I called the pharmacy department on September 18,2019 to get information on the problem with Zantac that my son has to take 2 times a day. She kept telling me that there was no problem instead of telling me that their manufacturer was not the one affected; information I had to finally get from CVS pharmacy.
Express Scripts has lied, misdirected, gave false information and overall uses a system based on these cons to deny or delay coverage on approved medications by doctors
Since my wife and I are retired since 2006 we have found Express Scripts mail order to be the best bang for your buck for our prescription needs
Getting the medicine delivered to our door~
Having a great customer service to call is great too
Having a prescription with a 90 day supply saves money for everyone!
Thank you Express-Scripts for being there for us!
Never had a problem before getting stuck with express scripts. Every time I Call I am connected with a liar. First they tell me my account isn't active on my brand new platinum ppo. I keep calling trying to get things resolved but I'm in a busy doctorate program and can't keep wasting my time with them. I overpay for my med and move on hoping it will be resolved by the time I need a refill. They try to overcharge me again (they're charging me more than double what I paid under my old plan- a bronze hmo) and this time they tell me I can't have the 90 day supply I literally picked up from the same pharmacy 3mo earlier. They tell me the cheapest way to get my medication as a 90 day supply is to have it mailed ordered - still for double what I paid previously. Lies. I logged into the site and found that my rx is 100% covered at my university pharmacy. Lying to your other customers might help you steal money but I've worked in healthcare for 10 years- I know how much I should be paying for my Rx. Try being honest with your customers.
Three words "WASTE OF TIME" they hinder the process of receiving your medications in a timely manner with all their waiting around for authorizations from your primary care giver who is overwhelmed with so many other problems he or she cant keep up with with the foolishness of Express Scripts! Stay away from these people they provide you with plenty of headaches and no medication
Never can get your medication to you on time.
Customer service is a joke.
Deny medications that your physician prescribes.
Every single month it is a hassle just to get my meds and get them covered. If I had $1 for every form and appeal I have had to do this year, I could probably buy myself a new car.
There is such a language barrier with the regular customer service reps and getting a supervisor on the line can be the worst thing on the planet. I once called and asked for the preauthorization department... They asked why I wanted to speak to them... Hmm. I want to buy a trampoline WHY DO YOU THINK I WANT TO TALK TO THEM?!
Oh, and I noticed they are getting sued by numerous states for overcharging. Ugh.
I am complete shock that this company has any leg to stand on after reading other reviews of other customer experiences like mine. They mess up my prescription EVERY single time it goes to renew. I have to call and raise absolute chaos to get any point across and it STILL continues to be messed up everytime they touch it. I have spoken with management and they continued to tell me the issue was resolved and I will have no more issues. Well guess what... SAME PROBLEMS. Also, mind you they were releasing what medication my sister was on (also mind that she has a different last name, different address, and different INSURANCE PLANS). If that isn't breaking HIPPA violations, I don't know what is. I may just need to take it to someone else to explain my issues and have this company down in the dirt where they belong. If you could give them a zero star I would. Please don't ever waste your time to use this company for any medication.
Was charged a copay I was not informed of when making my order (that was previously covered in full)... until I recieved two automated calls that sounded like a scam from a number that did not show up when searched for on google. When I finally had time to call I was told I did indeed owe money and it had been 2 months and at a total of 90 days my debt would be sent to a collection agency.
Matter was not helped with I asked for a full name or ID from the representative and was told that she could only give the first letter of her last name and did not have an ID #. Twenty minutes later talking to a manager (as I was having a hard time paying online and did not fill comfortable giving my card information to someone without a full last name or ID#) and wait wait WAIT everyone has an ID# according to the manager...
Will never return to express-scripts and if ever brought up will discourage their use. DO NOT recommend express scripts under any circumstances.
Once again #expressscripts chooses to cover nothing. No valium, no epipen, no xopenex, no lidocaine patches no explanation. No assistance. When will one of our legislators help us. They cover about at the level of buying aspirin. Every year it gets worse. I pay for this and pay a copay.
I hate the mail order they mess up your order send you all kind off different manufacturer medications when you been on the same one for years. I rather pay more at a local pharmacy because at lease it will be correct and the people will be nice to you and I want have to keep going back in forth arguing with express scripts they don't care how they talk to you they have attitude problems all the time. I HATE to pick up the phone to even call them... I am going back to a local pharmacy and deal with a 39 day supply I can't take this anymore I suffer from MIRGRAINES and they make me have one sometimes just by trying to get my point across and they try to make you seem like you stupid!
I had placed an order for medication online on the 21st of September and had followed up with one of Express Scripts representatives by phone. There was a mix-up with one medication (prescriber information was not correct). This was quickly corrected and I was assured that I would get both medications within a week. A few days later I am getting a text that the prescriber did not respond. I am calling the office and am told "Oh yes, this company. They always claim that they contact us but never do. I just checked. Nothing from them. We will send authorization right away." On October 6 I am in my doctor's office and alerting her that I still have not heard. I am assured that they will call Express Scripts immediately. They do as it is documented on the Express Scripts website but the medication is still not processed by October 12! Instead, there are cancellations of the order. When I am calling in I am told that it is all my and the prescribers fault. However, they can expedite shipment if I am paying an additional $21 fee!
EXPRESS SCRIPTS!
I was sent the incorrect medication, Called to return it. Was told Return Envelope on its way just send it back then follow up with a call to make sure we credit your account... Yes thats correct I have to call... Fast Forward 4 weeks to Today. I call looking for said Return Envelope, Sorry sir we dont show a request for a return. Todays Call was with Erika. Do you want to return or to dispose of the medication. Whats the difference? Return you might get a refund, If we approve, Dispose is no refund Oh Ok. What are the terms of the Dispose option... I dont know she says I will have to trandfer you to the Disposal Department... Really? We wil get back to you if we decide to approve the return. Do they have a drug for Bad Customer Service. Oh and one last thing, they ask if you can stay on the line for a quick survey... That's only if you havd a Lovely Experence... I was cut off...
We are military so in November 15 we moved on November 8 i change my address. Express Scripts delivered my 7 year old daughter's medicine to the wrong address but I did not find out until 3 months later when they call to ask me to pay a bill so they can send her next prescription. When I informed them that I knew nothing of a bill that I owed and that the last time I received her medication from them was in Oct 2019 which I paid that bill and she confirmed that bill was indeed paid, but the January medication they sent out that needed to be paid. They give me the address it was delivered to which is the wrong address but she tells me I still have to pay it because they didnt see the change of address made back in November 2019 but I log in a see it. So the want me to pay $120 for medicine I did not receive and to get the new medication
Worst decision ever, I thought they wold be good since their medicare supplement s great, but they absolutely suck, if you need to speak to someone, you have to go through the whole automatic process until you finally get someone who barely speaks English, and just keeps telling you what the computer, they will never actually answer your question, and will just keep trying to get you off the phone, I spent 30 minutes telling the guy that the website says if I order, my total is $393.00 he kept saying that it should be $141.00 THAT'S WHAT I''M TRYING TO TELL YOU... I finally gave up. Maybe my local pharmacy can help. Now I just got a message that my order was received, apparently, the idiot went ahead and ordered it anyway
Placed an order for my fathers insulin 2 weeks prior to running out only to have them ship the insulin 3 weeks after the order was placed. We were told over the phone that they couldn't start processing the order until the day he ran out and that it took a week to process because "sometimes it takes longer and we should count yourself lucky it went this fast". Even after thw processing it took ANOTHER 2 weeks for the insulin to arrive. At this point the insulin was warm in the insulated container and I had to get a replacement at a local pharmacy. Of course Express Scripts fought this attempt. ZERO stars and an F BBB rating are exactly what this company deserve.
Denies coverage, requiring lengthy process by MD to validate prescription, and then weeks for turnaround (IF approved). And NEVER their fault. :/ Company policy must be "deny til they die."
Bad customer service, deliberately complicated "prior authorization" process, high out of pocket costs, predatory policies of low or no reimbursement for medications they chose not to cover.
This is the worst online pharmacy ever. DO NOT USE. They lie and tell you anything to get you off the phone even the supervisors. Left me 7 days with no pain meds, never again? 0 rating
Express-Scripts publishes a formulary and post prices. I ordered medication through a local pharmacy and, ex post facto, Express Scripts wants additional money because of their mistake. The pharmacy provider has an enormous contract with the Department of Defense. One can only imagine the graft, corruption and bribes that must be evaluated. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!
They are the worst, it takes hours to get through to them. Once you get thru they dont know what they are doing. So many problems, promised call backs from supervisors that never happen (Patient coordinators) VERIZON PLEASE TREAT US EMPLOYEES BETTER SWITCH TO A DIFFERENT COMPANY!
Answer: Fairly easy. They are just rude and incompetent. Delaying filling prescriptions.
Answer: It's a legit company with the worlds worst service
Answer: No. And since hell would have to freeze over before I ever actually do purchase anything from Express Scripts I want to have a success story.
Answer: I pay a monthly charge which is part of my Medicare Supplement Insurance. The total premium is $439 a month but it also covers other charges Medicare does not. Then for each drug Express Scripts charges a maximum of $20 for 90 pills if generics are used. Non generics depend on the medicine; they can be much more expensive.
Answer: I had no choice, it is the only option through my employer.
