I have recently begun purchasing from eshakti, and the negative reviews confuse me; perhaps they were expecting Amazon shipping speed, because with this, you do have a wait, which they will tell you when you check out. Honestly, my first purchase contained several items that just did not fit. I ended up returning most, with FREE return shipping, but keeping one that I probably should have returned because it was tight through the shoulders. I just really needed a dress at the time. Anyway, I took the first ordering experience to tweak my measurements. I even contacted them to ask a few questions about measurements. Second time around with the refined measurements, and the fit was almost perfect. I kept more items, but still returned something. Again, FREE returns. Third order, I added a notation that I was in between on some measurements (down to 1/2" increments at this point). I am to the point now that I can expect a pretty darn good fit, especially if I chose designs that are a good fit for my figure. I think if you are willing to be a little patient, and understand that they are literally making these clothes to your exact measurements, and also be willing to go through a little trial and error, then you can find a great resource, especially if you have anything less than standard about your size. I am 5'10", long waisted, thin waist, broader hips and shoulders. The things off the rack at department stores just do not fit me like these clothes do. There are endless options, and with the ability to change the neckline, sleeve or length, you really can make it totally different from what's shown and uniquely yours, so why not try! Seriously, you'll see some things that make you laugh... but look a little closer... If you changed the neckline, the length and even made it sleeveless... it could be a whole new look. Some things are better quality than others, but for the very reasonable prices and the ability of FREE returns, you just can't lose!

I will also note that on my first order, it took longer than anticipated to arrive. I received a notification with apologies that that they were running behind, and a $20 gift code for a future purchase.

Order two dresses shocking quality, longer at the back and very shabby stitching. One dress was floral but had think black stitching that made it look cheap and nasty. Took ages to get anyone to answer my emails and they only got gift voucher not refund. Used gift voucher to order another dress that has the wrong alleges and neckline to that ordered. All in all just avoid them cheap crap, wrong orders and no customer service

I have been trying for a week now to get my reimbursement after purchasing my first order on the eShakti app, and the order not going through. Each time I talk with a customer service person they insist it must have been PayPal, not their app, (although PayPal worked like it was soposed to) and send my complaint to another department and tell me to wait 24 hours. I still haven't gotten reimbursed. Very dissapointed with the app and the customer service.

After waiting with abated breath, my new dress finally arrived and I am overjoyed at the quality, detail and especially the fit. IT FIT PERFECTLY! I am roughly 6ft tall and I ordered the dress in a 2x without the customization. Normally I would have problems on the top as I'm somewhat smaller there, but this dress FITS PERFECTLY! Is it okay if I say that again? IT FITS PERFECTLY! Can't wait to wear it and show my friends! I'm searching now for my next dress. Beautiful work everyone! The two week waiting period was definitely worth it. I will be recommending you all to everyone I know. THANKS FOR HELPING ME LOOK GREAT!

I think its ridiculous of Eshakti to say they didn't understand what I needed as I had responses from them saying they understood exactly what it was I needed - they just didn't follow through. Too make it worse, they finally processed the first return and did NOT refund my shipping - I had to wait over 2 weeks for a shipping label from them, because they forgot to include it, and then why did they dock my shipping? Because they didn't receive it 30 days? How would that be my fault, instead of theirs? The shipping label they FINALLY sent took 11 days for delivery! They are basically just thieves! Filing another complaint with them, yet again!

Claire, we are sorry that you have had a poor experience with us. Your order contained an overstock item. We do state at the time of purchase, that refunds on overstock items can only be via Gift cards and shipping refunds will not be done. We have not refunded the shipping fee on account of this policy, not on account of time of receipt of the goods. This information is carried quite visibly right next to the Add to cart button on the pages.

Posting here again because it's the only way to get a response - if anybody else tries eShakti and has a terrible experience like me, I'd recommend posting here directly... it's like they only care if it's posted here!

They sent me a return label for the one dress, but still haven't made a return option available for the first. This place is such a ridiculous rip off. I'm planning to report them to the better business bureau to see if it'll do any good and save someone else from getting their money taken.

I had two gift cards from Eshakti, one set to expire end of May, one not until December 2017. So towards the end of May I found a dress I liked and ordered it, applying the May card, obviously. I was so annoyed to then see that they had applied the one that expired later, and left me with about $50 to spend on the other card, when there was no other dress I like. So I wrote to customer service. It took them 4 days to get back to me, and the $50 credit expired in 3 days! So, I bought a second dress right before midnight on the night it expired, even though I didn't much care for it. Fastforward 2 weeks, both dresses have arrived, and neither looks good on me. So I go to return them, and find out a return label was supposed to be included in both boxes, but not one of them had it! Worse, for one dress the "return" button isn't even showing next to the order, so I can't start the process! They are a total pain in the butt,, and I spent about a hundred bucks on two crappy dresses that I'm not sure I'm going to get back at this point. What a rip off. STAY AWAY FROM ESHAKTI!

Upon strong recommendation, I purchased my first item from eshakti on May 4th, 2017. I received it on May 31st. As it was custom made, I found the length of the order and delivery to be relatively timely. I tried on the dress and to my dismay it was far too small. As a well-endowed woman, I am used to the lack of uniformity between one company's size 18 and another's. The dress, however, fit like a 14 or 16. Deflated, I immediately begin the refund process. After 17 days, I received confirmation of receipt. 21 days later I am following up on the refund. I placed the order over 2 months ago and I am just eager to close this transaction.

Not honest

I ordered a custom-sized dress from eShakti. After ordering the first dress I went back to the website to order a second and the dress was sold-out. Then eShakti asked me to confirm measurements on the first dress. I promptly remeasured and confirmed the measurements. I received an email saying that because my measurements are unusual (what is the point of a custom size?!) that my order was canceled. The truth is they ran out of the fabric. If they had told the truth I would have had more time to look for a different dress. Worst online shopping experience I've ever had and I've ordered dozens of custom items. STAY AWAY.

I ordered a jumpsuit from eShakti that I am absolutely in love with. I usually can't fit into generic jumpsuits because I am pear shaped and medium tall- I find that most jumpsuits are made for tall and thin women. So I decided to try eShakti's custom fit option. Its the best made item in my closet- the stitching is perfect, and the material is comfortable and breathes well.

I give the company four stars instead of five because I think the returns process needs to be worked on. I had to make an adjustment to my size the first time so had to exchange it for another piece. There was no shipping label in my delivery box so I had to email them about it. It was all okay in the end because customer service is very responsive and I really like my outfit which is what really matters. I would order from them again, especially since I really like their collection.

I saw an advertisement for the company on Facebook and they were offering a $25 off coupon on your first purchase, so I thought why not. They have some really super cute and unique designs on there. So, I was very excited. Found a sweet little dress that cost $32.95 and thought, "That's awesome. With the coupon I can try one product for a reasonable price and if I like the quality, fit, etc. then I will definitely purchase more in the future!" Even saved a ton of items in a wish list for future purchases. Never once did the coupon info say anything about a minimum purchase amount... until I got all the way through the checkout process. My total before shipping came to $7.95. Okay, cool. I hit the button to proceed to the screen to enter my payment method and I get a message that say "Oops! The minimum order value is short of $30. Would you like to add something more so you enjoy the discount?... Or (You will be billed $30)." Wait, what?!? Or you will bill me $30?!?! Red flags flying. So, I'm out! To anyone considering making a purchase, I'd say proceed with caution.

They won't correct their own mistakes, and won't process refunds that they've promised to submit in writing and over the phone!

The backstory: The company sent my first order several weeks late and then agreed to apply the credit to my new order when it took them two weeks to approve the first return (so basically they delayed providing me with a return authorization until after the return window closed). For the new order, I should have been charged the about $20 after the credit/refund. Instead, eShakti did not apply the credit to my new order and charged me $142.38. I have now spent weeks emailing and speaking with them and have been promised a refund several times, but it has not happened. "You should see the refund in 24-48 hours" and "Yes, I see we have multiple tickets open on this issue and are working to fix it" and "Our supervisor will call you back by the end of the day". It's now nearly4 weeks later and there is no refund in sight.

Like many people here, I experienced extremely long shipping time (over a month) and was disappointed in how it was handled. I ordered 3 dresses for a wedding almost 2 months ahead of time. After I was told the dresses would arrive in 2-3 weeks, and didn't receive anything by that time, I contacted eShakti. At that point, I was informed that the dresses had not even been sent yet. I was FINALLY provided a DHL tracking number that basically showed the dresses sitting in India for another 2 weeks. By the time they finally arrived, it took almost 7 weeks for them to get to me. I was in frequent contact with customer service the whole time and expressed how disappointed and frustrated I was. Never was offered a discount or coupon for the trouble and bad shipping times which is just basic customer service. I didn't even get an apology or anything for the fact their terrible shipping and process caused me to not be able to use these dresses for an event.

If you need a dress for an event, go somewhere else!

THEY MADE IT Happen

JUST Want to say I LOVE love eShakti. In April I ordered a dress for a wedding I am participating in in June. My busy schedule basically didn't permit me to even open the box. When I finally did the top was too tight. So I got in contact with eShakti and Guess WHAT they made it happen. They Custom Fitted my dress for me and remade it. They were helpful and patient and certainly AWESOME customer service.

I reached out directly to them and made it happen. I will be ordering other dresses from this seller

I recently made my first purchase from eShakti and my last. The dress I purchased is offered in multiple colors but when I received mine, it was a different color from what I ordered (I double checked the record of my order online to make sure the mistake was not mine). I contacted customer service and they informed me they do not accept exchanges but I can return the dress. She said she was sorry to hear I wanted to return the dress but didn't apologize for the error eShakti made. This is unacceptable to me. As a company, you should own up to your mistakes, apologize for them, and FIX them!

After I wrote a review here I did finally get a response from Eshakti saying they would extend the free shipping and 25$ discount new customer code (the site bounced my credit card when I originally tried to order the first time). They contacted me by email, and gave me a new code for 25$ off and said they would refund my shipping costs if I gave them my order number. I ordered, and sent them the number right away. It's now been a couple of weeks and I haven't hear anything back, nor have I gotten any kind of refund. I don't know if they're waiting until it ships and then they'll refund me, or what. Either way, not super impressed. The website says I should recieve my dresses and jeans on the 16th of June, we'll see if they stick to that and if I end up getting a refund in the end.

I tried about 5 times the evening of May29th to put an order through, and it kept saying my card was declined. Now i've missed the 25$ off and free shipping and I'll likely go somewhere else to get these items unless they can give me back the new customer discounts. Not impressed, there was absolutely no reason for my card to have been declined, and when I tried another way, my paypal didn't work either. The whole point of the new customer discount is to entice people who have never ordered before to give your store a chance, definitely a big fail on that one, especially since i'm in Canada and our dollar is so low right now. I don't want to order from a new website in USD without some kind of discounts. I sent in an email to their customer service, we'll see if they get back to me.

Dress Arrived today- and I LOVE it! Fits beautifully- I am 5' 9.5", have a long torso and wear plus size: it's very difficult to find clothing that fits and is flattering on my body type. EShakti's customization option worked out perfectly: the waist actually sits on my waist rather than just below my bust line (which is what usually happens). Additionally it shipped on time. After reading the last month's reviews I expected to wait about 4 weeks for my dress (Which was cutting close to the special event that I bought the dress for) But where the avg. Was 4 wks I decided to chance it. I ordered the dress online on 5/31/2017 and it arrived today 6/9/2017- which is even before the estimated date of delivery which was listed as 6/12/2017.
Overall the dress was well made and of high quality and the shipping time was great for a customized dress shipping internationally; I am very pleased. Needless to say I will be a returning customer! I highly recommend!

I ordered a long, white, floral dress. Being plus size, it's hard to find clothes that fit well and are flattering. While it did take some time to get the dress, I had no predetermined event so I was happy to wait. To be honest, I really love the dress! The package was quite flat and I wasn't convinced there was a dress in there until I got it open. It's quite a dress and is made from good material. The lining is helpful since I don't love the feeling of the outer material. I feel like it's a touch short and I even upped the length. But it won't be too big a deal for me since I don't wear heels. Can't wait to find somewhere to wear it to!

In short, I love the dress. Yes, it will take time to get to you so plan ahead. I'm not positive if all the customization they say happens actually does so be aware of that. Beyond that, really happy. Will purchase again!

I purchased 2 dresses in the early part of May for my graduation in June. I am graduating on the 12th and from the look of it, I won't receive my dresses in time because it appears to be still in India. I am highly disappointed and frustrated! If I had known there were issues with delivery and was being shipped from India to the US, I would have done something different.

Long story short. I ordered a dress and shirt. After I paid for my order, I requested for the top of the dress to have a different neckline. I received a message via email that it could not be done because it was unavailable on this item. Back and forth me and this person communicated via email. I ended up calling there 1-855 number, had to leave voicemails after waiting for a customer representative. Finally I kept calling back to back, reached someone and she says the person you had been communicating with via email thought you were trying to make changes on your shirt... urggg! My email says dress not shirt. After the person I spoke with via telephone said she would fix it, I received an email saying my account is on hold. Are you tired already from hearing about it... because I am. Make a long story short, they say my dress will be sent 6 Days after the event I ordered for. Unacceptable... now I have to go find a dress last min for a major event. Buyers beware, if you are ordering a dress to just have because it's cute... by all means order from this company. However of your ordering for a specific purpose. Order months in advance and have a couple backups because you never know with this company. What makes it really bad. The customer service don't apologize. An apology from any customer service representative would have made me feel a little better and not be so angry about the situation. I will no longer support this bussiness.

Ordered two dresses a little while ago. Took Very long to arrive in australia, but satisfied with the fitting. I did however think that i had made two changes (above knee And cap sleeve), but ended up having one dress above knee en one cap sleeve. Looking back at the order that was correct but I am confinced I ordered. So it might be that standard you can only Add 1 option... Will mind that next time because it was a bit of a led down waiting for two months and not exactly getting What I was Hoping. For everything else, Awesome dresses!
