I too was nervous about using them. I didn't check this site before booking. I must say that my experience with them has been positive. I received my confirmation within 24 hours and any questions that I did have were answered swiftly. I booked a trip from the US to Australia and return. Their fares were substantially cheaper than even the airline's website. Yes, I would recommend them after doing your homework on checking all available sites.
A few saved bucks is not worth the headache. Just don't do it. There's enough reviews on here and there is no use adding my own. I've dealt with a headache and now I'm flightless for my trip in 3 days.
Lesson learned. NEVER again.

Booked then panicked when I read reviews. Have to say the service, flights and whole process was faultless. As fare geek saved us over £400 on fares direct with the airline we were thrilled. I guess most are quick to review a poor experience so I decided to be fair and actually bother to review ( I never usually do).
I've bought tickets twice to travel to India with Faregeek and had a very pleasant experience. The e-tickets were sent with 24 hours of credit card purchase and the airlines confirmed out seats. I was happy to save couple hundred dollars each time and would recommend them.
I travel once in every two months! So last month I selected South Carolina for my solo tour. I needed cheap airfare tickets and was browsing the internet. Though there were many offers, but the discounted deal that this website provided me with, is the one that I was attracted to the most. It had the cheapest price with no hidden costs. I'm writing this review primarily because after booking my ticket through them, the reviews online made me very nervous. I immediately received a confirmation e-mail, but realized my card had not been charged and I didn't have my ticket yet. I called the company, and the man I spoke to was nice; informed me that I would only receive this information 24 hours after I booked the flight, and asked me to call if I did not receive a follow up e-mail. I woke up this morning, e-mail in my inbox, and have been able to check in with the airline with the confirmation code. I was also charged exactly what I was quoted on their website. I was very nervous, but everything turned out fine. My flight is, however, only three weeks away, so this might contribute to the reason that I didn't have the problems of flights being cancelled. I'd be very aware of the bad reviews, but also realize there are some good experiences.

I'm usually really polite and calm with customer service representatives... but these arrogant, rude, unhelpful people had my blood bowling.

Horrible experience with fare geek. Booked my ticket 2 weeks ago and everything was confirmed. Since my card is international they cancelled it 1 day before my flight and advised me to book a new ticket for 600$. This company totally sucks, never again!
I'm Zoey Z. I boles a flight on this website on October 2015. Briefly speaking, after three months of negotiation with at least five Faregeek agents, I was promised to be refunded about $200 by check and furthermore, I would get the other $300 something back by online transferring. Luckily, I got the check, but there was absolutely no sign that the Faregeek company will return the other 300 dollars. They intended to neglect my reasonable request for refunding after I have mentioned them about thirty times by email. Remember! This company is a scam and please, customers should never book flights on this website and therefore the loss of your property can be prevented.

No problem whatsoever with my tickets. They were emailed to me the next day. They were much cheaper than anywhere else. BUT. While I was away I urgently needed to change my flight home and could not get hold of anyone over the phone or via email despite trying literally non stop for 2 days to get help from them. I gave up in the end and stuck to my original flight home which caused me major problems. A good cheap deal but if you think you may need to contact them at some point then maybe don't bother..
My husband used Faregeek to book return flights from London to USA - he recently returned from his trip. He got a good price, communication with the airline was excellent: (e-mail notification every time the flight times changed prior to departure and queries were answered promptly. No problems at all with tickets, payment or flights. Can't fault them.
Once booked I didn't get my confirmation immediately so called the helpline... 25 mins later finally got through and got my confirmation but was told e ticket could take 24 hours... which I have now received. Being an experienced traveler I am wary of using agents and not directly booking with airlines especially after reading everything on this site. In this case it was worth the savings and time spent on the phone.
It's a scam and fraud company. They just did a fraud on my credit card and have stopped responding to my emails and phone calls now. I am filing a police complaint against them here in Canada.It seems this company is run by only 2 guys who are sitting somewhere else but not in North America as most of the time they say they are working night shifts. Do not trust them at all and spread the word. I am shocked that they have been doing frauds for years and nobody took any action against them
FareGeek is utterly dishonest and incompetent. I booked a ticket at an advertised price, then when I called a minute later to confirm it, the price jumped nearly $100 because of "unforeseeable circumstances." They sent me a confirmation but no ticket. Approaching the date of departure, I still had received no ticket. When I called again, I was informed that I'd have to pay another $170. These people are bold liars, unrepentant, and totally untrustworthy. I'm reporting them to the New York Consumer Protection Board.
We won't use them again! We booked tickets and got confirmation of reservation. 5 days later got an email saying it had been cancelled. The call center confirmed cancellation and passed the blame - first to the airlines and then next to the supplier. In the conversation there was no "I'm sorry," or "I'll see if I can find another flight."
I have booked with Faregeek since January 2015. I called once to inquire about cancelling and it was 300$ to do so. I decided not to change. Recent events have led me to call them again to change my flights by one day on either end of my trip which is still months away. I have now been told that it will cost 600$ per person to change it, the same amount as a new all round ticket. I was also informed that if I tried to change it again it would be more expensive. HORRIBLE customer service and awful scam! Do not use them!

Just go back from a month travelling through Bali and the Gold Coast. Got some great prices on my tickets with these guys, however the one time I did have to change a ticket it took bloody ages! Simple fact is they give great prices but if you want to make multiple changes then expect to spend plenty of time on the phone... although I reckon this is the case with most of these cheap operators...
