is mind boggling. Go back and check again, you'll notice like 99.9% of the million or so sellers all have 5 star reviews. All legitimate businesses have a combination of good and bad reviews, most average around 3/5 or if they are a really great business 4/5 but for a large company with like a million or so freelancers with zero credentials having 5/5 pretty much tells you there is something wrong. Like I said, you did nothing wrong. I hope you didn't lose too much money. Their philosophy is "We don't care how crappy the delivery was as long as the seller delivered you don't get your money back."
Answer: The answer is plain simple NO! You will get your followers, yes! But they are all bots, so you will lose 90% of the followers the same week, might as well throw this 5 bucks in the air.
Answer: There is very little in the world that is unique. You have to trust or spend a lot more $$$ or do it yourself
Answer: I would suggest having nothing whatsoever to do with Fiverr. When things go wrong - and that happens a LOT - there is no customer support line to call. They make it very difficult (in my own case, impossible) to resolve any problems. Read the evaluation reviews- they are extremely negative. My advice: find another site on which to offer your services. DG
Answer: I've had 28 orders and all but two were very satisfactory. Most were PDFform building or business card templates, but I had s few design logos for me then used the one I liked. Buyers: it's cheap. Remember that. When the service is good I tip generously then use the same person. I get great service, often in one day. When I order, I add express service and have yet to be disappointed. It's a business model without customer service. Face it. If you want customer service, go to Nordstroms or Nieman Marcus. Do a better job selecting your service provider; be clear in the order, and overpay.
Fiverr has a rating of 1.6 stars from 1,131 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Fiverr most frequently mention customer service, credit card and low quality. Fiverr ranks 107th among Freelancing sites.
