Everything is okay but they will make you pay more if you accesing their site from an apple device. I checked on both laptop, android pad and iphone and you know what? On iphone the cost for the same flight was 20% more than on laptop and pad! Like if you own iphone than you can pay more. So if anyone want to save money - make an order through a cheap device or borrow it from a friend.
I booked a room through this company and found after I booked it that it could not be cancelled. I lost the amount paid for the room because you get billed up front on your credit card. I also found that if you book through expedia, that AAA and AARP discounts aren't accepted. I will not use them again.
It was really a great shopping experience for me. I bought a dress from here. The design of the dress is really unparallelled & awesome. I order from here way too often. I have ordered a couple dresses. Their sizing to me is very consistent. They deliver it to me with in 3 days. I am too much pleased with their service & the quality of the product with price. Measured myself before ordering, so the dress fit perfectly. I will definitely order here again!.
I twice made arrangements through them, and they had no listing of my transaction when I wanted to make changes or corrections. I changed a booking for a motel -- they cancelled the first booking and made another booking FOR THE SAME DAY that I had cancelled.
When I tried to correct a mistake on a booking made through them with an Airline, they basically said "you are on your own", not even aiding me in making contact with the airline, let alone backing me up in my dispute.
Long waits and dropped calls seem the rule rather than the exception.

On 3-30-21, I was informed that Expedia issued a credit of $120.00 incorrectly and as a result I was unable to use it. I was refused a refund of $120.00 and had to purchase a flight out of pocket directly from the airline. Expedia is not willing to resolve this matter or provide me with any documentation supporting it.
On 3-22-2021, a separate credit was used to purchase an unauthorized ticket. I had a credit of $688.10. The ticket I authorized for purchase was $122.00. Which would have left me with a credit of $466.10. However, the agent purchased a ticket for $648.00 without my authorization or knowledge. On 03-23-2021, I addressed this matter with a rep and refund of $466.10 was submitted due to the unauthorized purchase.
On April 2,2021, I received an email stating that the refund submitted on 3-23-2021 will not be honored.
Expedia owns Hotwire and they share customer service facilities. During the course of three hours on the phone, I was lied to, told three different stories and hung up on. They never resolved my problem. Best Advice is STAY FAR AWAY.
I booked a bundle deal from New York to Sao Paulo and soon realized that I paid more on Expedia than I would have if I booked the flight separately and the hotel on the hotel's website. I reached out to Expedia and they have refused to help.

We have been booking with Expedia for several years and have spent thousands of dollars with them! Our most recent booking to Nairobi from Amsterdam we were booked on a flight with a layover in Paris instead of a direct flight, of which we were unaware. When we requested a rebooking on the direct flight Expedia lied to us and said that in our "recorded phone conversation" we stated we did not want a direct flight and would prefer a stop over in Paris. WHAT? How much sense does that make? But after FOUR hours on the phone they would not budge and wanted to charge us almost $2000 to change our flight. I will never use Expedia again - they did not present us with the preferable options, then they lied to us about it, their management customer service was difficult to understand and uncooperative and they did not stand behind a long standing loyal customer. Never ever use them again!
I booked a "transferable" trip USA to UK and paid $2,650. I had to cancel and rearrange the dates, and when I did the fare was $611 less. I was told the difference was only useable on the new booking due to the airline policy (Virgin Atlantic), so I asked to upgrade seats. I was told I would have to contact the airline directly. I did so and learned from Virgin that they had only been paid $2,037 and the rest of my money remained with Expedia, and they told me "this happens frequently, and I would have to call Expedia to try and get a seat upgrade". Expedia played dumb, and when I asked to speak to a supervisor, they held me on the phone for 44 minutes before dropping the line.
Lies about "Airline Policy", and deliberate actions to pocket my remaining money. Never again Expedia!
I made a reservation then 3 weeks ago needed to cancel and was unable to reach anyone. I tried to cancel and wasn't able to on line, and tryed for days to reach a person with out any success. Left a return number and never heard from anyone. Well now I will lose my $367.00 because I'll Beano show. I called the hotel and they said I had to go though Expedia. The virtual thing was no help either. I would give no stars but they don't have that option
I like Expedia and have had good experiences except for one time - I don't want to focus on the negative, but I think it is important to know this because we certainly weren't prepared when it happened to us. We had an emergency and had to change our flight. We had even paid extra for the insurance - but they couldn't help us get another flight without paying full price! We were told we would have to get a refund for the first flight separately. When we called the airline that Expedia had booked us with - they couldn't do anything because we were Expedia customers. So we were in limbo, with nobody helping us and ended up having to buy new tickets at full price. After it was all over, we did get about half the price of the original ticket refunded to us.
When booking a flight through expedia, they will sell you tickets without important details like baggage allowance. Additionally they will sell you departing and returning flights without important details that do not match, such as being allowed to check a bag on a departing flight, but not bring the bag back home with you on the returning flight. The information is not display anywhere on the expedia website. This is a terrible and rather deceptive user experience. When booking a round trip ticket one would assume that the baggage details of each flight would match up and if they did not that one would be alerted to this fact.
They make you feel like you are getting a good deal on a ticket, when in reality they are scamming you.
In the end I had to purchase a new return ticket that allowed me to bring my bag back home with me. Expedia would not refund my return ticket. So I ended up paying much more.
Very unsatisfied customer. Hotels or car booking might be ok but do not book flight through expedia. It's a 3rd party agency. We spent 15hrs at deverted Airport because flights were changed without acknowledging us. Ruined our travel, expedia said it is not their job to let me know about flight changed but the airline itself. Expedia has my info, airline sent them notice but didn't notify us. Never again. Save yourselves a headache.
Bought flight, cruise and expensive travel guard from Expedia. Because of Covid 19, with all countries placing travel ban and cancellation of trip, Expedia does not want to give me refund with the money I paid. All customer service gave me run around, placed me on hold and never take care of the costumer. Very disappointed.

There's nothing wrong with expedia until you need to call customer service up. They have arguably one of the worst customer service departments I've ever experienced. Imagine being out on hold for over an hour whilst you're in a foreign country, and racking up over 50 USDs, only to be hanged up on. Because of their unwillingness to invest in decent customer service, and my previous bad experiences with online travel agents, I've made the decision now to only use their services as a search engine to find out which airlines offer the most competitive deals, and then I go directly to the airlines website to purchase tickets. They have better customer service departments that qctually care about their customers, and don't have these massive eaiting cues.
I booked a flight for late March 2020. As you might have guessed, it was cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The way Expedia managed my request was professional, the process was transparent, and now I'm willing to book my next flight via their platform.
Purchased KLM Business airline tickets through Expedia to Europe in March 2020. While in Europe my return flight was cancelled by KLM due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Delta partner attempted to re-book, but was not successful. I had to purchase another return flight ticket to return home, which took me 38 hours travel time. I could not reach Expedia and was put on hold for hours. Since being home, I have attempted to work through KLM, Delta, and Expedia to have the return ticket cost refunded. KLM has stated that they will refund the ticket price, but I need to work through Expedia to initiate the refund process. Expedia refuses to do so. Submitted a complaint to the Department of Transportation (DOT) and a dispute through my credit card company. This is the first poor review that I have ever written. If I could have given Expedia a "0" I would have. Please stay far, far away from this company.
Don't expect to get much help from expedia if something goes wrong.
They changed our 6 hour flight to a 14 hour layover, and said our only other option was a 22 hour layover. They called it a "minor change" in our flights... not so much minor to us...
We called to see what they could do, with no help. My Fiancé FOUND another flight with no layover, we called them back and told them and THEN they fixed it. We literally did their job for them?
Also, they refused any compensation because they said changing our flights was compensation enough. Next time I go anywhere, the last place I'd go is Expedia.
I cancelled a reservation weeks before I would have owed some of my deposit per the "contract language" on the Expedia web site. Upon cancellation I immediately received an Expedia email stating my full deposit would be refunded. Next day I get a partial refund from the property owners. I then asked Expedia to investigate. They then call the property owners who I am told charged me an administrative fee and they do not do 100% deposit refunds at any time. Expedia told me too bad; I need to argue with the property owners. I was put on hold for 90 minutes when I asked to talk to a supervisor and after 90 minutes I hung up. Another 30 minutes later I received a call back from a supervisor and withing approximately 30 minutes later I was told the full refund would be made. He was very pleasant. I will continue to use Expedia in the future
I am forced to travel a lot because of my business nature so I praqctically have to use some sort of a website like expedia is. I make most of my bookings through them and I am satisfied 99 percent of the time. I would recommend it for sure!
Answer: You were lucky to get through to anyone at all at Expedia. I've spent hours and hours and hours over three days trying to get through to anyone on their customer service phone line, their chat line and their e-mail, all to no avail. They really owe their customers much better customer service.
Answer: Demand to speak to a Supervisor though you better have time because it will take anywhere between 30 minutes to 2 hours. Once the Supervisor does nothing or little to nothing to resolve your concern, ask to speak to a manager. Get ready to really wait. DO NOT ACCEPT THE "WE'LL HAVE A MANAGER CALL YOU WITHIN 24 to 48 HOURS" When you figure out you don't matter, sit down and right a review!
