Prescriptions received are sent automatically to you by mail even if prescription says something wrong. You pay for it. CS is offshore and not understanding or handling the conversations. No help troubleshooting. They put you on hold and never pick up.
Express scripts is the most worst business! They are in control of hundreds of thousands people medication and it's terrible when your insurance company uses them! I have not heard one good review about them.
These losers screw up so many refills it is unbelievable. They are just tossing out perfectly good prescriptions. All the while bombarding you to switch other prescriptions to them. Cardiac patients don't need this kind of stress.
People are more likely to take the time to report bad reviews, but today the level of customer service I received was so outstanding I wanted to take the time to document my positive experience. I've had multiple issues with the prescriptions I fill at my military facility. Out of frustration I finally called Express Scripts. I spoke to a supervisor named Dwayne F. Who patiently listened my problem and identified the issue the military pharmacy created. He acknowledged the disconnect between that pharmacy and my PCM, and followed up with each party to resolve it. I can honestly say for the first time I feel confident someone actually cared about my frustration and was committed to making sure I received the best customer support possible. Express Scripts and supervisors like Dwayne really deserve praise for the services they provide.
Greetings,
Last week we called in a refill with this firm. Called today and they do not have an estimated time of arrival. This is a life affecting medication and should have been shipped with high priority. They wanted me to contact my doctor but since I went with Express Scripts they will not initiate another Rx. I feel no love here.
I have not had a problem with Customer service, obtaining my mail prescription medicine timely. My issue is my diabetic med that has gone up in price $136.00 to a total of $586.00. The increase came after the Insulin cap of $35.00. So to me my increase is because of the cap. I work hard to stay on pills and not have to go on Insulin. This is how Pharma & associated help people. Don't get me wrong, I am happy about the cap, it would have helped my family, but God forbid you lose $ helping people with costs. You just have found a way of recovering your Loss. People out here need help!
Pros: They are polite on the phone
Cons: EVERYTHING ELSE. They just want money. No coordination of benefits so even if you have 2 insurances that both use Express scripts, what is free at a local pharmacy will run HUNDREDS though Express Scripts.
Pleasant workers. Horrific overall satisfaction. Does not serve customers with concern, care and focus. How do they stay in business? If I could give less than 1 star I would.
It's truly ironic they have "express" in their name, nothing express about them, and if you want to talk to someone, prepare to be hung up on the phone, disconnected from the chat. Just impossible. Is one of those nightmare companies, that are still alive because the my employer forces me to use the service.
I completely loathe that this company has such a horrible hold on big pharma today. They absolutely are the worst for refrigerated medications. They charge a ton for medications I could have got for free. But every time my refrigerated medications come due it's like I play roulette with weather they've gone bad on my poach, because you really can't choose a delivery or if they won't work for the same reason or how I'm going to get them across country when I have to personally take 2 + months worth with me in my car because they only deliver in 3 month supplies. That is except for my one medication out of five that they'll only send me two weeks worth. This company is the worst organized mess I have ever had to deal with, companies should stay away from Express Scripts.
This company has no business in the healthcare industry. Their lack of empathy is reason enough to ban them from dispensing medicine. Delays, holds, and a host errors, all compounded by a culture that does not care about a patient's health, have created an environment where their customers may not survive. I would not wish this company on anyone - except those who answer the phone when you try to get what you need.
I have had 2 incidents now of the pharmacy sending me prescriptions after deliberately communicating to the company that I did not want any of their over priced medications sent. Terrible customer service and computer phone system. Use Good Rx
Pain in my $#*! service. Just by reading all of the reviews, it's obvious, I'm not the only customer who feels the same way. I don't see how they can be aloud to mess up like they do. My dog is more intelligent than their so called system. Just dealing with them over n over again, causes me stress, cause I feel I'm always needing call for mistakes and issues over their terrible communication system.
1) first you have to punch in your card info two times before just repeating it a person who can actually help.
2) second, they cannot transfer prescription from the pharmacy. Aetna's mail order pharmacy can. Express scripts doesn't want your business.
3). Even the survey after the call is bad. Every question has a different scale to rate them on. Who rates on a scale of 0-10? Why? 1-10 not good enough?
I have used mail order medications from many places for years. First time with Express. Horrible. It took 4 days of "processing" after my doctor sent in the prescription. Then I approved it. Then it was processing again and took 9 more days to get it. The people on customer service are uniformed, rude and not what you would expect from a company like this. Supervisor was no better. Use a local pharmacy.
Why is a reputable insurance company like Cigna using such a disastrous company to process prescriptions? This is BY FAR the WORST service I've ever experienced anywhere. I dread refilling my prescriptions because they are always messed up, delayed, lost in the mail, you name it! I have to call about nearly every prescription and get transferred to nearly a dozen people every time. What was wrong with refilling prescriptions at Walgreens, Cigna? It's so much more convenient and faster than deal with this monstrous disaster! Fix it, Cigna, if you don't want to lose subscribers. Awful, awful, awful!
When asked to put long term medications on 3 month refills- beware. I have now been without my long term medication for a week. They say it was not due to be refilled due to an error in March- 7 months ago. There was no mention of this when I was refilling monthly at my local pharmacy. So now I am having withdrawal symptoms and the web site says "processing". No telling when I will get it.
Customer service has no power to help, they are very nice but are useless.
Constantly screws up. Will hold up prescriptions because of billing issues but when I call they say "no money is owed, we will send that right out" then why were you holding it up for a month in the first place.
Ran out of two medications because of their screw-ups.
If you're a diabetic be aware your diabetes medicine will not be delivered. ONLY the diabetic medication is held longer. Sure wish my allergy medication could keep me out of hospital like the diabetes medication does. Perhaps this is a strategy to expire me to stop serving a diabetic. Screen shot of blood sugar drop from stressful phone call with express scripts trying to get them to send me diabetic medication
They give you the run around, denying your medications for retail pharmacy, then they take weeks to resolve before you can get mail order meds initiated. My doctor spent hours along with myself escalating various issues before we could get my meds filled. I was forced without medication for weeks. They claim they sent notification via email regarding my retail benefits that I never received. I have been on this routine medication for over a year and every month is a struggle getting it filled with Express Scripts.
Answer: Fairly easy. They are just rude and incompetent. Delaying filling prescriptions.
Answer: It's a legit company with the worlds worst service
Answer: No. And since hell would have to freeze over before I ever actually do purchase anything from Express Scripts I want to have a success story.
Answer: I pay a monthly charge which is part of my Medicare Supplement Insurance. The total premium is $439 a month but it also covers other charges Medicare does not. Then for each drug Express Scripts charges a maximum of $20 for 90 pills if generics are used. Non generics depend on the medicine; they can be much more expensive.
Answer: I had no choice, it is the only option through my employer.
