The shipping was too high but since I wanted expedited anyway I paid second day air so the shipping didn't bother me too much on that particular purchase. However I see decent competitive prices on merchandise but I'm not about to pay five times more in shipping to get it. Sorry Fingerhut offer some shipping discounts. Thanks

Some of the items may be a little more expensive but it's worth it to rebuild my credit. They carry name brand and relevant products. I've bought 7 items and everything has been top quality.

I purchased a couple pair of boots. One didn't fit and the other was irregular. I contacted their customer service and they assured me they would send return labels as there were none in the packages. I never received them. I contacted them again and was assured they would be on their way again. Nothing came. They sent an email to print out. I contacted them and told them I have no way of printing them out as I do everything on my phone. They again assured me they would send some. Never got it. Now that the 90 days has passed and I contacted them for the 4 the or 5th time they tell me it's too late. I have been trying to return them for months. I bought my daughter a ride on toy tractor recently. We went to charge it and the inside melted. I promptly contacted them and asked for a return label. We shall see if it comes. I will no longer order anything from them. As I have been a customer for a few years and my credit line has grown so much because I usually pay more than minimum due. They got a very angry email from me this time. No more Ms Nice Lady. Their customer service team is very incompetent..

I just received a $700.00 line of credit with FINGERHUT.
My daughter in Fiji told me not to buy anything from FINGERHUT cos she negative reviews. So l logged in this morning to read 10 bad reviews from previous customers so now l am hesitant to buy anything from FINGERHUT.

Broken merchandise
June 30, 2022

Ordered a ac window unit, $800 later it shows up dented and broken. Call them only to hear there is nothing they can do, and it's not their problem. Lady was so rude on the phone it was ridiculous. Don't buy from this company they scam people out of money for broken items and have employees that don't care. It's a scam center that sells broken items.

Beautiful tree, easy to set up. This was the perfect tree for our apartment. The only thing I could find with it was there was not enough lights but I added 1 strand and this is what she looks like. Absolutely love it, would buy again.

Placed an order for an item that was guaranteed delivery by christmas... next day order was cancelled by fingerhut and i received no phone call telling me this. I order another of the same type of product which said guaranteed delivery... and now it will be over 2 weeks before its delivered... christmas is only a few days away. This company advertises items they cannot produce; since i went back online and looked and now the original item isn't even listed at all, they must have figured out the obvious issue. This is only one issue... for anyone wondering... if an item sells for 20$ at your local walmart, you can bet on this site it will be twice that amount plus huge shipping rates they forget to mention. Good luck! Wanna build your credit... find another agency, this one is absolutely nothing more than a facade full of dishonesty and BS.

They take advantage of people with poor credit. They'll approve almost anyone, but heaven forbid you're a day late on your $25 payment because they will hound you, nights, weekends and even holidays. Any business with this kind of lack of ethics is not one I'll be dealing with again.

I've been shopping Fingerhut for about 1.5 years. I mostly used it to improve my credit, which so far has been proven successful. I've only bought a few things here and there, knowing full well that everything is overpriced to begin with. The shipping is horrid; $40 for less than $120 worth of products, with the weight being less than 10 pounds. It's not the best place to buy stuff, but when you have no credit, it suffices.

I applied for credit about 6 or 7 months ago and never used it. Got alerted today that my credit now has a note on it. Fingerhut will ding your credit if you do not make a purchase from them. That is without a doubt the most scummy company practice I've seen in awhile. Basically extortion. Total waste of a company. Made a call to corporate and the person said basically "should have bought something" and said it's not their problem. Guess lesson learned

Damaged freezer

I called and shared with them that it had a big dent and needed to return it. Today I get a call that I owe money and as I explain I shouldn't have a balance but they said we only gave you a partial refund. Don't do business with this company. I have canceled my account and will never do business with them again. I also paid the balance so that it wouldn't affect my credit.

Had a credit account with this terrible excuse for a company just to build credit. They make you buy items to keep your credit limit or they take the limit away. I had a security breach were I needed to change debt cards so 1 payment was not being processed. They immediately put a 30day late on my credit for a 22 dollar payment. Never called to let me know. Not email or anything. They are refusing to take it off. They charge outrageous amounts for common times. I bought a watch that broke in a week for 270. Was online for 68 bucks new. Got ripped and credit screwed. THIS COMPANY PRAYS ON PEOPLE with less then great credit. Do yourself a big favor and stay away.

Everyone I have ever talked to was rude. They over charge on shipment. I haven't ordered much but some of it is not of great quality. I'm almost done paying off the balance and I think I will be done with this site.

Better Business Bureau can be added to the list. They do not enforce then what is the point of your services if you're allowing a company that gets low ratings have a high rate on your site. Making me pay for something I never received because they said I mailed in the information too late. When they were not clear on the affidavit what was ACTUALLY needed. I wish I never got a card from them. I would recommend going elsewhere to attempt to better your credit. And if you want a nice expensive item, save up for it. It will be worth it. Paying twice as much for the Fingerhut price will equate to your savings. Might as well save up for it and not have to worry about paying down every month. Again, if you can do not do business with this scam company. You would think they are low on inventory and money the way they do not care about customer service. I am in disbelief that I am have to pay for out for an iPad two companies "misplaced".

Have you ever received a notice from a debt collection agency? If so, you know that it contains language similar to this:

"This is an attempt to collect a debt. Any information obtained will be used for that purpose.

As required by law, you are hereby notified that a negative credit report reflecting on your credit record may be submitted to a credit reporting agency if you fail to fulfill the terms of your credit obligations."

Normally, you don't receive notices like that unless you have defaulted on your debt, and the debt is handed over to a debt collection agency. Fingerhut, however, will send you this threat before your payment is even due! As a person who takes great pride in paying my bills in full and on time, every time, I don't appreciate being treated like a debt-dodger by a company that is obviously paranoid about not getting paid.

I e-mailed them to complain about this, but they haven't replied to me. I won't be buying anything else from them because of this issue.

Rip off etc...

1st of all their items are priced way too high they charge way too much and it doesn't matter if you've been paying your payment on time for a year or 2... I just called them to see if this one month they can move my payment to the next week because I could not make the payment this week and they will not help me out so that I can make the payment 1 week later and it goes on your credit that you can't make that payment when all you want to do is just move it a week out... I talked to 2 different people and they just would not help me but they sure will take my money when it's due... Finger hut is one of the biggest rip off sites that I know you're better off going on Amazon and buying what you need or going on after pay...

These people are impossible to get a refund

I ordered 3 shirts. 2 pairs of pants over a week ago they. Told me it was on its way took the money off my credit card 5 days later. They tell me they don't have my pants and only the shirts. I asked him for my money back and I can't get nowhere. I've spent 2 hours on the phone and they put me on hold. I wouldn't recommend buying any things from these scandalous people. I asked them to hand me off to a supervisor. I'm still waiting on hold. It's been an hour and a half i'm pretty sure i'm not getting my money back

The worst!
January 18, 2023

I purchased a pair of Timberland boots for my grandson for Christmas. I bought a size 11 and they were too tight, so I shipped the boots back for an exchange for a size 12, thinking that all I had to pay for was shipping fees. They received the boots and tried to send me the same boots that would cost me a $100. Extra. I called customer service. I spoke to 3 agents in a hour time. I had to cancel the order that I did not place, customer service was not very helpful in clearing up this matter. I told them to just close my account with Fingerhut and refund the money that I paid them so far for the boots. It only took one minute to take the money off my debit card. Now they tell me I have to wait for approval for my refund that will take 7-10 business days and an additional 10 days to receive my refund. They are sending me a check by mail instead of refunding it back to my debit card. OMG! I will never- ever deal with Fingerhut again!

Horrible customer service

They just gave me the run-around 1 customer service person would tell me one thing. And then another one would completely say the opposite. Been dealing with him for the last 4 hours with no success. Hope you never have to use their customers service!
