I purchased two (2) pair of shoes from Fingerhut. They sent me two (2) pair of shoes that were obviously worn/used and most likely returned by another customer. They asked me to send the shoes back to them. They have the shoes I returned and claim they did not send those shoes to me. Their response: They didn't send the used shoes to me.

They continue to bill me for the shoes and have now reported to all three (3) credit bureaus that my payments are behind, negatively impacting my credit rating. In reading over the many negative review concerning Fingerhut, I am contacting a couple of attorney firms to have this legally settled. I am thinking that all the folks that have been harassed and lied to by Fingerhut could take part of a class action settlement lawsuit against them.

Please contact me at *******@davidavance.com if you're interested. Based on all the negative responses online, I am sure a case against them is justified and would be a win for those defrauded.

Destroying my credit
August 18, 2024

At the beginning of the month my child was murdered and her unborn baby, my payments are normally due on the 22nd I asked for an extension till the 1st and I was told they would not give it to me I have a $3,000 credit line never missed a payment always pay over what my minimum is and this is how it's treated
Not a scam artist trying to get out of making payments I literally I'm a family who just had a huge tragedy not only that but we're dealing with the courts and the arraignments and whatnot money is beyond tight and the fact that my stellar record is now going to be affected and it's going to be reported to a credit bureau really sucks especially considering we are in the middle of trying to buy a home I'm so incredibly disappointed I pay for the lifeline program and everything in case anything were to happen just to find out that what am I paying for my family is obviously suffering a huge tragedy it's made news all the way to Canada and they cannot extend a payment for less than 2 weeks so now I'm going to be hit with fines and penalties and my credit report is going to be damaged buyer beware my mother always told me to stay away I didn't listen

Fingerhut is a terrible company that overcharges for the products they sell and the apt is 39.99%. And they sugarcoat it by making people think it's convenient and easy for people to pay off. What they don't mention is that there are fees too. 50% of the products are cheaply made and the other 50% is severely overpriced. When I did the math by comparison from Amazon, it's almost a 60% mark up on items right from the start.
Return processes are a pain in the a$$ and the customer service is based out of India. IF you can understand the rep, you'll have to jump through hoops and go through paperwork before you can return the item along with being charged for the said return.
This company is a bunch of thieves and their peons are schooled in stealing hard worked for money.
Simply do the math I just presented and ask yourself if you're ok with spending that much money on over inflated stuff that has a high potential of showing up broken, breaking during regular use, and having to deal with a complicated return process.
I would rest this trash company with a zero of the option was there.
Oh, and BTW, when you try to close/delete your account, you have to qualify depending on what state you're in. That's right, and they make it difficult to close the account. On top of that, they won't tell you if you have a remainder on your balance that's owed but disclaim the punishment if you do exactly that with an excuse of, "that's private information that cannot be disclosed." However, they will close the account without so much as verification.
HORRIBLE COMPANY AND I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM EVER AGAIN. ALLY FRIENDS AND FAMILY AND ANYBODY WHO'S INTERESTED WILL BE INFORMED AND FOREWARNED TO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE THIEVES.

I signed up just to see what i could get. They gave me a 200 limit. I told them to. Close my account. And they. Responded with "we will close it, but it will negatively affect your credit." Such a bull$#*! company.

This place is horrible. I have been arguing with them back and forth for a month now. When I got the account, I was using a PO BOX. I didn't even have a shipping address. They refuse to let me add one, and they put my account on hold, till I show them a bill with my entire name on it. I sent them my ID, my Social (last 4) and my electric bill, which most know it doesn't include your full name on it. I said "I'm not giving you my first born". To top it off, they lost my information 3 times, and then expect me to send it AGAIN through an email they hadn't received it through the 3 previous times. I hate this company, and I do mean hate. This company is not work the stress and aggravation. There are others out there that aren't so petty. Avoid the third world companies. They aren't worth it! They deserve ZERO stars. Horrible customer service, even when you go higher up the food chain.

I've been using Fingerhut to build credit it WAS a useful tool. Not anymore due to no fault of my own Fingerhut shipped a very costly item to the wrong address in November I am now making payments on an item I don't even own! I have been told the issue was taken care of and I was Emailed regarding this numerous times. No Emails have been sent no help has been rendered at all! The customer service people are not only stark raving liars but also completely inept. I've never been so disappointed with this company and DO NOT reccomend them as a credit tool. I was a fan until the chips were down and Finger hit will not compensate me for THEIR mistake yet they expect me to pay an exorbitant amount of money for an item I really needed but am paying for their idiotic and continued mistakes.

Over charging by as much as 100% on goods that are outdated or were available last year, is a piss poor biz model. Preying upon ppl with the belief their purchases will build their credit score makes for the 2nd piss poor biz model. Foreign customer service who repeat they cant do anything is the final nail. DO NOT get scammed by these asshats

I got a Hisense TV which was over priced and now I'm being killed with fees at $14.10 and interest charges $27.55 a month… I should of just saved up for the tv and bought it… I will NEVER buy anything from Fingerhut again!

I brought Birkenstocks for my granddaughter for Christmas. They didn't fit. I returned them and they are not going to refund my money. I only made this purchase from them. Some how they are taking it off my balance which is absolutely ridiculous! I told them I wanted my account closed. I am writing to the BBB see if they can help. So please do not EVER use Fingerhut.

I purchased a new playstation VR bundle from fingerhut and waiting for Christmas to gift it, opened up the box and couldn't use the item because it didn't work, fingerhut said they wouldn't return the item because of my purchase date being months before Christmas and I stated I opened it Christmas Day because it was a present I would need to pay on credit and couldn't afford to purchase outright from walmart. They said they were not able to return the 647$ item and I am still paying for it on fingerhut credit, this is not good customer service and business practice so do not buy higher price items from them please because I would have been better off with saving my money and purchasing the item cheaper and without delivery fees from the store in person, they do not care about customer care.

Christmas order

I tried to place an order for my grandkids Christmas. I was rejected because I missed a payment on a $129.00 balance because my mom died and I had to bury her. Really, they wouldn't budge. I am very disappointed in this company. My grand children won't have a Christmas now.

BEWARE! This company ups their prices at the cost of the item, sells sub-par items, and then charges fees at every payment! I was a customer until their customer service failed them. This is a big bank trying to make more money off unaware individuals. DONT DO IT AND SAVE TO BUY OUTRIGHT, ITLL BE CHEAPER BY 30% AT LEAST. TERRIBLE, UNSATISFIED!

I wish I could give it a zero stars rating. I order 3 items and only received two. They never shipped the last item (comforter set) but charged us for it anyway. They insist they shipped it but they clearly didn't as their own website showed that it hadn't shipped it and then the next day it was switched magically to delivered. I feel scammed by this company and will never use it again. They wanted us to jump through hoops with police reports and affidavits and all sorts of nonsense when they clearly didn't ship the item. I'm surprised they can get away with this kind of blatant theft in MN. Stay away from this company. Very dishonest in my experience. Never again!

Damaged freezer

I called and shared with them that it had a big dent and needed to return it. Today I get a call that I owe money and as I explain I shouldn't have a balance but they said we only gave you a partial refund. Don't do business with this company. I have canceled my account and will never do business with them again. I also paid the balance so that it wouldn't affect my credit.

My mom bought me a ring a few months back for my birthday and it was stolen… I've been saving money to replace it without her knowing it was gone because she went out of her way for me when buying it. I used my husbands card because I only had cash. My husband has left his billing address at his parents house over the years because we have moved to a few different apartments so it's easier for him to not have to constantly change the address at the bank. Fingerhut flagged the order as fraud and canceled everything and has hung up on me twice while I'm trying to figure everything out. Do not waste your time with this $#*! company.

Don't buy from this company. They're a rip off. You don't get anything for your returns. Maybe a fourth of what you paid for it. So if something tears up you ain't getting your money back from this place. Go to reliable store and buy your stuff. Walmarts the best company around for returns.
